Yelp
Booked near half the fourth floor for wedding guests , front desk folks were freindly , shorter lady ( beleive she was housekeeping ) was usesless , poor attitude , unfreindly. Ac unit was not working in our room from the get go but we arrived in the evening so we dealt with it the first night, called it in on the second day and thats when we met the " evil housekeeping lady" just unfreindly, actually told me at one point after the technicians ( who were freindly , but seemed overworked) " you know, you can open the window".... i regarded this as funny, and just opened the door to the room , as the air outside the room was much cooler. Several complaints from other guests were heard as well , from the almost cigar like smell in the hallways to the rusty water that came from the faucets for the first minute or so you turned the water on to the elevator that had a mind of its own and a "final destinationesque" 30 second hesitation as it decided exactly where the floor was it was going to open doors at. If you think 30seconds is not a long time, stand in an elevator with the doors closed , neither going up or down for that amount of time and im sure you will have a different outlook on timespace, lol. I dont leave reviews and really dislike leaving a not so good one , but these are only a few of the issues i and those in out party encountered. Some petty, some minor and some just uncalled for in the hospitality business. My suggestion is to the owners, if you are going to provide a service to folks , amd appreciate their patronage, make them feel comfortable , safe and welcome. And always be helpful and have a smile on your face even if its only when you are dealing with them. And to the "evil housekeeping lady" , everyone needs a job, not everyone wants the one they have, just try to remember, your guests didnt have anything to do with hiring you or what kind of day you had or are having . So smile, n be freindly. Its the occupation you are in , like it or not. You may even find that it makes you feel better to get a smile in return.
