This is probably one of the cutest airport coffee shops I’ve seen yet- located in the Phoenix airport. After a super early morning flight caffeine was much needed, and Cartel Roasting was a whole vibe. I got some kind of honey cinnamon latte based on the baristas recommendation and it was exactly what was needed to revive me. Also got a breakfast burrito that took a few minutes to be made so it was hot, fresh and delicious. For being a coffee shop in the airport they really put effort into the look and aesthetic of this and I loved every bit of it!

Run of the mill cafe at Phoenix airport. Food: Matcha Oatmilk Latte was prepared well. Also serves light snacks and pastries. Ambiance: Airport gate hangout Value: Prices were high for the quality of food and service. Expected for airport.

Walked across the airport to get the potato burrito because it was one of the few things I could eat. Said it would take 10 min but that was just enough time to make it back to my gate. When I bit into it, it was the egg burrito which I cannot eat because I’m allergic to egg and dairy. Didn’t have time to make it back to try and get the right order so was out the money and the food. Giving an extra star just because they have the option of the potato burrito.

Very glad I found this place, it made having a long flight delay a bit better! They have pretty unique drinks options, especially compared to most airport coffee stands - their pumpkin latte was one of my favorite pumpkin drinks I’ve had!

Single origin pour over coffee? Single size cappuccinos and lattes? Am I in a hip neighborhood or an airport terminal? Can’t believe I just got actual specialty coffee in an airport and it was genuinely GOOD. What a delightful surprise to enjoy a tasty pour over coffee (they were slow, don’t worry) before my flight home, absolutely made my day!

At Phoenix airport I popped in for a cup of coffee to take on the plane. LITERALLY- THE BEST CUP OF COFFEE I’VE EVER HAD! So delicious. I was grateful on my flight back that I had a layover with enough time to stop in and buy a bag. Barista was super helpful on choice options too.

A bit pricey compared to other coffee shops (but it’s at the airport so). The poblano potato burrito I got was insanely delicious. I loved it!! So crispy on the outside, warm and soft on the inside, and the sauce provided was complementing it well too. I was told that the burrito would take 10 mins but was willing to wait. I got a lavender matcha on the side that I also enjoyed, not too sweet or bitter. Perfect. Kind staff, quick service.

After our flight from Seattle got delayed, we weren’t going to have time for a sit down dinner in Phoenix, on our way to Atlanta, as we hoped. Cartel saved us with their premade sandwiches. Love the alternative staff! They were super sweet and helped us get out of there in a hurry so that we didn’t miss our flight. And the sandwiches were fresh and tasty. There were Italian wraps and Turkey, but, $10 dollars for a little premade chicken salad sandwich? It was a little pricey! Sorry I can’t speak to the coffee, we didn’t get any of that. But we really enjoyed the craft sodas in a can!
