The Best Hotels in Milan

"Best Milan hotel for: an arty, rooted stay Brera—Milan's art district—is not shy of a big-name hotel opening. In February 2023—just in time for fashion week—Casa Baglioni officially opened its doors, joining the ranks of Bulgari, Armani, and Mandarin Oriental along these narrow streets stuffed with designer boutiques and hidden art studios. It's part of the Baglioni family, of course, and the Italian-founded brand thrives most when on home turf. This is a supremely comfortable place to stay. But the fact that its greatest charms—its celebration of midcentury Milanese artists everywhere you turn, from the enormous chandelier in the lobby to the little art pocket-guide left in your room—creep up on you rather than slap you in the face is a welcome relief from some of the more overtly flashy hotels in the neighborhood. All has been meticulously curated and the result is stylish and grown-up. The team is proud of its new location; Brera is still a locals' district, really, and one of the artiest in Italy—book a tour with one of the exceptional tour guides the team has found to get under the skin of the place, from private museum tours to the chance to poke around fascinatingly quirky artist studios. —Sarah James Price: Rooms from around $872 per night Address: Casa Baglioni, Via dei Giardini, 21, 20121 Milano MI, Italy"

Exquisite luxury boutique hotel in a very chic Milan neighborhood close to everything. My suite was beautifully appointed with a charming terrace. The service beginning with Maddalena, David, Arturo and the entire staff was outstanding! They all went out of their way to make you feel at home. It also has a very quaint roof top bar with great views. The hotel is a true find and a real gem. Highly recommended! Raul R/ Miami

Friendly service. Walking distance to anywhere you want to go. rooftop bar open late with great breeze and wonderful views. Dine at the Michelin rated restaurant, Sadler Restaurant, in the same building. The rooms are spacious and very comfortable. We would definitely stay here again.

Booked a 4 night stay with my wife. We chose this hotel because it's relatively small, looked comfortable with well appointed rooms and wonderful interior decor. We were not disappointed. We arrived 9 hours later than planned due to a flight cancellation. I called the hotel while at the airport in the US and spoke to Magdalena. When we arrived the next evening, she welcomed us, checked us in efficiently. Throughout our stay Magdalena 'went the extra mile' to ensure we were looked after, gave us recommendations, provided water and coffee and our stay would not have been the same without her. We were fortunate to receive an upgrade to a junior suite. The suite is spacious with lots of well thought out features. The abundant storage space is on one wall behind sleek fitted doors so it keeps the room looking tidy. The bed was firm and very comfortable. The bathroom The rooftop bar is a great space with excellent cocktails and views of the Duomo lit up at night. Breakfast was also excellent. There was a wide choice of meats, pastries, yogurts and bread as well as eggs, omelettes and other hot food, cooked on demand. The service was first class all around from breakfast, bell boys (Glenn and co), were efficient and always welcomed us back, great and informative concierge (David, Marco). The location is convenient for shopping, the Duomo, trams and buses around the city and the central station. We really enjoyed our stay and we will return on our next visit to Milan.

Casa Baglioni is truly one of the world’s finest hotels—comfortable, secure, and staffed by incredibly attentive people, like Glenn, whose warm smiles made us feel right at home. Sadler Restaurant delighted us daily, with a lavish breakfast and exceptional dinner that took all the guesswork out of dining. Our room was a perfect blend of modern design and spacious elegance, topped with an irresistibly cozy bed. An unforgettable stay!

The Casa Baglioni is the epitome of understated luxury, tasteful elegance, and impeccable service. It is conveniently located within easy walking distance to the high end shopping district, Brera, and many attractions and good restaurants. The entrance is inconspicuous but always manned by a very capacable and courteous staff. In particular, Glenn always provided1 a welcoming smile and helpful advice. The lobby is small but well appointed with mid-century furniture. We were welcomed by Sarah, who had helped us with various reservations before arrival. The hotel has less than 50 rooms and suites, so it's quiet and private but not cramped. Our standard room had plenty of space and all the amenities you would expect for a 5-star establishment. The daily breakfast was a highlight; the kitchen takes the simplest orders seriously, producing the best bacon and waffles we remember ever having. The same restaurant (Sadler) has a Michellan star, and offers an excellent tasting menu for dinner well worth trying. Overall, the Casa Baglioni in Milan was perfect for our visit and well deserving of its Leading Hotels recognition.

Wonderful hotel. Could not have chosen a better hotel in Milan. So close to the best shopping and restaurants (eat at Sadler, their own Michelin restaurant). The rooms were perfect. Everything was exactly as it should be. Service was thoughtful and thorough. The only suggestion I have is to have washcloths for guests in the rooms. Tiny but necessary. Overall we absolutely loved it.

While traveling with my husband in Italy we stayed 2 nights at Caaa Baglioni Milan. Once again the people who make the magic for us never fail. Giselle was most welcoming, with the smile and most willing to accommodate!’ thank you Giselle! The people who helped us from the second we arrived, Christian, one of them, was most accommodating. When we would leave our room and before we had a chance to press the button of the elevator, he already pressed for us. Amazing service really!! And finally, the room service at the restaurant really surpassed my expectations by far!’ his name is Mihai and the way he was willing to make sure we are not hungry and the presentation of the food was beyond any room service in the world and, trust me, my husband and I traveled the world. thank you Casa Baglioni for making us feel welcome and home! Happy New Year!’

The room was smaller than expected, and the interior is a little run down. Location was superb on the other Hand, and the staffs were friendly overall.
