This review is for the resort. Overall, I do not think I would return here to stay the night. My wife and I stayed here for 2 nights and spent about $600 for those 2 nights. I think $350-400 would have been more appropriate.
I should mention: the views were amazing, property was clean, pool and hot tub were nice and room was nice looking. However, that's where it ends.
1) The thermostats don't let you drop the temp below 70. Which is fine unless it's a day with 40-50%+ humidity. The first night I got about 3 hours of sleep. The second night was maybe 5-6. The 2 days we spent in Temecula were not as great as they could have been because I was dead tired. I woke up hot and sweating several times. Word to the wise, wrap a bag handle around the thermostat to activate the motion sensor. The 70 limit is just stupid... they limit your comfort. You can open the windows, but it barely helps. You either keep the sheer curtains over the window to get airflow but let light in in the morning. Or close the light blocking ones, kill the airflow but keep it dark.
2) The bed was not comfortable. So that didn't help the situation. Uncomfortably hot and uncomfortable in general...
3) The shower was not working. The water was hot then would have a surge and become freezing. Then warm. Happened a couple times, which was really annoying. Plus, there was black mold in the grout, which was a delightful touch.
4) The continental breakfast was severely underwhelming. We stayed at a best western before getting to Temecula and the continental breakfast was significantly better. Eggs, toast, waffles, the works. Here? Some crappy mini muffin and croissant with a handful of fruit for 2 people. Or yogurt. Or you could pay for breakfast, which also adds 18% gratuity and a $4 delivery charge. And the second morning they just knocked and yelled "we will just leave it on the floor" and left. Sorry, you couldn't wait 5 seconds for me to get the door? I also had a tip for them for both days (couldn't find my wallet fast enough the first day). But I guess the didn't want it...
5) Lots of petty nonsense. Broken curtains, broken toilet lid, leaky tub, leaky toilet. Bed and TV don't line up. Fan and vents don't point towards bed. 1 main door for 2 bungalows, so if your neighbor doesn't let the door close quietly, you hear them slam EVERY SINGLE TIME. Just not very well laid out.
We have stayed in many places in Temecula. This was hands down the worst value. I highly recommend looking elsewhere. This is not a $300/night establishment (including taxes and fees). At best I'd say $200/night. $175 is more reasonable.
