The 14 Best Restaurants Where First-Time Las Vegas Visitors Should Eat | Eater Vegas

"At this off-Strip Italian restaurant, feast on generous servings of linguine bolognese, pasta carbonara, and ossu bucco in a classic restaurant with Rat Pack vibes. Inside, live jazz is performed nightly. Outside on the patio, find yet another classic Vegas dining trend — the tiki bar. If you’re staying on the Strip, give the restaurant a call at 702-433-4967 for free transportation." - Janna Karel

Where to find osso buco at Las Vegas restaurants - Eater Vegas

"Casa Di Amore offers an appetizer-sized option for diners who love osso buco. The much-loved dish includes a mini veal shank with demi-glaze served with a generous portion of creamy risotto. The Italian dish is best enjoyed with an evening of live jazz, which is offered six nights a week." - Krista Diamond

I have driven by and finally got to go. First make a reservation for a table. They have outside seating as well. The security guard was helpful in helping with parking and informing us of what we were in for. This place has been here 20 years and we loved that it was like going back in time. They do have gluten free options for pizza crust and certain noodles. Our waitress Nicole was amazing with going over the menu and the history of the restaurant. We started with Caesar salad and then veal and I got the salmon. One the salmon was really huge compared to the other places. The vegetables were really good and we had Cadillac margaritas. The live music both inside and outside was really great. The outside was cool and perfect temperature from the mist machine. We spent a little over $100 for two ppl and it was worth it. Can’t wait to come back with some more friends and try their wings.

I was craving pasta & after looking through tons of places, Casa Di Amore stood out & I’m so glad it did! From the moment we walked in, we felt so welcomed. Our server Debbie was amazing, friendly, honest, & super helpful. We had the Caesar salads, mozzarella sticks, & I went with the lasagna (Debbie’s favorite), & WOW.. absolutely incredible. We ended with the tiramisu & it was like a slice of heaven. Everything completely exceeded expectations. Can’t wait to come back. This place is officially a new favorite!

Google
Was feeling like pasta today and this place kept coming up on my search for off strip Italian food. Appetizer portions are large and great shareables. Main courses were average size, good for individual meal. I'd rate the food a 3.5 but no option so... Different items on the menu I will try if I return. It has the old school feels so don't go if you don't appreciate that.

Google
The food? Absolutely amazing. The veal was super tender and juicy, the gnocchi was spot on, and that garlic bread is soft, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned. No complaints at all on the food. What really stood out was the service and the vibe of the place. The staff made us feel genuinely welcome, like we were special guests. Definitely coming back for more.

Google
The entire experience will last my lifetime and each time we go simply adds to the wonders of the past. Food is amazing the Bone in Veal is OUTSTANDING and the Veal Osso Bucco was perfection... Save the marrow for last. Oh and the beverages are WORTH the price... I honestly would NEVER miss the opportunity to dine there... Historic and yet totally familiar... Perfect for special occasions and family nights both. They made our anniversary a memory that is shared. Thank to All.

If you are on the fence with checking out this place, just do it! The ambiance was amazing! The service, food, and energy were upbeat and inviting. The service was impeccable and filled with passion for this place. It was intoxicating! For our first visit, we went simple, fried mozzarella, chicken parm, and fettuccine alfredo with chicken. We rounded out the meal with an espresso martini...high recommend. Robyn was our server, and she was kind, knowledgeable, and attentive!

Google
What a fantastic Italian restaurant off the strip! So authentic and there is so much character in this place. We started off with the fried ravioli which came with the most delicious marinara sauce I have ever had. Bread is also given which was quite good. My main was the chicken parmigiana with fettuccini Alfredo. *chefs kiss *. Hubby had the chicken francaise which l was cooked to perfection. The chicken was so tender - perfection! We were way too full to try any dessert but their menu looks tempting. Maybe next time. Our waitress was Robyn who was such a pleasure to deal with. So friendly and extremely knowledgeable of the menu - her suggestions and tips were welcome ! If you find yourself in Vegas and want some authentic Italian food … go off the strip and come here. You won’t regret it!

Google
We had our wedding dinner-reception here. There were minor inconveniences like noise level for talking with guests and making toasts, also our whole party was not seated together but that’s understandable (one long table plus a booth for 22 of us) BUT I still give 5 stars overall because these things make sense for a Saturday night at 7pm! It’s a small restaurant but super cool old Vegas vibe, love the way it is decorated. We started with drinks at the attached Tiki Bar, super cute & laid-back outdoor bar, good drinks. Our servers were really attentive and nice. The piano guy was great, added to the overall ambience. Food was great, I ordered the baked ziti on a whim and it was DELICIOUS. They printed personalized menus for us listing the main entrees for our guests to choose from. We had a cake delivered a few hours ahead and they served us the cake after we took photos, offered us coffee, and the mini cannolis as part of our dining plan were delicious. (All our food was part of a set dining menu for parties larger than 15). We had a few people leave early to catch a concert that had a time change and they gladly packed away their food to go. Looking forward to going back just Hubby and I next time we are in Vegas!

Yelp
I love this place! Food was great! Service is always great. Ambiance old Vegas, which is the best part of Vegas.

Yelp
This place is amazing day or night. Great food, service, ambiance. The cocktail and wine lists are unique and varied. The weekend tiki bar is such a chill and relaxing vibe. You can't go wrong with whatever menu item you choose. Love this place!

Yelp
Not a looker from the outside, but once you enter you are transported to the golden age of Vegas. Great, attentive, easy going, genuine service. Visited on a Saturday night and Randy on the piano really set the stage for a wonderful evening. Bread, salad, cocktails, pasta. All came out quickly, tasted fresh and amazing and was coursed properly. The entire restaurant operates like a well oiled machine and the prices were so reasonable compared to the strip. Great for intimate diners or big parties. Randy was so classy and had a great selection of songs. Definitely created a great ambiance and all the customers agreed based on the amount of tips he was getting. Great place

Yelp
When are we are in Vegas we always make sure to visit. We discovered the place watching our guilty pleasure Jersey Shore. We have dined as a couple and most recently went with our adult children to celebrate a milestone birthday. The food is always on point. Enough to fill you up and not leave hungry. May be a little steep in price but I don't mind paying a little more if the food is good, service is good and the ambiance is nice. The reason for 4 stars is due to their "free" shuttle service. They advertise on line they offer complimentary shuttle service. We called for it and was told the pick up time was after our reservation. We asked if they could shuttle us back to our hotel on the strip and they said see the host when we are done dining. After we dined we asked about the shuttle service and a woman came over and said they would be happy to take us back and it would be a $20 charge. This was the reason for taking a star away because it can't be considered complimentary when you charge $20? Not like I wouldn't tip the driver but I decided ride share was a cheaper option to return to my hotel. This wouldn't prevent us from dining again but doesn't sit well when you advertise online complimentary shuttle service.

Yelp
Went there after a 10 year wedding renewal. I was skeptical just b/c it wasn't "fancy." Well, their food is delish, so they don't need "fancy." I worked with catering department and they were super quick with the response and we were able to book and have everything ready within a couple of days. Easy peasy. Little dive-ish, but live music. Since we are from Hawaii, he played the Hawaiian Wedding Song so the couple could dance. Our waiters were really awesome. One guy could totally be an auctioneer and was a little fast for me, but I like the waste-no-time quickness of it. We started with way too many apps, but some I think I would go back just for: - Ceasar Salad and Prosciutto Salads - both good - Cheesey garlic bread - I loved it. Others thought it was too oreganoy - Osso Buco - OH.MY.GOD. YUM. The risotto was even more YUM with it. - Calamari and Scallop, but changed to scampi stype instead of the red sauce. That sauce...I wanted to drink that up and deal with the consequences later...but I'm a lady. - Meatballs - I didn't get a chance to taste that. I got the special which was a Surf and Turf, filet and shrimp with a cajun creamy sauce. Sauce lacked cajun, but was still tasty. My friend had the crab and shrimp ravioli...that was my 2nd choice. It was delish. Kinda wish I got that instead. There was veal picatta, veal parm, clams and a variety of other entrees. Nobody left disappointed. We were all so full, we had to even cancel the rest of the events for the night. Any apprehensions I had about that place...squashed. I'm going back next time I hit up Vegas.

Yelp
My experience here last week is why I always tell people that when in Vegas get off the strip and find great local finds like Casa Di Amore. Located just minutes from the strip this is a must stop if you are in town. Walking up it doesn't look anything special but once inside that's where the magic is. Inside takes you back in time to the 1950-1950's with that classic old school vibe. The night I was there they were very busy and I would highly suggest making a reservation. I was able to sit at the bar and was lucky to get that seat. Once seated that's where everything great about this place came together. The service was A+ and my bartender was so incredibly nice and friendly. To start I had one of their old fashions and a salad. The salad was huge and easily shareable. For dinner I had the chicken piccata and it was so delicious I ate every bite and then moped up the last remaining bits with some bread. I ended up hanging out for a little while and enjoyed a glass of wine all because I just loved the atmosphere and vibe of this place. All the employees were so incredibly nice and friendly and would for sure have me coming back.

Yelp
Made a reservation for Mother's Day/my birthday while visiting from San Diego. The closest to 630 that I vpuld get was 8:30pm but I somehow convinced myself it was for 8pm on the day of. We arrived 40 minutes early but they were able to seat us right away. Our server Stefan was attentive and informative. Every staff member was attentive and accommodating actually. No drink glass was ever close to empty, finished plates were immediately picked up. My bf reopped his napkin and the hostess immediately and proactively replaced it. The vibe jusr can't be beat. Great decor with framed screens shuffling pictures of old vegas. The live lounge music was a nice touch. The order- Shared: Meatball appetizer (complimentary birthday app) - pretty tasty the sauce was lovely Warm garlic bread - oh so fresh and soft Spumoni desseet - delicious and large enough for 3 Birthday canoli - sweet ricotta us not really my thing Me: osso bucco - oh my goodness so tender and flavorful the rissotto was cooked perfectly. There was so much delicious marrow! The best I've ever had, seriously such an amazing birthday meal! Mom: shrimp scampi with linguine - shrimps were huge! Sauce was garlicky probably could have used a bit more sauce. The BF: ribeye medium rare with fetuccine alfredo. Ptime cut cooked to perfectionand a very tasty alfredo sauce. We'll dine here every time we are in town!

Yelp
Wow, can't recommend this place enough! Old-school vibe with traditional customer service where servers go above and beyond with recommendations and care. Incredible food! My partner got gluten-free pasta with meat sauce. Said it was better than the Italian family's recipe from their great grandmother!! The live music was so fun and contributed to a great ambience. I got a sidecar that was phenomenal. Every aspect of this experience was fabulous, so much so that we had to swing by for a to-go order on our way out of town! This is a new Vegas staple! A friend told me to get a reservation and you definitely need that if you go during dinner hour.

Yelp
We picked this restaurant for its old Vegas style flare. It's an older building in an older part of town. When you walk into the red brick building, you were greeted by a Zoltar machine took me back one of my favorite classic movies"Big". They had large TVs on the wall that played old photos of Vegas. I really enjoyed watching the pictures. They did have live entertainment. There was a gentleman playing a piano and singing. We were a bit overdressed I felt I was wearing a black cocktail dress and my husband was dress pants and a dress shirt. Definitely more of a casual place. We had reservations, but arrived about 20 minutes prior and they were still able to seat us. The restaurant was pretty busy with most tables occupied. I do recommend reservations. Food- the food was average. I got the raviolis with Pomodoro sauce and my husband got the fettuccine Alfredo with chicken. We started with the house salad. We ordered it with Italian dressing, and it was large enough to feed 2 to 3 people. My husband's favorite thing was the bread. It's a little bit larger than the size of a baguette and toasted on the outside.
google avatar

Devin F.

Yelp
Good place. Wish I was there for the later entertainment than the earlier crooner. But the live entertainment matched the esthetic. It's very old Vegas feel. Nothing wrong with it. Came highly recommended and was pretty good. Ended up a bit warm inside and food we got was pretty good. Honestly. If old Vegas and ambiance is what you're after, you might be hard pressed to find a better atmosphere than what's going on here.

Yelp
Yelp Review 2024 #33: A group of us were in the area and we were super hungry, one of us is vegetarian so, where can we go? A friend of ours who was with us recommended this place because she has eaten here before. The restaurants in this area aren't fancy-looking and look sketchy even. However, some places will surprise you with what they have to offer. This is an old-timey Italian restaurant close to the airport. The parking lot is small. Once you walk in, you get smacked in the face by the smell of cheese! The lighting is very red. We were given a basket of fresh, hot and tasty bread as we looked at the menu. They have appetizers, pasta, panini, pasta, and desserts. Calamari: Lightly breaded and fried tender rings and tentacles of squid. The marinara sauce was just right. I finished the whole plate by myself. 4/5 Lasagna: It's on the smaller normal human serving size but since I ate a whole plate of calamari, I was able to take some of my lasagna to-go. I like day-old lasagna better because the noodles soak in all that bolognese saucy goodness. 4/5 Beef and Cheese Panini: The description on the menu would make your mouth water. However, when we got the sandwich, it was one the dry side and it was underwhelming. The fries were good though. If this came with just, it would've been so much better. 2/5 Bread: I know this is complimentary but it deserves its own rating! As I briefly mentioned earlier, you get a basket of hot and tasty bread. Brown, crunchy, buttery on the outside and soft and pillowy on the inside sprinkled with grated parmesan cheese. Sop up any saucy pasta dishes with this bread. They were so good we had to ask for a second basket! 5/5 The service is also old-timey. Attentive and caring like your own mother. And the diners here seem like they've been coming here for years.

Yelp
Looking for delicious food, amazing service, and delicious drinks? Look no further! We arrived during happy hour, so we took advantage of this and had some superb drinks. Our lovely waitress recommended their famous margarita. I had the Tommy's Margarita and all I can say is that it's one of the best margaritas' I've ever had. I ordered the shrimp and crab ravioli and it was amazing beyond words. I do recommend that you reserve a table before arriving as they do get busy. You can call or make reservations online. There is a Tiki Bar located in the back of the restaurant but it's currently closed for the season. Looks like a cool outdoor hang-out spot. I'll be back when I'm in Vegas again.
google avatar

Cindy K.

Yelp
This is a great place. I would highly recommend it. The entrance is spectacular. Posters and comfy places to wait. There's also a bar outside-it looks like a tiki bar I think...I didn't really see much of it. The inside has dim red lighting. There are frames that change and show vintage Vegas photos every 30 seconds or so. Our server was very attentive and incredible. She made some great recommendations. We started off with the garlic cheese loaf. So delicious!!! Then I got chicken Francaise. Here it has mushrooms in it. I'm from where Chicken French is from. Well, this dish was delicious. It was not chicken French. The sauce was a bit thick, almost gelatinous and kind of brown and traditionally. French sauce is made with lemon and white wine and kind of runny. There was hardly a discernible lemon flavor to it, but the chicken was fantastic. My friend got the baked ziti and she said in some parts, the sauce tasted peppery and other parts. The sauce tasted sweet and it gave her quite a bit of heartburn later. So if sauce doesn't really agree with you, this might be a little bit aggressive for you. I tasted it. I thought it was very good. I got a sweet bite of the sauce. To wash all down with I got a desert in cocktail and that's where it's at my friend got the sands and that was quite bitter. We got crème brûlée for dessert and this crème brûlée was probably the best crème brûlée ever had in my life. I think it had a slight lemony taste to it. My friend did not agree. But I'm not gonna pretend to be some kind of a foodie because honestly my palate is that of a 12-year-old. I got some fried ravioli and tiramisu to go. I haven't tried that yet and with dessert I decided to have the peanut butter cocktail and it was very strong. I didn't drink it. My friend liked it, but the server did take it off my bill because I didn't care for it If you go often enough, there is a loyalty card they'll give you if you're a local. This is truly a hidden gem. .

Yelp
We literally live 4 blocks from Casa and have been coming for years. We had guests from out of town so I made reservations a couple weeks in advance. Tables and times were hard to find but we reserved a 6:45p. On a Sunday. Walked in, seated right away. Asked where our favorite server was, response: "he's not here tonight" Lots of empty tables that never filled up. Service was good however the food seems to have degressed. Our company was very disappointed with their food and it was embarrassing. I'm wondering if something has changed in the back and there's a lack of servers thus the empty tables? They do have live entertainment which is a plus but something has changed and not in a good way.

Yelp
Saw this place on Jersey Shote Vacation (don't judge lol) and when we went to LV I just had to try it. A bit off the strip which is actually a nice reprieve. And I felt prices were really reasonable especially for Vegas. They had live music / singer who even sang happy birthday to my friend and brought her a dessert. I got chicken parm and it was great. We got some apps like garlic bread (honestly o forget what else lol). But everything was delicious and service was great. And for how much our party of 5 ordered between drinks/ apps/ desert it was very reasonable.

Thomas R.

Yelp
Food was amazing and the portions were generous! The atmosphere was old school Italian with lots of photos of Old Vegas on the walls. The Rat Pack, Sinatra, 1950's Vegas. It was the best Veal Parmigiana I have had in a while! Bone in no less!
google avatar

Gabby M.

Yelp
I found out about this restaurant from "Jersey Shore: Family Vacation" and when my boyfriend and I took a trip to Vegas we had to go. I only got a pic of our first dish, but EVERYTHING was delicious!!! The inside is also super cute and everyone was attentive and kind.

Yelp
Was trying to find a place to take some out of town friends. Wanted to have good energy and a taste of Vegas. Casa di Amore nailed it! Drinks were strong, live music was going, servers energetic and tasty food. Scallops were a bit "fishy" but everything else was good. We had planned to have drinks at the tiki bar after, but were bummed to find out it was closed. So without a backup plan, we went back to the bar but there weren't enough seats. We were standing around waiting for some seats to open up, and one of the bartenders gave us some attitude, which was a little odd, considering we just had dinner and tipped around $100. But aside from that, great time, great vibes.
google avatar

Christina M.

Yelp
This is my third time here and each time it's just as great. I would definitely recommend making reservations because they are always so busy. There is a parking lot that fills up quickly. They will pick you up if you make advance reservations with them. Upon entering, we are always warmly greeted. Our waiters and waitresses have always been phenomenal, as well. Inside is dimly lit with a musician playing at times. There are booths, tables and even a bar for you to sit at. I always order the cioppino and it's one of the best I've ever had. It contains lobster, shrimp, crab, scallops, clams ... with a thick and rich tomato base.
google avatar

Dewi A.

Yelp
Fun, lively, casual, old-school Italian atmosphere. Nicole, our server, was great -- friendly without trying to upsell. Easy conversationalist. Mom and I ordered the calamari, blackened swordfish, and osso bucco. Everything was tasty -- the swordfish was not overcooked, and my veal shank was oh so tender! The creamy risotto on both plates was delicious. I'm docking 1 star for the calamari, which we found to be OVERBREADED. There was also a lack of seasoning or just salt even on the breading. The calamari rings were a tad chewier than we'd like, and the marinara sauce to calamari ratio was off. There was not enough sauce. All in all though. A very nice Christmas dinner. Def book a res as this local spot gets busy! Plenty of free parking available on-site

Yelp
When in Las Vegas, Casa Di Amore is on my must visit list for Italian restaurants. I took my cousin Jay here for Super Bowl Weekend and we went for dinner. Happy hour is from 3-5pm and they offer discounts on drinks and 1/2 price pizza. Jay and I ordered two house scotches, an 805 beer, the eggplant rollatini, fried calamari, veal marsala, chicken parmesean, and the meat lovers pizza. All of the above choices were 5/5 except the chicken parmesean which Jay ordered and gave a 3.5/ 5. The house scotch was surprisingly enjoyable. The complimentary bread was also soft and delicious. Special shout out to the bar staff Roshy and Robin who were both very kind to us. We wanted to especially highlight Roshy who took some time to tell what her favorite dishes were and gave us positive feedback on the dishes we ordered. Roshy was a true ambassador for Casa Di Amore and represented the restaurant with class. We hope to see her again in the future.

Yelp
I'm new in town. I brought my wife for a romantic birthday dinner and was not disappointed. The piano player, singer was amazing. Stephan was super nice and attentive. The food was top notch. The prices are reasonable. I will be back soon.

Yelp
Food was amazing. Many options, some are shareable. Bring your appetite. I recommend the Tiki bar out back.

Yelp
We came here to celebrate my mom's 80th birthday (party of 18). Be sure to make reservations ahead of time especially for dinner service. The place itself is small and extremely cluttered, barely inches apart from the next party. This maybe different if you were to dine during non peak hours. MTV did an amazing job taping from angles that gave it the illusion that the restaurant a large venue that can hold large parties and in MTVs case an entire film crew at that. Anyway, as we were a party of 18, everyone seemed to be pleased with their plate selection. My daughter and I shared the spaghetti with bolognese sauce, but the sauce was too spicy for my 7yr old. Otherwise for me if was good. Someone from party was dissatisfied with the chicken Parm sandwich. We all did family style on the Caesar salad, bread, and fried calamari. 3 orders of each and kept everyone satisfied and for me full. It is a drive away from the strip, but it was refreshing to be outside of the strip. I would return to dine here.
google avatar

Herman M.

Yelp
Been meaning to stop here for the last 2 years. Finally made it. Food and service were excellent. Will become a regular stop from now on when i come to vegas. Had the calamari and mozzarella sticks for appetizers and the chicken parm for dinner. We also got a pizza for the table. And a cannoli for desert everything was excellent.

Yelp
One of my favorite restaurants to visit when I'm in town and quite possibly my favorite Italian restaurant in America. I've frequented this place over the years and never had a bad meal. Debbie the waitress is a bonafide rockstar and truly a doll. This is a quintessential old school Vegas staple and you know it's good because you'll see a lot of locals eating there. A must try for any Italian food lover.
google avatar

Trina B.

Yelp
What a great authentic Italian spot ! What a hidden gem. Very quaint and live music with a classy feel. The service was top Notch and the salads , appetizers, and pasta were all simply delish and freshly handmade. Visiting from out of town and this place was recommended by one of the ladies in our party. We met the owner who greeted us and made the evening extra special.
google avatar

Katie E.

Yelp
Everything was so amazing I loved the atmosphere of the restaurant and the live jazz. I got the shrimp scampi and my boyfriend got the chicken Alfredo and they were delicious. The service was excellent, and everyone was so nice!
google avatar

Mariah D.

Yelp
The service, food and drinks are superb, while the live music adds a charming touch. Celebrating? They'll make it special with a cute announcement. The complimentary bread, drizzled in olive oil and seasoned with herbs, sets the stage for a delightful meal. Our chicken parmigiana and pesto chicken pizza were outstanding, easily the best classic Italian cuisine I've had in Vegas. The ambience is lovely and welcoming. A must-visit if you're in the mood for Italian and great dining experience

Yelp
I was on a three year long losing streak. This is where it finally ended. For three years every time I picked a restaurant to celebrate a Special Occasion it turned into some kind of disaster. Even if it was a place I had been to before and had always had good luck with, when it would come to that Special Night everything would go ham. Birthdays, Anniversaries, Special Date nights. Time after time, something weird would happen. Often I'd go to an expensive steakhouse that got solid Yelp reviews, and I'd get served a really mediocre steak. I had so many mediocre steaks I quit ordering steaks. It seemed like I only had this issue when I was celebrating a Special Occasion. One New Year's Eve during my losing streak I went to a popular local fish house. I had eaten there many times, I liked the place a lot. I ordered Cioppino, one of my favorite dishes. When it came to the table it had a huge stalk of Broccoli standing up in the middle of the bowl. What the hell? What the hell in hell? I freaking hate broccoli, and there was a god damn Broccoli Tree in the middle of my soup. Maybe the Broccoli was a warning, because the soup sucked too. I got so frustrated I just flat gave up. I said, that's it for me. I declared that I was never going to go anywhere upscale to celebrate anything anymore. I'll just go to a damn chain restaurant and cut my losses. And, for a good long while, that's just what I did. But then I started talking to my great Yelp Friend from Reseda, Jamie V. I was getting ready to head to Vegas and I always like to talk to Jamie before I go because he is a bona fide Vegas expert. He knows where to stay and where to play, and most importantly, where to eat. Jamie recommended this place. He said, Mikey, listen to me, go to Casa di Amore and get the Veal Parmigiana. Are you listening to me? Get the Veal, ok? You're going to love it. And order a martini too. And the dude knew exactly what he was talking about. I decided to hit this place up with my Beautiful Wife to celebrate my Birthday. The restaurant was romantic AF, kinda dark and sophisticated. There were good tunes playing when were first seated, like Sinatra or Tony Bennett or Dean Martin. Mid way through the meal a live jazz combo assembled and began playing. My wife had the Frutti di Mare and loved it. I had the Veal and it was just as good as Jamie said it would be. I was exultant. My Special Occasion Losing Streak was smashed. I was back in the Black. The following year we came back for another Special Occasion. This time I ordered Cioppino. It was the first time I had ordered it since the horrible experience I had with the god damn Broccoli Tree Cioppino incident. The Cioppino here was the best I've ever had, and I've had a lot of Cioppinos. It's just perfect. Rich flavorful broth, plenty of mussels and clams, little crab pinchers, tender fish, just perfect. Finally I could put the horror of the Broccoli Tree Cioppino fiasco behind me. And I put the misery of that whole three year losing streak behind me too. I hit up Jamie V for more recommendations and every one was a spectacular victory, among them Bavette's Steakhouse at the Park MGM, and THE Steakhouse at Circus Circus. Ain't no two ways about it, the guy knows where to find the best steaks! Thank you, Jamie! It's not unusual to hear people say they are looking for a taste of old school Las Vegas. Some place that still has a little of that swinging 60s vibe. If that's what you are looking for, I heartily recommend Casa di Amore. Or as my friend Ken calls it, Mojo Dojo Casa di Amore House! Mikey C says: the summer wind, came blowin' in from across the sea...

Yelp
My husband and I went here for the first time Saturday to celebrate our 26th Anniversary. Upon walking in the vibe was good! It was super busy that night around 8pm. We got seated right away as we had a reservation. (My only complaint was our seating which you'll read why later) Our waitress came promptly and took our drink orders. Drinks were good! Decent price at $15 each which is expected. Our appetizers came out quickly as well. Once we ordered Dinner that came out quickly too. All of our food was good. My husband got the Shrimp Scampi & I got Chicken Parm. The only complaint that my husband and I both agreed on was that near the end of our dinner, my husband faintly heard our names, we were both wondering what it was, and it ended up being the Piano guy dedicating a song to us. We heard it in the middle/end of his song and by the time we realized it, it was over. The reason we didn't hear it was because they sat us at the very last small table right near the bar exit where people were coming in and out all night long. The door closing and opening every minute. That table is horrible for a couple celebrating an Anniversary. People kept coming in and out constantly. The table was very small and we had barely any space. We were so cramped. We also missed the live entertainment, and the chance to enjoy the Piano guy and his sweet dedication to us. We were kinda sad at the end of the night. But other than that everything else was good. I would definitely come back to celebrate another Anniversary, however I would highly recommend that if you know the Piano guy is going to dedicate a song to couples celebrating their Anniversary sit them where they can actually see and enjoy the entertainment. I get it, it's only 2 people and you're trying to maximize capacity but for a special occasion for a couple celebrating 26 years I'm sure you can make an exception and sit them at the nice, spacious booth where they can enjoy the entire restaurant and not the exit door.

Yelp
What a gem!!! First, the service on both visits was awesome. Our first server was Tony, and our recent visit was Debbie. Both are assets to this restaurant. What was impressive is that Debbie didn't write our order on a notepad and remembered our order. Food: Complimentary Garlic Bread Burrata Melanzana Pasta Carbonara Spaghetti Aglio E Ouo Pork Chops with Vinegar and Pepper Shrimp with melted cheese (forgot name) Hands down the best garlic bread and carbonara in Vegas. All the dishes were delicious and and the pork chop was bold in flavor. I love Vinegar flavor. The least favorite dish is the Spaghetti Olio. It was dry compared to other Spaghetti Olio I've had. Maybe a little more olive oil would have been better. Overall, I enjoyed the live music and atmosphere. Check out the Tiki Bar in the back, too.

Yelp
Let me start by saying, our experience wasn't perfect, but hey, nothing in life is. All in all though, CDA left a great lasting impression. The down home red leather booths, dim lighting, and live band were totally my scene. Service was friendly and helpful, but our entrees took long to arrive. Caesar salad was just OK. The dressing seemed bottled. Complementary garlic bread was a nice touch. And now, for the piece de la resistance that will have us coming back for more... I had asked our server (Nicole) to help me choose an entree... it was between the meatball parm sub, shrimp parmesan, or bolognese. I would've never ordered this on my own, but she suggested I get the shrimp parm, AND add a scoop of bolognese sauce to the pasta. OMG OMG OMG... I never knew this is what I needed in my life!! So tasty, and the texture they got on the shrimp and the bolognese sauce was SO AMAZING. What am I gonna do in LA without a shrimp parm now?? Guess we'll have to make a trip back!!

Yelp
Oh this place.. wow. If you do not like live music don't come here and be sassy pants over it. Friendly entertainment, kind & knowledgeable staff, tasty, tasty, tasty.. The calamari here is my favorite from any other restaurant in town. The wine is great as well! You can't go wrong with anything on the menu

Yelp
This restaurant is a classic to the city and has been around for many years! We were here to celebrate my dear friend's birthday! The service was amazing as soon as you walk in and including the waitress she was amazing and continued to make sure we were good throughout the night. It is best to reserve for your spot because this placed was packed on this Saturday night. There's live music and it is quite loud but understandable and within reason. The food is delicious, hot, and plenty for the table it reminds me of family platters! The ambiance is old school Italian restaurant with the furniture to tables definitely a rustic, homey feel! Even their drink selection was great and my favorite definitely had to be The Riviera!!! From top to bottom, the food to drinks including service was absolutely amazing!!!

Yelp
We decided to go off the beaten path and try Casa di Amore, we are glad we did and we will be back! Our waiter Ernie was amazing along with all of the other staff members who checked on us often. Ordered the veal Milanese and the grilled salmon and both were prepared perfectly and tasted great. Had to seal the deal with a piece of tiramisu which was amazing. Will definitely be back!

Yelp
This Italian gem did not disappoint! Definitely worth the trip away from the strip. Make reservations because people know about this great food! Before our dinner, we grabbed cocktails at the bar. It's a tight fit! This restaurant is not that big. Our server was very friendly, knowledgeable, & friendly! Every meal our table ordered was Ooohed and Ahhhed about. The broth of the cioppino was amazing! We will definitely return when visiting LV!

Yelp
We ate our food so fast we didn't take any pictures! It so tasty. Their house bread has a garlic glaze that is so flavorful. The caprese was outstanding and came out very quick. My husband and I shared the lasagna and a Caesar salad. And it was just the right amount of food for us. We had tickets to a show so we couldn't stay and enjoy the live music or dessert. Apparently, they have live music everyday. Starting at 6pm. I highly recommend reservations because it gets very packed in there. The restaurant itself is not very large and I can see why it fills up fast

Yelp
Pros: Great family style Italian food, wonderful staff, lots of food and drink options. Cons: Not a con on the place, but make sure to make a reservation during popular times (this place is popular) Details: We have gone to Casa a few times, mainly for special occasions. The food is always so good. They have a ton of great items on their menu, and they always have some special non-menu items going on. We've had steak, pasta, chicken, seafood, salad, desserts - all fantastic. The portions are very generous, hard not to take a box home. Also, they have a good sized wine list and some good cocktails. Inside is a lot of throw back to older Las Vegas and definitely Italian style. One of those places I notice something new each time. They occasionally have live music too. To top it all off, the service has always been top notch. I highly recommend. Pro tip, during the summer, Tiki Di Amore is open on the back patio.

Yelp
My family was here from California and chose here for a post Thanksgiving dinner. We made a reservation and it was so busy, even a couple weeks ago, that it was for 4:45 pm! When we got there we were seated immediately even though everyone wasn't there yet, there were 8 + a baby. They don't have the high chairs that hold a car seat so if you have an infant request a booth or be prepared to hold your baby during dinner. Stephen was our server and he was very attentive, almost too attentive but he seemed genuine in his approach. The restaurant is pretty loud but that's ok, the live entertainment started at 6, it was not too loud to be a distraction. The decor is old Vegas and we enjoyed looking at the photos. Food- there used to be truly something for everyone! Appetizers: Meatballs - delicious! Fried Mozzarella- Huge! Entrees: Chicken picatta- could have more lemon Pasta carbonara- ok Veal Marsala- mom liked it Pasta and clams- brother enjoyed it Pork chops with peppers and vinegar- Hubbs loved it! Pasta & Seafood- Pops loved all the seafood Spaghetti & Meatballs- daughter in law was super happy Philly Cheesesteak (told ya, something for everyone) so big my son couldn't finish it, he was happy! Dessert: Tiramisu- yum! Crème brûlée- yum! Cannoli- pop liked it! Stephen suggested a bottle of Chianti and my parents loved it. All in all a good dinner, great service and more family memories.

Yelp
Boyfriend took me here for an anniversary dinner and it was amazing. What a classic place for Italian food. Our waiter told us he lived down the street from her and before it was a Shakey's. This has a few spots to park in the front, but more in the back. There was also a Tiki bar in the back which is kinda random but it wasn't open due to weather and the season. It'll be back open in April he said. Our waiter was very helpful in assisting us to choose what was good. We got the same dish only I changed the noodles for my Bolognese. The house sauce was amazing!!! Best i've ever had actually. Only thing I love in my Bolognese is mushrooms. I wonder if I can ask them to add it next time. Other than that, we also had calamari and a nice big salad, really fresh. Their house bread was good too. We ordered 2 cocktails and those were yummy. I loved the decor here too, they had tv's everywhere and it would change screens every few seconds and it would show what Vegas used to look like back in the early years and that was so cool to see. I would definitely come back here again. Oh forgot the best part, there's live music too, it was only one guy but it was still nice to hear music and they even dedicated a song for our anniversary. There was also a wedding party, small though and they celebrated a nice dinner there. Definitely a place to visit if you're in Vegas.

Yelp
Casa Di Amore! It is our ALL TIME FAVORITE late dinner suggestion for folks! Their salads are so fresh EVERY TIME! The pizza is so yummy! Everything we've tried has been so great and they have live music on certain nights. The ding on the star is that it is so packed on most nights that short notice reservations or showing up randomly won't work. You won't get in so we end up having to go somewhere else. Other than that! Always recommend to visit it is always worth it!

Yelp
This place transports you to Sinatra and rat pack era. They have a live pianist and old school booths with pictures of Old Vegas entertainment. Yelp
I've been here 2 times already and the food, service, & ambiance has not disappointed. My favorite pasta dish is fettuccine Alfredo & the Alfredo from here is absolutely amazing! It's creamy and cheesy. This time around I ordered the chicken piccata & it was good! It wasn't too lemony which I liked but also didn't at the same time. The chicken parm is always a hit! This time around we didn't order the Caesar salad but it is really good & refreshing. My family and I will absolutely be back!
