Austin Asian American and Pacific Islander Bakers Are Raising Money Through a Bake Sale | Eater Austin

"A ranch venue that hosted the Austin Crawfish Festival on March 6 faced widespread criticism for poor organization, leaving many attendees very upset about how the event was run." - Nadia Chaudhury

Went to the Concert Dome at Carson Creek and it was an amazing experience! I've never been out there before and will definitely check it out again. Just be prepared for all the dirt!

Google
great place! Music was so so good. I loved panning for gold in the old river. We found a bunch actually. And best of all, this is a great place to see UFO's at night. One UFO even landed in the field and an alien got out. We will be back!

Please be warned this venue was so beyond disorganized , one road in and out, hours waiting in the car line or walk miles to the venue. Staff didn’t check bags at all and when the severe weather alert hit staff kicked us out with no direction of plan. Saw a girl having a seizure and no medical around at all to help her. Waited hours in will call. This was a nightmare, I’ve wasted hundreds on gas and hotels to be here the least yall can do is offer full refunds . This was so unsafe,

It was an ok venue went to the Wicked Oaks festival here and it rained a lot and it got very muddy people got their cars stuck. And also it right next to airport so you hear planes the whole time fly over its cool to see but pretty loud.

Google
This was by far the most unorganized event.I have ever attended in my life.If you are looking for something fun, please do not attend any festivals. At this location, aside from waiting in line for 2 hours to get parking the line to pick up a wristband was even longer, and by the time I picked it up. And went inside. I purchased some food because I was hungry. Then, walked to one of the nearby stages and heard, maybe one almost two songs before they alerted us of severe inclement weather and forced us to evacuate. The evacuation was so unorganized. There was no one directing anybody where to go. And everyone was kind of just clumping together at the one entrance. Had there actually been a real emergency, everybody would be dead. Unless you're looking to waste time and money, do not attend because they will not refund you even if you were only there for 20 minutes inside.

Google
The environment and place are cool. However, can they pave a damn road? I shouldn't worry about getting stuck going to a concert/festival

Google
Euphoria Music Festival took place here and it was pretty amazing. Just have to say that the pour your drink out policy as you entered and left festival/campgrounds made for a REALLY muddy mass exodus. I think I have literally no other complaints. It was a really nice area and very accommodating for the beautiful festival.

Google
Didn’t really do much exploring but I’d give it 5 stars only because we were smart enough to walk to venue instead of dealing with the 2 hour traffic to park.

Yelp
A venue that is really not fully equipped to handle such large crowds for the events they consciously take money from. The lack of accessibility not only to access the venue which is off of a FM Road, but accessibility for anyone in general is missing. The parking lots are literally dirt lots which is a nightmare when it comes to heavy rain, lack of even hay or loose gravel is irresponsible. They should really make it a point to have all events here require designated park and ride to avoid the congestion of the one lane, two way road.

Yelp
I attended an event here and there was no notice that there was a fee for parking. There are no other parking options so you are forced to pay. Directions to the event were not clear. GPS took us a route on a dirt road by houses that led to a closed gate. Lots of cars backed up because we couldn't get through the gate and everyone had to turn around on this narrow dirt road. We all had to wait while 1 car at a time did a turn around. As we were driving back down that road we passed so many cars also going the wrong way. The ranch has a 2nd entrance near a landscape supplier. There were no signs, etc. leading us to the event. I think they could do a better job hosting events.

Yelp
Attempted to come here for the crawfish "fyre" festival. Luckily we got here early so it was only about 45 minutes of waiting in line to park. However, for everyone else, it was 1-3 hours! It is not designed well for large events. On top of that, they were charging to park which blindsided us. Not completely their fault but more so the people who hosted the crawfish festival, they are scammers overall. The venue's grounds were infested with nats. If your event happens to be here, get there as early as possible to beat the lines.

Yelp
Carson Creek Ranch is an event venue available for anyone to book music, food, art and theater events. It's a little piece of heaven. The venue is close to downtown and the airport but feels like you're out in the country. I've been here for a few events and heading out to the ranch is always a great time.

Yelp
I was at Carson Creek Ranch for Untapped Fest in April 2015. The location is great - just along Carson Creek, it's very scenic and beautiful! HOWEVER - this place is a nightmare if you're there for a crowded event! Because of the left turn off of 183 you have to do to get here, it took us about 1.5 hours just to turn. Literally, we sat there for an hour and a half! 183 was so backed up! Then once we got onto Dalton Road - people were just parking on the street to avoid having to pay the $10 parking fee. All in all, it took us 2 hours to get there and park! CRAZY. Then (and, I'll admit this isn't the fault of Carson Creek Ranch) later in the evening a horrible storm passed through Austin - and it started to rain HARD and then HAIL. People had no where to go to escape the rain! We were lucky and happened to be in our car already when the rain started, but everyone else got DRENCHED. We let some people get into the back seat to escape the rain and hail! I'm sure I'd love this place for a festival if only they could make it easier to get to!

Yelp
Parking is a nightmare here which boggles my mind because there is so much land. Get it together people, if you are hosting large events you need to be prepared. No one wants to wait 1hr-1 1/2 hrs in a line just to park. Many people waited all that time just to be turned away because it was full and there was no where else close to park. Spraying for insects would be nice too, there was a nat infestation all over as well as mounds of fire ants everywhere. The grounds seemed to have no maintenance at all.

Yelp
Went here for Euphoria Fest 2017. Great event, great people, great land. Parking and camping were great. Carson Creek Ranch is Amazing.

Yelp
Carson Creek Ranch is an outdoor venue for concerts, festivals, charities, etc. It's located near the Austin-Bergstrom International Airport and downtown Austin, probably within 10 minutes. Recently, I came here due to Euphoria Music & Camping Festival. Without the stages and tents, Carson Creek Ranch is a 58-acre ranch.. essentially an open field. I thought it was great for an outdoor event. I'm sure it accommodates about 40,000 fans who come to see their favorites. There were a lot of food, bar, and varying businesses for the festival. We had to pay $10 for dirt lot parking daily, but I'm sure parking changes for each event. Camping grounds were pretty awesome too! I would choose the option of camping out here versus booking a hotel nearby. Place is mostly clean, so staff does a dandy job cleaning the next morning. There were 2 different locations staffed with plenty of port-a-potties. The only downside of Carson Creek Ranch is getting to the place. You have to drive carefully to make sure you don't miss 'Old Bastrop Highway' because the sign is tiny.

Yelp
This is the worst venue in Austin. $60 to see a local band and you don't even have bathroom facilities. $25 to park. 3 heaters for the entire venue. 1 beer tent with mile long lines. Thanks for ripping off the community.

Yelp
I attended a fund-raiser here for a local charity. This isn't so much a "venue" as it is an "open field with electricity available from somewhere". I'm not going to one-star it, because the event was decent and the ground was level, but there's not much more to review that's part of the "venue" and not brought by the event.
