Really disappointed at spending my dinner evening here. First of all, this place is way overpriced for the quality and flavor of the food. I spent $342 for 4 people. Their free bread was lacking crunch and their dipping oil lacked flavor. We then had the “evening special”, the truffle pasta on the cheese wheel. Disappointing. This pasta dish lacked flavor. The sauce was basic (it tasted like heavy cream- Watch video) and the chicken (add on) was cold. I had the carbonara. They added thin crispy bacon. The sauce used looked like a white sauce and not an egg-based sauce. Was not good. The cheese ravioli had the best sauce. I am also surprised how this place meets fire codes when I had to move every time a person or staff had to walk behind me. Their main server was funny and fun, that unfortunately, is my one positive remark.

The story of this place is a good one. The (current) owner worked here for many years under a different owner. There was a fire, and the previous owner didnt want to continue. The (current) owner and his friend bought it from the previous owner, and now the (current) owner is so sweet and runs a fantastic restaurant that feels very homey.

This is the best food i’ve ever had in my life!! I would cross the ocean everyday just to eat it again. Florin gave us the most amazing service, everyone is so nice and polite, and i can’t even start to talk about the food! Just perfect! If you’re in NYC, don’t think twice and come around (and my personal tip is to order the pasta special with black truffle). The chef most certainly deserves a michelin star!!

Had a big birthday party of 9 people and staff were extremely attentive, beautiful atmosphere and food and drinks were delicious. A bit on the pricier side but to be expected for an upscale place in little Italy. Food was great and big portion sizes!

Stopped in before the dinner rush, table for 1 no problem. Immediately seated. Ordered the not on the menu truffle pasta special. It's good, not amazing & also $65. Then Waited a full 20 mins to get my check with my cc on the table & another waiter took care of my bill so I could leave. I tried this place once. Maybe I will come back for a basic pasta/pizza. Bread plate was so terribly scratched that it looked dirty.

Its not technically on the menu but they allowed me to get Tortellini Vodka so they are awesome for that and it was a flat 9.0/10 for me. It was great. The dessert was pretty solid as well. The place was clean, had a nice bar and most everyone was friendly. The back dining room being really tight is the only thing that was desirable, but the front was way more open. I recommend getting a reservation as it can get busy especially for dinner and busy times of year. I would definitely go back

Wow what a romantic experience right on heart of the San Genaro festival. Always wanted to experience such a thing with the love of my life and I'm so happy I did. I am getting so hungry just from looking at these pics! Everything was top notch. One of the best gnocchis I've ever had. Nothing beats this moment.

After a morning spent exploring SoHo, I settled on Casa D'Angelo's in Little Italy for lunch. The experience was solid overall…the food was good, particularly the Caprese salad. While the recommended pasta dish “Home made fresh Tagliatelle with meat sauce” was enjoyable, it wasn't exceptional as I had hoped for. The restaurant is an amazing location for people-watching, making it a worthwhile stop for a casual lunch, whether you're with a date or hosting family visiting the city.

ago THIS IS THE MUST TRY!! Having visited Italy I could honestly say hands down this is the most authentic Italiano food in New York. Definitely ask for the specials and recommendations. The pasta special is amazing! The tiramisu and creme brulee is a must. Eduardo G. was an excellent top shelf server, made us feel right at home. He is very knowledgeable and attentive to our needs. (Saludos de las chicas de California) Disclaimer: the Amazing restaurant is owned by an authentic Napoles Italiano (e piloto), AND the staff reside in New York, so you'll get the privilege to be served by diverse and gentle humans. Very friendly staff. Authentic taste. The bolognese sauce was delish. Not over salted like so many other places. They even put it on papardelle though it wasn't on the menu!

We dined here for Easter Sunday. We had a 2 pm RSVP and were seated immediately. We started w drinks. They brought over some bread with olive oil. The food was really good. Better than I had expected! Thought it was gonna be a tourist trap, but that wasn't the case. We had the Speidini, which was amazing. A must try. My husband had the rigatoni with meatballs, he asked for sausage, said it was excellent. I had the linguine vongole. It was so full of flavor. The pastas were homemade. Service was very good.

I came here with four of my girl friends on Valentine's Day for a cute Galentine's dinner, and ordered the Rigatoni Alla Polpette. The tomato sauce was kind of bland, but the pasta noodles have a great texture - delicious and chewy, and you can tell it's homemade. The meatballs were tasty and tender. My friend enjoyed her Rigatoni Alla Vodka as well. I also ordered the Tiramisu Martini, which I highly recommend!! It was creamy and delicious. Now, throughout this meal, we ordered ~5 cocktails, in which THREE were made incorrectly. The first time this happened, we asked if we could keep the cocktail (since they would throw it out anyway). They said yes, and nothing else. The second and third time, they told us they had to take it away, and we agreed. When the bill came, we were charged for the first wrong drink, and when confronting the waiter, he became extremely argumentative and then started to threaten to take it out of another waiter's paycheck since he was the one that didn't tell us they had to take away wrong drinks. He said 'it's either you or him that has to pay.' We felt very manipulated/guilted into paying for this cocktail. We ended up paying for the drink, and went to the manager at the front, who was very nice and sweet, and gave us free limoncello shots. Prices are decent, we didn't feel rushed in the slightest (my friends arrived like an hour before me and split a bottle of wine), and the interior is very cozy and cute. Aside from that specific confrontative waiter, the overall experience was good.

Food: good wasn't great certainly not worth the price! It wasn't something where when I go back I have to eat here again....Totally over priced in my opinion. I get ingredients aren't cheap if imported from Italy and pastas were homemade but it's fine dining Italian so portions were small, however, I wouldn't have charged the price they charged! It was a last minute rush decision as we needed to eat something to make it to our Broadway show. Ambiance was nice....service was ok...everyone looked mad! Pizza was definitely not worth $30.

Foods ok but just ok. They try but noisy and nothing special. The arugula salad was nice but needed salt. The burratta pizza was lovely but to slop a pc of cold burratta in the middle doesn't make sense. The chisti wine for $20 a glass was crazy especially since it was served very warm. Then to get a 3% charge to use a credit card. Never heard of that in a fine restaurant

During the San Gennaro Feast, we decided to eat dinner here since we wanted somewhere to sit down. There was a 15 minute wait for a table in which we ended up sitting in a small table right next to the crowds of people passing through. It got a bit hectic with how busy it was along with how tiny our table was, but we made it work. It was slightly off putting when the waiter told us we couldn't have our drinks to dine here. This is a street festival, so people are walking around with food and drinks. Plus, we were ordering a bottle of wine, so it wasn't like we weren't going to get alcohol from here too. Anyways, we chugged our drinks so they could take it away --eh. To go along with our wine, we started off with the Bruschetta ($14). This came with four pieces, which were decent (but I'm not a bruschetta fan in general). We also got some complimentary bread, but I had to also ask for oil to go with it. For the mains, we got the Spaghetti alla Carbonara ($26) and Lasagna Casa D'Angelo ($26). Both of the pasta were good, but can't say they're the best I've ever had. The spaghetti was almost a little too al dente for me, but the dish filled me up. Overall, it was a decent meal; just nice to have somewhere to sit and dine during all the craziness.

Came here after seeing the review. I have been to some places around little Italy and a lot of the time it's got tourist and the food would be not that good. But I was pleasantly surprised this place was good. The bread was a little dry and stale along worth the olive oil they had didn't have flavor. Pass on the bread and oil. We sat pretty far back so the service was okay. Not that great since the waiters couldn't see us that much but that's fine. It wasn't terrible. We got the caprese, mussels and the meatballs for starters. The mussels and the meatballs were pretty good. The caprese fell short. It didn't have that much flavor. The spicy shrimp was good. But I liked the light sauce on the clams more. It was clean and the flavor was good. I would definitely recommend here and will be coming back to try other items on the menu. At the end the waiter spilled oil sauce on my partner but to rectify for his mistake. He gave us complimentary tiramisu. Which was good also. Not too sweet and soft. Just the right amount of yumminess.

wow fanastic place with great service and great food. Everyone had one type of pasta or another and everyone in the group had nothing but great things to say about this place. The starter caesars salad were very authentic and everyone had a great pasta dish. The wine list is a huge and has something for someone on every budget. The pasta primavera seemed to be the top choice of the group but regular spaghetti was also a hit. I had thicker noodles and they were great as was the gnocki that wife had. They insistend on a giving us a tiramisu on the house and it was really good. This is a place that is very authentic right on Mulberry street.

The food was so yummy and service was great. The drinks they offer are also great. Hard to come by authentic Italian and we enjoyed eating outside during perfect weather.

First time in Little Italy, there are so many dinner options to choose from in this area. After much thought, we decided to come here to Casa D' Angelo. We certainly do not regret it! Great food ! Great environment! Exceptional service from the moment you arrive, till the moment you leave. Eduardo G was the best! He gave amazing recommendations and positive energy. Pretty much everyone here made us feel welcomed. I LOVE LITTLE ITALY !

The food is spectacular and the service is even better. Bartenders and servers are all amazing and so welcoming! Definitely recommend.

Tourist trap. Bolognese is dogfood. Parmigiano is sawdust. Waiters are real Italians shame on them.

In the heart of Little Italy, one of the best Italian restaurants I've ever been to. While you wait for your table, you can watch them make their homemade pasta. Very small place, so make a reservation. Food was great, service was great. Very clean, down home type place. Come here if you want authentic Italian.

Total tourist trap. There were a couple of red flags right away: they tried to sell us roses inside the restaurant and even attempted to sell us pictures. The food and service were mediocre at best. Definitely not worth the visit.

Delicious authentic Italian food! The bread was so spongy and moist. The olive oil was very good. The pasta dishes were the best tasting pasta equivalent to what I had in Italy. Pasta was cooked to perfection al dente. The seafood was cooked perfectly. I thought this place wouldn't be good considering the location but I was wrong

Ok, so when you're a tourist from San Diego and you come to Little Italy for pasta, you have certain expectations. I know expectations are planned disappointments but still, i came here expecting to have a decent pasta meal in a restaurant that specializes in pasta in Little Italy. Not gonna lie, left a bit disappointed. To be perfectly honest, the location and ambiance were perfect. The blue and white checkered tablecloths, the street side tables, all that is a 10. The food was decent but mediocre, pasta you can get anywhere. I ordered the caccio e pepe, always a reliable marker for a chef. This was hugely disappointing. My wife had the ortechiette w broccoli which was also OK but no more than that. But what truly put a bad taste in my mouth was the fact that they automatically added an 18% gratuity and didn't say a word about it. It was only by accident that i noticed the fine print on the bottom. If we were a party of 8, I'd understand but for two adults and two children under age 6?! It felt gratuitous, pun intended. I'm a very generous patron who normally tips way over the standard 15-18% and way wayyy more for exceptional service but in this case i paid what they had already added and slightly more than they actually deserved

Went here for lunch while in NYC. It was what we expected for a restaurant in Little Italy. The ambiance was perfect. The service was excellent. Our waiter was very attentive and helpful with our selections. The complimentary bread with Parmesan was a nice starter. We went for the pasta, and the cannelloni was tasty and filling, but the pizza was the surprise of the meal. The pepperoni was mild and the combination of cheese and sauce was just right. The chewy crust was delicious. Is it a little touristy, maybe. Some reviewers complain about the prices, but it's NYC. Felt the prices were reasonable for the city. There may be better places in Little Italy, but it was perfect for our lunch.

My friend was drawn when the waiter talked to her we were exploring Little Italy. Great place to sit outside, heap lamps and enjoyable atmosphere watching everything. Food-wise beets and spaghetti pasta was great. Everything else was ok.

A friend and I were looking for somewhere to dine for lunch on Mulberry and weren't to sure where to dine having never been in this area. A young man that works for the restaurant waved us over and we decided to dine there. I ordered the chicken parmigiana and was sadly disappointed. The pasta had entirely too much basil which was overpowering and took away from the marinara sauce. The chicken bread crumbs tasted a little charred which I didn't really like. I would not revisit, for those of you that love basil this is the spot for you

We were walking through little Italy and passing many restaurants. The guy standing outside tried to convince us to come in but we had already decided on a pizza place. After getting down the block and having looked at other peoples plates as we passed by this spot, we turned around and got a table. Service was insane and I wish everywhere had service like this. Everything was streamlined. Someone sat us, immediately someone gave us menus and asked what we wanted to drink. Someone else brought us bread. Soon after we had our drinks and our order in. They weren't skimping on staff and it made for a better experience. French 75, one of their gin based drinks, was delicious. The pasta dish I got was tasty. Everyone was pleasant. The bread and oil was good. Overall I'd come back here for sure.

I love the vibes of this restaurant as it's super spacious and fancy! Our waiter was Leo and he was very welcoming and nice! I got the rigatoni Alla vodka which is my go to at Italian restaurants and I think it was good, but not great. I liked it, but I've had better rigatoni Alla vodka's. I also didn't rlly like their complementary bread, but that's just personal preference. Overall, the food is pretty good!

CAUTION! I was there today, 04/06/24, with my niece celebrating her birthday today. We liked the food and the ambiance... However, the staff either took advantage of the situation (I gave them my bank card before we ordered to surprise my niece as she resists letting me pay for her) or made a major error in calculating the bill. I hope it's the latter as I would like to give the server the benefit of the doubt. We ordered 1 bruschetta ($14), 1 manicotti a forno ($22), 1 osso bucco with pasta (price not on the menu), 1 cannoli (price not on the menu), 1 creme brûlé (price not the menu), and 1 cannoli to go as the cannoli we had tasted fresh and a good portion. We didn't order any drinks. I didn't receive an itemized bill because they just charged my card, but based on the existing prices on the menu, I shouldn't have been charged $171 (unless they were charging us for the warm tap water). Since I was trying to surprise my niece I was in an extremely awkward position to challenge the bill. Also the cannoli we received to go was a sad tiny version of the one we had while dining there (see picture below for comparison). It was a nice meal until the bill and sad to-go cannoli.

Here for a nice quiet dinner with my wife. The ambience was great. They give you a choice of regular water and Pellegrino. They give you two types of bread with olive oil and balsamic vinegar. I ordered the lasagna with sauce. They're homemade pasta with cooked perfectly with a nice blend of meat and spice. You can tell it was warmed in the broiler and not a microwave. Great selection of wines to pair with your meal. Would definitely love to try this place again.

Walked by here during the San Genero Feast, the menu looked good. I got the Caico de Peppe and it was lacking flavor. My boyfriend got the rigatoni and that was yummy. The sang me happy birthday and we shared a free red velvet cake. I don't like red velvet but this cake was good af!

Had such a lovely experience here. Hadn't been in many years and when I came back and saw it was under new management I was worried! But, was so pleasantly surprised. Eduardo attended us and we ordered the pasta special...made with their house made pasta in the cheese wheel with beautiful shaved truffles. What a treat! We ended our meal with their DELICIOUS homemade tiramisu! Will absolutely come back and bring our family next time!

Started off great with fresh bread, smiley service and prompt drink order. We ordered our food in a timely manner and it came out looking delicious but portions are small. Then, our server disappeared for 10-15 minutes. No drink refills, napkins, etc offered. This was at 6:00ish on a Monday night and half the tables were empty. Just a bit disappointing but maybe that is the service to expect in a post covid world? Loved the bread, and the rigatoni was good but I didn't LOVE the sauce. Side ceaser salad is $18 and was the best part.

Great food! Quick service! Pesto gnocchi and chicken parm was what we got and I HIGHLY recommend both! Cappuccino and cannoli for dessert was a must as well!

We wanted something to share, the server recommend the special for two, when they bring it it was for 4 people easy. This place try to charge you the expensive dishes, be aware.

Beautiful place. Cozy, family atmosphere and the Bruno is so kind and welcoming. Must go to place in little Italy. And the cannoli is tastier than the ones we had in Italy! 10/10 recommend for delicious food, wine and atmosphere. Can't wait to go back again.

We had a large party and the staff was so attentive and quick! We had such a great time with the accordion as well. The chicken parm and ravioli were the group's favorites dishes!

My friend suggested this spot as it was viral on TT so naturally we had to try it out. She ordered the carbonara and I the gnocchi pesto. Classic but not the easiest to perfect of dishes and they were spectacular! Pricing was a little steeper than competing restaurants in little Italy but worth it in our opinion. The knock of a star is because the vibe is cheesy and leaves something to be desired but at least the service was consistently positive. All in would recommend and return!

I been to Casa 3x and everyone the food gets better. The chef told me he can make any pasta noodle I wanted fresh from scratch. The seafood pasta is my favorite thing to order from casa. The best service from the staff they always tell me about the specials they have before I place my order that's how I found out about the lobster pasta. The ambiance is amazing the restaurant is clean well lit. It's a good vibe my last visit was with 9 ppl they even gave us free shots for my mother bday. This is a cool date spot or a family dinner. Good prices for pasta and tasty drinks!!!!

Truly an exceptional restaurant. Delicious pasta, incredibly attentive servers, and amazing vibes. If you think it would be hard to accommodate 20+ girls for a birthday dinner, you'd be right but Casa De'Angelo made it look effortless. Would 100% go back. 10/10 experience.

Valentine's dinner - what an enjoyable night and dinner. We were not rushed out or pressured to leave. Eduardo our server was very attentive- providing us with recommendations and specials and great service. We split a fried mutz appetizer for the table. For our main, we choose the whole lobster fradiavolo for two. It came to the table in a huge round paella pan filled and I mean filled with seafood. Lobster, squid, clams, mussels, shrimp with homemade linguini in a red sauce. The flavor was amazing and the pasta cooked perfectly. We also had the manicotti and gnocchi. The deserts were the best - tiramisu, cheesecake and tartufo. We will for sure be back again.

The Good: Arrived on time for our reservation and only had to wait outside for a few minutes for our table to be ready. The outside greeter and manager inside were super nice. Manager overheard us discussing the food and took a pizza off our tab. Bussers cleared dirty plates quickly. The Not So Good: Our waiter was so argumentative for no reason. I ordered a simple daiquiri and was served rum + sweet&sour mix. He tried to argue that it is what I ordered and was not happy when I said I didn't want a replacement. Our bread was cold & the olive oil was very very light and lacked any flavor. The busser stuck his finger all the way in to the bowl of parm on the table. Bruschetta tasted like seafood, probably cross contamination during prep. Pizza was so floppy that you couldn't pick it up without all of the toppings sliding right off. One person in my party enjoyed their entree, the tortellini. I left hungry and irritated. Almost forgot- my menu was covered in food. I asked for a clean menu and was given one, but my gross menu was closed and stacked right on top of the others so it wasn't even wiped out.
