22 Best Hotels in Buenos Aires

"More of a bed and breakfast than a hotel, Casa Chic lives up to its name. Located above a delightful home and clothing store, Casa Chic offers just six rooms, each with its own charm thanks to eclectic textiles, art, and furniture. In the spacious lounge, which is decorated with Chesterfield leather sofas, vintage mirrors and lighting fixtures, and B&W photos on the walls, you might run into the other guests, mostly young solo travelers or couples from North America and Europe. There’s also a tiny terrace where guests can enjoy breakfast. The six rooms are small (at 431 square feet, the Studio is the largest) but charming in that Pottery Barn kind of way—think distressed farmhouse-style bed frames painted in a shade of chalky dove egg, striped cotton throw pillows, sheer curtains, fresh cut flowers on the nightstand." - Celeste Moure

Casa Chic Palermo Soho — Hotel Review | Condé Nast Traveler

"Why book? A cozy hideaway above a fashion and home store in vibey Palermo Soho, Buenos Aires . Set the scene More of a bed and breakfast than a hotel, Casa Chic lives up to its name. The rooms The six rooms are small (at 431 square feet, the Studio is the largest) but charming in that Pottery Barn kind of way—think distressed farmhouse-style bed frames painted in a shade of chalky dove egg, striped cotton throw pillows, sheer curtains, fresh cut flowers on the nightstand. Bathrooms, which are stocked with the in-house amenities, feature tiled floors and walls, marble sinks with antique-looking hot and cold water taps, and tubs with shower curtains. Food and drink A simple Continental breakfast of croissants, jams, juice, coffee and tea is included. The neighborhood/area Casa Chic can get away with being small and offering little because it is set right in the heart of Palermo Soho, one of the most creative neighborhoods in the city, and where street art, design, fashion and gastronomy mingle in a colorful and creative way. Within a 10-block radius of the hotel, you’ll find everything from boutiques that specialize in handmade jewelry and fashions, vintage clothing, designer furniture, and leather accessories. There are also some great places to eat and drink. Try Cuervo Café for a flawless tostado de jamon y queso (grilled ham and cheese sandwich) and iced Americano. A couple of blocks away at Chori (short for choripán, slang for chorizo sausage in bread), you can sample the country’s beloved street food. Check out The Hole Bar for cocktails and sushi in an Alcatraz-themed speakeasy where drinks are named after notorious inmates. The service The service is friendly but can be slow (and sometimes non-existent). You might be waiting a while for the front desk to get back to you if you have a question about, for example, help with a dinner reservation Accessibility Not ADA compliant. Anything left to mention? Many of the rooms are on the smaller side, so this is a good choice for solo travelers and those on a tight budget who are looking to stay in the heart of trendy Palermo Soho for a couple of nights. The AC can get loud when cranked to the coldest setting. Because there’s no lobby on the ground floor, guests arriving after hours are let in the building by a security guard." - Celeste Moure

Casa Chic is a little nice hotel but unfortunately also a bit scruffy. It should be cleaner. There is dust everywhere and the house keeping doesn't make a good job.|The staff is friendly but at least one of them is dishonorable. I am quite sure that I know who it is and how this person did it but I can't prove it. After we left the hotel, I realized that somebody has stolen part of my money out of the safe deposit box. In some old reviews about this hotel I found out that this has already happened before. So, pay attention and take care of your valuables. It's a pity that I have to mention this but of course, it ruined my impression of Casa Chic forever.

Excellent location but thats it. Room is extremely small, musty, dark and windows cannot be opened in any of them. No chair or small table. No space to put or open your suitcase. Breakfast only as of 8AM and very poor in variety. Relation price-quality is out of balance. There are much better hotels for that price in the neighbourhood

The staff are incredibly welcoming and helpful, from recommending places to visit in the area to calling a taxi. The rooms are updated and the entire place smells fresh with candles in common areas. The neighborhood has tons of excellent restaurants and shops. Very walkable and safe.

Beautiful and clean rooms at a great location; however, I need to highlight two major issues from this property. The main door is closed after 8 PM, having to call the security personnel via intercom if you arrive later. That wouldn't be a problem if they answered in time, as I had the problem of them forgetting to hang up the phone twice and having to wait almost an hour outside (at 1 AM) until they realized about it and the intercom started working again. Second issue is the AC, it is extremely noisy and might wake you up in the middle of the night.

We had two rooms for our family. The twin room was small and dark and the suite was light huge and beautiful. So if you can book the suite and it would make a big difference to your stay. The staff in the afternoon speak no English but the lady in the morning was very helpful with good English. The breakfast was very light...what we would eat at home. Toast and cereal. The deco is very tasteful. There is a security guy that is there overnight watching tv so when we had to checkout at 3am. He was great to make sure our taxi arrived. They don't have money exchange. In fact money exchange in b.a was a nightmare. Even if the queue at the airport is long...make sure you exchange money there before you leave.

We knew that this was going to be a chic, quiet, beautiful hotel but our expectations were exceeded when we arrived on our first night. From start to finish - the hotel is very charming, small hideaway with just a few rooms above a chic boutique storefront (we felt like it was a reverse speakeasy for a hotel! Such a cute find!). The staff was extremely accommodating throughout the late hours and we were so happy with the location - we walked out an across the street was a happening craft bar with amazing brews and cocktails, outdoor seating, etc. We felt so safe in this neighborhood upon which our hotel Casa Chic was located - HIGHLY recommended and this is where we are staying next time we're in town!

Approached sales clerk with pajama set on a hanger; two pieces—pants and a wrap. The belt loop on the wrap was torn and we asked about a discount and was told they had a new one in the back. Asked the price and was told 8000 pesos. Accepted the price and was given what we thought was the pajama set. Got home and discovered only the wrap. When we called we were told that it was sold separately. Okay, but why weren’t we told that at the beginning? Poor customer service and the manager was unavailable when we called. Very upsetting experience. Don’t trust them.

There is nothing chic about being woken up at 3AM by the sound of a malfunctioning Airco that sounds like a plane about to take off! We went down to the reception and requested to be put in a different room, but the doorman who was on duty that night said he could not do anything about it. He said we had to wait until the morning. We turned off the Airco and couldn’t really sleep, because of the heat. |In the morning we went down to the reception and the receptionist said she would send someone to fix it. In the evening when we came back, the noise was better, but still by no standards acceptable. |The water reservoir in the toilet was also broken. Every time we used the toilet, we had to open the water reservoir and pull the lever. |Breakfast was very poor. Literally just toast, 1 kind of cereal and croissants. |Upon check out, we were charged full price despite all the inconvenience and sleepless night caused by the Airco. |We liked Palermo soho the most out of all neighborhoods in BA. However, when we come back to BA, we won’t be booking Casa Chic. |
