This carousel is a great addition to the mall and has been around for a long time, which speaks to its reliable maintenance and lasting appeal. It’s always clean and well-kept, offering a pleasant and enjoyable experience for families. What sets this carousel apart is how much bigger and less crowded it is compared to others in the area, like the ones at the zoo. This makes it perfect for a relaxing ride without the usual hustle and bustle, giving both parents and kids a chance to enjoy the moment. My kids absolutely love this carousel—it’s their favorite! The fun, colorful animals and the smooth, steady ride always bring big smiles. One tip: if you want to go for another round, make sure to line up and re-enter after finishing the first one. If you're looking for a fun and stress-free carousel experience, this is the place to go. Highly recommend for families!

I took my son to ride. There was no one there. I got off after the ride and handed the young man our extra token and said my son was going to ride again. My son picked a new animal he wanted to ride. A group of women told him that my son was trying to ride again for free! And he immediately kicked my son off because that animal is the one their child wanted to ride! I quickly went up and informed him I just gave him the token 2 min ago. Both he and the ladies were rude and inconsiderate. When I approached him to tell him I think it would be nice if he allowed my son to ride one more time, as he had been eyeing the zebra. He was right off the bat defensive and rude. At one point even smarted off telling me I can have my son get off.

FYI to all the people out there. If you are going to ride on the Carousel at Memorial City Mall, make sure to only give your Tokens one ride at a time or the carousel operator will kick you off without finishing your rides if you give your Tokens all at once. June 7, 2024 at around 6pm-6:30pm we bought 6 tokens total for 2 kids. Each kid has 3 tokens which they should ride 3 times for 1 token is equivalent to 1 ride. In the pictures below is showing the 3 rides, each of our kids were riding. On their 3rd ride they are on the second floor but this time the carousel operator were kicking them out of the carousel because she was saying that they are on their 4th ride, that the kids were on the second floor twice. I said that's not true, that's their 3rd ride which you have not spin the carousel yet. That's the first time they are on the second floor. And she was even saying that the kids only gave her 4 tokens, which is not true because we got 6 tokens total. And she even said that they are on their 4th ride. She handled the situation very poorly. I told her we got in on video, and she yelled at me back we'll we got video everywhere. So this time I wanted to gain access for the video from the mall to show her that she was big time wrong. I talked to the lady security officer and told her what happened. She's really nice and direct us to file a complaint about it to the center of the mall where the big clock is. She gave us non emergency number to call but was told to file a police report for us to gain access to the camera footage from the mall. I asked from the non emergency officer where is the nearest Police station from the Mall and was told I can go to the nearest Police station at 3203 S Dairy Astrid Rd Police Station. We drove there on that the same day but the Police officer we talked in person told us that it there is no criminal case so they couldn't make a police report for it. Emailed Ms. Ramirez regarding the name of the Carousel operator but she never replied, even left them a voice message but never heard anything from them. Called again the same number the next day but was forwarded to the Carousel Manager. So I talked to him Mr. Travis and was told that they will talked to the Carousel Operator. I told him for the incident not to happen again to other people to please make sure they will only accept 1 token at a time and to make sure everyone is out of the carousel each stop, so they won't missed they're counting or wrongfully kicking out people who paid for their rides. No amount of money you can pay for the embarrassment we got from this incident.

The Carousel inside the Memorial City Mall is a great addition for the kids. It is located just beside the Cinemark Movie theater. It is a unique two level carousel. The carousel ride, with its enchanting whirl of colors and melodies, offers a timeless joy to riders. You should keep cash to ride the carousel. Even if you don't ride, just to observe the beautiful carousel running makes you nostalgic.

Google
Love the carousel. No weird metal sound. The whole things is well maintained. Clean and colorful. Special needs kids can also ride. Only problem you have to have change to buy the token and then ride it. Seriously!!! Nobody carries cash nowadays. My kids missed a few opportunities because of this cash-token issue.

Johnny Nigh

Google
They don't accept any type of card even though two of the four machines have card readers. Who the hell carries cash on them these days? Must be why only two kids were on this on a Friday evening.

Amber

Google
This is well maintained and it's still pretty. Both of my sons love it. My issue this last time is that the card reader wasn't working on the machine so I couldn't buy any more tokens. It's a good thing I still had two from the previous trip to the mall because I didn't have cash on me. It would be nice if the ride was a little longer, it seems to be over rather quickly and there wasn't anyone else in line so I don't understand the rush.

On Wednesday, June 19th at 3:15 pm, my family and I visited the carousel to enjoy a ride, as we typically do on our days off. Our two-year-old daughter has a special fondness for the carousel, and we have been regular patrons of this attraction for some time without encountering any issues. However, during this particular visit, we experienced a concerning incident with the operator on duty. The operator in question, an elderly woman who appeared to be new to the role, interrupted our daughter's ride by asserting that two people could not ride the same horse. Despite our attempts to rectify the situation by having my husband hold our daughter during the ride, the operator displayed impatience and rudeness towards us. Her actions, including banging some tokens on the counter and giving us hostile looks, were unprofessional and left us feeling uncomfortable. After the ride, the operator made a rather cryptic remark before declaring she was on a break she said “you know what?” So my husband replied “what?”. It was evident that she lacked the necessary patience and customer service skills required for dealing with young children and their families who visit the carousel. While we have consistently enjoyed our visits to the carousel and found the younger operators to be friendly and accommodating, this particular incident stood out as an unfortunate exception. It is our hope that steps will be taken to address this issue so that all visitors, especially children, can continue to have a pleasant and enjoyable experience at the carousel.

Yelp
I almost gave up on Visible Changes Memorial. But Pam changed my mind. Pam has a great personality and is not afraid to wash, cut and style my hair (think hair). She listed to what I wanted to do and she out did herself. Thank you, Pam.,

Yelp
Love the area! It's beautiful particularly during Christmas. Memorial Hermann has a nice tall tower nearby!

Yelp
Why is this mall not a 5/5? Because it's very easy to get lost even with the signs they have posted and the map of the mall that can be found online. They should make their online map interactive like the Willowbrook Mall on 249 did. You can enter in a destination shop and a shop close to your current position, and the Willowbrook map will chart a walking course to reach said destination. Memorial City Mall, being bigger than Willowbrook Mall, needs this feature more and suffers due to not having it. This is the missing piece of an otherwise phenomenal mall. There is so much to do here. I don't know who decided to add an ice skating ring, but doing so builds so much character. There's also an AMC (where I watched a movie from the International Film Festival), Frolic's Castle (a fun place to take your kids if you have any), a giant fireplace where I can just sit down and vibe, and a wide selection of takeout restaurants that the Willowbrook Mall can only dream of. With repeat visits, you can overcome the issue of navigation, but this is by far the best mall I've been to on the west side of Houston.

Yelp
This is a nice mall. They try and keep it clean and updated. I've started walking there some mornings & really enjoy it. My 4 instead of 5 stars is because almost all stores are for younger people so I just enjoy window shopping. It has a very nice theatre, and an ice skating rink with a fire place nearby. A few good stand alone restaurants and a food court with a carousel for the littles.

Yelp
Our shopping experience at Memorial City mall was less than enjoyable yesterday, 3.26.22. This mall use to be my favorite but not anymore. At this point I am not even sure if I will ever return at all. The parking for this mall is almost unbearable. Yes there is a parking garage but it was full. The majority of the stores we went into the sales associate were just down right R U D E. We work hard for our money and if you think I am going to give you some of my hard earned money after you gave me ATTITUDE, you don't know me very well. We even had a woman talking extra loud in my daughters face. (That was in Macy's - WILL NEVER SHOP HERE) We left this mall in less than an hour and we were so disappointed in our experience.

The carousel operator even lied to the manager claiming our kids went out of the carousel after the first ride. Look very closely to the mall camera footage you guys have since it's only for your internal use and you will see they never stepped out the carousel but instead they changed each ride for each stop. Because we told them to do it like that so we can make sure we count our 3 rides correctly. You kicked them out on their 3rd ride, which you haven't spun the carousel yet because your claiming that they are on their 4th ride. You're a LIAR, not us. No amount of money you can pay for the embarrassment we got from this incident. You guys needed to make your system is clear and right. And make sure your service is better as well. We didn't just picked our money on the floor for you guys to just steal it from us by not giving us the service or exact rides we needed it ( I mean the kids needed it ). She took all of their 6 tokens and kicking them out on their 3rd ride. That was not right at all. I guess that was stealing because she don't want to give the full service that was paid already. That should have been a criminal case right? Anyways just watch your tokens people. Don't trust your whole tokens to the Carousel operator. One more thing also. You are working as a customer service personnel where you are interacting with customers face to face. Why do we see that grumpy and angry face like you don't want to work there? How about a little smile so people will be happy riding your carousel.

Yelp
Regardless of how one feels about extreme gentrification or in this case, commercialism, one can't help but realize that Memorial City is easily one of the most ambitious Houston ventures ever. Many folks are quick to think about the mall (#1), but Memorial City is really much more than that. It's a commercial district, comprised of several malls (#2) complete with constant growth and has become a bonafide tourist attraction. The massive development practically screams Texas. Through its many iterations over the years, the area has been ripe for jobs and plenty of real estate. The *CityScape* has become a recognizable district of sorts; blending in a series of complexes that span from retail to medical to practically forming its own neighborhood over the course of the last 5 decades. And just to prove the point that just about everything is here: It is also the site of Memorial Hermann's Memorial City Medical Center (#3), which despite opening over half a century ago, is still one of the largest hospitals outside of the Medical Center itself. If I'm not mistaken, this is actually where the Memorial Hermann HQ is located. And yet in spite of it all, it's still only second to The Galleria in terms of mall space. Given its aggressive expansion goals and recognition for its constant development, it's only a matter of time before it becomes the most expansive (#4) commercial district in the city. ____________ (#1) After all, shopping is just as much an art as it is a sport in these parts. (#2) CityCentre, Town & Country Village, Memorial City Mall, etc. (#3) https://www.yelp.com/biz/memorial-hermann-memorial-city-medical-center-houston (#4) Expensive too.

Yelp
great place to get some mall walking done while it is hot. Two laps gets us 3 miles. AC kept at nice temperature Tip: get there around 09:00-09:30 and there will be almost no one there but other mall walkers. After 11:00, starts to get busy

Yelp
Not to be confused with the Mammarial Seedy Mall, which is a pretty seedy place full of mammarial delights. Although this is basically the same thing honestly. This is a rather gorgeous shopping mall which has been redone to the extent of absolute beauty. We like coming here and will probably do so on many more occasions in the future. Barbie always looks spectacular when she comes here to the extent that she is definitely my favourite part of the scenery. But there's a lot of great scenery here now that they've glammed it all up so much, and it's also a pretty expensive mall. But if you like people watching then there are always some very attractive people here and also some pretty scandalous things going on for whatever reason. For example last time we stopped by we saw a girl who couldn't have been more than 21 cavorting and canoodling with a guy that couldn't have been less than 60, wearing thigh high boots that he'd just purchased for her. Anyway, they were having fun or so it seemed. Oh and did I mention she was wearing a pair of Barbies boots basically. Anyway we love this Mall and its food court, which has several wonderful options although sadly a couple of them have closed down recently.

Yelp
One if my fave malls lots if diversity and wide selection of boutiques without the highest end designers that you galleria would have. I don't mind skipping the galleria traffic unless it's necessary.

Yelp
Love Memorial City Mall, my daughter loves that It has the only American Girl Doll Store in the City of Houston. Also, we love that they have a Children's Place Store, Apple Store and Target . A plus for us is visual security onsite in the parking lot. We love all the options for lunch and dinner her at the mall also.

Yelp
this mall is pretty standard overall. food court is pretty small and the seating is not great. some of the decorations are nice. variety is not great.

Yelp
We came for the Target not knowing there was a whole damn mall attached to it. This mall made me mad. Specifically the food court. There's Thai, arepas, and Mediterranean food!!! The options for food at the malls near me sucks. This mall is really big with some nice stores and a couple that we don't have in DFW.

Yelp
In the past 5 years, we took our girls to the First Colony Mall to visit Santa, and sadly it sucked, for 5 consecutive years. This year I decided to make a change and went to the Memorial City Mall, and the Santa Experience here was GREAT!! For the same price $39.99 per digital package, we used to receive only 2 images from the First Colony Mall, but here we got 11 digital images! The Memorial City's Santa experience was beautifully decorated with all LED lights. All staff members were helpful and efficient enough to keep the line moving quickly. The Santa here looked much cuter and cleaner than the same old Santa that we had continuously visited in the past 5 years at the First Colony; I'm not judging but just don't feel right taking my daughters to see a super skinny, exhausted looking Santa in dirty clothing. Super glad that we came here to visit Santa, the girls had fun. At the end of the event, we were gifted free tickets to ride on the huge Carousel in the food court. Sure will come back next year to visit Santa again!

Yelp
Right now everyone is being cautious because of the predicament we are facing with Covid. This is one of the top malls in Houston and we love it. I heard even Michael Jackson visited l. There is tons of closers due to the pandemic. However the mall still has a a little crowd especially in Target. I was surprised it was a bit of a crowd. Stores that was closed when I arrived there was; Lush handmade cosmetics America girl doll Kay jeweler Disney store Champs kids Frolics castle I don't know if there closing for good or was closed early because of lack of business. That's another thing everyone is closing early or ontime which is now 7pm and of course on Sundays sooner. Target stays open a little longer dk about Macy's schedule but they did as well before the pandemic.

Yelp
I hate malls. I can't say it enough. I don't really know what possessed me to come here on a busy Saturday as huge crowds aren't my thing and most of the cute stuff are gone. Whatever is left is all out of sort so if you do find something cute but it's not your size you have to hunt for the rack with the other pieces as the sales reps are busy restocking tried on items. That's kinda gross too (some people don't wear undies). Anywho, I ended up buying a eyeshadow kit I didn't need but desperately wanted. I was impressed by the abundance of stores, specialties, and restaurants. The people who were shopping looked pretty happy and gleeful so I can tell it's a pretty popular mall. So please do go if that's your thing. There are a lot of stores and I was impressed that it is a relatively clean and bright mall. Pretty inviting. I also love that Target is part of the mall as well. Kudos for that! I will probably come here again as it is so close to where I live and they have all the make up stores I like to give my hard earned to. Money, that is. I'll be back on a weekday when kids are at school and people are at work.

Yelp
Pretty good mall with high ceilings, ice rink, a very useful target, Cinemark multiplex theater, and spacious food court with favorites Chick Fil A & Chipotle. I really appreciate good malls these days given the struggling retail landscape. Nice family play area inside and outside (soft artificial grass with a large Disney screen and a few little play structures and things). Oddly there are three Marble Slab Creamery locations in here. Great to see the Lolli and Pops.
google avatar

Philip P.

Yelp
Average mall that's heavily crowded during peak hours. Best stores are Macy's and Target. I miss the good ole days when this mall had exhilarama (when you can play arcade games for 10 cents) and eat from sbarros pizza which no longer exists here. Anyway, I saw an interesting project car while window shopping today.
google avatar

Dave O.

Yelp
It's an indoor Mall..... Very convenient logistically to my hotel. Massive space...with lots of name brand stores and shops but not a place I'd want to be anywhere near during Christmas season. I'm sure I'll return when I must.
google avatar

Cassandra P.

Yelp
Doing a wonderful job keeping things social distant. Saw a few folks without masks or wearing them haphazardly but to each there own I suppose. Great store fronts some areas of the mall look like a cute little town. Long lines at some locations, I.e. Apple has a line system that leads to about 6 booths think bank teller style. Issue I have with this mall is there is not a location map to be found.
google avatar

Yelp
This carouse is the best. For those who don't know. Philadelphia toboggan company is the best type of carouse. My family went to the one in Carlson county Colorado and it's an original. This one is new age. But awesome because it's in our mall and it's 2 stories.

Yelp

Yelp
2.5 stars for me. I happened to be in the Memorial area of Houston unexpectedly by a surprise appt and stopped at Target for cough drops. Next thing I know I see the mall opening. Obviously Target is connected to the Memorial City Mall. So I decide to take a quick walk to find the food court for some ice tea. While I'm touring this mall I notice a very different clientele of stores. The stores seemed to have an overall feel of lower quality stores for women and no upscale furniture stores that I noticed etc.. It was obvious though that there were more men's sporting wear and athletic shoes in comparison to my local mall. Dolce Cannoli was in the middle of the mall it seemed. They had a decent selection of basic Italian desserts, pizza and wine. I stopped in a few of the women's stores but was annoyed with the lower quality merchandise. It seemed more for teenagers and 20 year olds. I'm open to purchasing youthful clothing but the quality needs to be there. I really got bored with this mall and never did find the regular food court despite the sign arrows. There are several cheap quality kiosks selling items I would never waste my money on. I guess it's a-ok for the average younger shopper so 3 stars. If you're looking for higher quality 4/5 star malls I would check out The Woodlands Mall, The Galleria and Town and Country area. Lots of parking on the weekday at least.

Yelp
This mall shocked me by it's size and large selection of stores. It's definitely got a little bit of everything. Like, Galleria big. Not gonna lie though, any mall with Chick-Fil-A in the food court makes me smile as is. I'm also a huge fan of frozen yogurt, and they've got me covered there too. The other reviewers were right, parking is craaaazy. I can't imagine how packed it gets around the holidays. I won't be in sight to find out around that time either. I recommend coming early and prepared to stalk people to their cars. I would come back, as that doesn't really stress me, especially when knowing what to expect. I only hit up a few stores on this visit, but next time I'll browse some more.
google avatar

John W.

Yelp
By far my favorite mall, they have all the major retails along with other smaller brand stores, that I like. I don't have to go to several different malls just to shop for me and my family.

Morton G.

Yelp
This deserves a ZERO rating and the Memorial City Mall (MCM) needs to shut down the VIP Holiday Photos before more people get scammed. Beware of this scam. This year the Memorial City Mall VIP Holiday Photos offered a high-resolution digital package where you download the photos 1 day after the pictures are taken. They sent a link to the photos via email but the link said the high-resolution photos were not ready. We tried accessing the photos for 4 days then decided to call the number listed on the page. After going through an automated system, we finally spoke to someone. They said they would send the pictures via email by end of day. It never happened and after a week we still haven't received the digital photos. It's a really sad world when you can't even trust Santa.

Yelp
I really do enjoy the renovations to this mall. I remember growing up and this was pretty bad mall. With all of renovations this mall can be compared as a mini galleria, especially with their ice rink. The parking here can be terrible. The addition of parking garages has helped. Overall, this is the only mall besides the galleria and outlets that I even bother with anymore.

Yelp
This mall has numerous store for any shopping appetite! They have a food court inside with almost any type of food that you may want from pizza, McDonald's, Chick fil-a, sandwich places etc. As far as stores you can find almost anything you may need here. Clothes, shoes, tennis, high end clothes, major anchors, and there are numerous kiosks the middle walkway. They really hustle for your business. There is even an Apple Store there! The reason I was there, they have Cars and Coffee car show every first Saturday of the month. There are a lot of high class, high dollar cars on display: Ferraris, Lamborghinis, as well as Corvettes and some old school cars. I must say it is well put on and minimal problems. There are crowds of people that attend. I also notice a few vendors from the mall take advantage of the crowds and setup outside. People would prefer not to have to go inside the mall to get refreshments when you can get them right outside. Great idea! I usually visit every month and it was the first time I saw the vendors. I will definitely keep that in mind next month.

Yelp
We went walking here at 9am. The mall opens at 10am. To get in 10,000 steps, we walked every corner of the mall 3 times. It gets crowded at 945 with people waiting to get into the stores. Idk if I'll be back. Maybe.

Yelp
I love being able to get in and out of a mall in a flash. Coming here on my days off during the week is a breeze. It may not be as big as Galleria but they have pretty much everything I need. Plus the Target on the side is a huge bonus! Parking is always reasonable to find as well.

Yelp
Honestly, we only checked out this mall for the kids play place I heard great things about it so we had to check it out. Getting here is pretty confusing FYI: the GPS is pretty confusing. Once you're in, though, it's your run of the mill, middle-level mall. Nothing expensive or extravagant but it'll do. The play place, however? AMAZING. It is in a fairytale, castle-theme and even features a separate area for toddlers. Love that it's gated and guarded by security, too. Little guy had a ton of fun and I enjoyed letting him loose. There's a Cheesecake Factory which we enjoyed for lunch. Nice little outdoor play area near there, too.
google avatar

Yelp
We love this mall. It is usually always very busy but they have some of the best stores and the main mall is all on one level. Their are great anchor retailers here; Dillards, JC Penny, Target, Apple, Sears, Etc and a really good food court with fast food counters as well as full blown restaurants with table service. The mall and the parking lot / garage are always clean. The bathrooms are too. Major props for the family restroom and nursing room for the moms. Can't wait for our little one to get older and be able to play on the indoor play place. It looks like SO much fun! Memorial City Mall is great for walking too. We will park in the Dillards garage and walk all the wall down to the ice rink going to some of the larger retailers along the way and can easily rack up 5k steps in the comfort of the malls AC.

Yelp
Doing that stupid covid waking in a line shit again to get into a store, other than that great mall.

Yelp
How much this mall has changed since the first time I walked in. The upgrade was so needed and the add attractions are a good addition. Memorial City Mall is a good mall for shopping and eating too. They have a good patio for food to choose.

Yelp

Yelp
Good department stores and a lot of people, there are many parking spaces, but if a lot of people do not have parking spaces, then must find and long, but it's convenient for everyone Have an amusement park with children There are many restaurants to choose from. There are different price products, not good people together. Mixed together, but have to be careful about small children as well, because there may be burglars There are a lot of children in the skating rink. There are many families, young men and women. Because there are many restaurants around

Yelp
This is one of the last mall's of it's kind. Great mall, but very crowded and parking is always full during prime time. They either need to expand or something, I felt like it was a fire hazard with that many people walking around at one time. Will only be back when it first opens, never during prime time again.

Yelp
Facilities are clean and I like that there are variety of shops. There is plenty of parking. It has good seating areas for when you are tired of shopping and need some rest. I enjoy food variety on food court and the fact that there is a theater, an ice rink and spaces for parents to entertain their children.

Yelp
The food is always good and consistent. This is my favorite restaurant to dine at. Staff and managers always friendly.

Yelp
The mall by itself is good and large. But the service is so bad, i went to buy the sunglasses at the counter, when i tried them on my face, the black lady as a seller at that time, she came and told me that you cloud try only 5 times, But it didn't show a board on the counter that customer could try 5 times before purchasing, And when she saw the sunglasses left in the box which was people would put them on after trying, she followed me and blaming that you already tried 7pcs, i told her that wasn't mine, her acting is rudely, at the end, even i bought it,, i feel so bad which her service. She didn't have a service mind, i hoped her impolitely behavior will be changed with customers because she worked in the service departments, Customers came to buy things, spending money. That means she still has a job!!!!

Yelp
I love this mall! It has a great deal of cool shops and eateries. It is clean and in a great location. There is plenty of parking and it is relatively close to me and my go-to place for shopping. My nieces love coming here, especially to visit the trendy clothing stores and fancy candy shops. If you haven't been to this mall, definitely stop by because you will not be disappointed. There is Michael Kors, Zara, Forever 21, Fossil and the list just goes on and on...something for everyone here!

Yelp
I really like this mall . It's came along way. There always upgrading it and trying to make the most nicest mall it can be, and there doing a good job at it as well . Love the ice skating ring and also that they have a movie theater . Plenty of parking. I've been coming here since I was a kid . Hopefully they add an arcade there . They use to have one . Oh in Christmas time it looks marvelous . They decorate it really nice to .

Yelp
Awesome Houston mall that seems to have just about everything. Anchored with Macy's, JC Penny, Sears, etc and all the chain stores you'd expect to see around a mall. The food court is massive, but they still scatter restaurants around the mall, including Panera and Cheesecake Factory. There's even a Target on one end. There's a skating rink at one end of the mall and a Cinemak theater at the other. Pretty much every branch of the military recruits on site, and they even have a bank assocated with the area. You can even leave your car at Sears to get an oil change while you shop. As others have said, the parking lot can get crazy, especially on weekends. In most places it's still fairly safe, but the mall draws a diverse clientele that includes some shady figures. Overall, I've never felt unsafe in the parking lot or in the mall.

Yelp
My favorite mall. Not too big like the Galleria but not too small like the others. They have a variety of stores. They have the biggest Forever21 and it was renovated so it looks a lot nicer. They also have a big Victoria's Secret, Bath&Body, Macy's, Sephora, and etc. Just to name a few of the stores I always have to stop by. Their food court is decent, not as big as the Galleria. Parking gets crazy during the holidays. I like to park at Macy's since I can parking much easier.

Yelp
In addition to shopping there's plenty of other options to do here including cinemark, dining, children's play area (both indoor and outdoor), ice rink, trolley train etc. Theres sufficient parking here, garage parking as well as big open parking lot all around. Parking is pretty much available on any regular day, however during peak holiday seasons its heavily packed. It features a big list of stores ranging from mid to few high end brands, including major departmental stores Macys, Dillards and JCPenney. Another advantage is having Target within the mall to do the regular household shopping. Frolic's Castle is a fun play area for the smaller kids. Most of the time its full of kids along with their parents/caretakers. People can either keep their shoes outside or keep it underneath the seating benches inside. Its not the cleanest but considerably nice and clean. Its great that there is no charge to play here. The entire mall is pretty much clean except for the restrooms, I have found the restrooms sometimes clean and sometimes not; so I try to avoid it. This mall is not as grand as Galleria but a decent place for shopping and dining. During holiday season, the lightings are worth seeing.

Yelp
Memorial City Mall of yesteryear bears no resemblance to the mall it is today. This is now a mall for the birds. Reasons why: -Every store I used to like going to is now a shoe store. -Shoppers walk at an unnaturally slow pace with disregard to fellow surroundings. -There are two Marble Slabs. Two. No establishment needs a Marble Slab (West) and a Marble Slab (East). Probably one of the reasons every one is so slow now. -I walked into a 'Buckle' and a sales associate asked me "Who are you looking for?" upon entering. -Amy doesn't work at Visible Changes anymore. -Too many dads reading books on benches which lead to child armies roaming the north end of the mall and the food court. -Closes at 9 on a Saturday. Very disappointed Memorial City has become West Oaks Mall 2.

Yelp
Everything really is bigger in Texas. Memorial City Mall is no exception. And it's got something for everyone. Lazy? The parking lot is so big that they offer valet for those of you too weary to walk from the far reaches. Hungry? The food court is enormous; the sheer number of options would be overwhelming if Chick Fil-A wasn't already a foregone conclusion. Bored? Go play around in the arcade or watch kids ride the double-decker carousel until mothers glare at you suspiciously. Whipped? The Forever 21 (excuse me, XXI) has TWO FLOORS of merchandise that you can sulk around in as your girlfriend and her niece shop. Tired? Go relax on the couches (!) conveniently provided by the the bathrooms and fireplace. Or if you were smart enough to bring your computer along, you can play on the free wi-fi. And best of all, Memorial City has an ice skating rink. Getting out on the ice is fun, but it's even more entertaining to watch some idiot from Brooklyn who has only been on skates one other time in his life. Chances are that as he falls, he'll flail his arms wildly and punch his girlfriend in the face in front of her entire family, several of whom probably own guns and already didn't like Yankees.

Yelp
Great place, doesn't have a lot of stores like other mall do, they do have ice skating, which it's pretty fun and good places in the food court, it's not that crazy, so it's a great place to shop
