Akub Restaurant by Fadi Kattan Brings Palestinian Food to London | Eater London

"At a pop-up at Carousel in May, Kattan staged a make-your-own-hummus starter that asked diners to crush the chickpeas themselves as a tactile exercise intended to reconnect people with the produce and traditional artisanal processes of Palestinian hummus, and to push back against adulterated variations (he mentions his horror at chocolate or Marmite hummus)." - Joel Hart

Six Houston Restaurants Will Close For a Week to Give Their Employees a Break | Eater Houston

"Part of the Agricole Hospitality group run by Morgan Weber, Ryan Pera, and Vincent Huynh, this establishment will close from September 6 through September 14 so its employees can take a paid week-long respite after a brutal year of pandemic-era service. The owners framed the temporary shutdown as an opportunity for staff to decompress, spend time with family, and focus on mental health; normal business is scheduled to resume on Wednesday, September 15. The move follows a wider pattern of restaurants briefly closing to protect workers from pandemic-related stress, abuse, and harassment." - Amy McCarthy

Love shopping here when im in the area!! Great place if you're looking for girly aesthetics, or gifts for your besties and girlfriends ☺️ I recently bought cute lace shorts, a bag charm, and a handheld mirror, two of them on sale for 40% off!! Plenty of cute clothes, accessories, knickknacks, stationary to pick from 🙂‍↕️

I stopped into Carousel as I was walking by because the colors caught my eye. What a cute store! They have all kinds of items - shoes, clothes, hair accessories, trinkets, keychains, etc. I found a bedazzled white tank top, which I feel like I manifested because I love sparkle and I went out looking for a white tank. Incredible find. I also got a blind box figure. (They have those too!) They had such cute stuff, I had to stop by a second time to be sure I looked at everything lol. Definitely stop by Carousel if you're in the area. The lady that took care of me was so nice. (I forgot her name 🫢)

decided to drive 40 minutes to this store to purchase a good bit of items. i come in at 5 PM door is open. the two workers are in the store screaming at eachother, and yell at me to tell me they are closed. extremely unprofessional, rude. and all the stuff looked like it was from temu. no reason to treat people this way.

Very very cute store~ they have things for all ages! The owners are so sweet; they answered all of my questions and gave their suggestions based on what I had in my hands. They have the cutest selections of cards, home goods, and a cute corner for clothes. I had to stop myself from spending too much 🥲 I can’t wait to go again to see their latest addition!

The cutest boutique I have seen in Ktown so far! They have a wide selection of gift options for babies and adults, along with kitchen and living items too. They have sanrio merchandise, and the CUTEST cards, of which some are from Japan! The owners were extremely nice and helpful, and the store is so beautifully designed, I was able to take photos for the gram✨ highly recommend! There are plenty of street parking around the store. Already been here twice and I was able to find parking easily!

Cool new boutique that just opened. Owners are very nice. Went inside to check it out and ended up leaving with a few things. Love their selection of cards. Items are trendy and mainly catered to women. Definitely worth checking out after getting coffee across the street.
