First time here, and I was excited to have some traditional caldos like my abuelita used to make, and I was not disappointed!
The caldo de res was flavorful, and the beef was super tender. Corn on the cob, carrots, green beans, and it came with what tasted like house made tortillas. I asked for a side of arroz and it was perfect!
We also tried the pozole, which was not the typical red version. It was even better! Heary portions of shredded chicken, todtadas (I had the option of that or tortillas), and all the fixings!
The kid had the carne asada quesadilla, and it was stuffed with tasty steak and gooey cheese!
Last but not least, we got to try the tamales, courtesy of the guy running the front since it was our first time in! One chicken mole and one rajas con queso. I can't decide which one was my favorite!
I'm definitely coming here again! I saw a sign for Albindigas on Wednesday, and I'm making that happen one day!
