Carthay Circle Lounge

The atmosphere was perfect. while the lounge is on the ground floor, it is tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the park allowing for a nice quiet reset to enjoy tasty bites and a cocktail. We had two kids with us and they were welcomed in the lounge. If you're not super hungry, I recommend ordering a number of appetizers to share with the table. the backstage and sopes were our favorite.

Carthay Circle Lounge is an absolute must! Absolutely delicious food from start to finish. We began with the spring rolls—so good—and then the lettuce wraps and bao buns arrived… WOW. Completely blown away! Those two were hands-down our favorites. Incredible flavor, beautiful presentation, and every bite felt special. The ambiance was over the top in the best way—elegant, festive, and welcoming. We also had excellent seating in the perfect spot to catch the end of a parade and watch the Christmas tree lighting, which made the experience even more magical. Everything about this visit was exceptional. We will absolutely be returning—this is officially a new favorite in our happiest place on earth!

It’s a reservation-only spot, perfect for a park day lunch. The portions are just right—not too big and not too small—so you can keep enjoying your walk without feeling overly full. The flavors are fresh and well-balanced, and the service is attentive and friendly

The first thing I wanted to highlight is that if you're reserving the lounge, be aware that at least half of the seating is outside. It is mostly covered, but there will be areas that are in direct sunlight. If it's hot out, you will still going to be hot. It's also clear that people will sit inside longer if it's hot out and the Disney way is not to press that issue. Apart from that, the food was good, although a bit pricey for what it was (which others have mentioned). Our server was quick, kind and informative as the vast majority of customer facing cast members tend to be. This is an issue with the way Disney manages things here (and it seems to be a bit different than the East Coast) and they should make very clear when you make a reservation that there is a strong possibility that you will be seated outdoors. The Soy Glazed Salmon with Soba Noodles and Cashew Cucumber Salsa was amazing. The salmon was melt in your mouth tender, and the sauce was delicious & balanced. We reserved beforehand but it took about 10-20 minutes more to be seated.

We have dined at Carthay Circle many times but never at the lounge downstairs. We very much enjoyed it. I had The North African Roasted Organic Chicken Breast and Jovita had The Moroccan Roasted Chicken Meatballs. Both dishes were savory and delicious with good flavors. For our drinks she had Berry Lemonade and I had a Bloody Mary and a Disney 70th draft IPA. We both had ice water as well. We love coming here!

We reserved that morning for a lounge spot and thought it'd be overpriced or too fancy, but it was the best meal I've had in both Disneyland resort and DCA. For an extra few dollars, I thought the food and drink quality was top notch. All their drinks are doubles. The chicken (while it's a protein I don't usually order) was extremely juicy and fresh. The kid's chicken skewers was devoured by my daughter (and she barely eats anything). I think the Vietnamese lettuce wrap was the star of the meal. I wound up putting the extra chicken and other bits into the butter lettuce and cross dipping sauces. I'd come here just for the drinks, but it was all delicious. French onion soup is fantastic. Shout out to Jacob who steered us in the right direction and was so lovely with suggestions and small talk. Can't wait to come visit again!

What a lovely place in DCA to feel a little grown up just steps away from the fun cartoons atmosphere. The decor is on the elegant side but without feeling stuffy. We sat inside the lounge without reservations. Had flavorful appetizers and cocktails. My double pear martini was light and refreshing. Carthay Sopes with Duck was very tender and you don't taste a gamey meat. Spring Rolls with crab was light and not too filling despite the large portion size. The hazelnut Mickey ice cream was delicious! I'll be back every time I go to DCA.

One of the best places to get food at California Adventure (CA)! Don't get me wrong, CA has a bunch of great food options, some are probably better than Carthay. However, it is the extra "amenities" that make this a must visit during any trip to CA. AC AC AC! This is a huge bonus, especially on those bright hot socal days. Book a reservation in advance anywhere between 1pm - 5pm. You'll thank me later!! Perfect place to escape for an hour or two with indoor AC! Note: they do have outdoor tables but just request an indoor seat. Bathroom: one of if not THE cleanest bathroom in all of disney parks! Cocktails and Alcohol! Some of the best drinks in the park. A wide variety of interesting and tasty drinks! Food: Overall pretty good. The spanish prawns were a big hit (very vinegary) as well as the soup. Overall decent (4/5).

It took me a few years and a few times to finally get a reservation for this place. I didnt necessarily hear rave reviews for this place, but I had to try it since its one of the nicer sit down places at California Adventure. You check in with the cast member in front of Carthay Circle where they confirm your reservation and you wait to be seated. I had a reservation at 5:45 and I wasn't seated until 6:15. 30 minute wait even with my reservation....I love how they have the outdoor seating area to take in the sights and sounds of the park. It was a tad unfortunate that I went during Halloween as i was just hearing the same shrieking noises instead of nice music. I also didnt love that its more a tapas type sharable place, but of course i knew that before going in. I ended up ordering the Moroccan Chicken meatballs, Vietnamese twice cooked beef lettuce wraps, beef skewers, rose petal soda, and wildberry lemonade. It was a hit and miss. The chicken meatballs were fantastic. Two moist meatballs topped with a cream sauce and a salsa type dressing at the bottom. It was a nice pairing of acidic and creaminess. The beef skewers were cooked well albeit a bit salty. They also gave you 3 skewers which is better than I had expected. The twice cooked beef lettuce wraps were meh. Way too salty. The rose petal soda had no rose in there so I had to ask for more and the wildberry lemonade is about what you would expect. Lastly, the service was really average. Barely got a refill on water and it took a while for our food to come out. Overall, the prices are steep for what you get and the experience is just not worth coming back for.

ESPRESSO MARTINI FTW We always stop here on our Disney trips to rest up with a nice strong cocktail and snacks. Full bar with the best martinis- my fav is the espresso and the pear one! PROS: - air conditioned indoor rooms - comfy chairs - clean restrooms - wall outlet plug to charge phone - best ESPRESSO MARTINI here - cheese plate is the best thing to order (ask for extra crackers). Also their kids meal quesadilla is my go to order trust me it's fancy tortilla and comes with fruit CONS - food is pricey for the appetizer size but you're in Disneyland and it's fine dining quality so suck it up buttercup lol! - there's usually a wait (I always make reservations thru my Disney app) avoid the spring roll w/ spicy crab it was not fresh and tasted horrible Great spot to relax let the kids take a nap or have some screen time while the adults enjoy a drink or two!

During a visit to California Adventure Park, I had the pleasure of dining at one of the restaurants, and it was an incredible experience from start to finish! The restaurant is super clean and has a very elegant atmosphere, making it a perfect spot to relax and enjoy a meal. The service was excellent--attentive and friendly throughout our visit, ensuring we had everything we needed. The food was equally delicious, with every dish we tried exceeding our expectations. The drinks were fantastic as well, perfectly complementing the meal. Overall, it was an awesome experience dining here, and I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting California Adventure Park!

Made reservations for the lounge around 430pm. It was a really hot day so I had hoped to be in the ac. Admittedly the reservation was for Al fresco dining so I should have known better. The espresso martinis were on point. I really loved the meatballs. I wish there was more menu items that weren't seafood, but my friends enjoyed everything!

This is the place to stop in for a drink and a snack while in the park. It's comfortable and the drinks are top notch! We absolutely loved everything we had and the drinks are super high quality. The Irish coffee was our favorite, the cream on top made the drink so smooth when mixed together.

I was impressed by this place. Granted, I didn't have the highest expectations. The service was friendly and professional. The food was okay - but the drinks and pours were great. Good spot if you want to relax with A/C and have a decent sit down meal.

Nice place to escape the park for a bite to eat and a drink. It's a very comfortable lounge and the air felt great with it being a hot summer day. I ordered a glass of Chardonnay and the ratatouille. Was a nice little app to hold me over till dinner. Service was great as well.

SO FANCY. Oh my god. When I saw that reservations were available, I HAD to book them. I know this isn't the full on dining experience (fingers crossed that I can do that one day), but the alfresco dining is a must at DCA if you've never done it before. Being in the lounge, the ambiance, and using the fancy restrooms alone is enough to make it worth it. There's a fancy old timey looking elevator that goes up to the second floor where the main dining is and we got a glimpse of that room and it looks like something straight out of the Great Gatsby. Would love to actually dine there one day. Honestly, since we just finished snacking at Lamplight Lounge AND we were doing food and wine, the most we could do was grab a snack and a quick drink. My friend got a Mai Tai. I got the: 1) Rose Petal Soda: -This is sparkling water flavored with rose essence and garnished with a fancy, edible sugar glazed rose petal on top. -Very light pink in color. It's a nice delicate carbonated drink that isn't too sweet nor artificial tasting. If you like rose flavored things, get this. 2) Filet Mignon Beef Skewers: -This came with 3 skewers with decent sized chunks of beef filet mignon. -The beef was super tender and moist. Melt in your mouth deliciousness that went great with the aji amarillo sauce drizzled on top. -There were some tasty Peruvian stewed beans to enjoy with this dish as well. I think my only qualm was that there was so many cast members working but there was only one that was delegated to our section and it was very difficult to flag them down so that we can pay? Yet there were many that were standing at the cash register at the front of the lounge, bizarre, but the overall bougie-ness of the place was enough to overlook that small nitpick. Def worth trying at least once!

Love this place for a great cocktail, light meal, best cheese board around, beautiful atmosphere, and exceptional service! It truly is one of my favorite places to dine on property. 60 days out from your trip, you can book dining so don't forget to look for a reservation. If you don't have one, I recommend arriving at 11am when they open to attempt a walk up. I've been very successful with getting in with a walk up, but they do fill up quick! Best martinis so you don't want to miss out on your next Disney trip! Shout out to Jessica, Aaron, and Maggie for being amazing bartenders! I've gone solo many times and had great conversation at the bar.

Upscale food for a Disney resort = good food = higher prices. All the dishes came out in small portions, so sharing is for tasting and filling your tummies. Luckily, there's plenty of foods around the park to try that kept our tummies pretty full all day. Stopping here was a perk. With 2 kids dishes, 5 regular dishes, 2 desserts, plus an alcoholic drink and soda, the cost was over $200. Price was a bit high, but we lucked out having great seating for the parade! All the food was great. Service was great. Quick to serve. Loved every bit of our dining experience. Would we go back? Most likely if we want to view the parade while we enjoy our treats. Tip: Reserve your dining time around parade time and ask for the patio area. You will get a special view of the parade without the crowds.

What a wonderful weekend at Disney California Adventure with my lovely bf! And what better way to enjoy the park than getting good food and drinks hehe. I did a quick Google search looking for the best ranked sit down restaurant, and this was listed as number one, boy am I glad I came and tried out this place, thank you random internet stranger! Food: we picked out random dishes that sounded good to us. To start off, carthay manhattan drink was super smooth and barely burned as it went down, aromatic and perfect amount of sweetness. The baos were great with juicy tender pork bellies, sauce was great combo of sweet and salty and soy sauce umami. The lettuce wrap was also a treat, ground beef seasoning was perfect and paired so well with fresh butter lettuce. Pasta however was subpar, it tasted overcooked and the sauce was very mild and bland without much flavor, I'd suggest you skip this one Price: $16-22 per appetizer and $22-26 per entree, see menu picture for details, pricy but understandably so since it's located inside the park Ambiance: old Hollywood vibes, feels sorta like 1920s upper class Gatsby theme, which we thought was very elegant and classy. The bathrooms are located upstairs and so very clean. The place itself is very spacious, we were seated inside thankfully, not very crowded at all, and we felt very relaxed during the whole meal Service: amazing service, the waiter gave great recommendations, especially with the drink menu. He was so kind and welcoming, very attentive. Didn't rush us at all even though we took some time after lunch to sit and talk Parking: big Disneyland parking structure, just remember where you parked at the end of the day!

The food was so tasty! The portions are definitely more tapa-esque if you will be everything was delicious. Many of the items could be accommodated gluten free, which was a plus. The waitstaff were awesome as well & very patient with our littles who were too excited to sit still for lunch. The inside of the restaurant is also beautiful, including the restrooms. Oh & they have a great selection of cocktails, wine & beer.

Carthay Circle almost always has reservations booked up, you can try your luck with the waitlist and walk in though, and boy were we lucky. This lounge/restaurant is probably what Mr. Gatsby enjoyed back in his day. The ambiance is classy, the food is fancy, and the drink is intoxicating. So my gf and I shared a Manhattan that went down smoother than the drop at Guardians of the Galaxy. We could barely taste any of the burn with the alcohol here. It was also just some pretty good flavors all around. The bao buns with pork belly were surprisingly good, pork belly was tender and savory and everything came together to make a fairly decent bao. The Vietnamese lettuce wrap with beef was also surprisingly good. The beef was so nice and tender and all the sauces and flavors just combined to make for another great appetizer The stron.... Whatever pasta was probably the least amazing out of all the food we got. It's a little bland tho the pasta itself was unique. The sauce and cheese felt too light and bland though, but hey, it filled our carb needs up. So all in all, this is a great spot in California Adventure if you can get lucky enough to snag a spot. Probably one of the best dining options you can get within California Adventure if not Disneyland as a whole.

Made a Reservation as soon as we figured out the day we will be at California Adventure which was about a month and a half before We have always tried to get in but it's always booked. It was a beautiful day outside so we chose to sit out in the terrace. We loved seeing the trolley come by and especially loved hearing the Five and Dime Group singing and playing next to us! We order a bottle of red wine and I tried Pimm's Punch( which I loved!). The lunch menu consisted of small bites that were shareable. We had Moroccan Roasted Chicken Meatballs, BaoBuns of Soy-Ginger Braided Pork Belly, Spanish Roasted Shrimp and Filet Mignon Beef Skewers. We all agreed the everything was wonderful! It's a nice change from typical park food! I definitely recommend coming here! We will be back soon!

The dried apricot salsa for the salmon plate was PHENOMENAL!! The salmon was cooked perfectly. Definitely order the Achiote Glazed Salmon; it was the star of the night. The server we had was Sarina and she was great! Sarina was polite, nice, attentive and very informative. The restaurant is located near the entrance of the park so it's easy to find. We sat outside in the patio so we had a perfect view of the live jazz and Halloween night lights!

We had the best waitress, Holly, serve us. 5/5 stars alone for her working Disney magic! Her attention to detail was meticulous, and she made sure we felt special even though she was juggling many tables. The lounge seating area is plush and definitely gives you that old Hollywood feel. Also, they had the fanciest restroom I've ever been in inside of Disneyland/Disney California! For our party of four, we were seated around a small round table, so there was not much table space for all of our food. The food was delicious! Portions are not huge but they are definitely shareable. My favorite dishes we ordered were the bao buns with braised pork belly and the Vietnamese beef lettuce wraps. They were packed with juicy tender flavors. What I liked: - Strong and yummy cocktails - Amazing service! The staff really go out of their way to make the experience enjoyable and memorable. - A variety of flavorful food. - Character sightings! While we were eating, we saw Mickey, Minnie, and Donald walk by. - Also, for all my ladies, they provide FREE tampons and pads inside the ladies restroom!!

Probably the best place in the park. Once you are settled in outside you can really enjoy some people watching and a nice cocktail without a gummy worm in it. This place isn't so special that it isn't plagued by Disneys horrible dining reservation system. Places are always "Full" even though they're empty and the servers aren't making any money...speaking from 10 + years of experience. Be slightly pushy, otherwise you will never get a seat. Like when you're told it's a 45 minute wait and it is like 5 minutes or 5 seconds. This is definitely the best spot, tasting terrace used to be but was ruined when it was turned into a key holder spot( speaking as a key holder)

The Carthay Circle Lounge is an absolute gem. Hidden in plain sight in the heart of California Adventure, the lounge is an oasis in a sea of chaos. It features a stacked menu of upscale appetizers and even a few entrees along with an extensive wine and cocktail list. The décor perfectly captures the Golden Age Hollywood vibe and leaves you feeling like a black and white film star, if only until you remember the Mickey ears and matching Disney family trip shirt you are probably wearing. On our most recent visit my wife and I enjoyed a relaxing respite, sipping a glass of wine and nibbling away at our cheese board until it was time to rejoin the rest of the group for another round of rides. While the full Carthay Circle restaurant requires reservations far in advance, the lounge seems to be far less crowded. Both times I've been we just walked up or put our names on the waitlist using the app and were able to be seated within 10 minutes. If you are in need of a reprieve from a long day exploring California Adventure, or even if you just want a quick feeling of refinement and maturity after wading through the sea of children and strollers in the park, find your way down to the Carthay Circle Lounge.

Loved carthay circle at Disney! The food was really incredibly well done and prices reasonable for an adult experience within a place you can be a kid. I didn't order drinks but I heard they are very good here. I got the meatballs and baos which were just two small plates but they kept me full until dinner. I fully enjoyed my walk in experience for lunch and highly recommend if you are able to swing the prices and the stop over. The alfresco patio allowed patrons to hear the five and dime group singing and swinging and was just a joy and great experience.

It was a hot three days in the Disney parks and I was on the fence about keeping our reservation because we knew the food was pricey. We ended up keeping it as we had never been, and we are so glad we did! 1. The air conditioned lounge was a welcome reprieve from the HEAT 2. They were able to honor seating us earlier than our reservation time (again it was SO hot and we had 3 young children). 3. The service, decor, cocktails and food were wonderful. The server took great care of us: gave us park tips, brought me a small drink sample of one that I heard was popular there, and overall was so accommodating with our party of 7. Even with smaller cocktail tables, the seats were leather and comfy. Pleasantly delighted with our experience and would come again!

I can't count how many times we've been here and we absolutely love this place. If you're looking for a reservation you need to plan at least a month ahead. We regularly join the walk up queue through the mobile app but you're gotta be in proximity of the doors for it to work. The food is delicious, this was my first time trying the Crab Cake, hands down the best one I've ever had. The drinks are strong, the atmosphere gives you a rest from the park, and the staff are top notch. This place is absolutely worth it if you can get in.

What an amazing escape from running around the park! Our waitress Holly was absolutely wonderful and made our experience at California adventure one of the best yet!

We had a very low expectation for a restaurant inside the park.... Oh my were we surprised. We walked up with no reservation and were seated at the bar. We made fast friends with Leroy and Katie the bartenders and discussed a number of things. We ended up ordering spicy crab spring rolls, filet mignon skewers and North African Chicken. All of it was amazing. The star of the show was the North African Roasted Organic Chicken Breast. The flavors were amazing with earthy and savory notes. This spot is a little bit of a hidden gem if you are looking to stay in the park for dinner and beverages in the park this is a great spot.

The set-up of restaurant inside is nice, very different than other restaurants in disneyland/DCA but I wasn't much of a fan on the taste of the food in its entirety. I would say for small bites, it would be good but not so much as for lunch dining. We ordered malai kofta potato (mushy but the tomato sauce surrounding it was great), moroccan roasted chicken meatballs (great choice out of all the appetizers we got) and bao buns of soy-ginger braised pork belly (salty and spicy separately when tasted but not blending in together) for appetizers then filet mignon beef skewers (it's alright for me but my partner thinks so otherwise) for main.

Located in Disney California Adventure came here for my early bday. We were seated outside with a pretty good view of Hollywood Blvd. we got to see the Christmas tree light up as well. The staff here was great and friendly. I got the Strozzaprerti Pasta which was good we also got the Holiday Red Velvet Hot chocolate w/ 2 whoopie pies it was also good. Overall a good experience here. Also it's best to get a reservation early if you know what day you are planning to go cause it's tough to get a reservation on the app. You also may get lucky as a walk in but do go early.

Not that impressive and was disappointed with the overall experience. We were seated near the bathrooms which I didnt like and it took a good 30 min before someone came by and took our orders. Food was not that great - especially the portion size. Its more like shared appetizers but you will end up spending like 80 bucks for 2 people and still leave hungry. We tried the salmon, the curried potatoes, and the tzatziki meatball. Theres so many places that have better food.

After a long day at the parks, we thought a nice little break for a couple of cocktails sounded lovely. I kept checking the Disneyland app and grabbed a last-minute afternoon reservation at Carthay Circle Lounge. This is one of those places where Disney could do SO MUCH BETTER, but they just don't put in enough effort. This replica of a very important theater in Walt Disney's legendary history should be more of a showpiece of California Adventure park, but instead it just kind of bland. The decor looks like an old Holiday Inn lobby and feels worn out. I wish there was more theming to make it feel more magical. THE BAD: * The lounge is nondescript and generic. The lighting is far too bright, and there's nothing "special" about the setting. The Imagineers need to put some thought into this place. * The prices are extremely high, especially for the food. The cocktails run around $18-$20, which is the norm in a "nicer" bar. But the food is ridiculously overpriced, with very small portions that are laughable. * The food is supposedly shareable, but the portions are so small that one person would need at least 3 to make a decent meal / snack. The curry potato dumplings ($16) had three extremely small bites with a watery and bland sauce. The chilled shrimp ($20) was good, but again, just three shrimp! The beef lettuce wraps ($16) were the most flavorful, but the portion was again far too tiny (especially for the price). See my photos with a fork in the pic for a comparison. * I couldn't pass up a Brandy Alexander ($15.25), which is one of my favorite old timey drinks. Sadly, I found it to be lacking in all aspects. The bartenderforgot the nutmeg, and the serving size was about 3 sips. I do not recommend this cocktail. * Hubby also tried the signature Tequila Daisy ($19.50) cocktail and really hated it. He said it was just too sweet and had a weird taste. THE GOOD: * Fun menu of retro cocktails! We love Manhattans and Sidecars, and the lounge had two very good ones. The Manhattan ($19.50) was elegant and large, and hubby said extremely tasty. My Sidecar ($18) was excellent, with a lovely sugar rim and a pretty lemon twist. * Discounts for Magic Key holders on the food (yay!) but not on the drinks (boo!). The discount was only 10% for us with a Believe Key, but I guess saving something is better than nothing. * They accept Disney gift cards for payment, so spend 'em if ya got 'em. OVERALL: I mean, you're a captive audience at Disneyland, so this is one of the better cocktail menus in the parks. I would return to the Carthay Circle Lounge, but I certainly wouldn't order food again.

Definitely a must try if you're at CA Adventures. I had been eyeing this place for months and finally was able to get on the walk up list as soon as they opened it. Inside feels really nice and festive with the holiday decor. The food was okay, nothing to rave about. The drinks are yummy and sneak up on you. The service was also great! Our waiter was extremely friendly and attentive.

i found a reservation for 6:30 on the day of (while i was at the park) so of course i had to book it! i arrived early to ask for terrace seating so my friends and i could watch the parade and it was perfect! the upstairs restaurant is separate from the downstairs restaurant (two separate menus) so we ordered two appetizers to share and watch the pixar parade and sunset! service was excellent! my absolute favorite was the spanish yukon croquettes which is a MUST TRY!!!!

The WORST PLACE on earth!!! Horrible experience!!!! If you want to be sure you have the absolutely worst experience in ALL of Disneyland, visit the Carthay Circle lounge and be sure to ask for the supervisor Meg!!! She will ensure you have the absolute worst experience possible. We were literally 4 minutes late for our reservation (because the park is JAMMED busy with grad night), so we walked to our reservation leisurely through the crowds from the main park. Checking in exactly 4 minutes late we were refused service and told we cannot be seated. DO NOT COME TO THIS PLACE!!!!!

Carthay Circle Lounge offers tapas-style food and drinks. We were running late due being stuck on Soarin', and I attempted to call to let them know. There was only a recording and then I was promptly disconnected. Arrived 15 minutes late (couldn't check in via the mobile app) and they said it "should be ok". WTH. Anyway, after waiting around for ten minutes, they sat us. I didn't know there was a Carthay Circle lounge and Carthay Circle restaurant when I made my reservations and thought we were dining at the restaurant. Unfortunately, the kitchens are different so I could not order off the restaurant menu either. Half of the food was just plain awful. The crab cake was fishy and mushy. The lack of a crispy pan sear is obvious even in the picture. The pork belly buns were swimming in grease. The picture doesn't show how bad it was because it was mostly sopped up by the bun! The duck pozole was unique and a solid dish. The salmon was super small, but cooked perfectly. Our server was great. We let him know we were in the virtual queue for world of color and he made sure we got our food and drink ASAP. The seating here is odd. The tables are knee height when you're seated (and I'm short!) so it's awkward to eat. Would be better if they changed it to high top tables and stools/chairs. I would not return to the lounge.

Food was pretty good but overpriced. Enjoyed the drinks too! Liked eating outside and watching street performers and characters pass by. North African chicken and tumeric rice. The chicken was a little salty on the outside but otherwise good. Needed a lil more seasoning too. Loved the tumeric rice. Wish the rice portion was bigger. Steak skewer was too small of a portion and a lil overcooked. Didn't like beans. Rice would have been better Kid said pasta was okay. Barely ate any though. Liked the twin bill and Shirley temple!

This magnificent place is a replica of an iconic theatre from Hollywood's golden age. I wish they never knocked down the original!! Some of the fixtures were recreated from the original company that created the lights for the theatre. You will find like you are stepping into the old Hollywood era of glamor. The walls are surrounded with picture of Walt Disney and many stars accepting their academy awards. Glamor glamor glamor all the way around! The food was delicious! So happy we came here to rest our tired feet.

Came here for a quick drinks for my Disney visit. This place never fail to impress you with the amount of alcohol in their drinks! Got the mojito this time and it tastes great! Very refreshing, and I love how friendly the staff are!

Jessica from Diamond Bar Ca. and Greg from Huntington Beach Ca. are just.....the best bartenders tha I have come across here. They have great information about Disney and all of the parks around the world. They also make the dining and drinking experience so much fun!

Was it over priced? Yes, I feel like the chicken dinner at the plaza inn gets you more bang for your buck. Was it delicious? Yes at least what I ordered. I enjoyed the chicken meatballs but loved the Vietnamese beef wraps! My friends ordered the bao buns (sorry no picture) they loved it. I liked it too but felt that the flavors in my two dishes were better. I'm not a crabcake person. I tasted it but wouldnt order it. The cheeseboard was underwhelming. The lounge is clean. The restroom is spotless. We had good service too. We were walk ins and they accomodated by sitting us indoor. It was super hot and they were not busy because it was a Wednesday. I knocked down a star because I think it's pricey for what you in fact get.

Good drinks but I wouldn't get food here again. We got the salmon and crab cake and I wasn't impressed by the portion size or flavor. I did get a double pear martini and that was amazing !

I hate writing negative reviews, but my experience at Cathay circle was not a good one. The service wasn't the best and I was surprised because we are at Disney California Adventure and they have excellent service. The food was okay, but the seating was the uncomfortable part. If you plan on having a meal in the lounge area, Don't! You will be bending over to eat. I didn't know I had the option to move to a higher table top until I heard this couple ask. We had to ask for twice for napkins and silverware and by the time they brought them to our table, my sister and I were almost done with our food.

On the Disneyland app, this place is referred to as the "Carthay Circle Lounge - Alfresco Dining" (I'll submit a business edit request to Yelp to see if it can be changed). We actually thought we had a table reserved at the Carthay Circle Restaurant, but they are totally separate spaces within the same building. Since it was THE hottest day in America on 09.04.2022, the restaurant actually stopped alfresco service and seated guests downstairs in the lounge. Of course we didn't mind the air conditioning! Due to the Halloween Time theme both at Disney and CA Adventure, you're sure to find Halloween-themed treats at most every eatery. I opted for the "Poison Appletini" here at the lounge, which was topped off with a lighted skull. Turns out, I didn't like the taste of the drink....it was way too strong! So, our waiter obliged and swapped it out with "Pimm's Punch", which was more my cup of tea. Yum! The Summer Salad and Bao Buns of Soy-Ginger Braised Pork Belly we're both excellent and would order again! Glad our visit ended up at the lounge for some adult beverages and appetizers instead of a full blown dinner experience. We probably would not have been able to fit in the birrira tacos and Michelada's from Cucina Cucamonga at the pier. Onto the next foodie adventure at Disney!! Coming with?? ;-)

Excellent place to go to cool off on a hot day! Tora M. made us a 3:30PM reservation for us and we were seated fairly quickly. Look for the Hidden Mickey on the flooring outside while you wait! This restaurant is located in Disney California Adventure Park, so a park ticket & reservation are needed to dine here. Although the restaurant takes walk-ins, it is probably better to have a reservation. Our reservation was for the alfresco dining, so I thought we'd be seated outside, but thankfully, we were seated inside where it was much cooler!! The A/C is cranked up, yay!! When we checked-in, the hostess told us we could wait out front. After a minute or two, I took a peek inside and opted for the coolness and took a spot on the empty loveseat just inside the door. It was a hot day, so the A/C was more than calling to me!! I was very indecisive about what to get, so the server came several times before we finally ordered. We opted for the Strozzapreti Pasta and the Moroccan Roasted Chicken Meatballs. Both were very tasty! I think it would be a bonus if this restaurant would consider adding a Pasta & Meat(balls) combo. We shared these two shareable plates, so we basically created our own pasta & meatball combo. The pasta didn't have a lot of sauce on it. I prefer mine saucy. I was going to ask for some Red Chili Flakes, but to my surprise, one of the two items had a little heat to it, so all was good! If you are concerned the alcoholic drinks are pricey, these drinks are on the strong side. We ordered the same drink... the Brandy Alexander. It is a cold drink with Brandy, Dark Crème de Cacao, Cream and Nutmeg. To me, it reminded me of an unblended Mudslide! It was super tasty, but a tad too much Brandy for me! Whoa!! To finish off our meal, we split the Hazelnut Crunch Mickey Pop. It was very delicious and the Hazelnut Crunch made it decadent! It's neat to see nostalgic pictures of Walt in his land... Disneyland! Be sure to go upstairs since there are more pictures there also.

Wonderful service and great drinks! The food options are all appetizer/tapas style during lunch. The food was alright, but I would definitely recommend the baos! Was pleasantly surprised by the flavors. I would definitely want to come back here for dinner since the upstairs dining area looks beautiful.

Carthay is located at the end of Buena Vista St in the Disney Adventure Park. You need both a park ticket, park reservation, and usually a dining reservation to eat here. There is both lounge seating and the upstairs dining, which have slightly different menus. The lounge has Vietnamese beef that I like and that I think is the best thing on the menu. Pricing is on the higher end for Disney Adventure Park restaurants but it's still worth a visit!

I've been meaning to write this review for some time. CA Adventures is our go to Disney park. We took my baby niece there for the first time and made reservations at Carthay Circle for Alfresco dining. First of all, the location is so nice. It's nice patio seating, and we had a prime view of the five and dime performance which was perfect for my niece, who loves music and dancing. The food was great. We ordered the chicken meatballs, which were very delicious, well seasoned, and filling, the charcuterie board, which had a nice variety of cheeses, dried fruit, pecans, and jam, and wine. We also ordered the kid's meal pineapple chicken for my niece, which she enjoyed and it came with a side of fruit. The best part was the service. Fabian was our waiter, and he was very attentive and friendly. And then basically every employee who passed by us said hi, asked us how we were doing, played peek a boo with my niece, and even provided us with more crackers without us asking for more. Just a great vibe and wonderful staff. I tried to write down as many names as I could so I could provide positive feedback but truly it was every single staff member there who interacted with us and made it so special. It was a great location too with delicious food! Would recommend to anyone.

The food here was delicious! Tapas style food with flavorful selections. My personal favorite was the North African Organic Roasted Chicken Breast. Delicious spices and the chicken was cooked to perfection. This place is definitely worth your time at California Adventure!

LOVE!!! Not to be confused with the restaurant upstairs...Carthay Lounge Alfresco is downstairs and I'd always pick this as my favorite place in all of Disneyland or DCA. The craft cocktails are the bomb and yes they are pricey, but nice strong pour and the bartenders really know their stuff. One of my personal faves is Pimm's Cocktail, along with Double Pear Martini and Brandy Alexander! A tidbit, Walt's fave drink was/is called Scotch Mist. The food... I almost love it all! Yes pricey and yes Spanish tapas style with even the larger entrees a bit pricey and smaller, but the taste and quality is there! Faves: Moroccan Ch Meatballs and whatever the seasonal stone fruit and berry salad is. Not my personal fave but I know that most people love the Bao Buns with Pork Belly and the Vietnamese Beef Lettuce Wraps, which does pack some heat! Your desserts are very limited but I do recommend the Caramel Popcorn Ice Cream Sundae. There is a very small kids menu but I cannot recommend or not recommend. Hopefully your children are a bit older with a better palate and can share with you! Ambience is terrific and nice and cool in heat of summer, with a darker feel to it, think old school Hollywood. There is small outside patio so you can people watch but that can get quite toasty! Service is some of the best and we adore Holly who has been here since opening, remember to tip your server well! We've heard rumors that some people feel that they have paid so much for lounge or their trip to Disney that they feel they can leave a lousy tip. Pro Tip: Key Holders get discount but not on alcohol. The menu changes seasonally and reservations are required, via Disney app or online.

Fabulous food and experience. The kids meals were big enough to feed nine-year-old child and not still be hungry. Still leftovers after. chairs were comfortable. Tables were a little short in awkward. Food was delicious. Did not order drinks.

So worth it for the drinks. We had reservations that we managed to get 60days out so we had great seats. We went for lunch and my absolute favorite thing was the Tequila Daisy. We ordered the following Filet Mignon Beef Skewers 9 out of 10. It was cooked to a perfect Medium Rare. The sauce was very flavorful. Bao Bun: 8 out of 10. The bun was a bit soggy on one side and hard on the other side but overall the flavor was so so good. Chicken meatballs 4 out of 10. It didn't really do anything for me. It was meh. We didn't even eat the 2nd meatball. Tequila Daisy: 15 out of 10. One of the best drinks I've ever had. Of you like tequila then this is a must!!!! Wildberry lemonade: 10 out of 10. Not too sour and not too sweet. Just the right balance. Service was great. Bathrooms clean. Overall vibe was lovely.

Hands down the best place for drinks at Disneyland. Getting a reservation can be a bit difficult but it's always worth it. If you can't get a reso, it is absolutely worth stalking the walk up list on the app. No trip to DCA is complete without drinks at Carthay Circle lounge for me. My favorite drinks include the double pear martini, the mojito and the Bloody Mary. The Carthay martini, espresso martini and white linen are other notables. Favorite foods are the pork bao buns & the tacos (before they were lettuce wrap tacos). Sitting in the lounge/bar area is the best place to be. It just doesn't hit the same sitting in the common area or outside.
