Super cute experience that is unlike anything else right now. (Trains and planes are different!) The whole concept is really fun, from the overhead messages to themed cocktails to the vibrating seats while you're "flying." You enter with an old fashioned paper airline ticket, and it just goes on from there. The service was fine, although I can't really say we were flying the friendliest of skies. The servers (flight attendants) were polite and did their job, but they didn't seem t really be having a good time. (I can imagine it gets tedious for them.) Throughout the experience, there are a lot of fun touches, like announcements from the pilots.
We were there for the new "Flight to the North Pole" Christmas theme, and we each received a welcome drink (it's premade, but very tasty with hints of ginger and citrus), a tamale (disappointing that beef was the only option), peanuts, and toward the end some little cookies. It feels like the price tag of $30 is mostly just for entering the space, and I was a bit surprised that even though you pay for the tickets in advance, they add it back onto your bill so they can base the taxes and tip off the total amount paid. (This results in your tip being much higher than you expected if you're not paying careful attention.) Additional drinks average $18-19, but they are good. There is also the martini cart in which you can choose from different styles for your classic martini (gin, vodka, dirty, filthy, olives, blue cheese olives, onions, etc), as well as a special peppermint martini (which was actually very excellent), and the martinis are made in cute penguin cocktail shakers at your table.
It is a fun experience, probably overpriced, but it is the kind of thing you probably won't do more than once or twice.
