Our stay at Casa Delfino was absolutely wonderful from start to finish. The hotel itself is a beautifully restored 17th-century Venetian mansion tucked away in the heart of Chania’s Old Town — peaceful, elegant, and full of charm. It’s only a short stroll from the waterfront and the many lovely restaurants and cafés that make Chania such a quaint and enchanting town.
From the moment we arrived, the service was exceptional. Margarita, the owner, was super lovely and incredibly informative — she took the time to share local recommendations and made us feel truly welcome. It was such a thoughtful touch to be collected from the nearby car park and brought to the hotel in a little golf buggy, which made arrival smooth and stress-free.
Our room was beautifully presented and very comfortable, with all the small details that make a stay feel special. Breakfast in the tranquil courtyard was a highlight — fresh local produce, homemade pastries, and excellent coffee. We also enjoyed the spa, where Maya gave a deeply therapeutic massage in the hammam — one of the best we’ve had anywhere.
The rooftop terrace is another gem: the views over the harbour and the rooftops of Chania are simply stunning, especially at sunset. Every part of the hotel feels cared for, from the decor to the warm, personal service.
Casa Delfino is a true oasis in one of Crete’s loveliest towns. We left feeling relaxed, restored, and already planning to return.
