Legit the best taco joint I’ve been to! Not expensive when you consider these guys have to make a living wage. The tacos that I got (5 spice, etc) were so flipping good!!! I was incredibly surprised by the service. There was only one guy behind the counter and he was so incredibly welcoming, and he definitely runs a tight ship in that kitchen. 10/10 will definitely come again

Literally THE BEST taco I’ve ever had. It was presentable, tasted delicious, the chicken was cooked perfectly! I had the chili lime chicken taco with pickled onions and a Jalapeño cilantro crema sauce that was outstanding!! 100/10 by far! They have a deal for $14 you can try 3 different tacos. The only complaint I had was that I didn’t have more!! Will definitely be returning with my family and friends to show off!

Best tacos in the State College and surrounding area. We had the taco flight. Employees and the owner were extremely helpful soon as we walked through the door. We ran into the owner later down the road and he asked how our meal was. Support this local business, you will not be disappointed. We will be back for sure!

We ordered brisket, chilli-lime and roasted pork taco to try. Nothing amazing about the taco. Could have use some crunchy veg to give it additional texture. Also one of the tacos was extremely salty. We think it was the brisket. Overall, just average.

Found Carter’s on Google, decided to check it out. Met the chef and Owner, he could not have been nicer! Helped up navigate the menu, spoke about his recipes, everything made from scratch! Some of the best tacos I’ve ever had, our entire party hasn’t stopped speaking about them since our trip. Will definitely return the nice time we visit the area.

I love finding good food places. Finding a taco place is a bonus! All were fantastic, buuuut that brisket though. It melted like butter with every bite. Eye-rollingly good taco place. 😋 I understand why this place has a 4.9 review. Sending blessings upon blessings your way!

Delicious food with friendly and helpful staff that go above and beyond to serve you. I had the 3 tacos and the brisket was my favorite. Very flavorful! I will be back!

The food here is really good, and workers are super friendly. They have a nice little salsa bar, and have plenty of options to dress your tacos. The prices are pretty good, but I feel the tacos are on the pricey side. But whether you are looking for a spot for lunch or hungry from the bars, this is the place to go.

Ate a pork and black bean quesadilla at Rhoneymeade Fest. It really hit the spot, and the cream and pickled onions inside with a splash of lime and cilantro on the outside made a great meal. Everything was perfectly grilled, the mild salsa was very fresh and flavorful (the hot berry salsa was watery and not very hot).

The food is amazing, the staff is great and make any accommodations necessary when asked. The place doesn't rent to be full so orders come out fast. Nice ambience as well. Best tacos in town, but lightly more expensive than other places.

Wow! Tacos are unreal, the balance of flavours create a one of kind mouth watering experience that you want repeat right away!

Fabulous little taco joint in State College Pa. Nice little outside eating area. Tacos were phenomenal! I got a three taco special - Thai chicken, pork and brisket - all delicious and service with a smile. If they had 4.5 stars, they would get that for mixing up the order a bit, but the food was really good, so they get the 5.

If I could give this place above a five star rating I 100% would! I'm passionate about it! Probably the best tacos I've ever had!! The place is pretty unassuming as you walk in. They don't offer the largest menu but all the dishes are super unique and flavorful! I was immediately greeted with a kind smile as I walked in. Both people working were incredibly kind, patient, and helpful! I personally tried the Asian beef, lime chicken, and buffalo chicken tacos. The Asian beef taco is an absolute MUST TRY! Even if you're not the biggest beef fan. The two chicken tacos also blew me out of the water! All of the tacos are so flavorful!!! They offer excitement in every bite! Your palate will be surprised with each burst of flavor! Carters table also offers a salsa bar, featuring a variety of fresh house made salsas! It includes lots of options at all different spices. From tomatillo verde mild to "spicy berry" heat! I unfortunately didn't have the opportunity to fully enjoy these salsas because the tacos are already so flavorful you don't even need to put anything on them!! I would recommend ordering a basket of chips to fully enjoy the delicious spread! Perfect place for college students and visiting family's alike! I will DEFINITELY be back!!

Went here for the first time recently, food was delicious!!! I got a black bean quesadilla, my husband got the chicken, and I got the kid's quesadilla for my son. It was empty when I went, and took about 20 minutes to get my food- it was definitely all piping hot and fresh! Excited to come back here again and try the tacos too

I had heard about this place from several people and had been wanting to give it a try for a while since they went from being a food truck to a brick and mortar establishment. I finally found them (they are in a weird strip mall on the spooky east side of town), and my first thought was "omg $16 for a quesadilla?!?" But I swallowed and went ahead with the brisket tinga quesadilla. It was smack in the middle of the lunch rush and there was a huge line, and I fully expected to be waiting around for half an hour for my food. Fortunately, the food truck days served this restaurant well and they were speedy fast in getting everyone their food. I had only sat down for a minute before my quesadilla was ready, and I noticed the cook listening to my order and actively making the quesadilla as I ordered it - talk about fast! The quesadilla was delicious - I love the cilantro crema and chutney which does a great job rounding out the flavor profile. Going back to the price, this is easily a two person meal, and despite being starving before I came here, I took half of it home and had it for dinner. They have a great little salsa bar, and being a fan of spicy foods, I immediately went for the spiciest stuff. It was good, but then on whim I tried the chipotle salsa (mild) and wow it was by far the best. So smoky and delicious. The restaurant looks like what you would expect a food truck - turned - restaurant - in - strip mall would look like (cheap chairs, not much to write home about), but that is fine! We don't need fancy artwork to enjoy tacos!

Found this taco shop on Yelp and wasn't disappointed. Not a fancy place, but very tasty tacos - we had five spice beef, lime chicken and pulled pork. Give it a try.

I've heard about this place for some time. It was previously a food truck but now a brick a mortar establishment. Access in this strip mall area is not great and it's meter parking (quarter only). If you're downtown then it's worth the walk to the eastern part of town. Ambiance is similar to any fast food establishment. The menu is tacos. Not traditional style tacos but don't let that deter you from visiting. I got the taco flight (3 total). My three were 5 spice beef, thai pork and chile-lime chicken. First off these are big and full tacos. I was stuffed by the end and will opt for 2 moving forward. The 5 spice beef was delicious and my favorite. The thai pork was a close second. The chile-lime chix was just okay. All had an array of sauces and toppings that were fresh and delicious. Pricing may seem high ($4 to $5 per taco) but remember these are BIG tacos. I'd equate 2 tacos to a 9" sub. Counter service was fast and food came out quick. The owner came over to ask how it was and I was happy to tell him "delicious". I can't wait to go back!

Great food here in state college, where choices are limited. Sean is very welcoming, willing to give recommendations, and proud of the business he's built. The ambiance is lacking a bit, but the food and in house made salsas more than made up for it.

These were the best tacos I've had in a long time. The chef clearly likes to make flavorful meat, as all four I had were incredible: lamb, brisket, beef crumble, and pork. Service was fast. I ate in and had my food 5 or so minutes after I ordered. It's a fast casual place so you order at the counter and they call your name when your order is ready. Very, very solid low key place. I wish I lived nearby.

I had the brisket tacos and my daughter had pork tacos. Excellent service and excellent food. Will be going back for sure!

We had a delicious meal at Carter's table. The tacos are delicately seasoned and truly delicious. Our favorites are the chicken, pork, and Thai taco. We also sampled the Asian, five spice and the brisket. I would recommend any of them. The five spice is definitely spicy and has that particular "five spice" flavor to it so only recommended for people who like spicy things. Check them out. They close a little early around seven but they are a wonderful addition to our community and the owner is a spectacular person.

Six stars!!! Most amazing tacos in the United States. The service is quick and the food is fresh. They make everything fresh there even the brisket. Beautiful mural inside and comfortable for small groups or to grab n go.

Don't sleep on this place. Come and get a flight or two of tacos. I'm not sure you can go wrong with any choices but we tried everything and the brisket tinga and the Thai BBQ were the favorites. Fresh salsa and fresh ingredients. But I would be happy eating more of any of them. Shawn is awesome... come gets some tacos.

This place is way too good for state college. Great prices for some amazing tacos. Everything has so much flavor and they never hold back on portions. Homemade salsas are also delicious. Their carnitas are to die for.

Phenomenal lunch!!! The 3 taco flight seemed, initially, a little expensive at $13.95 but it was amazing and worth every penny. I have a hearty appetite and 3 tacos more than filled me up. Delicious flavor combinations! Highly recommended!

Super flavorful tacos, I can't believe something this tastey is in State College. Tried the berry sauce and it was delicious and packed a surprising heat wallop. Also parking was easy which is not a given downtown. Heavy recommend. Hope folks learn that this spot exists b cause it's kinda hidden between college and beaver.

Me and some friends went here for the first time last night and it was amazing! The place is cute and has a good amount of seating. The menu is not too big but the items on the menu make up for that. I got the chili lime chicken quesadilla and it was delicious. I paid about $18 for a quesadilla and a drink. I bit on the pricey side for a college town but that's not here nor there. The food came out fast and the service was great! They were very helpful and even gave recommendations. I will definitely be coming back not just for the food but the service as well!

Amazing. The meat in these tacos was excellent. We got the chicken, brisket, and pork. Each was fantastic. The owner was friendly and helped us choose, and carefully advised us on hot sauce pairings. Great place to check out if you're new or old to the area. A welcome addition.

Oh my - this place is a hidden gem. The tacos and quesadillas are to die for. Their sauces are fresh and spicy. The quesadillas are huge resembling a panini. I've been to many taco places (including Texas) this is by far the best. Not fancy, but who cares. Oh - the flour tortilla are home made and crunchy. Looking forward to my next visit.

We had the rice bowl (gr beef) and the brisket quesadilla -- if we lived closer, these two would be on our menu multiple times a week!! Simply amazing and I would highly recommend! Staff/owner was very helpful too!

I'd been wanting to try Carter's Table for a while. It did not disappoint. I had the best quesadilla I've ever had. Truly delicious. Had a nice conversation with the chef/owner. He seems like a great guy. Looking forward to going again soon.

this place is so good!! I finally tried it after many of my friends recommended it. The tacos are absolutely delicious and the people who work there are extremely kind and pleasant to talk to!! I cannot wait to go back and try all of the tacos!! :) also- both the corn and the flour tacos were so good I would definitely try both!!

Our son goes to Penn State and has been raving about this new place since it opened. We were doing a summer shopping visit and decided we had to try Carter's Table for lunch. IT WAS DELICIOUS!!! Very friendly service, but wowwww the food is amazing!! I highly recommend the taco flight so you can try 3 different tacos. The shrimp (Fridays only), chicken or pork verde...everything is fresh and So Colorful! Serving size was generous and we left happy and pleasantly full. Carter's Table is a can't miss!

Carter's has the best Mexican food in State College, without question. The flavors are fresh, the service is quick, and the store is clean and tidy. The menu is small, but each option is packed with flavor. It's really an ideal lunch spot and I recommend it highly!

Small place with very yummy food! Tried the Thai barbecue tacos... to die for!! My son enjoyed the Buffalo chicken tacos too. Highly recommend!!

Visiting our daughter and her family she suggested we try the new taco shop. It's not a taqueria, it's Sean the owners own style. A little Mexican, a little fusion, a lot of great flavors. Coming from California it's hard to find a great substitute when you head East. Sean has nailed his flavors! Our favorites were the pork and chile lime chicken, but they were all delicious. We will definitely return on our next visit. Best of luck to Sean and his crew!!

Delicious tacos. Quick service. You won't find tacos like this anywhere else in state college! Not to mention I am a big fan of the playlist they had on. Only upset that they opened right before I graduate.

Carter's Table was amazing! Husband and I had a lunch date to try out what everyone has been raving about. Did not disappoint. We tried the Brisket Quesadilla and had a flight of three tacos: Thai BBQ Chicken, pork, and lamb. All delicious, though my personal favorite was the quesadilla. Really great service and quick food times. Shawn and his team were friendly and interested in our feedback. Very highly recommend. Will be back! P.S.the mural on the wall is awesome and painted by a PSU alumn. Very cool!
