The 12 Best Coffee Shops in Bogotá, Colombia | Eater

"Each of the four Café Cultor shops has a wildly different feel: One’s a recycled shipping container; another is tucked into the cavernous Luis Ángel Arango library in La Candelaria; at the shop inside of the Wilborada bookstore, you can snuggle up with a cappuccino on one of the comfy leather couches; and at the flagship store, you can watch (and smell!) coffee being roasted. All of them, however, are run by some of the most meticulous baristas in Bogotá. Café Cultor’s most distinct offering is its tangy limonada de café — which contains no lemon juice or traditional coffee. Instead, it gets its tartness from mucilage, the goop covering the raw coffee seed. There’s also a drink called the Café Don Agustino, Cultor’s riff on how coffee is served on farms — dressed up with spices and fruit." - Karen Attman

This place gets five stars without even trying! Terrific indoor/outdoor ambience-warm and inviting, and the staff are terrific. Knowledgeable and friendly. I tried the hula/ gesha mandarin for starters. I’ve been sitting here over an hour later and I’m still enjoying my first cup! There's a textile gallery next door, accessible from the garden, as well. Looks inviting. I’ll be back again!

Café Cultor is a beautiful spot, partly tucked inside the Wilborada 1047 bookshop, which gives it a really unique charm. The garden is lovely too, a great place to sit and enjoy a quiet moment. We tried the Café Cultor house blend, a pink bourbon, and some tea. Honestly, it was some of the best coffee I’ve ever had. We paired it with a cheese croissant and a lemon and blueberry cake. The food was okay, the cake was a bit dry so I’d say the real star here is definitely the coffee. The downside? The service. The staff weren’t particularly friendly, and if you’re buying coffee beans to take home, they don’t really explain what you’re getting or take the time to make a proper recommendation. It’s not a place I’d go back to, mainly because of the attitude of the staff but for the coffee itself, it’s absolutely worth a visit.

Love love love! Went twice during my stay in El Chapinero neighborhood. Excellent service, great coffee, and stunning patio area. Don’t think I’ve ever been in a cafe with a water feature.

I love this place and the vibe they have for morning coffee and working space. Always busy and people love to socialize there. The only complaint I had which I started to notice a trend for many coffee shops is they don’t hesitate to serve you old cakes dried up although they have more fresh delivery that day. I feel this is becoming problem for many places where the perception of their standard and employee standard don’t match. So don’t hesitate to reject it and ask for it to be replaced.

This is a great little place for coffee. You consider work and they have a beautiful patio that is part outdoors and part covered. The front. Patio is accessible, but there are stairs to get into the place itself. The sidewalk outside is probably not very easy to navigate if you are in a mobility device. But part of the front patio is also covered! Yummy coffee! And delicious treats!

World class coffee experience. Ditch Juan Valdez and opt for something like this! We got a full run down of the different coffee flavor profiles and preparation methods. Highly recommend this spot for coffee enthusiasts in Bogota!

Such a beautiful and relaxing spot. I got a cheese tart (local cheese) of some sort with guava on top and it was amazing. The coffee was pretty tasty as well. They have tons of coffee options so worth asking questions about their options. I do wish they had a coffee flight but maybe one day they will.

I am a regular customer when I visit Bogotá. Love the place and the coffee. This time I took 2 coffee courses over 2 days and highly recommend it for the personalized attention!
