This is probably one of the cutest airport coffee shops I’ve seen yet- located in the Phoenix airport. After a super early morning flight caffeine was much needed, and Cartel Roasting was a whole vibe. I got some kind of honey cinnamon latte based on the baristas recommendation and it was exactly what was needed to revive me. Also got a breakfast burrito that took a few minutes to be made so it was hot, fresh and delicious. For being a coffee shop in the airport they really put effort into the look and aesthetic of this and I loved every bit of it!

Run of the mill cafe at Phoenix airport. Food: Matcha Oatmilk Latte was prepared well. Also serves light snacks and pastries. Ambiance: Airport gate hangout Value: Prices were high for the quality of food and service. Expected for airport.

Walked across the airport to get the potato burrito because it was one of the few things I could eat. Said it would take 10 min but that was just enough time to make it back to my gate. When I bit into it, it was the egg burrito which I cannot eat because I’m allergic to egg and dairy. Didn’t have time to make it back to try and get the right order so was out the money and the food. Giving an extra star just because they have the option of the potato burrito.

At Phoenix airport I popped in for a cup of coffee to take on the plane. LITERALLY- THE BEST CUP OF COFFEE I’VE EVER HAD! So delicious. I was grateful on my flight back that I had a layover with enough time to stop in and buy a bag. Barista was super helpful on choice options too.

I’ve always been a Cartel coffee fan, and I’m so glad to be able to find one inside the airport—great coffee and highly recommended.

I had a layover in Phoenix recently and decided to stop by for a cup of coffee. Generally speaking, airport coffee leaves a lot to be desired, but as soon as I walked up and saw their menu and equipment, I knew I was in good hands. Normally I wouldn’t order two drinks, but given the opportunity to try what looked like a high quality shop, I went ahead and ordered my usual iced oatmilk latte and an additional espresso tonic, as that drink is a bit of rarity in most shops, so I went for it. Both drinks were fantastic. The espresso was made properly and they both had great balance in terms of flavors. This is a great shop to have access to in an airport, absolutely worth the stop.

A bit pricey compared to other coffee shops (but it’s at the airport so). The poblano potato burrito I got was insanely delicious. I loved it!! So crispy on the outside, warm and soft on the inside, and the sauce provided was complementing it well too. I was told that the burrito would take 10 mins but was willing to wait. I got a lavender matcha on the side that I also enjoyed, not too sweet or bitter. Perfect. Kind staff, quick service.

Really well done coffee for an airport, I was genuinely surprised. At $7 for a agave sweetened latte, it was a bit pricey, but it tasted so much better than any artificially flavored drink that I might have gotten at the nearby Starbucks. Money well spent 👍🏽
