"Caruso's, located inside The Rosewood Miramar Beach hotel, meets all the criteria for a perfect sunset restaurant: it faces west (essential), the entire space is outdoors, and it sits on its own private beach. Plus, the white tablecloth-covered tables are spaced out so you won’t be elbow-to-elbow as you watch the sun melt below the horizon. As you might expect from a tasting menu coastal Californian restaurant owned by LA billionaire power-broker Rick Caruso, the classic pastas and seafood dishes here are plated like they have their own stylists. The prix-fixe menu comes with four courses, including dessert, for $165 per person, and as a bonus, you just might be seated next to a Real Housewife of Beverly Hills dining with her actual friends off-camera. If you're looking for a place to get dressed up for a romantic dinner and don’t mind a splurge, Caruso's is it." - Nikko Duren

The wife and I were looking for some place to eat supper while we were in Mooresville and I had heard of Caruso's and said lets try them out. Call for reservations! We got fortunate and the lovely hostess took care of us and got us a table. All I can say it was an awesome experience from start to finish. The fresh bread and sauce was wonderful. The wife got the Salmon and she said it was spectacular and I got the Rack of Lamb and it did not disappoint. Our waitress Lisa was great and treated us like we have been going there for years. If you are looking for a great Italian restaurant, Caruso's is the place to go. 5 stars start to finish, and we look forward to going back.

We have been here maybe 4-5 times over the past 3 years. The food and service is always amazing. My wife and I took my parents to Caruso’s last night for my mother’s birthday and although the food and service were great, we were extremely disappointed with the portion size. The service was amazing as always. The taste of food was great as usual. The portion size was significantly smaller than the previous times we were there. I understand the price of food has gone up but this is unacceptable. We ordered an appetizer of Calamari for $22 to split with 4 people and there were maybe 10 pieces? My wife got a pasta dish with scallops and shrimp which was $40. She got barely any pasta, 2 pieces of shrimp and 2 pieces of scallops. Very disappointed.

We had a nice Italian meal here, it is fairly expensive. My husband and daughter loved their food, the Florentine and the Papparedelle with Vodka sauce. I ordered the Milanese, which, in my opinion, was just okay. I feel like it was something I could have made at home and not worth the $34. It's a good place to go for a special occasion but for me, not a place I'd frequent.

Maybe I was expecting too much. There was a peculiar smell when we walked in. Being from Chicago with excellent upscale Italian restaurants, I was extremely disappointed. A very unusual Italian menu and they really have a thing for buffalo mozzarella. It may be an acquired taste, but a tad overpowering to me. The decor needs help. Trying to be classy. But cheaply done. I will say, the service was great! Will not be going back.

Oh my Goodness... We can't believe we've been living in Mooresville and not knowing about this place!! It's our new favorite place... italien at its best. Fresh, tasty, and exceptional customer service. 10/10... You need to live this experience!! Worth the drive if you're not from the area. We went again. Consistency in the overall experience, quality of food, and service. The Server was super nice and helped choose a good bottle of wine. We love the coziness of the place. We added desserts this time, delicious!

It has been awhile since we have gone to Caruso’s but let me tell you it is still great. We decided to start with the burrata. The tomato was perfectly ripe and the cheese very tender and creamy. We then ordered the figs marinated in Grand Marnier with whipped ricotta. They were so flavorful, tender, and savory not too sweet. I asked for them to add some prosciutto which commented it perfectly. I always appreciate a restaurant open to customer desires! We then had the veal chop special with sausage and peppers. Again very tender and cooked perfectly. We ended with affogato. One of my favorite deserts and Caruso’s always nails it.

This was our first visit to Caruso’s. We wanted to have a romantic fine dining experience for a pre-Valentine’s dinner (we wanted to avoid the crowds). We were skeptical when we drove up and it was in a strip mall, but boy were we surprised when we went inside! It was pretty busy (thank goodness we had a reservation—I would highly recommend it), so it was a little loud and we had difficulty hearing our waitress. Our waitress was Lisa—she was very knowledgeable and efficient. We loved everything that we ordered with one exception: the Caesar salad. It hardly had any dressing on it and it was mostly just lettuce. Everything else was amazing! We started with the crab cakes, House red Cabernet, and fresh bread—which was delicious. Next, I had lobster ravioli with a huge shrimp on top (this was a special) and my fiancé had Pappardelle alla vodka (handmade egg noodles with scallops and shrimp in a vodka sauce). We were impressed that the pasta and the desserts are all made in-house. Definitely save room for dessert! I had the mascarpone cheesecake which is unlike anything I’ve ever had!! The crème brûlée was also delicious! We will definitely return. Just know that it’s a little pricier than your average restaurant With tip our dinner for two was about $200.
