So first of all, my eye lashes and eyebrows are white - like full on translucent. I’ve been tediously and religiously applying mascara and eyebrows DAILY since I was in middle school. I did not want to be a slave to the routine anymore! BUT - I was terrified of having something go terribly wrong, like my little white hairs just burning off and falling out, or getting eye damage - real catastrophic outcomes just swirling around my head. Ahead of my best friend’s wedding in Costa Rica last summer I finally pulled the trigger and came to see Jenny. I was anticipating my face melting off in the heat and for photos, and expressed my concerns. She KILLED IT. The color match for my eyebrows was unreal. She did a lift and tint on my eyelashes which was a game changer. I sit here typing this as a changed woman. She’s also just an absolute lovely person. I reserve this treat for myself for pre-vacation prep, especially if I’m going somewhere hot where I’ll be doing a lot of pool action, but I would not trust anyone else at this point. I can’t recommend CL enough, such pleasant experiences with the whole staff. They also have really nice skin care products in house. Run, don’t walk!

Rachel gave me the best facial I have ever had. She made me feel so seen, taking a genuine interest in my skin and taking what I believe to be a truly customized approach. Sometimes I feel as though a salon say that it is customized when really it is formulaic, but Rachel‘s approach matched exactly my desired outcome and I left with glass skin. Her massage technique is unparalleled, and I left feeling relaxed and refreshed. I texted my friend afterwards and said that I never want another aesthetician to touch my face again because of how much I love the results from Rachel‘s facial. Thank you so much!

It was my first time at the Elizabeth street location, very cozy and conveniently located. I had the best lift and sculpt facial with Rachel yesterday. I recommend seeing her for this facial 10/10!

I've been coming to Carrie Lindsey Beauty for several months now, and have consistently had WONDERFUL experiences. Jenny always shapes my eyebrows with thoughtful precision and somehow finds the absolute perfect balance between making them look clean but also natural. I recently got a facial from Catherine combined with derma-planing treatment from Jenny in preparation for my wedding and I was totally blown away by how gorgeous my skin looked afterwards. I was impressed with everything I learned throughout the process as they took the time to explain each step. I left with a whole new skincare routine, some new products, a clear / glowing face and a renewed sense of confidence! Multiple people approached me at my wedding to compliment how healthy and good my skin looked :)

Amazing Facial. It was very relaxing and Lizzie gave great updates and recommendations the whole time. I left looking like a glazed donut-it was perfect!!

I loved my facial! It lifted the muscles of the forehead so i felt like my eyes were much more open. Also Carrier’s buccal massage released a lot of tension in my jaw for the surgery i had in past, never felt so good before - my jaw stopped to do weird sound and is not getting blocked anymore. Also i got some creams which i am totally in love with. Definitely will go again when back to NYC

I came for eyebrow shaping and left very disappointed. First, and most importantly, the esthetician did not sanitize her hands before my service. I watched her finish up another client and check her phone before turning to me and at no point did she clean her hands. I shouldn't have to address that. The eyebrow service itself was very poor. She was chatty and friendly but spent less than 5 minutes on my brows. There was absolutely no shaping. I had to point out multiple stray and long hairs when she was ready to end the $45 service. I have had much better experiences for half the price. I left looking exactly the same. This was a complete waste of money and time.

I had the best lash lift and eyebrow shaping. I will continue to go to Jenny indefinitely! So happy. Even my teenage daughter said I look pretty ! :)

I've only been once.. and the aesthetician who did my brow and lash tint was super sweet. The space is very clean and setup in a very friendly way. I love that they have jewelry from artists around the world displayed and on sale in their shop. I appreciate that. This was my first time there and first time getting my brows and lashes done so I was nervous.. I know ppl do this all the time but I don't, honestly hadn't had my brows even waxed since senior prom and I'm well past that stage haha! So I was a lil nervous for everything to go well. She was a gem tho. Super sweet and I think her name was Jenny.. I was just planning to come back and see her again today or this week if I could lol. Which prompted this review. Hope this helps!

Carrie Lindsey is my absolute favorite, go-to facial in NYC. I leave this place feeling spiritually, physically and emotionally different. I see Rachel for a 60 min. custom facial and she not only heals my skin but also heals my heart! Her calm demeanor and gentle touch is truly everything. Most likely a given, but I adore the products they use here and have since purchased what Rachel uses on my face. I will continue coming back here and recommending to ALL my people! I'll start this review by saying -- there are estheticians at Carrie Lindsey who are incredible with the services they offer! Unfortunately, I had a nightmare experience with Carrie during a facial which this review is based on. During my facial, Carrie was very distracted and mentioned that she had a text that she was waiting for once we entered the room. During the downtime, instead of the normal massage (which I've received with other estheticians) -- she went to text on her phone WHILE she was IN the room. And then without washing her hands, went back to touching my face. We all know that phones are some of the dirtiest things to touch and to touch my face after that was seriously unprofessional!

Lovely little beauty gem. The facials by Lara are worth every Penny and I'm mad at myself for not booking her in advance as she is (rightfully) booked for weeks.

Highly recommend! I'm a bit picky when it comes to body workers and aestheticians and was blown away by the prenatal massage AND facial I just got. I am 6 months pregnant so require a bit of extra expertise and all clean products... both of which I received today. Giselle did my massage and her 20 yrs of experience really show. She understands body alignment, functional movement and how the body cHanges during pregnancy. The massage was both effective (she unlocked my left SI joint!) and relaxing which is rare. Brenna did my facial and I've never had an hour facial that felt more thorough. We steamed, extracted, exfoliated, masked, massaged and guasha-ed. She gave me tips for my skin without pushing any specific products (rare) and closed out tHe session with some cold stones rolling on my face which I have never had before but was awesome. My skin feels hydrated and glowing. Prices are reasonable given the level of service. Very happy to be walking distance from this spot

My all-time favorite brow expert - guru - goddess - savant - is Lara Kaiser. Lara was at Shen Beauty so her name might sound familiar. Lara creates the perfect brow. A beautiful natural brow that makes you feel instantly beautiful. With masks hiding our smiles, your brows need Lara stat! I travel from UWS to Fort Greene to see Lara .... and would go farther if she ever moves. Her new spot, Carrie Lindsey Beauty, is gorgeous and centrally-located in Fort Greene. I'm not related to Lara. She simply IS the best brow expert I know.

I didn't purchase anything from this establishment but i did experience it. I met the owner and she is amazing. She offers a line of a few different luxurious lines for facial and body products. She also offers eye brow tinting and facials. She complimented me on my eyebrows and proceeded to fill them in really nicely. Myself and another client who came in were offered wine and it was just a beautiful experience. I will definitely be back to try some products or possibly get a facial as i am currently in the process of removing some blemishing that I have allowed to settle.

I've never had a facial before and Lizzie made the experience comfortable and relaxing for me. My face has been glowing. Definitely recommend! Everyone was extremely pleasant and the space is lovely and warm.

I really enjoyed meeting Carrie and her store is lovely. I had my eyebrows shaped by her and I wasn't thrilled but I am increasingly unhappy with them as I try to work with them every morning. I have very sparsely eyebrows and they are not easiest to shape but I would never go back to her again. She does seem like an absolutely lovely person

Carrie is a dream. She's really really good with skin care. I always leave glowing. But she's also so lovely to be the company of. She takes my skin through an amazing routine (including microcurrent), and matches me up to great skincare products. One time Carrie wasn't available and I was having a breakout so I saw another aesthetician who was awesome too. The team at CLB feels super solid. The studio is gorgeous and cool and the price point is super fair. I never feel rushed or put out and the vibe is super mellow and chill. I leave looking great and feeling great cause the vibe is so good. Thanks Carrie your a total gem, keep on keeping on!

Just had a facial with Carrie this past Sunday. It was phenomenal! Not only does she create an incredibly relaxing atmosphere but she has the best of both worlds - the gentlest touch when it comes to extractions and then lovely strong hands when it comes to the massage part! My skin both looks and feels fantastic. :) I also had my brows done. Carrie created a lovely natural shape and the process was painless! I don't think I've ever had anyone do them so gently and swiftly! She also gave me a tint that looks fantastic: subtle and flattering. The space is serene and cosy.. I felt supremely relaxed at the end of it all. For all that she offers, Carrie Lindsey Beauty is incredible value. I will definitely be back!

Look no further this is your brooklyn beauty spot!!! The facials are amazing super relaxing and spa like, Carrie is a skin goddess. I also get my brows done here and they are awesome. Their shop has great brand and they are never pushy with product and are super honest. Been going here for years and will continue to :)

Disappointed by my experience here. When I made the appointment, I made sure to clearly outline all my allergies to fragrance to make sure that I could be accommodated. When I arrived for my facial, it turns out there were very few products I could actually use, so I was unable to get the treatment I was seeking. Very disappointed to have shown up after being clear in advance that they didn't take the time to actually check and just assure me that I would be fine.

I highly recommend this business. They keep this place clean, warm, and inviting. I was treated with respect and kindness by the staff. I was especially anxious about my first wax and Heather went above and beyond to assuage my fears and make me comfortable. I've had waxes from both Heather and Carrie and both women are excellent at what they do. I book my appointments online on MindBody and I've never felt rushed. I've gone on the weekends only and it doesn't seem like they overbook clients. They do sell products in the front of the spa, but I've never had one pushed on me and I've never been pressured to buy a service I didn't want. I can't say enough good things about them. I'll definitely keep coming back!

I hesitate to call it a service, when truly her facials and brow tinting transform you into a better you. The environment is welcoming and she perfectly curated products, gifts, candles, and jewelry that continue the pampering. Carrie and team walk the walk; healthy glows and warm hearts abound. As an advocate for wellness and nutrition, I so appreciate their dedication to beauty that is more than skin deep. Mastery. Delightful.

Carrie is gem. I've been popping into this store since it opened, and although I haven't had any treatments I've bought products. THE PRODUCTS ARE AMAZING. Carrie carefully selects lines that are remarkably effective, clean, and function like All Stars. Her deep experience of skin care and skin health is evidenced via her gorgeous stocklist. Based on my concerns, she recommended a brilliant brightening mask that also doubles as a spot treatment for the occasional blemish; a lovely propolis serum moisturizer that sorts out my combination skin issues upon application; and several lipsticks and a blush that I can't live without. Besides being a master esthetician with a seriously devout following, Carrie is a color whisperer: she has an innate ability to suggest colors that compliment one's skin tone and vibe and she is always right. ALWAYS. It's basically eerie but don't question it. Just go. And let the magic happen. I should mention that the shop has a gorgeous and tightly edited selection of vintage jewelry as well as a rotating curation of handmade ceramics and handicrafts--like stunning artisan textiles made into modern-shaped totes, accent pillows, woven and knit throws and such. This is the place you wanna go when the need to treat yo self prevails. Or when you need a gift or two for someone you love. Finally, the shop itself is beautiful and serene; the shop team knowledgable, fun and kind; and the experience is one you need to give to yourself.

I dropped in here while on vacation in NYC to have my chin waxed. They did a great job and recommended some Epicuren products that helped with pigmentation on my chin. I also like the Fort Greene neighborhood that this business is in.

I've had the excellent fortune to have been part of Carrie's following through several establishments. She a master aesthetician and a bright and delightful person with whom to spend an hour. She's given me brilliant skin care suggestions for my lazy teen with mild acne (Simple Wipes!). She correctly diagnosed a basal cell carcinoma on my chest that I wouldn't have realized was an issue (no big deal, dermatologist fixed it with a cream). I'm so glad she's the proprietress of her own place finally!

This was my first time here. Lizzie did a wonderful job shaping my eyebrows. She only tweezed and trimmed because I am very sensitive to waxing. I highly recommend her. The location is also great and there are a lot of fun spots to check out before and/or after your appointment. I shall return!

I spent almost the entire hour of my facial with Heather thinking about all the ways I wanted to compliment her on Yelp. I had not had a facial in over a year, and was somewhat underwhelmed by my last facial from a different spa. This very cute spa and conveniently located in Fort Greene first came to my attention when Emily Weiss from Into The Gloss/Glossier fame posted about it. I checked the prices (which are definitely not unreasonable based on the quality of the service and products and overall enjoyable experience) and decided to make an appointment. I was not disappointed and I am marveling at my skin a week later. I am trying to set up a regimen before my wedding in 10 months and Heather suggested coming back around every 8-10 weeks (which I thought was a realistic amount, not a sales tactic). I would come back every week, it was that nice and relaxing.

LOVE this place. Comfortable non-spa-y vibe, incredible products and facials. I've seen Carrie and Heather and they're both EXCELLENT. My #1 go-to for facials (and waxing)!!!!

Just had my eyebrows done. I've never had my eyebrows done before as I have no brows. Carrie found me some brows and now I look so pretty. Lovely people too!

Mandy has done my eyebrows three times with impeccable precision and patience. She is very talented, cares about her work, and sincerely cares about the person sitting on her stool. Already my eyebrows have shifted into a more full and even shape. After many years of people saying they can fix this or that or grow in this or that, she finally did it.

I had my first facial with Carrie last week, it was possibly the best facial I have ever had - the space is gorgeous, so cute and stylish and Carrie is AMAZING. She completely understood my skins needs and explained everything to me, her touch is incredible, I had many extractions and barely felt them. My skin has never looked better!! She also did my brows, it was the perfect amount and shape and she knew exactly what she was talking about. I find it so hard to find great aestheticians in New York (particularly at a reasonable price - which she is), and I completely trust Carrie and won't be going to anyone else from now on!!

Oh my goodness I can't say enough about the lovely ladies here. I've just moved to the city and new to the area so naturally a bit apprehensive about finding a new salon for my waxing but I had nothing to worry about! Carrie and I chatted like old friends, and is extremely thorough and professional. Salon had a cute boutique feel, very clean and welcoming. Looking forward to coming back again soon!

I can't believe she's here. I've been trekking over to Carroll Gardens for eyebrows and facials with Carrie for a few years now. I love our neighborhood - coffee shops, restaurants, etc., but it still lacks in good beauty treatments. Again, I love Butterfly nails, but I've been on several receiving ends of bad brow sessions. Having an expert in face and eyes in the neighborhood is really a game changer. She's not only professional and kind, she knows her stuff. I don't like to post reviews, and I know she didn't move for me...but I definitely feel likes it's Christmas with Carrie in Fort Greene!

This tiny place is tucked on a side street in a busy part of Fort Greene. The first time I made an appointment here, I walked right by and had to back track! That aside, I'm very glad I did. This place is so warm and welcoming, the staff is friendly and attentive and the services are great. Carrie is very professional and obviously runs a very good business. The first time I was there, it was warm outside and the front sliding doors were wide open to let in the early fall breeze and sunshine. I loved that! The second time, it was cooler, so the doors were closed and inside was super cozy. Someone came in with a bottle of wine to share with everyone and we all sat around chatting. The prices are higher than some other local spas but I felt it was well worth it for the atmosphere, cleanliness and overall great service. I will definitely be back!

I don't trust anyone to touch my brows, except Carrie! It's a pretty big deal to let someone mess with your face and she does a beautiful job. They always look so much fuller after I leave and I can do away with makeup for a bit. I get a tint and tweeze and it last a solid 6 weeks. Highly recommended.

I met Carrie at Shen last year when my husband bought me a facial as a birthday gift. I've had facials before but Carrie actually took the time to do the extractions that I needed and catered the products and treatments for my skin which can be very sensitive at times. I was so happy to have found her and also to discover that she's now opened her own place! Carrie has such positive energy. From the moment you step into her space until the end of your treatment you're treated like gold and you walk away feeling lighter and more beautiful. This place just has so much good energy and it's definitely worth coming to for that alone (but don't because her facials are out of this world!). Cosy zhen space and tons of attention. Can't recommend this place more.

I received an absolutely phenomenal facial from Carrie today. My face feels fantastic, my skin is smooth and hydrated and I couldn't be more relaxed. The studio is beautiful and relaxing, the products Carrie uses are all organic and it was a truly one-of-a-kind experience! What a terrific little gem of a salon. It is hip and stylish while being warm and welcoming. Carrie Lindsey's friendly Midwestern personality fills the space. She is an expert at brows - and awesome at facials. Today with a simple eyelash tint and eyebrow shaping I was transformed and ready for my night out. Last time I had a the facial and my skin was smooth and hydrated. Carrie is a perfectionist and really wants to make her customers happy. Her assistant Mandy is so welcoming, I felt right at home.

After 11 years of hopping around from spa to spa in NYC I am so happy I've finally found my go-to spot for facials and brows. Yay! Carrie is such a ray of sunshine and so ridiculously good at what she does. I have never been super happy with my brows and with Carrie's magic touch they now have a real shape, and look richer and fuller thanks to the natural tint she applied. And that was just the beginning - after brows I had a 60 minute facial, which was basically 60 minutes of heaven. I love that Carrie only uses gentle organic and natural products, but she's also incredibly thorough with extractions and includes microcurrent treatment with her facials. As someone who is serious about skincare, I really appreciated the time, attention, and care that Carrie put into making sure my skin looked great. Can't wait to go back for my next treatment!

This is the absolute cutest and most welcoming spa I have been to in New York City. It is difficult to find a place in the city that is welcoming and makes you feel comfortable, but Carrie masters this! It is as though she is inviting you into her home the way she has the space decorated accompanied by her calming personality. Now to the real greatness of this place! My brows have NEVER looked better. Carrie's attention to detail and ability to always create such a perfect shape is something so difficult to find! Carrie is a true expert at her craft, and gives me so much confidence when I leave knowing my brows and face look amazing! Can not recommend her enough!

I usually don't write reviews unless I'm blown away by my experience, and to even say that would honestly be an understatement. Carrie and Mandy are phenomenal!!! I received three services: Brazilian Bikini wax, eyebrow shaping, and lip wax, all of which left me feeling pretty again and super clean. It was my first time getting a bikini wax so I was a little nervous and unsure of how my sensitive skin would react and how comfortable I would be with the process and pain level, but Carrie explained everything to me before it happened and also while she was performing the service. She talked to me while she was waxing and chatted as if we had been friends for a long time, which of course made the process that much easier. The pain, by the way, is nearly nonexistent, purely because she really knows what she is doing; it's a science for sure! What a terrific and skilled woman. Mandy is just as lovely. She is also super skilled and knowledgable when it came to my eyebrows and lip, not to mention she calmed my nerves about my bikini wax before Carrie saw me. Mandy explained my eyebrow shapes to me, and was very relatable when it came to my concerns with shaping and filling them in myself at home, and suggested products that I could use to achieve the same look she gave me. In no way did she try to push any products on me and make me feel obligated to buy them (even though I will most likely be back later to pick them up). I wish I could give more stars, but I will be recommending everyone I know to them. Thank you Mandy and Carrie for being such awesome, warm, welcoming, and talented women.

Pretty much perfect. The brow tinting is really effective, and I recently had my first wax and Heather was so professional and relaxing (which can be hard to do in those circumstances..). The pricing is pretty standard, too. I feel like I would trust these ladies with any cosmetic advice or service.

Heather is very professional and always provides the best service possible. She was my esthetician in Seattle she did all my body waxing and facials. I am lucky I had a trip scheduled to NYC so I could finally see her again she is worth the travel.

I went for a trial a month ago for brow tint and shape-up and was really pleased with the overall look. My natural brow was cleaned up, not hacked away. However, today, I left beyond angry and in tears that my natural full brows were tweezed to a thin, highly manicured 90's brow. I came to this salon expecting a clean up, not the butchering of my face two days before my wedding reception. I emailed my frustration (because quite frankly I was in shock as Carrie showed me my "new look") that I just paid and ran the fuck out of there.

Carrie is THE BEST. I am extremely particular and quite picky when it comes to my brows (read: I barely trust anyone), and I am so glad I found Carrie!! Carrie is an expert brow shaper (I've seen many different sets of brows she's tweezed or waxed, and the shape always complements the individual person's face). And she's great at tinting brows and lashes too! Plus she's warm and inviting and super funny, so appointments with her are a blast! Added bonus: it's a pleasure to be able to have such a high-end service right Ft Greene Brooklyn! I've recommended her to everyone I know.
