Casa Alva Trin

What a wonderful discovery to find this wonderful restaurant on our visit to Trin, Switzerland back in 2019. Lovely meal and a beautiful setting. It is still there so look it up if you ever visit.

Casa Alva is not just a restaurant, it's an experience. From the moment you step through the door, you're enveloped in an ambiance of refined elegance and culinary artistry. The attentive staff, exude a warmth that immediately puts you at ease. The menu is a masterpiece, showcasing the chef's innovative approach to classic dishes. Each course is a symphony of flavors, textures, and aromas. The ingredients, sourced from local farmers and purveyors, are of the highest quality. The presentation is nothing short of stunning, each dish a work of art.

Great restaurant and hotel. A gem hidden in the small town close to Flims. Rooms clean, spacious and high standard. We had as well surprise dinner with recommended wine and it was at the Michelin star level. Same for breakfast - all fresh and beautifully presented. Local bread was the highlight of the stay ! Owners and staff very friendly and professional. Highly recommend to everybody who appreciates quality and great food.

This was the most fantastic dinner experience my family and I had in a long time. The food was amazing, beautifully composed and presented with great detail.

Fantastic restaurant: went with our kids and all took the seasonal menu. Packed with flavours and colours. A feast for the eyes and the palate. Great service, flexible to accommodate the kids, good wine card and a great selection of digestives… Had a wonderful evening. Do not let the price of the menu turn you away… this is value for money like few places in Switzerland.

Wonderful restaurant! We dined on Christmas Day evening and had one of the finest meals we can recall. I really enjoyed the recommendations for regional wine from such knowledgeable hosts. I highly recommend a visit if you are staying in Trin, Flims or Laax area.

Originally, creative, perfectly timed and the service is unintrusive to allow the guest the focus on the food experience. Many thanks to Saskia and Reto Gadola, we are looking forward to the next visit.

Fabulous food, rivalling that of Michelin restaurants in the region. Great service & attention to detail. A must if you are in the Chur/Flims/Laax vicinity.
