Two Robotic Wok Trucks Are Roaming the Streets of Foster City - Eater SF

"The owner of San Francisco’s mobile coffee truck California Kahve has found herself the owner of Golden Gate Park’s beloved, century-old carousel, per this fun scoop from SFGATE. Molly Welton now runs the carousel and its petite food kiosk, and plans to open in mid- or late August with sandwiches, pastries, smoothies, and, of course, coffee. Welton told SFGATE she wants to put a “spotlight” on the carousel: “It just feels like this magical and iconic thing that needs a refresh. It’s kind of hidden and forgotten about.”" - Justine Jones

Great place to take kids! The carousel is extremely affordable—like others said, you buy them at a food kiosk, so it might take a bit of waiting to get your ticket. But afterwards there’s a great playground for the kids to play on. My nieces had a great time!

One of the iconic staples of Golden Gate Park! You’ll need to get tickets at the adjacent cafe so keep that in mind

Great to have a carousel nearby the kids playground. Not ideal to have to buy tickets at the food/cafe kiosk. It’s a long wait just to purchase tickets since others are ordering custom food and drinks. $1 for kids and $2.50 for adults. Kids 5 and under is free. There is a price sign at the front (cafe) window.

Yes, it's old, but it's also a San Francisco classic, and the little ones love it. Just let your imagination go in circles for a few minutes and ignore all your worries. Try and find a horse that not only goes up and down but also has some hair on its tail. If you're holding your kids hand, let the hair also gently hit their back and really pretend they're going to take off soon! And just remember when you get off, that millions of kids and adults have been around and around on this joy ride. And now you're on them too!

$2 for adults (ages 12 & up) and $1 for children! It’s a solid carousel and staff are friendly. The area it’s located in is an great part of Golden Gate Park that is kid friendly.

After seeing a video of her brother on the carousel, my granddaughter has been asking for a ride too, we finally did and she did not want to get off.

Great carousel that is probably a 4-5 minute ride, $2.50 for adults, $1 for kids 6-11 and free for kids 5 and younger. Koret playground is right there which has playground equipment for kids of all ages. Bathrooms and snack hut are right there. Parking usually a challenge.

Good old timey carousel reasonably priced. Edit: New vendor, Still good prices. $2.5 for adults, still $1 for kids.
