Now that there are new owners the place is alot cleaner, but it sure has slowed down. The food is good but it takes forever to get it. It also is disappointing that there is no more drive through.

Amazing people and delicious food! We are the chicken, fries, gizzards and chicken livers. The chicken nuggets are half the size of my fist, and the chicken tenders are huge! The taste is amazing too! Love the people that work there!! It was so good, we changed our route to stop back by on the way home to TN.

Stopped by with my family while driving through Georgia. The food was great and the ladies behind the counter were very sweet. They were accommodating with my hyper toddler!

Food was hot and just like, I asked and Cole slaw homemade another plus.

Driving through Georgia and stopped for some lunch with the family (4) . Friendly staff, average cleanliness, and room to sit or stretch your legs. We ordered 2 chic sandwiches, fries all the way around, and split a 8 piece. The chicken was delicious and well prepared. 30 minutes between the ordering and the finishing. Everyone left happy and full. Recommend for the traveling families.

We come here once or twice a year during hunting season. Went by today. Started off having to microwave everything because it was cold after only a 10 minute drive. Then the chicken seemed to be fried at too high of a temperature and the skin was hard as a rock. Also, got a few wings with my meal and had to be some of the smallest wings I've ever seen. Not to mention the service wasn't the most pleasant. Won't be returning.

Very nice people (most of them, haha!) and amazing, juicy, fried chicken. Stopped in here for lunch on our way down 27 and we were not disappointed. Chicken wings are good also. My son got a double bacon cheeseburger and it was huge. Plus they have locally made cake and pie. Locals eat here. I'll be back.

The place is clean, the people behind the counter are friendly. And it is cheaper than KFC. Local.

Carter's has reopened under new management and the food is fantastic with the original recipes being followed. The inside of Carter's has been updated and is clean and inviting. The fried chicken and cole slaw are the best around and the apple turnovers make for a great dessert. Try the buffalo chicken fries with a large sweet tea for a great all-in-one meal. Everything is made to order, so please be patient for a hot, delicious meal.

We all ate lunch there Monday as a family after a funeral on our way home to Orlando Florida, the food and service was excellent.

Carters is the best fried food you could ever eat it's better than any fried chicken you could have it doesn't matter if it's 5 star fried chicken

The food is good when it's fresh. But the worst part is waiting in line. You will sit in line for 30 minutes before you get to the window.

The food here was ok, their slaw was the best thing on my tray today. I had fried chicken, fries and slaw. The biggest complaint I had was the size of the chicken. It should be illegal to kill baby chickens and serve them for meals. The atmosphere was like eating in a library it was very quiet.

If you go there half the time they have none of the chicken pieces you desire! In a small county, folks travel over 10 miles only to discover nothing is available! So I have made my last trip, I will just pickup my chicken elsewhere! Not worth it!

When this chicken is hot, you can't beat it. You will be licking your fingers, it's that good. This is a small town and the staff at the restaurant are down-home folks and extremely friendly. Just give them a call, ask them when a hot batch of chicken will be coming up, then get in your car and speed down there and get some.

Fries r never crisp chicken is best in town now but food is very greasy and u may smell of grease if dine in sandwiches often have bones in Chicken finger dinner is very good.
