Their website as with everyone’s describes experienced clinicians, focus on domestic violence, blah blah etc.. all these programs can and do bill insurance under the guise that clients are receiving something aimed at their improvement (whether that be mental, circumstance, general well-being) when I’m beginning to see that billing is the goal and how a client feels after a “service” is not really up on the priority list. A 2 hour support group?! That is not client centered or client run? This woman has no idea what she’s doing the help I’ve seen her provide was useless in their real life situation she was reading out of a book when I first got there no one was talking. This is not a support group. She spreads misinformation and encourages survivors of dv to feel guilt. This shows how unqualified and inexperienced she is w domestic violence in general and is causing harm w her lack of knowledge and intuitive knowledge, or lack there of, I hope they are not getting to bill for that Bc it’s absolute trash. The counselor assigned to be also behaved inappropriately unprofessional and disheveled in appearance, kept contacting me when I had terminated services pretending we had a session that day when we didn’t. She pretended to not know what day it was hmmm how convenient.Ana Nogales who is the founder of this place I believe just from staff interactions is more of a figure than an actual presence in her own facility that is making her agency book bad. Most have never met her. But her names all over everything.. I am so underwhelmed by the professionalism here that I am truly reconsidering the importance of mental health care when the care is provided by people unfit to facilitate that care. This agency wants to bill insurance for things they don’t do and couldn’t care less about anything else
