Casa Del Mar

Moved in a month ago and I absolutely love it! Lucked out with a 1 BR that was recently renovated. They did such a great job with the renovation - floors fit the aesthetic, counter tops are really nice, sink is large and looks good, modern fridge etc etc! Staff is amazing - Sara and Jon are both so friendly and helpful and responsive. Love having two pools. And the outdoor shower is really nice for rinsing off after going to the beach. Views are great, noise is light. There's coffee shops and restaurants nearby. Gelson's is good if you need a quick grocery. Really just a great place to live. Highly recommend if you can snag a spot!

Fantastic location. While the apartment and amenities themselves aren't the nicest considering the price, the close proximity to the beach and PB/La Jolla area is the main draw. Also, John who works in the front office is super helpful and kind.

My roommates and I lived at Casa Del Norte for 3 1/2 years, and we hated to leave this complex but we're all going our separate ways. I've enjoyed everything about living here! I thought coming into a big, sought-after complex like this that management would see me as just another tennant among many, but they have been so caring and attentive throughout the years. Allison and Keryn have been consistently professional and helpful, and I hope that my new apartment managers are as great as they have been! Besides management, some HUGE pros to living here are: 1. Paying rent through an online portal made it so easy and seamless. 2. Using that same portal to request maintenance. We only needed maintenance about 3 times for small issues during the time we were there, but the gentleman working always had the problem fixed the following day. 3. The complex is located in a very safe neighborhood. I never once felt scared walking from my car to my apartment. Aside from occasional chatter in the hallways, we never had an issue with loud neighbors. Having security walk the premises at night is a huge plus as well. 4. Parking in San Diego, in general, can be a nightmare, but 90% of the time there was parking on the street right out front. For the other 10% of the time we parked in a neighborhood right behind the complex.. 20ft further away than street parking so right around the corner. 5. I cant comment on the other apartments, but our particular unit that faced the neighborhood remained quite cool. 6. The space, as far as square footage and storage, was incredible in our unit! They also offer free outdoor, private storage units you can use. 7. Having two pools and a common area to have bbq's and get togethers was an added bonus. I must admit, though, that I never touched the pools because I preferred walking down to the beach. Sorry for the long, drawnout review, but Im just really happy that I was able to live in this complex for the past few years and wanted to share how great my experience was!

The leasing office never follows up on noise complaints other than paying lip service (BS). Loud and drunken parties are the norm here and I am just sick of it. I can not wait to find another place. I am paying 3,300 dollars to be driven mad by all the noise. Too bad the leasing office does not give a damn!

Excited to live here! Sara (manager) has been nothing but so helpful with my move to San Diego. Her warmth and attentiveness to details has been so reliable as a future tenant. She helped me find the perfect condo from the four buildings on site. Sara has gone out of her way to help me with anything I've needed. She is literally the best!! The central location you can't beat right by tourmaline beach. The units are spacious and the ocean views are unreal! Safe and covered parking, two pools and hot tubs, bbq area and a community feel. Walking distance to a lot of shops and restaurants. Join the chill vibes of the casas and live by the beach!

Location and amenities are amazing, but there has been a recent change in management that has changed my opinion of this building. Jessica and Amy were phenomenal at their jobs. They were nice, excellent communicators, and prompt. I never ran into any trouble when they were still around. Since the change in management, I've felt that things go a lot slower and I, as the tenant, have to take more initiative in following up and making sure things get done. I know I am not the only one who shares this feeling either, since I've met other tenants in the common areas who are unimpressed by the new management. But the location and amenities are enough for you to like the place. I mean you only really have to deal with the leasing office every once in a while, right?

THIS is why I picked apartment living. The management here is great and having someone to fix things (usually) within 24 hours is super convenient. Unlike other property managers, the Casas by the Sea management is on site which in my opinion makes a big difference in customer service. The location is great because it's far enough from the craziness that is downtown PB, yet close enough to be able to walk there when you do feel like enjoying a night out. Street parking isn't a problem like the blocks around Garnet. Turquoise is a great nearby street with fun bars and cafes. Bird Rock and La Jolla are also close, which offer other great dining options. The grocery store and best tacos in San Diego are a block away. With the ocean a stone's throw away, these apartments are truly in the ideal location. (Not to mention there are pools, too!) Another factor that was very important to us when seeking out an apartment home was safety. We have felt very safe living here for four years knowing that the building is secure and someone patrols the property as well. Being that the boulevard is a busy street, we have never had to feel unsafe walking to the complex at night. I have nothing but good things to say about my living experience at Casas by the Sea.

I lived in Casa Del Norte for over 3 years and I loved it. Keryn and Allison were very helpful, friendly and responsive if I ever had any questions. They knew who I was, and we had a great relationship. I always felt safe, the place was clean, and the location can't be beat. Right next to the beach, in North PB- just close enough to the bars and boardwalk if you want to dabble, but far enough away that it was peaceful at night. I have a lot of good memories here, and highly recommend to anyone.

Lived here for 18 months in 2013-2015 timeframe. My particular unit was a little out-dated in the kitchen with very basic appliances, but I knew that going in and the large amount of storage space (with additional in carport areas), and the view, made the stay worth it. The building itself could also use some updates. BUT, that being said, the building and unit is certainly in good repair and clean. Some of the units are updated. The management is very kind, courteous, and FAST with regard to repairs. I didn't require much during my stay, but when I asked for maintenance action, it was completed right away. The leasing office even takes care of large packages when asked. I recommend living here if you want to pay for the view. Spacious floor plans, kind management and amenities to offer make it a nice stay.

Overall clean and fairly well maintained. I have a couple of big issues though. Primarily the rent increases are outrageous. Was told by management that they are keeping up with market in the area. The leasing office advertises open apartments of the same size for almost $700 less than what the new rent will be. 3 people on the same floor have already moved out. I realize San Diego has no rent control but this is ridiculous and I feel taken advantage of. The

Very unfriendly place to live. Very very very quiet which is a plus, but he management is VERY unprofessional and do not take care of any problems. They barely know how to change the name from the previous owner in the mail box to the current resident. Takes them a while to get back to you when ask for help. The maintenance man is rude and disrespectful and is very degrading and talks down to you. Horrible parking, very outdated, and all around dirty. The pool is disgusting and very uninviting,
