Friendly attentive staff food is excellent. If I could rate it 10 stars I would, the pancakes are amaaaazing! And I love the additions you do like peanut butter, cream cheese, etc Edit: dinner and dessert is good too! The chicken on the beach is super delicious, and the fried ice cream will fill you up. Carlos is an excellent server does his job well!

Great service even when the restaurant is packed! My family loved the homemade salsa so much that we ordered some to take home. My steak fiesta salad today was delightful with hints of lime and cilantro. The greens were fresh and plentiful. As of family of five, we’ve tried a variety of menu items including their giant waffles, potato and bacon soup, and their sizzling fajitas. Everything has been great! It’s nice to attend a restaurant where even the pickiest eater in the family can find something they enjoy. The atmosphere is clean and friendly. And it’s nice to have a restaurant in town open on Sundays!

Saw a post on FB about a new restaurant opening in Columbia City and stopped in for a late lunch after visiting a neighboring shop. My granddaughter and I had a wonderful meal and a positive experience in this quaint cozy new addition to this small town. Service was exceptional making you feel welcome from the moment you walked in the door. I had carnitas and my granddaughter had the taco meal mexican style choosing the carnita filling. Both filled the plates with generous portions and the food was flavourful without being overly spicy. I like my food a bit spicier than most and was accommodated with a spicy sauce to mix with the house sauce. Stop in and check out this new restaurant. We plan on going back and trying the breakfast choices on a menu full of option's which by the way is served all day not just at breakfast. Thank you to the owners and employees for a positive experience!!!

Our favorite Mexican restaurant to eat at in Columbia City. The owner goes out of his way to make your experience exceptional and so welcoming. We have tried many different dishes and have never been disappointed. The entire staff is so friendly and always provide amazing service no matter how busy they are. We recommend them to friends and family. After we enjoy our meal we go next door for delicious desserts. The mini cakes are fresh and have amazing flavor. Their ice cream is made on location and the flavor is delightful. So many sweet options to choose from - we always get several sweets to take home for later.

My husband and I absolutely love Casa Balbina! From the very first time we stepped inside, we immediately felt the warm welcoming vibe—and the staff are truly the best! On our first visit, we chatted with the owner and his wife about their story, and after he recommended his favorite dish (and we sampled their salsa—which, in my opinion, says it all!), we knew we had found it—the “real” authentic Mexican restaurant we’d been searching for. Everything is homemade, the ingredients are fresh, and the menu has something for everyone. You can usually find us there at least once a week—it’s just that good! 🌮❤️

I love this place. After hearing raving reviews from some friends in town, we brought our kids out for dinner. The food was great. There’s tons of options, even our picky eaters were satisfied! Everyone is so sweet and fun. Definitely a great atmosphere, kind staff, good food, we recommend our friends and family coming to town to come here! PLUS okay I cannot stop thinking about the ice pops! I was scared to try the hell girl flavor- boi, you must try it!! So so so good!

We went a month after they open, excellent service and food. They give you a good size portion for the money. The staff very friendly. We liked it so much that we took our daughter for her birthday a month later. I recommend.

What an awesome experience. The waitress was extremely helpful and present. The food was absolutely amazing. I had the chimichanga fried and it was a huge helping. The place is decorated nicely and is eye catching when walking through the door.

We had dinner here tonight and really good Mexican dishes! The Carnitas Michoanas was fantastic and best even taken into account bat area CA restaurants from where we are from! Loved the side of seared jalapeno as well perfect to add to the tacos. Thank you for a very good meal tonight!

I ordered the arroz con shrimp for take out. The shrimp was great quality. The rice and cheese sauce was great. The chips and salsa was very good, the salsa is a little on the spicier side of mild, so heads up. I absolutely look forward to eating here again.

Definitely a must go to for Mexican food and for breakfast which is also fantastic! Friendly staff, clean establishment, great chips and salsa, especially the fresh hot salsa just have to ask for it. All dishes are made fresh when you order. Family owned. Can't say enough about this place!

We really enjoyed the variety available - breakfast all-day, American and Latin food. We had their tacos and loved them. Service was great and the decor is much improved over what it was with the previous business.
