Casa Camolese

Very nice place, with a fancy vibe. Food was incredible. We came for lunch on a week day without reservation and table was ready inmediately. Restaurant is next to a horse riding track so you get an amazing view while eating on the deck. Prices are above average but totally worth it. I would come back and try every meal from their menu.

Visited in June 2024. Brazil. Rio de Janeiro. We were in the Botanic Park and decided to check out this restaurant across the street. They have a very beautiful terrace, green and well-maintained, but unfortunately, there were only seats inside. We were also drawn in by the fact that they brew their own beer. The interior is simple but nice. Food: First of all, we tried the beer. We went with the strong ale. My husband knows a lot about beers and he really enjoyed this one. It had a rich, balanced, and full-bodied flavor with a slight bitterness on the aftertaste. We chose a sausage pizza to go with the beer, but it turned out to be a calzone, which is probably a plus. The dough was thin and crispy, with a lot of filling, tasty sausage, and cheese. The pizza was cooked perfectly! They have a professional wood-fired oven in the open kitchen. Service: The service was decent, but it was a bit slow. We had to flag down our waiter a few times. Conclusion: I recommend this restaurant, even though it’s hard to judge the entire menu based on just the pizza. However, the restaurant atmosphere, the local beer, everything gave us a positive experience.

Great food, great view what else is to say?😃 Fish was great, pasta was really tasty, pizza was a B+. If the weather is good and you move from the table to the level of the horse racetrack you can see Christ the redeemer. Great place after a long walk in the botanical garden !

Beautiful place, agréable. We stayed outside, with nice tables and chairs. Food and drinks very good, price ok for the quality.

Stopped at Camolese to have two cold beers before going to the RJ Gardens. The beer was expensive but we anticipated this.....was really disappointed we were charged a 15% service fee (too high) for simply purchasing and drinking their high priced beer. We received no service other than pouring the draft beer that was the product we bought. R$60 for 2 beers is not reasonable. Food looked good but we didn't go there for food just drink.

Absolutely amazing food and great location. Conveniently located near the botanical garden. Excellent food and chilled atmosphere. We'll be back again when we are next in Rio de Janeiro.

Great food. Micro brewery on site. Great beer. Great service. Great ambience. I recommend this place for a meal and then going to the botanical garden across the street. You have the option of spending a lot or as little as you want on food and drinks.
