Absolutely fantastic, initial server was a bit brusque, but the lady who took over was a star. One of the best meals we've had in a long time, and will be a new LA standard for our trips. Portions are very generous, we had 7 mezze between 2 and just about finished.

The kbbeh nayyeh (Lebanese steak tartare) was so delightfully creamy — I have never had anything like it.

Delicious, super tasty food. Very warm, traditional, pretty and inviting atmosphere. The staff and manager are wonderful as well. The manager had excellent communication, hospitality and management skills. Very pleasant. Really appreciate it. Very good desert selection as well and nice presentation. Thank you so very much. 🙏🏻

This is a wonderful halal Lebanese restaurant in LA, and I highly recommend it. We ordered many dishes, and they were all delicious. The only reason I didn't give it a five-star rating was the twenty-minute wait for a table despite there being many available.

Mixed reviews for me. The food definitely was a good quantity and tasted pretty good, but everything had too much lemon in it. Like it actually made it not taste so good. But if it had been a little less, I would have given it 5 stars. We did have only vegetarian though When we went they only had outdoor seating in the heat (did have shade though). Looked like they were preparing for a big event, so I can kinda live with that.

Last week me and my friend decided to go eat at Carousel and it didn't disappoint The atmosphere was great The waiter was very friendly and attentive We ordered cheese borek, liver sauté for appetizer so good And yogurt kebab and beef shish kebab for main course, very flavorful and delicious

We ordered kebab combo with chicken breast and ground beef kebob. I requested it be made juicy. It was good but dry, not as good as any Persian kebobs we order from Masis , Panini, Kabobs by Faraj and many others. The taboleh is great. The grape leaves were good, but some canned are better The feta cheese platter was ok. The meat and cheese portions were small. The rice pilaf? Ok .... The garlic sauce was mostly mayo. The pita was great. The baklava phenomenal. Not ordering from them again unless they lower their prices, and then not sure.

I've been to both carousels the one in Glendale. I found to be a little bit more boisterous and overwhelming than the one in Hollywood that was smaller and had a calmer vibe. Both places food are delicious particular stand out for me is the eggplant and all of the little dips to go along with the main dishes. Big thumbs up and if you live in the area, definitely come to eat.

I love coming to carousel's Hollywood location it has a different vibe. The servers are very welcoming and friendly and the food is great, we ordered so many small dishes to share during my last visit and everything tasted great.

One of those must haves when you're in LA. I love the Hollywood location but there's a fancier one in Glendale if you're into that. The best Lebanese/armenian food I've had in LA and the there's so much of it. Go with a hungry group and eat through course after course of Mediterranean goodness. The kabobs and the hummus/pita are highlights for me!

First time here. Trying Dine LA event. This place was a wonderful surprise. A little while in the wall place, in a small shopping mall. The service was super nice and neighborly. The food was ON POINT and plentiful. We definitely got our monies worth and more. I highly recommend this place and I definitely will return for more deliciousness!!

Friendly in their own way. Not in an overtly smiley American sense. But it's nice to see them openly welcome their returning customers, as if having an old friend over for dinner. The food was delicious. I was happy with every dish, even the cabbage salad that I almost told them to leave off. Looking forward to going back and trying some new stuff.

Great food and service. Overall you cannot beat this places hummus and kebab. I would say this place is probably the best Mediterranean food in this part of town.

Wanted so much to gatekeep this place for myself but it's too good not to share with others! I love coming here with a group and getting one of the family style orders. We got the Carousel Party tonight, which was more than enough (probably too much) food! The food here is consistently high quality and delicious! This is also the perfect place to celebrate a birthday- near the end of dinner the restaurant blasts a fun birthday song while the staff (and usually the rest of the restaurant) sings/claps and brings out your cake with a giant sparkler! They don't have a cake cutting fee though they do charge $7 for the sparkler. We had a great time celebrating my partner's birthday tonight, and I'd highly recommend this place for other celebrations!

We were a group of 8 including 2 young kids visiting LA for a few days and needed a spot with decent vegetarian options as well. We had originally made reservations for 530 but due to traffic and delays we had to keep pushing the reservation and ended up with 8pm. The staff were super accommodating with our requests on a Saturday night. Our server was fantastic. They have a huge menu and she gave us several suggestions on how we could order and offered to let us know if she felt like we had ordered too much or too little. Everyone ended up getting their own entrees and shared a couple mezzes as well. There was so much food and everything was very delicious. The most popular item was definitely the chicken shawarma. The eggplant mezze and roasted red pepper mezze were also hits. We witnessed a fun birthday sparkler celebration where the lights were dimmed and everyone sang happy birthday. I didn't realize that this was a favourite of a certain celebrity but unfortunately we didn't have any sightings. Free parking in the strip mall is definitely a bonus!

Was in Little Armenia in East Hollywood and after hearing so many good things about this restaurant I am here to tell you, it's all true! Restaurant is located in a little strip mall on Hollywood Blvd. My hubby and I shared the appetizer platter for two, and it was delicious. The sarna was so flavorful, tabbuleh had a little more vinegar than I would have liked, although it was good, the muhammara was just right with so much zest, and the mutabbal and hammos spot on. Even the pita was tasty. And the portion size, plenty. Just love sampling foods from other cultures and this combo platter was so much fun. We also shared a chicken shawarma plate and a fool Mudammas. Their Armenian coffee was flavorful and robust. We both rolled out of there stuffed and happy. Wish this place was closer to home, nonetheless, will find a way back. Free parking in the lot out front.

Carousel is one of the BEST restaurants in Hollywood and Glendale and NOW IT IS MY FAVORITE! They donated meals to our firefighters on the ground and a friend sent a pic to me with my husband. THANK YOU CAROUSEL!! GOD BLESS YOU ALL!

I went to Carousel for Restaurant Week LA and it was a great experience. We got to try all kinds of things from their menu from beef tartare to pastries to kabobs and much more. Almost everything was really good, so I would highly recommend coming here and ordering family style to take advantage of all the great options. The space is also really nice and definitely adds to the dining experience. I will admit though I was not too impressed with the desserts which were baklava and a pistachio pastry.

My second time here , and each time I was amazed at their consistent quality. I also brought a vegetarian friend and he was so impressed by the amount of delicious options available. The ambiance was very nice and the service helpful. This is more of a family restaurant but you are coming here for delicious food. If you're tired of loud trendy over priced restaurants, then come here and be shocked by the quality and reasonable prices. There are not many restaurants that have this tasty of food for such a good price. I highly recommend!!!

Visited the restaurant on a trip to Little Armenia. The atmosphere was great and featured authentic decoration and music playing. It was an overall great experience. What we ordered *** Lamb Shish Kebab Plate: The lamb was fresh and delicious, especially when served with the yogurt. Like with the other dishes, recommend combining all the provided plate ingredients into a pita and eating it together! The flavors blend together great :) Mousakka Plate: First time trying something like this. As a fan of eggplant, I really enjoyed the texture and flavors of this dish! Pomegranate Juice: Surprisingly sweet and refreshing. Traditionally, pomegranate juice is very tart and sour, so it was a slight shock when tasting this drink (in the best way). Baklava: Very delicious and light! The entrée courses were large in portions, so we made the decision to split the dessert, which was the right choice for us. Would also recommend doing so if you each eat an entrée before. Armenian coffee: I'm not too big of a coffee enjoyer, but this coffee was very strong. Apparently, the differentiation between Armenian and regular coffee is in the process of its preparation which made it an interesting experience to try.

This is my go to place for Mediterranean food. I'm so fortunate that it is within walking distance. The food is consistently terrific.

Do you love good food? Then no need to read any further because this place is a whole other level for flavors, textures, everything! Word on the street is that this is Kim Kardashian's favorite restaurant and I can see why. Hard to go into detail of everything we ordered because we ordered almost every side dish and protein on the menu and got to sample everything for our pre- Hollywood Bowl feast. My absolute favorite was the Chicken Kafta and couldn't pick between my favorite sides but everything was so good! Can't comment on dining in since we did takeout but everything was packaged so nicely and in a huge box that transported well. Overall one of my best foodie experiences!

Been wanting to check out carousel for a minute now after hearing great things that they certainly lived up to. It's unassumingly located in Thai Town in the corner of a strip mall. This location is their OG spot--they have a second and larger one in Glendale. The restaurant offers "Lebanese-Armenian" food although I'd consider it mostly authentic Lebanese or arab food, although I suppose very similar to Armenian. It's a fairly nice sit down spot that makes one feel like they're back home having the real deal. We got the "Carousel Party" at $31 pp in which the server brings out an assortment of mezze, salad, and chicken & beef mashawe (grilled/ bbq'd meats). I highly recommend this option if you want a taste of everything. Everything was delicious and there was definitely more than enough food. Sidenote--you can BYOA (bring your own arak) for a small corkage fee :)

The best Armenian restaurant in Los Angeles! Quality and taste is always superb. Great service. Generous portions. My favorite are all the Mezza (appetizer) dishes. --Falafel are an interesting mini donut shape. Crushed chickpeas and spices, delicately fried. --Mousakka is a baked eggplant dish with onions tomatoes, chickpeas and bell peppers. Even those in our group who profess to not like eggplant, were raving about this dish! --Cabbage Salad sounds dull, but this is very tasty - thinly sliced cabbage with cucumber and tomato in a lemony dressing. --Baba Ganouj is similar to hummus but made with roasted eggplant, instead of chickpeas, and has a lovely smokiness to it. Theirs is top-notch. ----Hummus is the perfect accompaniment to all things middle eastern. Labneh Khaleejhi - a seasoning-topped labneh. Labneh is similar to yogurt, but so much better. --Sarma are grape leaves stuffed with rice and vegetables. At other restaurants, these are often tough and tasteless. Carousel makes them perfectly - tender, flavorful, and expertly wrapped. For large groups, the Event Menu #1 at $49 per person is a great deal. You get all the best dishes, and so much you will be taking home food for tomorrow's dinner! As we had several vegetarians in the group, the staff generously let us swap out some meat dishes on the set menu for some other vegetarian dishes which normally would be an additional cost.

Was unfamiliar with most of the dishes on the menu, so the friends who took us there (and eat there very frequently) did the ordering for us. I have no idea the names of the many dishes we ate, but everything was FANTASTIC! Every dish was tasty and fresh and all the flavors combined were amazing. Service was great, dishes were huge and a great ambiance. What a wonderful meal!

So delicious and I think authentic. I went with my friend who is Syrian and he loves it. He says it's the same taste as he had when his mom used to cook. You can't argue with that. I'm a fan too. We had the feast and boy was it a feast. I can't name all the dishes we had but let me just highlight my favorites from the meal. A slightly spicy steak tartare was the star of the show. Oh sooo good! A fried cheese empanada-like appetizer, the beef pita and the beef lula. We also had a super flaky, not overwhelmingly sweet baklava. It looks huge but it's not. Light and airy. I am a humongous fan of this place. We were there on a Saturday afternoon for lunch at the Hollywood location and there was plenty of seating. Parking is a problem. It's tucked into a rather small strip mall so get there early and snag a spot! The servers were quick and friendly. They were happy to explain what each dish was. My drinks were refilled often and they checked on us to make sure were were enjoying our gigantic meal. You must try it. Have a bunch of appetizers or order the feast. Well worth it!

I wish I could give this restaurant a 6-star review. We had a large group for lunch in lieu of a "wake" on a Saturday. The staff- Ari and Hovik, were responsive to our needs and extremely helpful in setting everything up; Ari called me back several times to assure me everything was "taken care of." On the day of, Hanna, our server, as well as several other servers whose names I do not know, were beyond accommodating and solicitous. Although we arrived early, our tables were set up, the food - always amazing - was waiting, the service outstanding! I want to extend my thanks for this well planned and well executed meal. Wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant to all!

Food was great, the service was slow. Me and my +1 decided to sit outside, but felt like we were being forgotten on multiple occasions. We had to keep reminding and looking for our server to fulfill our needs in the moment.

Love the good old here. You have to make reservations here for the better. We came here once in the late evening, and they gave us a table. We ate lots of Massomass, Hammous, Kebabs and so many different choices o food. Its a big place and a hard place to find parking. Place seem cleaned to me, Seats were looking good like a Greek style looking design. Nice customer service. We had a good time.

Excellent food and very attentive service! Outdoor seating doesn't have much of a view (parking lot) but that doesn't matter, it's the FOOD that's the star attraction! Highly recommended!

This place is a hidden gem of authentic and homemade cuisine. It's in the most obscure place but the food was amazing. The lentil soup is one of their specialties. This place is a MUST! It's so charming and the service is impeccable!

Food quality has gone down. Sadly, this is not the restaurant I used to know as carousel. We tried the eggplant dip. It tasted old. The hummus was great. The chicken kebab was great however, the beef Lula was pretty awful. We also got the liver which was subpar. The Glendale one is the same quality. Sadly, I'd rather go to Raffi's place.

I had such a great time at Carousel. This Armenian restaurant was perfect for a large group. We made a reservation for a weekday dinner, and the Family Style, pay-per-person menu was fantastic. We got the "Hollywood Feast" option, and there was plenty of delicious food to go around. I appreciated the wide variety of dishes in this Family Style option--there's something for everyone, whether you prefer the dips, vegetable dishes, or meat dishes (or simply, all of them). Plus, the great part was that everything ranging from the appetizers, to the sides, and the kebabs were astounding. The meats were cooked perfectly and well-spiced, and I particularly loved the feta and the Muhammara. A fun part of the meal too was the plating of the Maaneh (a sausage dish), which came with a flame underneath. Parking was a bit challenging because their small lot was full, but the staff member in the lot allowed us to double park and called us in from the restaurant to move our car (and claim the new spot) once the other people had to leave. Overall, I highly recommend coming to Carousel!

The food here is so good, it tastes like homemade cooking. I come here all the way from Orange County because to me, there is nothing like it in the OC. The food's consistent, flavorful, total comfort food. Food for the soul. The lula kebab plate, the mantee, the cheese byoreg, hummus, muhammara, yum. Just yum. The ambiance is perfect too. The only area of improvement for me is the service. While our server was friendly and attentive, they seemed a bit distracted when it got busier. It would be great if the staff could maintain the same level of attentiveness throughout the meal, even during peak times.

First time trying this place and I just have one word to describe it: Abundance!!! We had the family dinner for a party of 5 and let me tell you that besides everything being very tasty the amount of food is plenty for everyone, and even some take out. The place looks like a mom and pops restaurant kind of a family vibe, nothing too fancy but it's cozy, and our server was amazing, she really guided us on the menu and gave us suggestions so we didn't over order. I really want to do back to this place and try more items from the menu, or bring a big party and have the big sampler again, really recommend this place!

This restaurant serves some of the most amazing Lebanese and Armenian cuisine I've ever had. We tried the Carousel Party, and every dish was exceptional. I also had a glass of Lebanese wine that was absolutely delicious--wish I had noted the name, as I'd love to stock up on it! The service was top-notch, and the owner was friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend this place!

Take out tonight: - ALL EXCELLENT AND AT A GREAT PRICE( best in town) -Kibbe: large, perfectly seasoned, soft and meaty inside, firm outside: 5/5 -Hummus: very creamy, a little too much tahine for me, but overall very good! Served large enough for four. -Taboulé: Lebanese style with a lot of parsley and little bulgur ( very refreshing) Ready on time! Will come back as their muhamara is one of the best too!

70$ for 2 people, just a little plate, in FILTHY, dirty seats, the restroom in the middle of the hall. it was DISGUSTING! never go there

This place is the best Armenian food in Los Angeles and the people who work there are just as great , I recommend this place to everyone, those Grape leaves Sarama are highly addictive and the Armenian salad is my new favorite! Lucky to live down the street from this place

An absolute favorite.. Food is superb, fresh and sooo tasty. The Hummus is silky on the palette enhanced with freshly prepared Tabouli w/perfect amount of lemon to bring it to life. Fatouche, Fatouche, Fatouche The chicken breast kabob is juicy, perfect char and more than I could finish after all the yummy Appetizers. I have to add that the rice pilaf is almost my favorite thing fluffy, buttery and the perfect compliment. Oh wait I forgot the Lebanese Lemonade or Lemonade with Mint Divine! I would be remiss if I didn't acknowledge the service... Excellent they anticipate your needs for the best meal and experience.

An institution! The food is consistently perfect. And the staff both at this location, and the Glendale location are super kind and accommodating without fail. Have to give special thanks for great service to Sevan at this Hollywood location. Thanks to the team for amazing food every time!

Carousel, the Armenian restaurant, exceeded my expectations. As someone with celiac, I was delighted to find a plethora of delectable gluten-free options on the menu. The staff's exceptional service added to the overall positive experience. Personally, I couldn't get enough of the baba ganoush, hummus, cabbage salad, and the flavorful chicken Shawarma. Undoubtedly, Carousel is a top-notch spot for both its accommodating menu and superb dining atmosphere.

Everything tasted so fresh! Great job. Had the fatoush salad and the Greek salad. And had the filet mignon kabob. Hammous was great. No complaints. This place is the place!

We had lunch on sunday at the Glendale facility, and here are my main comments put in a positive light. Good points first: 1. Cleansiness 2. Ambience 3. Chicken tawook / rice taste, rating of 8.5 Negative points: 1. Fattoush salad prepared ahead of time, and the toasted pita bread was very soggy. Not pleasing to eat unless you have no teeth. Rating of 5 out of 10. 2. Hummus was horrible, lumpy and lacks any flavoring of garlic, lemon juice, salt. The consistency was rough like it was left out in the sun to dry, and not very smooth like a good hummus should be. Rating of 5. 3. Service: Under-manned. Had to wait for 10 minutes before anybody approached us and that happened after waiving multiple times at waiters which looked frustrated. 4. Price: overall ok for LA area, but $15 for a glass of crappy rose wine is over the top. 5. Bread: Micorwaved and not fresh. Bread that came with the rice was soggy and the paste on it had no taste at all, and tasted like tomato sauce from a can. Disgusting actually. Overall rating, a 6 at best and will not repeat the experience again. If you don't give a good first impression to your customers and take care of them, they won't come back. Count me out.
