Carstens Brasserie Amsterdam

A quiet cafe restaurant just across from Amsterdam Central Station. I visited with my children, and they prepared a chair for the baby, which was helpful. The staff was also very friendly and grateful. There is no toilet for children, but the seats were spacious and very good.

We had a big group there (20+), with different dietary requirements, but the staff of the restaurant were so nice and patient to accommodate all of them. In the end the team dinner was very successful, people liked the food and had a great time. And the set menu was also a good deal!

It’s just a pretty average fine dining restaurant. The seafood soup was delicious, but the cod in the main course risotto was slightly overcooked. The dessert was underwhelming, unfortunately.

We had steak and rissotto! It was the best steak I've ever taste. Perfectly cooked👍 and the sause was very creative and delicious. Rissotto with fish literally melted in my mouth. I really enjoyed. Waiter was so kind and gentle. We could put our lauggage in clokroom and had dinner comfortabely. Thank you! :)

Phenomenal experience at Carstens. The ambiance and decor were great, the staff friendly and attentive. The food was outstanding with amazing taste and presentation. We would have eaten there twice if we could.

A creative adaptation of Dutch cuisine. Refined, delicious food nicely presented on dishes and served by a kind, efficient caring and discreet staff. The chef explained with passion and professionalism the different dishes to us. Last but not least , you get an excellent quality-price ratio. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Phenomenal service and food! We made the reservation a few days in advance knowing that we would be staying at the hotel. It was actually out of convenience so we didn’t have much expectations, but the restaurant blew us away with the set menu! We loved every dish, especially the starter with beetroot and cheese. Not overly seasoned and just enough fineness to match it’s beautiful ambiance. The servers were all delightful to engage with and certainly the friendliest we’ve come across traveling through cities in the Netherlands.

One of the most memorable experiences I've had, the 4 course menu was made with delectable & fresh local ingredients which were exquisitely prepared, while the wine pairing were amazing. Our waiter David gave us an outstanding experience, really felt like a natural interaction and all around fun & knowledgeable. The atmosphere and decor was also on point... Will be coming back !
