Casa Casutt

Pearls like the casa casutt dont fit in a normal rating system like the one on google maps. i am honestly hesitating to make this review because I am not sure I want to share this pearl. And to give some context: I just was in a 2 star michelin restaurant yesterday and we were discussing our experiences in the last 15 michelin star restaurants over the last 10 years (and casa casutt i believe does not have a star) when a friend told me they are staying near Illanz which made me reminisce back to our last visit in casa casutt, maybe 2 years ago. every time we have been at casa casutt we had the privilege to get enjoy beautiful, harmonic, memorable food made with love. in a cozy, welcoming, humble atmosphere. with very reasonable prices. everything you want from a restaurant. for us, casa casutt is simply a must go without hesitation whenever close to illanz!

Simply the best meal I had in a long time. Fantastic food, really: tasty, exquisite and original combinations, perfect cooking. Great service: friendly and professional, just as it should be thanks to Therese who makes you feel as a welcome guest, not just a customer. And a lovely place. Swiss prices but in all fairness, the experience is worth every penny and the quality-price ratio is largely better than most places.

Food is great, they have great cuts of beef pork and veal, i guess thanks to being close to good suppliers. Service could be more friendly

Third visit in 2 years, always a pleasure. Really nice old main room to right of entrance, my favourite, but also cozy tables in the lower, more modern section further right. The cook excells at liver/innards/funny parts of animals, but also cooks up great standards, including fish & veggie. fantastic desserts. today, i had a fried calf gland on salad/sprouts, then calf cheeks w/ red cabbage & pizokels (kind of homemade noodle), then warm choc cake & ice & apple compote. excellent wine list, good on french reds but also italians (for white, stick to the locals). correct &yet relaxed service, young team working well together. Recommend!

Amazing food at a great price and a great local team! I will be back and can only recommend for a visit. Reservations for evenings are also recommended as the place is local and can fill up quickly. Thank you for the experience!

It's just imbeliveble, I will have never expected a restaurant like this! We can see the chef has control on every dishs, the way of how he cook the meat and how every element in dish are in armony! Bravo, I highly recommend!

Amazing food with a very friendly staff. Fun fact about this place is that you would be having an amazing meal where Kanye West had his dinner ;)

I didn’t stay there, but I ate there. Good traditional food. Friendly staff.
