🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Carroll Gardens Dental Associates is a gem in Brooklyn. The office is peaceful and quiet, with a warm and welcoming atmosphere that makes every visit easy. Appointments always start on time. I go twice yearly for efficient cleanings, and Dr. Rosen is incredibly clear, kind, and professional in his care. Chris is attentive and friendly, and the receptionists are always smiling and helpful, making you feel right at home. I am so grateful to have found this dental office in the heart of Carroll Gardens. I highly recommend it!

Google
I was assigned this dental office through my insurance. I was sad to leave my dentist I've been seeing for decades, but it was just getting too expensive. The office is recently renovated and looks nice. The receptionist was polite and efficient. I waited a bit, but not too long. I saw Dr. Cook to get my teeth cleaned. She was... fine. The cleaning felt very rushed and perfunctory and her bedside manner was brusque. She seemed annoyed that I was asking her questions and rushed in general. I was glad to have the cleaning covered by insurance, but if I can afford to go back to my previous dentist in the future I will. The cleaning was so basic I'm worried that it wasn't thorough enough and she might have missed something.

Google
I had a great first visit! The staff was incredibly welcoming, and the dentist made me feel comfortable and at ease throughout the appointment. Everything was explained clearly, and the care I received was excellent. Looking forward to coming back.

Google
Excellent first time experience. Everyone did a great job patiently explaining my options to me, and helping me make the right choices. After I asked Dr Khaloo some questions about needles, he instinctively knew to obscure that part of the procedure to the point that I legitimately didn't know he had put the needle in already. I have a needle phobia, and in 41 years of life, no medical professional has EVER made me distracted from the needle, much less not even realizing when it was happening. It was excellent. For this he deserves 10 stars.

I don’t think anyone loves going to the dentist. Certainly I get worried each time. I went here many many years ago and the old dentist and old practice was OK. Just OK. This is a brand new practice with new staff new equipment and I went yesterday and can honestly say they did an amazing job. The woman upfront is just one of those old school sweethearts who really cares about each patient and helps in any way. The doctor was truly amazing. I can highly recommend Dr. Khaloo. He was intelligent and explained everything very thoroughly. The procedure went well and the technology was definitely brand new and my last Dentist didn’t have any of that for sure. Everyone can have a different experience I am aware, but I am sure these guys do a great job and can recommend them highly!

Google
I am a long-time patient of this practice. I have referred family members and friends to it as well. The front desk staff and tech staff are always helpful. However, during my last visit, a dentist I’d never had before worked with me. I was disappointed. The good news, after I posted my review, the manager wrote to me to apologize for the service and the dentist emailed an apology. I appreciate a place that is responsive and accountable. Thank you.

Google
When I take my 97 year old mother to Carroll Gardens Dental everyone is so accommodating. The front desk Lady Assistant is wonderful. The dentist is very professional. I feel confident that my mom is getting quality care.

Google
As a first time patient, I was very pleasantly surprised to see a fully renovated office with top-of-the-line equipment. The front desk staff were very warm and accommodating. All the other professionals who engaged with me were kind and patient and wanted to make sure I was very comfortable. I loved my Dentist! He made some great recommendations and took the time to explain rather complex dental issues so that I really understood what his recommendations were. Very happy!!

Yelp
If you value your time, your money and want a reasonable resolution to your dental needs then a huge piece of advice STAY AWAY FROM THIS OFFICE. The front desk ladies are vey nice but that is the only plus. They convey wrong information about approval of claims and then you end up with out of pocket expenses which you only learn more times than not once you are at the dentist chair. The Dentist I've seen there have has the worse bedside manner! If you are ok with being given wrong information/ lied to and go through disheartening outcomes in your time of need then by all means go ahead see them. Good luck!

Yelp
UPDATE - Oct. 2024 -- have been having lymph node swellings, ear infections, sore throat, facial pain and all sorts of ENT issues, etc over the past 4 years in the very area where I got a root canal. After investigating it with many doctors, it has resulted in my gaining facts that it is the horrifically bad root canal was done at this office, and which the dentist did not fix after i called several times to complain. I do not know the dentist's name but he was a [seemingly] 40-something year-old guy, and all he did was give me the number of a dentist friend on Wall Street for me to go to. That's crazy. How can a dentist's office keep going year after year when it gets all these bad reviews?? They can't all be lies, if the clients are all dissatisfied and the dentists keep changing every 6 months, then something is wrong!

Lawrence And Helen F.

Yelp
Great staff and the dental care I received was excellent. I was having issues with my tooth and they went above and beyond to find out what the problem was. When I called to let them know I was in pain they made a same day appointment to address the problem and had me in to see the doctor immediately.

Yelp
After calling to try to make an appointment I can't speak for the dentist but they definitely need new staff. I called to make an appointment as a new patient and the receptionist (who I won't name) automatically told me they didn't have any appointments until August. I told her that's fine I would take it and she rudely told me to hold for a minute then proceeded to leave me on hold for over 5 minutes. I hung up, called back thinking maybe she just forgot and someone very clearly picked up the phone then immediately hung it up. I wasn't sure what was going on and called back 5 min later where a different woman answered sounding equally annoyed; I again explained I just wanted to make an appointment as a new patient she took my info then again proceeded to put me on hold which again, understandable but 10 min later still on hold I just hung up. I've never had such a problem attempting to make a simple appointment with such blatantly rude staff. I'm from NYC so I get dealing with people all day is frustrating but there's a difference between being frustrated and just being an a**hole.

Yelp
Office staff is very unorganized and rude. Takes forever to get an appointment. They are very unaccomomdating. Changed my appointment to a time they aren't open. I show up to the time they texted for me, no one there. Secretary never apologized for something she messed up on.

Yelp
I came to this dental office because they accepted my insurance. Its also local to me, and only about a 10 min bike ride. I honestly was concerned about the reviews. Reading them, you would think the doctor just punches people in the mouth and sends them home. That was not my experience. There was a wait when I went there, but that didn't bother me at all. I have yet to go to a dentist office in my entire life where I have walked in an seen the dentist at my appointment time. IT. HAS. NEVER. HAPPENED. Folks complaining about that aren't being honest at all. Not saying its ok, but it pretty much happens at every office. My appointment was at 930a, I got called for X-Rays at 1010a. You know what I did in the waiting time, pulled out my phone and scrolled on IG, and watched Netflix. There was some issue with the X-Ray machine, and the dental assistant did have some problems getting my x-rays; however she explained to me the problem, and they were able to get it fixed. I wish I could remember the name of the dentist who cleaned my teeth because she was AMAZING. A beautiful black woman with glasses, was amazingly gentle with my teeth and cleaning. We shared a few laughs and talked about our backgrounds. One of the dental assistants even came in to put Vaseline on my lips prior to the cleaning, which helps to keep my lips moisturized while my mouth was open. After she finished, the main dentist came in to check her work and ask if I had any issues or questions, and that was it. I rode a bike home and was very happy. I will be back.

Daniel R.

Yelp
What is the point of making a appointment if your just going to let other people walk in from the street to be seen before them? Each visit has been worse and worse over the years with this location and I have had enough to to the point I'm committed now to making sure this is my final visit.

Yelp
I've been a patient at Carroll Gardens for years and they really are the best. They completely transformed my smile into a celebrity smile. They offer the newest, most updated technology and I always feel at home when I walk in.

Yelp
Dr.Rosem is a very excellent and responsive Dentist and puts his patients best interest first! I would recommend to anyone in the area looking for A Great Dentist.

blerina p.

Yelp
0 stars if I can give it to them the doctors assistant Eddie and the finance lady Nelly have serious attitude issues like if you don't want to do your job then don't be there. I never even saw the dentist he never came to speak to me even tho he would supposed to have been my oral surgeon not a assistant. Nelly told me that my procedure would cost estimate 10 thousand and told me I wouldn't be able to afford it

Noemi F.

Yelp
Fun fact: I absolutely hate dentists! However, Dr. Joseph Khaloo made the whole experience very enjoyable. He's an absolute sweetheart and made me feel super comfortable. He was also super gentle with my teeth and took his time. If you're looking for a dentist I would highly recommend this one!

Jewels M.

Yelp
Place is a scam! I was charged $300 for antibiotics that I didn't need. The doctor runs this place like a butcher shop. Stay away from this place and find a real dentist.

Yelp
I noticed that it is very difficult to get an appointment because the rarely answer the phones and that the dentist change frequently. I never had to same dentist twice for the few times I have visited (except if I needed a follow appointment then they schedule you with the same dentist). I have had 2 particularly disheartening experiences which made me decide to not go back. Only reason I am giving it a star is because a few of the dentist had pleasant attitudes. 1st bad experience: My child and I went for our 6th month check up, we had x-rays taken and "cleanings" done. For context, we both have braces. The female dentist (name unknown) barely paid any attention to the x-rays or our teeth at all. For my child, she barely cleaned her teeth because at the orthodontist appointment 2 days later he stated that my child needed a dental cleaning. For me she told me I had a cavity that needed to be filled and she gave me no further instruction. I was very shocked at my follow up appointment when she told my she could not do the filling because of my braces needed to be removed. As previously stated, I had braces during my examination, when I reminder her of the fact and asked her why she had not given me those instructions before she looked at me very confused and actually stated that she did not know I had braces to spite them showing up very clearly in my x-rays. Immediate facepalm. 2nd bad experience: this time it was with a male dentist (name unknown). The dentist recommended that my child get sealants and fluoride varnish to prevent cavities. I declined the fluoride treatments because I had gotten it 6 months prior and I paid an extra $75 out of pocket but, when I doubled check with my insurance they said fluoride treatments were covered but not fluoride varnish. The dentist became visibly agitated and in a very condescending tone said it was her teeth and walked out of the room. I went to the receptionist for her to double check if my insurance covered the sealants. She placed a call (did not appear to be actually speaking with anyone) and assured my that insurance did not cover that service, so I just paid the $85 out of pocket once again. Afterwards, just in case I doubled checked with the insurance myself and they explained that my child was in fact covered for sealants until the age of 15. I called to have my money refunded and was given the run around for weeks. The receptionist said that the only person that could issue a refund was the manager and refused to provide me with the contact information for said manager. Apparently the manager is responsible for multiple locations and would get back to me when she could. I wound up calling my credit card company for a refund after not being able to get in contact with anyone via telephone from the office. Here we are more than 6 months later and no one has ever contacted me about my refund at all. I am writing this review because I switched dentist and was informed by my child's new dentist that the previous dentist did not put sealants on all of her back teeth like he said he had. Which reminded me of my extremely frustrating experience and prompted this review. I do not recommend this place, that are very dishonest. Double check your insurance coverage before paying any cost out of pocket.

Yelp
I started coming here as it was "in network"...my insurance changes in 6 weeks and I hope they accept it because I've been very happy with my experience here!

Dara W.

Yelp
My first time coming here a couple years ago wasn't too bad, however my recent experience left me unsatisfied. I'm not sure the person I saw was an actual dentist or a dental hygienist. She was extremely rough, aggressive and messy with the dental cleaning. She didn't seem to know what she was doing or maybe didn't care. I overheard her tell another patient that he needed antibiotics to "tighten" his gums and when she saw me she told me the same thing which I thought was bizarre because my gums are healthy. It seems this was some kind of scam trying to upsell unnecessary procedures for extra profit. I don't even know how my teeth are doing because xrays were never discussed and I don't think I would trust the judgment of this person anyway. I would not recommend NYC Dental if you want quality dental care. Going here was a waste of time for me and I will be looking for a new dentist.

Mr. M.

Yelp
I was truly excited about coming here. I made an appointment for 2:30pm and arrived a little early. I waited and waited, and understood that sometimes you have to wait to see a dentist. 4:30pm arrives and I had not even had xrays taken. There were countless of other people waiting too. The waiting room was full of people waiting to see the dentist. Unfortunately, I cannot come back after this experience. Extremely disappointed.

Jay G.

Yelp
Let me start off by saying if I can rate Dr Scott Rothenberg a negative zero I would do so immediately. This ENTIRE business is a sham and should be shut completely down. They are intentionally robbing patients and manipulating them into paying out of pocket for procedures. They will tell you they don't take your insurance and then begin to lure you into paying for any dental work/procedure. Not hundreds of dollars, THOUSANDS! I for one got scammed into paying for a procedure that I in turn found out from another dentist that I did not have to do. Please be aware of this cesspool of a 'business' and STAY AWAY!!

Max E.

Yelp
I've gone here for some five years and the service, while they can be slow to see you, is quality. Friendly staff that will talk you through options. All my procedures and cleanings have gone off without a hitch here. Dr K in particular has been great

Felicia B.

Yelp
Truly, the worst dental experience I have ever had. I am currently trying to figure out how to report Dr. Joseph Khaloo for malpractice. I went in for a bi-annual cleaning and check up. There was no dental hygienist to clean my teeth. Dr. Khaloo instead came into the room, and proceeded to turn a mental water floss pik to the highest setting and attack my gums. I pulled away and told him it hurt too much and he said that it's because my gums had receeded, my orthodontist had done everything wrong (he only knew I'd had braces before because of a permanent retainer on my teeth) and told me that I needed Invisalign or a gum/skin graft in 10 years. He told me Invisalign was the only option to help with the pain. Let me highlight - there are signs all around the office that they are a 2022 Gold Invisalign Provider. Clearly, they push this on patients all the time. There is nothing wrong with my gums and nothing wrong with my teeth from my orthodontic work. I have been to other dentists and these issues he made up had never been brought up to me. I had also never experienced that kind of pain during a dental appointment. After I rejected Invisalign, he lowered the setting of the tool and went back to work on my teeth. It no longer hurt - which told me that he intentionally hurt me to scare me into thinking I needed Invisalign or I would be in that kind of pain in 10 years all the time. Not only did I already lose trust in him to take care of my teeth and have my best interests at heart, but during the appointment - which was for a cleaning - HE DID NOT CLEAN MY TEETH. He did not floss them, brush them, or clean them the way I have had done by every single other practitioner I had ever been to. Instead, he tried to sell me on a fluoride treatment, which I declined, and then said I was good to go. He ignored that I thought I had a cavity, did not even go near those teeth when he went in with the tool at the start of the appointment. It was ridiculous and I would recommend anyone in the area to go somewhere else for adequate dental care. This was truly ridiculous.

Yelp
The worst . I explained I haven't been to the dentist in years (dental anxiety) and have a sore tooth, immediately was told that I'd need to save money for out of pocket expenses (lol). I have insurance so I questioned what would my insurance cover "root canals and dentures". Left with just a cleaning if you can call it that it was rough and uncomfortable and brief as I couldn't endure the pain. It's been weeks since I was told they'd "check with my insurance what would be covered" obviously i got worse , my face swelled and I had to have emergency dental care done yesterday. Whole experience made me angry and I don't write reviews generally so here we are.

Julian C.

Yelp
Came in for a wisdom tooth removal, first they didn't even send the quote to the insurance, and started saying the insurance wouldn't cover it, called up the insurance company and they said, we didn't receive a quote from them, started saying for me to finance, very unprofessional, saw a nurse bring in 2L of Soda, you can hear them having a fun time laughing, in the back room. SCAM ARTIST RIGHT HERE DONT GO TO THEM. IF THIS HAPPENS TO YOU CALL YOUR INSURANCE TO, GET THEM OFF THE NETWORK.
google avatar

Devin A.

Yelp
My appointment was for 10Am and I went in to get x-rays for my teeth at 10:45. The first nurse that helped me couldn't get the piece in my mouth and blamed me for not relaxing my tongue (how in the fuck do you do that?). A second nurse came in to help and managed to get a few more. When she was fiddling with a piece it dropped on the floor. She picked it up and was sanitizing it. I asked if she was going to put the piece that FELL ON THE FLOOR in my mouth and she said that it really doesn't go in your mouth because we put a plastic over it. I refused to have her put it in my mouth and threatened to leave and she said I could leave whenever I wanted. I left and talked with the lady at the front and said that this nurse was completely rude. I couldn't get a cleaning because I was a new patient and needed x-rays beforehand. Never going back to that disgusting place ever again. Be wary of them putting equipment that fell on the floor in your mouth. Disgusting.

Yelp
The staff is great the Dr Rosen took his time with me and was patient and answered all my questions I will be recommending this office to my friends and family.

Shantelle M.

Yelp
I had an appointment at carroll gardens dental on Monday, the staff is very welcoming and will help you if you have any questions. All doctors there are very informative & walk you through your dental treatment. I'll highly recommend going here.

Lauren S.

Yelp
Recently had a dental emergency and Dr. Rosen and his staff saved the day. From the moment I arrived I knew I was in good hands and they would fix my cracked front tooth. Despite my hysteria Dr. Rosen discussed my treatment plan and with his gentle hands created a temporary crown where I was able to smile again. I will be back in two weeks for my permanent crown.

Yelp
DIRTY OFFICE. Disorganized, overworked staff. Bad experience, and I didn't even stay for the cleaning! When they finally figured out they took my insurance and got me in the room for the cleaning, I noticed the instrument panel was grimy -- I could literally take grime off with my fingernail. The instruments on the tray didn't appear clean -- there were streaks on the mouth mirror and the tweezers didn't look too good. The mat under the tray was old and dirty. When I pointed out the dirt and got up to leave, the office admin offered to clean it for me, but I wasn't sticking around to see more. Not recommended.

Paul M.

Yelp
My daughter had her filling done, it fell out within the warranty. They would not fix it, would not honor their work. Be aware of these scammers. Good louck. EM

Yelp
Go elsewhere! This guy does shoddy work! He talks to his staff and clients so disrespectfully too. Watch out for the illegal charges he tries and tacks on! He's being reported.

Heather D.

Yelp
The absolute WORST experience I have ever had! They fitted me for a nightguard that I paid in FULL same day. They made 4 appointments with me after to pick up and cancelled each appointment day before or day of. They finally scheduled with me again, I show up waited over an hour, they take me into the office and start to fit me again. I explained I was picking it up and this step had already been taken. I asked for a full refund and was told the dentist would call me. Not a single call, I however have followed up for weeks with no return call. Not only did they waste hours of my time but now do not even have the courtesy to return my call or refund my money. I am contacting a lawyer and will be sure they respond. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME, they are the worst!!

Yelp
It isn't a pleasant thing if you bite on something hard during dinner and it turns out to be a crown from a tooth in your mouth. It also isn't a good thing if that tooth doesn't have enough left of it to fit it back on until you can get in to see the dentist. And it's a really bad thing when your dentist is in Virginia Beach and you are in Brooklyn indefinitely. It was the weekend. So I lived with the pain when liquid would touch what must be an exposed nerve in that stub of a tooth. There wasn't an alternative. My first call on Monday was to my dental office in Virginia Beach. After conferring with the dentist, the recommendation was to go to a dentist in Brooklyn. That tooth couldn't be exposed until I returned. My next call was to Carroll Gardens Dental Associates, the recommendation of a friend. They were extremely accommodating to a new patient with an emergency, working me in very quickly. The location was perfect, only a short walk within the neighborhood. And they were just as nice in the office as they had been on the telephone. I saw Dr. Lee, who was fabulous. He was young, knowledgeable and friendly. He praised the dentist who originally did my crown, saying "He does good work." Dr. Lee did an equally good job of glueing it back into place. On my next visit to my Virginia Beach dentist, he commented on the good work. Carroll Gardens Dental Associates is definitely on my recommendation list. They took care of my painful problem with professionalism and care.

Mkea E F.

Yelp
First, Dr. Rosin gave me a lazy cleaning. How does one have a bright light and still miss the plaque on my tooth. Second, my first set of fillings were done with care but the assistant decided it was better to watch TV while on the clock instead of assisting the dentist and paying close attention to my mouth where I almost choked....and experienced extreme dryness. I had to get HER attention. Lmfao ok. Third, my second set of fillings were rushed and done incorrectly to the point I cut my lip and it bled because it was too sharp. The appointment was also 37 minutes late! The other tooth looked as if it still had a dark color in it because it is translucent while the other filling he did was natural looking. When I came to visit the dentist to have them fixed he made a snarky remark after I made the comment "maybe it is me" then he stopped me and said "before you say anything else it is you" then he continued to patronize me by asking how many tools he can use to fix his work. You have gloves and you can feel it is sharp and ragged! He simply did not want to do the work. Then when I mentioned about the filling being translucent...he pretty much indicated he wasn't going to fix that. As if I would allow the most expensive work to be done on my teeth to be worked on by someone who could not do something so basic and was lazy and rushed in doing it the second time. Also, before I went in, some rude staff woman just opened the door and didn't even announce my name. She just shook her arms like she was in a thriller music video signaling me to come in. I didn't acknowledge her nor did I even look at her. I don't recognize people without a greeting. This is your job, you are not home. Lazy! Fourth, the staff is beyond rude and unprofessional. The front desk woman decided that it was appropriate to announce loudly that my insurance denied my requests. It gets worst...as she is announcing it she is snapping her fingers and nails and saying they said they denied it for this or whatever. Then proceeded with the money grin that she can do it for $250. I told her "I want to wait because I have extractions and the insurance has to approve...." and before I can finish she grinned and asked if they denied that too. I said "No , because local anesthesia doesn't require approval." She seemed disappointed that it wasn't denied. Pathetic. I never met a group of "professionals" in the medical field who acted like salesmen. Their faces brighten up like a dog who's owner comes home after a long day when it comes to paying out of pocket. Maybe they are broke but it is completely tacky and ghetto. Only poor companies act this way. I had great insurance in the past and great dentists so maybe the worst insurance you have is the worst dentist you get. This is the worst service and work I have ever had done on my teeth. Not everyone is qualified to be a good dentist and I know this now....and the work that needs to be done on my teeth was not even extreme. I don't recommend this office to any one with good or bad insurance. Even out of pocket. Please go somewhere else. If you are lacking time or a dentist location, wait an extra week and do more research before coming here. It should be your last resort....as in.....if you are 49 and will be infertile in 1 year kind of last resort. I am so happy that I am getting private insurance soon and I refuse to spend a dime at a "dentist" office who can't even do basic work. The money I saved to fix my teeth will not be spent at this terrible office with this terrible staff that can't even do basic work. Absolutely not! I do not take the behavior and actions of these "adults" personally because how people treat others is simply a reflection of themselves. I believe many of these reviews are fake. Thank me later!

M. M.

Yelp
This is billed as affordable dentistry because of their affiliation with NYCDental. But it is only ALLEGEDLY AFFORDABLE. Once you get in there and need anything more than x-rays and cleaning, you will hear the howling of Dentist Rosen, who signed a contract to accept your insurance company's fee but will not because he doesn't think it's enough. Maybe it isn't enough but how/why is that the patient's fault? How is having to cough up $2K or more out of your own pocket affordable? Not always the cleanest practices there either. Not sure I needed everything they said I did at all. I could write a book about how weird this practice is. Save yourself some suffering. Save your money and maybe someday, you can go somewhere less abusive and get your teeth fixed.

Yelp
Nothing has changed here at Carroll Street Dental! Dr.Lee is still great and the staff ESPECIALLY Stephanie is AWESOME!

Leah B.

Yelp
Trust the negative reviews! I would not recommend this place. Every time I have been they are pushy about extra expensive procedures that are not covered by insurance, including trying to charge me for a regular cleaning that should have been covered. It seems shady, beware.

Charlize B.

Yelp
Tbh after reading all these reviews I was expecting the worst possible experience. But that wasn't the case. I had a nice time here. I don't have the greatest experiences going to the dentist, but my appointment here was the best one I've had so far. Besides the long-ish wait time, and the teeth cleaning being a bit on the rougher side, I had a great time. All the ladies there were wonderful and Dr. Rosen was pretty nice too. I guess I'm lucky I had a good experience?

Diane D.

Yelp
Dr. Rosen and his staff are simply amazing. My son and I have been going to him for years. Always a pleasant experience! Diane Dixon

Gillian R.

Yelp
I'm not sure what's with the bad reviews here- Dr. Rosen is so pleasant and professional- have been here multiple times and he always explains procedures in detail so you feel comfortable- and does not do shoddy work in the least. I'm one of those people who is afraid of dentists too so- honestly, people- this man does excellent work and does not charge a lot at all!

Lauren Bates J.

Yelp
Dr. Rosen and Michelle have taken great care of me. They fit me in end of day (I was not even a patient at the time!) when a filling came out and I was in terrible pain. I'm very scared of needles and Michelle even held my hand while I got numbed. I see a lot of negative reviews, and while Dr Rosen does work quickly, I don't think that's because of neglect, but efficiency. I will be going back for further dental work, they've been great here!

Sabrina L.

Yelp
I went here for a semi emergency. I like this practice. Woman at the front desk was sweet and polite and in a good mood?!? Wha? The doc had a sense of humor, wasn't stuffy or condescending. He fixed up my temporary on going problem, which was not his doing initially, and was quick and informative about it. Unfortunately it didn't hold until my next appt with my general dentist who practices in Florida. I called, he took me right back and tried a better, more permanent solution. Voilà! I like the staff and the doc. I don't like going to the dentist. That will never change.

Lovell R.

Yelp
The staff is down to earth realiable and they know how to get straight to the point some people are emotional when it comes to teeth and all this stuff. I'm glad I went there because when I walked in I was greeted properly and handled professionally. I had a total of 8 visits in one of them the girl with the dark hair knew how to make me stop gagging I felt like she was good in any crisis. She told me to tilt my head down and I said I cant then she gave my head a quick push forward and it worked shes a beast and I'd trust her if a war broke out. Now Stephanie is definitely a person that you need at the helm of your businesses front desk shes nurturing and still knows how to get to the point and not waste time. She can run everything from calls to rescheduling and invoices and shes a mom! Now on to Dr. Rosen he is a straight shooter wont tell you fluff and has no time for bs. Rule of thumb you must trust a dentist that wears a green rolex the reason why is because the color green represents the color of life, renewal, nature, and energy, is associated with meanings of growth, harmony, freshness, safety, fertility, and environment. I wear a black one and that represents strength, seriousness, power, and authority. Black is a formal, elegant, and prestigious color.

Yelp
I came here for a cleaning/check up and consultation for teeth whitening. It was my first time, and the staff was very nice and the doctor was great, overall very pleasant experience. They had a good pricing for teeth whitening so I made an appointment a couple days after my cleaning. I'm so happy with my results! Dr. Rosen took care of me both visits and was very informative and helpful. I highly recommend!

Yelp
I would not recommend. I visited Dr. Rosen for years because I didn't know better. Appointments were always rushed. He did the cleaning himself a couple times, and was excessively rough. He once diagnosed me with nine cavities. When I got a second opinion, I had one. The fillings that I do have from him all give me trouble years later, because they are so close to the nerve. It's important to find a dentist that you're comfortable with, so this was not the place for me.

Yelp
When I walked in I was late. Told the receptionist that I understood if I had to reschedule cause it was my fault. She said it was ok that I can be seen. The dentist and the hygienist explain to me what had to be done. They made me feel comfortable. The way they spoke and treat customer that's the way it has to be. This is my new dentist office.

Yelp
Went ti the dentist today. Everyone here is sho friendly. I enjoy working with Stephanie. She is easy to work with. Dr. Lee is outstanding. Always makes me feel good knowing I hate needles. I would highly recommend this place to anyome looking for a dentist. I moved to Queens and still even go back to Brooklyn for them.

Yelp
-Took an unnecessary amount of x rays -Told me I have 7 cavities that needed to be filled/replaced within seconds of opening my mouth -My cleaning with under ten minutes long and felt no cleaner than when i arrived -Only polished my front four teeth at the end of the cleaning instead of all of my teeth -Oh! Also I wasn't seen by the dentist I had made an appointment with. I was concerned specifically about the number of cavities they said needed to be filled, especially since I had been to the dentist (a different dentist) 6 months prior and was told my teeth and gums were healthy. When I went to a check up 6 months after my appointment with the Carroll Gardens Dental Associates I was again told that I had no cavities and that they were likely just trying to charge for unnecessary procedures. The dentist I recently saw also suggested the same theory for the number of x-rays I had done and were shocked at the number I had sent to their office for my files.

Yelp
The cleaning took no longer than 10 min., when they finished they said they didn't do cleanings all they did was remove bacteria. There was no cleaning. Also, every time I've gone they try to 'up sell' me something that's not covered by insurance. Lastly, had a chipped tooth and a cavity, they said insurance covered both, made an appt. to get the work done. When I went to the office they back tracked and said only one one was covered and then said they'd discount the cost of the procedure if I paid in cash.

Yelp
Dr Rosen gets the job done. Simple is that. All the staff is very friendly and professional.

Yelp
I forgot to mention they also found an "infection" in my tooth, which conveniently required a $100 injection to fix. So I paid it. When I went to a real dentist six months later, they took x-rays and told me I had a deep cavity in that same tooth. A cavity that large doesn't form in six months - It was already there when I went to Carroll Gardens Dental, but their staff is too incompetent to fulfill the basic responsibilities of their job.

Yelp
Dr lee is very nice and knowledgeable. He is gentle and takes time to explain the procedure. His staff is nice too. The person in charge of the billing really knows how to deal with insurance. I highly recommend them
