"This family-run restaurant opened its doors in 1951 as a simple seaside “taberna” serving Manzanilla sherry to the weather-beaten fishermen from the town’s Bajo de Guía district. Over the years, Fernando Bigote and his children have gradually expanded the business. Nowadays, it still boasts a typical “taberna”, where you can eat an array of tapas and “raciones”, as well as two neo-rustic dining rooms decorated in a maritime style, with the room upstairs perhaps the more impressive thanks to its views of the mouth of the Guadalquivir. Choose from delicious fried delicacies, fish and seafood stews, local fish and, above all, the spectacular Sanlúcar prawns for which the restaurant is renowned and which are a must here." - Michelin Inspector

"A restaurant in Sanlúcar de Barrameda known for its seafood, particularly langoustines paired with local Manzanilla wine. Run by the Hermoso family since 1951."
"A “taberna” dating back to 1951 that heralded the beginning of the Casa Bigote and still retains its traditional feel. Choose from fried fish tapas and “raciones”, fish stews, seafood, portions of tuna etc." - Michelin Inspector
You can tell how good this place is by the queue for the unbookable outside tapas tables. They get claimed well before the place even opens. We booked ahead and ate in the restaurant. Food was exceptional and service also spot on. Not to be missed if you are in Sanlucar.

We sat at the bar and ordered mostly fish tapas as the restaurant was fully booked. We were in Andalucia for 10 days and this was probably the best food we had with amazing value for money. Everything we had was very tasty and the price was almost unbelievably low. 100% recommended.

Get there early to get a place at the bar. No need to reserve at the restaurant to have amazing food. We will go back for the ova and the buñuelos! The prices for the fried fish are really good for the quantity and quality. My wife loved the cazuela and it was so filling!

Great seafood/produce. We had tomato salad with fresh tuna, the famous Sanlucar shrimp (boiled and eaten cold), mixed fried seafood, and yogurt ice cream. Simple and satisfying.

The food was incredible. The quality and freshness of the seafood was superb.
The service was quick and friendly.
And the view is great over the beach and water.
We really loved it. Come on time, to avoid waiting lines.

Very good food. Quality ingredients and produce. Very fine olive oil, and seafood. We repeated on the same trip twice. Try the Cod Burgers, langostinos and Corvina.

The first floor dining room with sea view was amazing. Most dishes were tasty and fresh, but the cooked prawns (langostinos cocidos) were clearly the best.

Incredible value for money in a historic bar with very friendly staff. We didn’t sit in the restaurant but had tapas in the bar, best place we visited in sanlucar

Yelp
Food very good, found the service to be very unhelpful and lacking. It's a shame we had high expectations and did spoil the night

Yelp
Good fresh seafood straight from the ocean. The good part of the Resteraunt is the food but there is a negative. MAKE SURE to check your bill twice!!! They charged us for something we did not order. But other than that it's a good resteraunt
