Rooms were lovely—nice decor, clean, and very functional. The hotel seems to be working on issues identified by other reviewers. For example, towels were available at reception and at the pool. Location next to the public beach was very convenient! 4 stars on location because views from the hotel were mainly buildings. Food at rooftop bar was excellent—some of the best we had on our week-long vacation where we tried a number of restaurants. In-room laundry was very convenient! The pool and pool area were very nice!

Friendly staff and lovely place to stay. We stayed in a studio room that had a fully equipped kitchen including stove top and dishwasher. The rooms came with a balcony with a partial ocean view that made for a beautiful view at sunset. Dinner at the rooftop restaurant was delicious and the relaxed pace of the service was exactly what we needed!

Stayed at Casa Costera for one week with our family. It’s a great location and service is outstanding. The team went above & beyond for us. Seriously, thank you so much. My children had a blast in the rooftop pool. 5 minute walk to the beach. Easy walk to places to eat. Thank goodness for that clean, reliable laundry room!

The Best Place We’ve Stayed in Puerto Rico – Hands Down! After living in and traveling to Puerto Rico for over 30 years, we can confidently say that Casa Costera is our absolute favorite place to stay. It’s rare to find a spot that combines upscale comfort, incredible cleanliness, and genuine hospitality—but Casa Costera nails it on every level. The property is beautiful, modern, and impeccably maintained. Everything feels thoughtfully designed and welcoming, from the stylish rooms to the peaceful outdoor spaces. The staff was incredibly helpful—warm, responsive, and professional. You can tell they genuinely care about their guests having a great experience. We’ve had our fair share of hit-or-miss stays at Airbnbs, and this was a huge step above. No guesswork, no surprises—just a clean, comfortable, and relaxing experience every single time. If you’re heading to Isla Verde and want a boutique hotel that’s reliable, peaceful, and luxurious without the big resort chaos, this is the place. We’ll absolutely be back.

A Truly Memorable Stay at Casa Costera – Isla Verde Beach I recently had the pleasure of staying at Casa Costera, Isla Verde Beach – Apartments by Marriott Bonvoy during a trip for the Bad Bunny concert, and the experience was absolutely fantastic from start to finish. We originally booked a one-room, two-bed setup, but to our surprise and delight, we were upgraded to a spacious two-bedroom, two-bathroom apartment. Even though we arrived before the standard check-in time of 4 PM, our room was already cleaned and ready, which was a wonderful start to our stay. The hospitality was top-notch. From the warm and professional front desk hosts, Natalie and Ivy, to the courteous and attentive security staff, every team member made us feel genuinely welcome and safe. The property itself exceeded all expectations. Just a two-minute walk to the stunning Isla Verde Beach, the location couldn’t have been more perfect. Whether you're visiting for a concert, a vacation, or just a relaxing getaway, this spot offers both comfort and convenience. A special highlight was the rooftop restaurant, ZUL. The ambiance was incredible, and the fish tacos were some of the best I’ve ever had—a must-try for any foodie! I wholeheartedly recommend Casa Costera to anyone planning a visit to this beautiful island. It’s a place where thoughtful service, comfort, and location come together to create an unforgettable experience.

We had an amazing stay, the property is in great location. Well maintained with a modern and sharp look. We had the same room attendant for the complete 10 days and she was amazing. Maribella made us feel at home and she treated us as part of the Casa Costera family. Definitely coming back. Thank you Maribella for an amazing experience.

Cons: Bathroom door has a huge gap. You can see everything in the shower. Pots and pans are non-stick coated but has a lot of scratches. If you are concious, bring your own pan. They had salt/pepper but no oil, had to get one from the grocery store. Website said room comes with attached laundry, it didn't. Had to use the common laundry on the lobby floor. They provide pods free of charge. Pool was not staffed, just one guy at the bar. The umbrellas you have to set up and boy do they fly around so you have to constantly hold it or it will fly far far away. Pros: not even a 30s walk to the beach. Just leave the property and turn left, it's right there. Grocery store ~12-15min walk. Lots of other restaurants close to the hotel. Front desk staff is awesome. I couldn't get late checkout, but they let me keep the bags until I left to the airport.

While I understand this is a relatively new property, I was disappointed with the cleanliness of the bathroom in my room. Upon arrival, I found several hairs on the bathroom floor and mat, which did not reflect the standards of cleanliness I typically expect from a Marriott hotel—especially one that is newly opened. To be candid, the condition of the bathroom made me extremely uncomfortable, to the point where I was hesitant to use it. It was genuinely off-putting.

This is such a lovely hotel within footsteps to the Isla Verde Beach. Staff was friendly and accommodating. My room was perfect; it was spacious, clean and cozy. I got a room with a balcony where I could see the beach. The beds were comfy, full size fridge with plenty room, bathroom was spacious, everything I needed for a great stay. WHAT A WONDERFUL STAY!!! I will be back.

We stayed here twice over the holidays (12/22/24-12/28/24 - room 205, and 1/4/25-1/6/25 - room 415): TLDR: not the typical high quality Marriott experience. Large rooms, walking distance to the beach, poor customer service, not very clean. Would we stay again? Yes, but with lowered expectations compared to typical Marriott standards. Pros: - Spacious rooms with full-size fridge - Comfortable beds and pillows - Quality body wash - Partial ocean view balcony - Walking distance to the beach - Air conditioning runs very cold - Free laundry facilities (though limited) Negatives: 1. Poor bathroom design - Half-glass shower means half your shower water ends up out of the shower - No ventilation - steamy and all surfaces stay wet - Thinnest toilet paper ever 2. Maintenance & Cleanliness - Dirty common areas and elevators - not swept or mopped - Trash left by other guests not removed for more than a day - All shampoo, conditioner and soap were empty upon check-in both times - NEVER has pool towels - like we got 1 (for 2 people) once the entire time we were there. The front desk said she doesn't know why they don't have them available and that they do not wash the towels overnight for the following morning. - No housekeeping even during long stays 3. Room Environment - Thin walls (you can hear the neighbors sneeze and their tv) - Doors are heavy and slam shut. Plan to be woke up several times throughout the night - Strong smoke smell in both rooms at check in and neighbors smoking marijuana during our stay - Difficult-to-change bedding (we were offered clean sheets but told housekeeping does not actually come change the sheets for you) 4. Service Issues - Unresponsive to basic requests (extra towels, changing blood stained sheets) - Poor communication about lack of towels and lack of housekeeping The only friendly worker was the gentleman who checked us in. *I don't want the standard, we are sorry for your experience response from management. You aren't sorry. I would suggest the management team provide training for the employees, order more pool towels, and hire additional staff.
