"The Plaza Hotel and Casino hosts the only fireworks show downtown, with options for viewing at the pool or Carousel Bar. The Legacy Club at Circa Resort offers a premium viewing experience."

"The centerpiece of what the Plaza describes as its 'reimagining' is the 2,500-square-foot Carousel Bar. The elevated bar offers seating for nearly 100 along the perimeter, in booth seating, at the counter, and on the outer rail facing the Fremont Street Experience." - Janna Karel

"The Carousel Bar at the Plaza is now eyeing March of next year for its opening. When it debuts, the carousel-themed outdoor bar will feature animated elements like carousel horses that swing up and down, martini glasses that spin, and larger-than-life dice. While it nears completion, the Plaza has revealed some of the cocktails that will debut alongside the showpiece bar. The “money in the bank” is a tequila cocktail with Aperol, pineapple, and lime that is garnished with an edible $100 bill. The “carousel grand pineapple” is a blended piña colada served in a real pineapple. Order the “dealer's choice” to roll the dice and let Lady Luck determine what goes in your drink. You’ll roll three dice – for a spirit, a mixer, and one other ingredient, and a bartender will mix up your concoction." - Janna Karel

Unfortunately we wanted to enjoy our time yet the server when asked to split our tab said can't you pay in one because it's too much paper and too time consuming to do 😑 he earned a $1.00 tip because he was straight unhappy and not serving with even a minimal smile .. if you don't want to serve find some other job 🙄 I tip well normally especially in Vegas. Server I'm complaining about is in the one pic that you see a guy in the background. Sorry not sorry for calling you out

Stacie and John are absolutely incredible. They are the friendliest humans I've met in Vegas. You need a cocktail, Stacie got you. After talking to me and getting to know me a bit she made me a cocktail based on my personality (i couldnt decide what to get) and she nailed it!!! Cant wait to come back and see Stacie and John! Also, you can eat a $100!!!

Location is amazing under the lights! Fantastic drink options and in really fun applications. I loved the margarita flight and the One Hot Mama. The only outside gaming option in Vegas. Played video poker for about a half hour at $1 denom max 5 and got 3 comped drinks. Left up as well. Super fun place to people watch too!

The Plaza Hotel and Casino is a landmark of downtown Las Vegas, a classic, as vintage Vegas as it gets. Located at the beginning of the Fremont Street Experience, it is a famous building that has been featured or is visible in several movies, including the 1971 James Bond film, "Diamonds are Forever;" "Back to the Future Part II; "Casino," and "Pay it Forward. The hotel's entrance is a dazzling display of lights and colors that welcomes you to a world of entertainment and excitement. The entrance features the distinctive dome (where the Oscar’s Steakhouse sits) and covers a new circular bar below it, called the Carousel Bar. This bar is a unique attraction that offers cocktails, and outdoor video poker machines in a life-sized, animated Vegas-themed carousel setting. The Bar has carousel horses that move up and down, a spinning martini glass, a deck of cards, and a 14-foot-tall neon showgirl sign that invites you to sip in style. The entrance is a destination unto itself, where you can take the best instagramable photos, chill, people watch, or host an event under the iconic glittering lights of the Plaza's porte-cochère. A must see for sure!

First time staying at Plaza. Carousel Bar is AMAZING. Shout out to Luis, Victor and the rest of the bartenders and barbacks!! They made it a lot of fun to drink and people watch! See you all next time!

Google
Iconic spot. Take a little time and enjoy the view down Freemont!

Google
Amazing service for all the bar staff and cooling spritz to keep cool. Great views of the start/end of Freemont Street

Very cool experience at the Carousrl Only stopped to catch an Uber that had an amazing drink that has pop rocks and lemon and now I’m in love. Elizabeth was an AMAZING bartender. We’ll be back…very soon.

Yelp
The Carousel Bar was my choice for nightcaps during my most recent stays downtown at the Plaza Hotel. It does not disappoint. It's located right in front of the Plaza, and Fremont street is just a crosswalk away. So it's great for people watching. The bartending is good, and the prices are reasonable at least for beer. For instance, a 32 ounce draft beer is $14.00 and some change with the tax. If you do the math, that's essentially two tallboys for about $7.00 each. It's roomy with lots of seats, and there is video gaming at a lot of the seats. The name is a bit of a misnomer, though. The bar doesn't actually spin. That might be a good thing. When the weather is nice, it can't be beat. It closes at midnight with last call being called roughly at 11:30 p.m. or so. Cheers!

Yelp
Gorgeous little bar! Perfect for photo ops. Had a perfect dirty martini for our engagement shoot and got the best photos. Service was friendly and helpful.

Yelp
Service wasn't so great. Wonderful location and great atmosphere. Bartender wasn't very attentive despite having a somewhat empty bar.

Yelp
A recent addition to downtown right in front of The Plaza hotel near the end of Fremont street. We visited late afternoon on a Sunday and had no issue grabbing two seats at the very large circular bar. They give a cocktail menu with drinks in the $15 range and we ordered two; the soggy and sandy (fruity, frothy, not very strong but in your choice of a whimsical tiki style cup) and old fashioned (standard, nothing fancy). They have varieties of beers, seltzers and shots as well. Bartenders were hit or miss. Ours was very nice but others seemed not interested in interacting with patrons. Since the bar is so large, it's a little hard to make small talk with those nearby you, which is one of the funnest things to do at a bar! We were also disappointed that the bar didn't rotate. For some reason we thought it did but probably just a misconceptions based on our experience at other bars this style. You got a bit of a carousel feel with the round bar and a rotating mirrors above the center. If you want a true rotating experience, visit an alternate bar one block up on Fremont. It's an ok bar, a little on the higher price side for downtown but cheaper than the strip.

Yelp
The vibes are very cute and it's a great photo spot. Definitely more chill when it comes to service, which is a nice break from the high high Vegas energy. Pick up the adult capri suns and enjoy some gambling right at the bar.

Alessandra G.

Yelp
A fun bar where all of the drinks taste good and the bartenders are all very nice. It was nice to get out of the direct sun underneath the carousel.

Nicki M.

Yelp
So glad I came to see this new bar. I was intrigued since it was inspired by the New Orleans bar, but I was hoping for a more carousel feel or maybe real carousel horses as seats, but it's not very over the top. I do however, love the history of the dome ceiling being the old pool and love the instagram worthy drinks! Service was good.

Yelp
Great place to take a break and enjoy a cocktail. The drinks aren't cheap and the bar doesn't spin, but the drinks are strong and when you standup, it feels like it is spinning :) Service is great and overall, super fun place to grab a drink.

Yelp
I had SUCH a fun time at Carousel Bar! The atmosphere here is excellent! I mean how could you not have fun on a Vegas life-size carousel! Service was fast and friendly! Our drinks were delicious I got Money in the Bank! It's a tequila drink! Then my hubby got oscars old-fashioned - excellent!!! I can't wait to come back here again!

Yelp
Mood: New spot downtown Super fun, cute, and new downtown Fremont bar! If you are looking to grab a tropical drink and people watch under the historic downtown Plaza Hotel. We had the sweetest server who gave us a cool run down of the menu and signature cocktails. Drinks: Carousel Grand Pineapple 7/10: a while pineapple is very nice filled with rum, frozen Pina colada and captain Morgan. Nothing really too special over all but it's tasty and good size. Miami Vice: Strawberry and Pina Colada Daiquiri :7/10 Yes it's a typical daiquiri so don't look for something special I really gave it a 7 because the size of the cup. When it's hot out and your walking around this place works.

Yelp
First time hitting this spot. Sits by itself, but literally across the street from all the partying on Freemont. It's an outdoor bar with plenty of sitting. It was a chill atmosphere on the night that I went. Wanted to see what it was all about and ordered a drink. I didn't see the drink that I wanted on the menu, but the waitress said that she could fix it for me, and she did. I wanted to take a cup as a souvenir. My partner ordered a frozen strawberry margarita, and I ordered a long island iced tea with the souvenir cup. Both came to $42.

Yelp
Such a fun addition to Freemont! This is a great hangout to relax and people watch, the bar sits right in front of the Plaza and overlooks Freemont St. we came here multiple days and the staff was hit or miss but the drinks were good and the ambiance was on point. They've got booth and bar seating and there is a ramp so scooters and wheelchairs can access the bar as well.

Nichole R.

Yelp
Enjoyed sitting here to catch a break from all the hotel seeing. Had some really great drinks and even ate fake money. The drinks were probably some of my favorite on Fremont!! Service was great and the view was enjoyable.

Yelp
This is a chill outdoor bar for when the weather is nice. I got Money in the Bank which is a tequila drink with an edible $100 bill. Although the bartender couldn't tell me what it was made out of. Great spot to sit and people watch. You have donuts right across the sidewalk.

Jim J.

Yelp
All the stars for good bartenders, good music, they were playing 90's. The nice ambiance, awesome prepared drinks, they were all absolutely well crafted and delicious. The Manhattans, Bloody Mary's were spot on. BUT, the bar does not slowly move in carousel circle because of insurance liabilities. Anyway if you've been to the original New Orleans carousel bar be prepared to be disappointed that this one doesn't carousel lol.

Yelp
Tried Soggy & Sandy, One hot mama & Oscar's old Fashioned. They were good! FYI - no free water here, need to buy a bottle if you're thirsty.

Sunny L.

Yelp
What a hidden gem! Amazing bar with amazing service. Shy was awesome! Definitely a must stop when downtown.

Brandy L.

Yelp
Neat Place with good service a great drinks. We stopped here for a couple of drinks before moving on to the next bar.

Kevin M.

Yelp
We had been looking forward to checking this place out and finally did. We were a bit disappointed. Not in the service or the selection of drinks, but in the atmosphere. Yes, I know the old saying, "if it's too loud, you're too old" but when you can't carry on a conversation with the person sitting next to you, it's too loud. I know that they are in competition with the music coming from Fremont Street, but man! The service was great, the selection of drinks was equally great.

Jazzmine B.

Yelp
Kevin was the greatest bartender ever. He's polite, funny and kind. The bar itself is beautiful and right off the street so you can people watch.

Red F.

Yelp
Drinks are very good but Elizabeth is incredible... I'd come to the bar just because she has awesome energy and is one of the best customer service people I've ever seen.

Lynn P.

Yelp
While my daughter and husband enjoyed there drinks I was charged $14 for house vodka which was supposed to be a dirty martini not good. Sad I really wanted to like the bar. It's cute and looks like normally a good place for drinks.
