Cinnamon Rolls With Chili Are Iconic at Midwest Schools and Restaurants - Eater

"When Adam Schneider first moved to Yoder, Kansas, from St. Louis and began working at Carriage Crossing Restaurant in 2000, he quickly fell in love with the restaurant’s made-from-scratch cinnamon rolls. But he wasn’t prepared for what customers would do with those cinnamon rolls when beef-and-bean chili came to the menu in the fall." - Anna Archibald

For starters, I love how every time I've stopped here, the people were so friendly , helpful, and pleasant. They have quite an impressive gift shop with lots of neat gifts and gadgets to look at an buy. The best things I've seen there are all the handmade items such as all of the candles and pot holders and all the other cool things they sell. Handmade things are always the best if you're asking me. And the kids seem to love it there too because they have tons of kid friendly games, toys, gadgets and trinkets to keep the kids excited and busy looking at. From what I've seen the prices are pretty good too. Nothing too outrageously priced. Now to the main reason for all of my visits was their made from scratch daily Yoder cinnamon rolls!! If you haven't had one... why? They are AMAZING and to die for totally out of this world! And if you haven't seen one feast your eyes on my photo below. These cinnamon rolls are so enormous just 1 takes up an entire dinner plate!! And I'm not kidding they are huge! But don't take my word for it or better yet do take my word for it. Those puppies are down right top notch delicious and youre not living right if you haven't had one yet.

We just had to celebrate our favorite day of the year, Pi Day (3/14)! We were hoping for a quick nosh and still took an hour for a few appetizers and some slices of pie. But the mistaken speed of service aside, we reveled in the handmade goodness and were glad we made the time.

We came by with a group of 14 and all got exactly what we ordered, not a single hiccup. Our waitress was not stressed and happy the whole time. I have nothing but good things to say. We were all impressed with the taste of the food and the size of the cinnamon rolls! But I was most impressed with the service!

One of the recommended places to stop is the hutch area. It's definitely worth it. Pies are legit. They have family-style meals, and it's hard to go wrong. The fried chicken is great. I haven't had a bad meal here. The staff is great, the facilities are updated and clean. The prices are reasonable - even in the attached country store.

We were seated right away. Party of 2. Our food came out very quickly and was hot and fresh. Pie was very good. I feel for the price we got a lot and food was homecooked. Our server was very nice and checked on us during our meal.

My husband and I took some friends to eat here last Saturday. I was so excited to go back after several years. Our waitress was friendly but the food was a disappointment. I was expecting some fresh baked rolls. What we got was some small bread loafs that weren't fresh and wasn't very tasty. The mushroom appetizer was good. I ordered a baked potato and it was barely warm. My friend got fried chicken and it was dry. My husband got mashed potatoes and gravy and discovered a small end of a baked potato at the bottom of his mashed potatoes. The desert was good. The cinnamon roll we took home didn't seem fresh even though they were very busy and had seated probably 60 folks after we arrived. The price was decent but would rather pay more for a higher quality meal after driving 1 hr and 20 minutes to get there.

Google
Great food friendly service and fast service. Never had to ask for drinks to be filled. Always made sure we didn't need anything. The cinnamon roll was the best dessert and two of us only ate half and took half with us. Very reasonable prices.

Google
Carriage Crossing in Yoder is a gem you don't want to miss! The food is delicious, the portions are generous, and the cozy atmosphere makes you feel right at home. But the star of the show? Their cinnamon rolls—absolutely unforgettable! They're huge, perfectly soft, and topped with just the right amount of sweet glaze. Whether you're stopping by for breakfast, lunch, or dinner, make sure you save room for one (or take one to go). It's a must-try that alone makes the visit worthwhile!

Yelp
Stopped here for lunch at the beginning of vacation. Food was very good. The bread for the table reminded my wife of bread her grandma made--we used to find a bread called English Muffin Bread that was similar. There were six of us at lunch. Fried chicken was very good, on the bone and very tender. Two had the country fried steak and enjoyed it. The turkey breast and grilled cheese were also well received. Our waitress was very attentive to our needs. Chocolate peanut butter pie, apple pie ala mode, and lemon meringue were yum! But, OMG, we got two of their GIANT cinnamon rolls to go with us. Didn't try until the next morning--but fantastic (but be ready for a rush of sugar energy, lol). Oh yes, there were some veggies with dinner--mashed potatoes, corn, green beans--all were seasoned well. Definitely worth a trip back!

Yelp
The all-you-can-eat family-style meal was highly recommended, so we got that. It's individual dinner salads, bread, fried chicken, roast beef, mashed potatoes and white gravy, green beans and corn, with a slice of pie at the end. It's a lot of food, and it's all served in bowls to pass around the table. The thing is, it's $16.99 per person and everyone at the table has to get it, otherwise, you can't get it. All of the good was good, especially the fried chicken and mashed potatoes. But what really stood out was the pie. You can choose from over a dozen different flavors of pie -- everything from peach and pecan to sour cream raisin and chocolate peanut butter. I chose a slice of blackberry, because I love a double crust fruit pie. The crust was flaky and buttery, with just enough fruit filling. My table didn't need refills on anything except the fried chicken -- that seemed to go fast. The servings that they put in the serving dishes were huge and more than enough. Someone at my table was freaking out over the salad dressing that they serve at Carriage Crossing. It's called Dorothy Lynch, and apparently it has a cult following. It's not particular to this restaurant, but this restaurant serves it, so you can find it here. Honestly, it tastes like French dressing to me, but people love it and it's one of the salad dressings they offer with your salad! Carriage Crossing is in the heart of Amish country in Yoder, and some (most?) of the people who work here are Amish. It's kind of neat to see Amish people in the wild, dressed in traditional Amish clothes. So if you're into that sort of thing, you will find that here.

Yelp
Passing through as a Harvest Host stop (plenty of space for RVs in the big parking lot), dinner was the best meal we'd had in a long time; me the ham (w/mashed potatoes & bacon beans, and my wife the sirloin strip (cooked to perfection). Service was swift, the homemade warm bread w/honey butter, came quick and to finish we shared the fresh cherrie pie (be there early for the strawberry rhubarb..). The prices were super reasonable, a real bonus. While camped, the staff kindly filled our water jugs and even provided a couple bags of ice (free), from their kitchen. Hospitality at its finest!

Yelp
Probably the best cherry pie I've ever had in my life! The perfect crust and sweetness. Could have done without biting down on a couple cherry pots but still worth it!! The cinnamon roll was huge and very fresh.... And my small slice of apple pie was great! I highly recommend this restaurant and bakery!!

Yelp
My second time here and just like the first the food was great. Nothing better than a family style dinner with business associates!

Yelp
Chicken fried chicken was great, honestly. I was super disappointed that we weren't able to get breakfast since we were after 10:30 on a Saturday but that's alright. Service was good. She was sweet. Coffee was honestly super bad. Colored water, lol. I'm sure they have their best picks on the menu, chicken fried chicken might even be one.. I just wasn't super impressed. Actually a little disappointed.

I_NotNoii I.

Yelp
Two stars. Me, my mother, and my grandmother went here for breakfast. My grandmother received an undercooked pancake. She asked for a new one and they just slapped the bitten into pancake back onto the grill. Thankfully the waitress was nice enough to give her a refund on the pancake. Other than that, the food was very mid. Not bad but not good either. Maybe I'm too young to really enjoy it? I don't know. Either way I likely won't be returning.

Yelp
I love places like this. The food is fantastic, the service is great and the place looks like a quaint country store.

Yelp
Such a great suggestion from our hotel in Hutchinson. Was the small hometown not chain restaurant that I was looking for. Had the chicken and was so moist and the breading was very light.

Daniel. D. R.

Yelp
Sadly, nothing on Carriage Crossing's menu is worth ordering with the exception of the bakery items. I've ordered The Country Fried Steak with Sweet Potatoes and Fries, it was horrible, the Country Fried Steak looked and tasted like it was store bought and the sweet potatoes were rotten. The service is perfect for the most part, but the ambiance looks like a prison cell as the restaurant on the inside looks like a prison instead of an actual restaurant, it was pure trash. The only thing worth it in this restaurant is the bakery, that was it. Hate to say it but I'm not coming back there again, such a disgrace to country cooking. In other words, Stroud's Restaurant And Bar had way much better food and ambiance then this sad excuse for country cooking. I highly suggest heading to Strouds instead of Carriage Crossing, it may be in Wichita, but it's way more faithful to southern origin then this. Time to shut down Carriage Crossing for being a disgrace to country cooking.

Yelp
Food and service was great! It was a bit loud with so many people and guests. The gift shop is wonderful!!

Yelp
This was my first meal visiting Kansas for the first time. I knew I had to manage my expectations. I'm super bougie and am used to living and visiting cities with vibrant culinary scenes. I knew I had to manage my expectations but I was pleasantly surprised by the food here. Do I truly believe that everything is made from scratch? Absolutely not. However, the combination of items made for a satisfying meal that left me pretty full for the rest of the 2 hour long car ride from the airport to the small town I was visiting. The hot roast beef sandwich is a carb bomb that will satisfy the glutton living inside of you. Was the roast beef the best I've ever had? No. It was a bit dry and bland but it was sandwiched between amazing homemade bread and doused in brown gravy. Serving mashed potatoes with this is something I can't comprehend but hey it's the Midwest, so I just went with it. My bf loved his chicken fried chicken. It was perfectly cooked, seasoned and the white gravy was pretty good. We had pies and they were so-so. I don't believe the crust was homemade and while they tasted ok, there was too much. They are so rich, I couldn't get through even half of it. None of us did. The three of us could have shared a pie. Service was good, even if the servers are a bit short. Still friendly but not lingering if that makes sense. More what do you want, good, ok, bye. Was good for us though as we had to get on the road. The dining room reminds me of food halls from the 80's. Not my scene but again, I wasn't expecting much. I will say I though the place was a little dirty but we may have come after a big rush so I won't hold it against them. I subsequently noticed that a lot of restaurants that we went to on this trip kept their dining rooms in the same condition.

Yelp
As a place known for its pies, I would expect nothing but an amazing product. We recently were passing through and bought a peanut butter pie. It looked fantastic! But we couldn't see its hidden secrets until we got home to sample it..... It tasted fresh, crust was decent, no issues there. But the two best things of a peanut butter pie were dismal. The custard tasted ok, a little bland, but the main problem? It was full of lumps. Like grape-sized little dough nuggets. Yuck. On top of that, the taste of peanut butter was all but non-existent. Upon closer inspection, I think I spotted some peanut butter underneath everything. Like, maybe an 1/8" layer underneath it all. Overall, the pie tasted like barely sweet meringue. It was uninteresting, and even nasty as you encountered lumpy custard. Save your time and money, find one of the locals who set up during the fair season or just go to Spears. Kinda bums me out, because stopping by here on the way home from the fair was a tradition, but no more. Tsk.

Yelp
I came here as a recommendation. It's right off the freeway. This place is huge and very busy. The people here are so nice and customers service driven. There are real Amish people who work here and live in the area. There is a little store attached to the restaurant. We had 7 people in our party and they were able to put two tables together. We ordered a family feast. You are able to order refills of the food. You can tell they make everything fresh and portions are very generous. The fried chicken was very crunchy. I really loved the overall experience. We were visiting family and it felt like we were at a family member's house. They have a rule you can not take leftovers home. I really don't know why but that's the rule. They do let you take your dessert a piece of piece home. Everything is amazing here highly recommend.

Yelp
I've always had great service and food but today was awful. The waitress took our order and never came and checked on us to see if we needed refills which we did. Food came I asked for mustard she said ok filled our cups but never saw her again. I finally got up and asked another waitress for mustard. The food was ok and the baked potato was hard so I was very disappointed

Yelp
At about noon, my wife ordered a chicken dinner and I the smoked ham dinner; the food was hot and delicious!

Yelp
Outstanding restaurant ! My friends and I were in town for a hunting trip. We had breakfast at Carriage Crossing almost every morning. Really, really good food. I even brought half of a banana cream pie home, along with two jars of preserves from the little store in front. Will be back next year for sure.

Yelp
Very well known restaurant serving home cooked meals by the local Amish community. Lunch isn't served until 11 so if you want fried chicken you'll have to wait. So because we were too early for lunch, we just got a cinnamon roll. And it is huuuuge. And better after you pop it in the microwave for about 30 seconds.

Yelp
A must to try! Their chicken fried steak is amazing as well as all their baked bread and desserts. Come hungry! Their portion sizes are huge!

Yelp
Food was hearty, well served and hot. Service was great even with our long table of 14 people, we were treated as guests. The menu was full of country style favorites and very reasonable prices. The large open dining room was clean and bright. The simple and subtle appointments reinforced this was carriage country. The huge cinnamon rolls were the size of 8" tires! We enjoyed the meal and left room for pie. Gotta save room for the pie! The gift shoppe was well designed and had country style home goods balanced all over the area. Best place to stop between Hutchinson and Wichita! We will come back again and try breakfast.

Diane P.

Yelp
OMG, the food here is DELICIOUS! Homemade soups and breads, mouth watering desserts and friendly people. If I could give it ten stars, I would. The menu has an option for AYCE family style meals too. They also have some amazing quilts on display and for sale.

Helen A.

Yelp
Have been here several times when visiting family in Hutchinson, and it NEVER disappoints! Had a fantastic breakfast recently-the cinnamon roll was gigantic and very tasty! Service was excellent and the atmosphere was comfortable and cozy. Highly recommend.

Yelp
I ate here tonight for the first time in almost 10 years and unfortunately had went very down hill. Close to a 15 minute wait to get our waters followed by a 45 minute wait for food. The food was simply not appetizing. The roast beef sandwich was very tough and on dry sliced sandwich bread. The hamburger was over cooked and in hard, dry buns. Overall a poor experience and not worth the drive.

Heather L.

Yelp
Good quality food, great to have homemade food. Nice relaxed atmosphere, waiter was polite, and fast service, drink refills a little slower than normal. Acceptable price and good size portions.

Brian M.

Yelp
My family had a great experience at Carriage Crossing! The food was good, most of it tasted like old fashioned home cooked meals. The waiters were attentive and served our large group well. The gift shop was fun to walk through while we waited to be seated.
google avatar

Cyndi B.

Yelp
Husband and I saw this restaurant during a pie special on PBS and decided to visit for dinner tonight. We both ordered the hot roast beef sandwich and were very pleased. The gravy is a bit peppery but very delicious and nothing about this meal was out of a can. The mashed potatoes were real and whipped to perfection. The medium sliced roast beef was juicy and flavorful and the bread it was served on soft homemade bread. We could have shared since there was enough leftovers to make another full meal but we were too full to enjoy our pie there and got it to go. We also scored some of the amazing house made cinnamon rolls for breakfast tomorrow. Hey are huge and look delicious as well. Service was top notch and fast. It's a bigger than expected place so we were also seated rather quickly also. We will be back for sure!

Yelp
Visited for my birthday dinner. Hubby and I both ordered the chicken fried chicken, mashed potatoes and glazed carrots. We also shared a fried okra appetizer. The okra was a HUGE portion and was hot and crispy! Delicious! I'm not really a carrot lover but these were so tender....practically melted in the mouth....good! The mashed potatoes were creamy with just the right amount of chunks. The gravy was delicious! The chicken fried chicken was just a tad disappointing. It was kind of dry...overcooked, maybe? The gravy helped but it just wasn't the best. It could be that it just wasn't the thing to order. Took a slice of coconut cream pie home. Enjoyed with a cup of coffee and it did not disappoint! We'll be back to try other things and hopefully bring up the stars! Rose was our server and she was WONDERFUL!

Toni M.

Yelp
Love this cute country restaurant. A trip here for a good solid home cooked meal, is always a must when passing thro Yoder! Don't forget to bring some spending money for their one of a kind store too! All sorts of stuff for everyone!
google avatar

Ron M.

Yelp
We were in Kansas visiting family and we alway spend some time in Yoder. It's a Amish enclave and they have a restaurant. Their food is pretty basic but I must say it tasted pretty good. I had the fried chicken dinner my bride had the turkey cobb, that also looked pretty good and my SIL had the hot roast beef sandwich and that looked pretty good as well. It's good wholesome food so if you're near Hutchison Ks. Give them a look. Come early, because the place fills up pretty quick.
google avatar

Tammy D.

Yelp
Dined here during the pandemic and they are practicing social distancing by seating people apart in the restaurant. Masks were optional but i chose to wear one to my table. I had the chicken fried chicken with glazed carrots and a baked potato. My husband had the smoked sausage with baked beans and potato salad. We both loved our meals. Definitely recommend. The homemade bread they bring you before the meal is freshly made and served warm. It's served with cinnamon butter. Delicious. Dessert was banana cream pie with whipped cream. I can't wait to go back to this place. So glad we found it.

Yelp
Love coming here for the comfort food! Service is always pleasant and quick. But man oh man, the cinnamon rolls are to die for!!

Yelp
Classic midwest comfort food. Family style dinners are great for a crowd. Plus leave room for pie.

Yelp
No trip to Wichita, Kansas is complete for us without a stop in Yoder at the Carriage Crossing. Set in this small Amish community, the restaurant is clean and neat, with a very folksy, down home feel. The attached gift shop is reminiscent of a smaller version Cracker Barrel gift shop. The 10 of us, with no reservation (not sure if they even accept them), were seated after a very short wait. Drink and appetizer orders were taken almost as soon as we sat down. The fried okra appetizer is a huge bowl full and reminded me of the okra my mom made when I was a kid in NC. It comes with ranch on the side. Know in advance because this restaurant is in an Amish community, if you're expecting beer or other spirit drinks before or with dinner you might be disappointed; they don't serve either. The food and desserts more than make up for any minor inconvenience the lack of spirits might cause. For the most part all the food, desserts and pastries are homemade. We decided to order family style, which means the menu and price were fixed....fried chicken and roast beef with all the expected sides, including homemade bread with cinnamon butter, REAL mashed potatoes, two kinds of gravy, along with green beans and corn. Pretty sure the beans and corn were out of a can, but everything else was scratch made and absolutely delicious. Everything was served as a family size bowl or platter and seconds are available, but you won't need them. It's enough food for a small army. The chicken was well battered, moist on the inside, but still light and crispy. The roast beef was sliced to just the right thickness, juicy and slathered in rich brown gravy. The potatoes were just how I love them...smashed with peels on and so creamy. Toward the end of the meal, you're provided a pie card with the list of all the homemade pies they have available for dessert, which is included in the price of the meal. Our table had the cherry, peach with pecans, chocolate cream, coconut cream, peanut butter, and coconut meringue. There wasn't a crumb left on anyone's plate. We left well stuffed and fully satisfied. There is just nowhere else, outside your mom or grandma's kitchen, where you could get a meal like this for this price. I forgot to mention they even account for the appetites of your small ones...charging $1 per year of age. The only down side to the experience is they won't allow you to take the leftovers home. Even without ordering seconds, we had leftovers. When we asked, our waiter Brock said they aren't allowed to package leftovers in the family style meals and the excess food would be thrown out. Hopefully, as a farm community they turn this waste into food for the pigs or something; otherwise, it's just a shameful waste. Last but certainly not least, they have pies and cinnamon buns for sale as you check out, along with their homemade cinnamon butter. You can't leave Yoder without mentioning their famous, or is it infamous, cinnamon buns. They are literally the size of your head, covered in rich icing and so delicious. You will be missing a true treat and experience if you don't try them. Most won't be able to have them after such a big meal, so take one home. They are the bomb warmed up the next morning for breakfast with your hot coffee, tea or big glass of iced cold milk. If you time it right and are lucky enough to stop here in August during their Heritage Days celebration, you will also get a little peek inside Amish life We missed it this year, but the state fair was going in just down the road in Hutchison. But really you don't need anything extra. The Carriage Crossing experience stands out all on its own!!

Yelp
I would give this restaurant a very strong four! We just happened to stop in here as we were driving away from the Kansas State fair to get a bit of lunch. The service was friendly, it was efficient, and the food is really good! Especially standing out for me, because I have a huge sweet tooth, was the huge cinnamon roll that was made fresh! I guess my only downside would be that the spices in the food could be a little bit more, it was a bit bland... However, overall, I highly recommend this place to eat and it was very very good!
google avatar

Yelp
The service was exceptional and the food was good. This place is right down the road from the Kansas Law Enforcement Training Center so expect to sit near multiple tables of cops if you visit. The gift store was really nice as well.

Darin N.

Yelp
We were heading to Hutchinson, Kansas and made plans to stop at Carriage Crossing Restaurant and Bakery for dinner. I looked at the recent reviews, with some negative, but decided to return for the first time in decades. Everyone has an opinion, but we were happy we stopped. The service was top notch (Thank you Taylor B) and food was delicious. I had the vegetable beef soup and my wife had the chicken fried steak dinner. We split a piece of Dutch apple pie, and if too was perfect. As for the famous cinnamon rolls, we got some to go for enjoying later. If you are in the area of traveling through, stop by and give it a try. We will certainly be back.

Yelp
The Carriage Crossing is a great place for family style dining! They even have a $14.95 per person Family Style / all you can eat choice... great value for full service dining. Service is good, prices are reasonable for what you get. We love the Chicken Fried Steak... all dinners come with two sides... substituting for a side salad +$2. For desert, Homemade pies and cinnamon roles are excellent. If you're nearby, it's a must try... plus take time to visit their gift shop!

Anna H.

Yelp
Sign on the door warning you about chemicals in the water. Service was friendly and so was the waiter, but the food was less than impressive. Table of 4 with 3 different dishes. 2 of us ordered chicken fried chicken with a side of mashed potatoes and corn. No flavor but okay with some salt and pepper. Chicken noodle soup was filled to the brim with thick noodles with absolutely no flavor or sight of chicken, veggies nothing. Just tasted like someone boiled bouillon, water and noodles. 3rd dish was the veggie soup and even though filled with different vegetables and beef, still no flavor and the beef was tough.

Gaylien Q.

Yelp
Another great visit to Carriage Crossing. Really enjoy the food here. Entrees are a good size, prices are excellent for all that you get, service is always attentive and friendly. Will continue to frequent this restaurant. Need to checkout the gift shop, too.

Yelp
What could be more authentic midwest cooking than stopping in a town called Yoder at a restaurant called Carriage Crossing and enjoy lunch prepared and served by Mennonites? Since the parking lot was full of cars at lunch time, I assumed this was a place for some great food. I was wrong. While the food was abundant, it was bland. From my photo, you may observe two bowls of gravy at the upper left. One is beef and the other is chicken. I'm guessing the gravy originated from somewhere like this: https://www.webstaurantstore.com/38117/canned-gravy.html The roast beef was so overcooked it was dry and tasteless. I had relatives that came from the midwest (Nebraska I think). Their trademark cuisine was overcooked roast beef. Maybe that just regional cuisine. Canned vegetables? Okay, but not for me. It's probably a sign of opulence and elitism that I refuse to eat canned vegetables. It's an amazing country we life in to expect freshly prepared string beans, corn, broccoli and the lot. Maybe there is something sinful about trucking fresh produce around the country to keep people like me happy. Maybe it's a Mennonite thing. (Their favored transportation is a single horse carriage with electric lights.) Our meal came with a choice of pie. Sofie choose lemon meringue. She didn't like it and didn't eat it. "Your's is better.", she said. I tasted her pie. No lemon zest and not fresh lemon juice. Yep. Mine is better. I had pecan pie. Too sweet and not a lot of flavor. If you are okay with eating food from cans, this is the place for you. If this is authentic midwest cooking, then a reformation is desperately needed.

Caroline D.

Yelp
I wouldn't feed my dog this food. Aside from BLAND - everything is canned or pre made. AND I'm certain my turkey wasn't cooked all the way. Mashed potatoes tasted like boxed. Gravy had no taste. Salad was mass produced iceberg mix - no taste. I was sick the rest of the day. AND - They have no clue how to check people out - use your BRAIN- bad process. Would NOT recommend.

Aby ..

Yelp
Came here for dinner after a day trip here with the in laws (we are visiting from california). Large crowd on a Friday evening and waiting area around the "gift shop"' was packed. Food was mediocre, as I just had a grilled chicken salad. Portion was smaller than I expected. Apple pie taste fine. Nothing to write home about.

Yelp
I recently ate here this past weekend, food was pretty good but did take awhile to get our food & seemed unusually loud in the restaurant employees were very nice, overall i would recommend this place. I have been here multiple times & have always liked the food especially the enormous cinnamon rolls!

Yelp
Way overrated local eatery! Sorry! 5 star service, 3 star food, average to POOR homemade pies. We cook at home and food was far from home cooked goodness for $15. each family meal. We tried strawberry-rubarb, pecan, snicker cream cheese and coconut pies...all looked outstanding but none were that great. Pepsi products. Clean restrooms and neat country store.

Yelp
Oh my goodness gracious so good! Loved my chicken fried steak, could cut it with a fork, with Garvey and mash. Hubby got a juicy steak cooked perfect with all the fix'ens ! This a a definite returnable place we will come to on our travels this way. Oh and don't forget the great pies! We had the peanut butter pie and the pies were selling out as fast as we ordered it. Food came out fast a hot! Waitress never let our drinks run dry! If I could give more then 5 stars I would!

Yelp
I've been here three times and all have been great experiences. Don't freak out if there is a wait - by the time you look aground the gift shop, your table will be ready. Wait staff are very good. Corn nuggets and fried mushrooms are delicious. Everything on the menu is like home cooking. The portions are large- try to save room for their pies or humongous cinnamon rolls.

Yelp
Great food (HUGE cinnamon rolls), great service. Breakfast, lunch or dinner! If ya leave here hungry, it's sure not their fault!

Yelp
Delicious! Would recommend if you are in the area this stop is a must. Service was excellent, good variety of food, fast and hot. They also have a little gift shop that has some great items. Restaurant is clean and tidy. We had the country fried steak but we ate them too fast to get a pic!

Yelp
Had a very tasty, filling breakfast. My friend had the bacon with biscuits and gravy and loved them. My husband and I split the Western omelet and a cinnamon roll. Both were tasty and we couldn't eat them all. Great service as well!
