The restaurant is incredible! It has the most warm and cozy feeling of entering Nonna's house. The food is truly amazing, the flavors are so authentic Italian. And the prices are just right. From the moment we walked in to the moment we left we felt so welcomed. We order the starter from the specials the wrapped asparagus and it was really good. Then we ordered pasta and the roller lasagna and both were amazing. We will definitely be back. Note it is cash only.

This place is amazing. We loved everything. The hot chicken, that was on special, was one of those meals I’ll think about 10 years from now.

Nestled in the heart of our vibrant community, Casa di Napoli is a hidden gem that effortlessly combines authentic Italian cuisine with the warmth of family hospitality. From the moment you step through the door, you are greeted with a charming ambiance that feels both inviting and intimate, making it the perfect spot for a casual dinner or a special celebration. The service at Casa di Napoli is truly top-notch. The staff, often family members themselves, exude a genuine passion for their craft, ensuring every guest feels right at home. Our server was attentive without being intrusive, offering thoughtful recommendations and making sure our glasses were never empty. Now, let’s talk about the food – a delightful journey through the rich flavors of Italy. We started with the fried calamari, which was perfectly crispy, tender, and accompanied by a zesty marinara sauce that left us wanting more. The Caesar salad was equally impressive, with crisp romaine, freshly shaved parmesan, and a dressing that was just the right balance of tangy and creamy. For the main course, I opted for the eggplant parmigiana, and it was nothing short of excellent. The layers of thinly sliced eggplant were beautifully breaded and fried, then baked to perfection with a rich tomato sauce and melted mozzarella that created a heavenly combination. My wife chose the stuffed artichoke as an appetizer and then the shrimp fra diavolo for her main course, which was a delightful surprise. Each bite was a burst of flavor, showcasing the care and attention that goes into every dish. To finish our meal, we couldn’t resist trying the tartufo. This decadent dessert, featuring a rich chocolate shell with a creamy filling, was the perfect ending to an already stellar dining experience. What truly sets Casa di Napoli apart is their commitment to specials that reflect the season and the chef’s creativity. Each visit promises something new and exciting, making it a place we can't wait to return to. Casa di Napoli is a must-visit for anyone seeking authentic Italian cuisine served with love and dedication. With excellent dishes across the board and exceptional service, I highly recommend this family-owned treasure. Whether you’re a local or just passing through, make sure to stop by and experience the culinary delights that await you at Casa di Napoli. You won't be disappointed!

You know it’s good when it’s a “cash only” Italian restaurant. I can’t rave about this place enough. We brought our own wine and the entire bill for 7 people was $220 which included many appetizers and desserts. Simply incredible. But the best part was meeting the owners and hearing their stories. Such friendly people. If you ever need to restore your faith in humanity, visit Casa di Napoli.

Hello Fellow Foodies! If you are looking for a taste of Italy, then you need to stop by here. The food was excellent. The taste was absolutely delicious 😋! The staff eventually warmed up to us, and the night ended pretty well. Went here for my birthday dinner. Everything we ate was done well and tatsed great. The pork chops I ordered were one of the best I have ever tasted. They were perfectly cooked, soft and so juicey! You can also BYOB or Wine, which we did! We even met the owner before leaving for the night. He was very kind. Definitely recommend the food here. They don't have a parking lot it is a small place but you can find street parking.

Google
Italian restaurant located in North Bergen. The place is beautiful! Very nice atmosphere, and everything so clean. Menu is simple, but good enough. We've had the lasagna and a parmegiana veal. The parmegiana was simply perfect, and the lasagna was good. A few details: they don't serve wine and don't take credit cards. Even though, a good option in the neighborhood.

We had a really good dinner at Casa di Napoli. Seafood was really fresh and both dishes we had were really good. We'll go back to try different pastas.

Oh my God. I'm SO glad we found this place! We almost didn't go. It was our first night in New Jersey and we were tired, but I just had this feeling to go. I get these gut feelings about places and I had it about this place. Was I right? Read on... We called to see if we could bring a bottle of wine and the lady who answered said of course! And got our reservation right then. We showed up a half hour later. The place is quaint and cute and beautiful even. Small, intimate. Clean. Greeted by the matriarch of the family who floats from table to table chatting up the patrons. Her grandson came to us immediately. His name is Joey and he is a delight! Waiters are on top of things, professional, and the place is great for a date, friend or family night. Cloth napkins, good silverware. The people next to us at the table are speaking Italian. Ok, good start! But oh my God let's get to the food. Started with the stuffed artichoke. This is the first time in the night that I closed my eyes to block out everything but the delicious flavor flooding my taste buds. Holy moly grab your grandma grab your wife. This food is the REAL DEAL. Then the main courses. Our party had the eggplant, and shrimp Parmigiano, and penne, and pesto linguine, and Broccoli Rabe and shrimp. Second time I'm eating with my eyes closed to savor every bite. We died and went to heaven. I told my partner I'm sorry I'm leaving you for Joey and I'll find out if he has a sister so we can both eat at their families house b/c I NEED this food in my life more than just once. Now I'm contemplating my whole life here, wondering why fate had me born in Southern Louisiana to cajuns, and why couldn't I have been born in Jersey to some sweet Italian grandma who cooks like this??? What a cruel toss up, fate! Ok then of course we order dessert! I've never had a Canoli so I order that. It comes, and I bite into it. I start CRYING OVER THIS DANG CANOLI. I'm sobbing a bit now because it's the best thing I've had. I've only cried twice over food in my life. Once when I went back to my hometown and had true Cajun seafood gumbo after 12 years (real Cajun not new orleans cajun) and tonight over this Canoli. I'm wiping my eyes on this towel while my partner and parents are concerned.. "Why are you crying" "Because of the canoli" "The canoli?" "Just try it!" THEN they understood. What else can I say? I've never had Italian food this good. It doesn't exist like this in the South. I will ALWAYS come back here when I visit. And our meal from start to finish was 100. For 4 people with two desserts and an appetizer and four entrees and a side. Amazing As I'm walking out I tell Joey to tell the chef that I cried over his canoli. He promises to do it. It's not a euphemism 🤣. It's really that good! We love you!

Yelp
Casa Di Napoli is a lovely small family owned business. The decor inside is very traditional and feels fancy but also at home. I enjoyed the ambiance and it is a good BYOB place to sit and chat with someone on a date. They have a special menu which was nice to see and i felt prices were reasonable. I ordered pesto pasta from the special menu and some stuffed clams, i was really happy with both and no complaints on flavor! The service was quick and front door lady was really nice on our way out, would go back just because she asked if we would and i gave her my word!

Yelp
Quintessential American / Jersey Italian restaurant in Union City. This is family run establishment and you can tell most of the customers have been dining here for years. I found Casa Di Napoli on Yelp and couldn't resist giving it a try. Sometimes you just want angel hair pasta in Alfredo sauce, you know? On Friday night, we called ahead and got a table for 8:30. It was pretty busy when we arrived with a ton of locals and regulars. They have a whiteboard with the specials of the day, plus a regular menu. I saw that the lobster ravioli was one of the most popular dishes on yelp, so we decided to share it as an appetizer. I was skeptical - but it was actually delicious. A dente pasta with a nice lobster filling and the vodka sauce was very good. My only comment would be that the ravioli skin was very thick, but still tasty. For my entrée, I went with the sole oregnata. Next time I might go with the scallops instead. I liked how this was cooked with the breadcrumbs and baked. Sole is an expensive and tricky fish to cook, maybe a little bit over, but I enjoyed it. All entrées come with a side of either pasta, baked potato, or vegetables. I upgraded my pasta to be with Alfredo sauce... A delicious addition. I was happy that the angel hair was still al dente, I love a firm noodle. The parmesan combo was pretty watery, maybe from the eggplant - probably our least favorite dish of the night. Will definitely come back. This restaurant provides really good American Italian classics that are comforting and tasty. Plus, it's BYOB! Bring a bottle of wine, they don't charge for uncorking.

Yelp
I love this restaurant. The food is always great. Family run restaurant. We have been coming here for over 25 years. Very pretty and quaint.

Yelp
Cute little joint in the heart of the city. The food is amazing and the staff is super friendly. Decorations and dim light equal the perfect ambience. 10/10. Highly recommend for dinner date or night out with friends. BYOB!

Jane M.

Yelp
Small, cozy restaurant with white table cloths and lanterns on each table. Attentive service, with waiters able to describe their dishes in detail. I ordered penne in meat sauce that came the way I like it...saucy!! My husband ordered one of the specials: eggplant and prosciutto lasagna rolled up with sauce around the edge. He found it very bland, and definitely wouldn't order it again! At the end of our meal, we discovered that they only accept cash! Usually we don't carry much cash, so this could've been a problem!

Yelp
Casa di Napoli is a cozy Italian restaurant run by an older couple and their family. The decor is a bit dated, but the food is delicious and the service is warm and friendly. We came on a weekend for dinner as a group of 2 and had a great time. We started with the bread and butter, which were both included in the meal. For the appetizer, we had the tomato and mozzarella. For our main courses, we had the baked ziti and the pesto linguine with shrimp. The baked ziti was perfectly cooked and the sauce was rich and flavorful. We finished our meal with a shared tiramisu, which was light and fluffy and had a perfect coffee flavor. Overall, we had a great experience at Casa di Napoli. The food was delicious, the service was excellent, and the atmosphere was cozy and welcoming. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to others. Tips: The restaurant is cash only and BYOB. The baked ziti is a must-try! The tiramisu is also delicious. Come with an appetite and enjoy the cozy atmosphere.

Yelp
Family style Southern Italian. Great for families and hearty appetites. Attentive staff. It's a classic.

Yelp
One of the coziest restaurants I've been to in a while. Cash only & BYOB. Neither of those were an issue for me. Staff was friendly even though it was busy and food came out in a timely manner. Everything tasted like it was a home cooked meal- wow. Good portions and very reasonably priced. I also love the fact that this a family run business and the decor was all too precious- the details got me. I'm already planning to come back soon.

Yelp
This was literally just like eating at home. I felt like I was in a cozy little dining area, just sharing food with good company, and not just the friends I was with but also all of the people at the tables around us. It's a family-run business; the grandma came by to say hi to us and give us recommendations, while our waiter was her grandson. It was adorable and warm and homey and lovely. They have a menu with standard pasta dishes and entrees, and they also have a list of the specials of the day which they write out on a white board. I ordered the lobster and shrimp aglio olio, which was exactly as advertised. If you like garlic and oil, you'll enjoy this. The shrimp was cooked so well, and once I topped it with a ton of cheese (just how I like it), it was excellent. We also got RAVE reviews about the lava cake, so I had to get it. It was warm, gooey, and exactly what I wanted. They did not skimp on the vanilla ice cream (you know how sometimes you run out of ice cream for your dessert when you get a la mode? Yeah, not with this. I'm talking two CHUNKY scoops of ice cream). And the cherry on top is that everything is so reasonably priced. I'd love to come back.

Jocelyn R.

Yelp
Highly recommend this place, it's unique and the service is amazing. The food is fantastic, rich in flavor and super fresh. The dessert is 10/10! Thank you guys for the amazing meal, my family enjoyed it

Yelp
LUNCH VISIT Hmmm.... What Italian restaurant offers Vodka Sauce without PROSCIUTTO? CASA DE NAPOLI Server displayed being bothered after informing sauce is plain, my asking after if this meant no PROSCIUTTO. Responded, you can add it for an ADDITIONAL CHARGE. Huh? I requested Lentil Soup, brought to me in a bowl. Guest behind me requested Lentil Soup and asked if in a cup or bowl. Lol. Petty the difference in price, my point is different service provided. Requested water, left for me to SELF SERVE. A lost SERVICE practice, not experienced only here, other restaurants not bother with this small detail, that can make a difference to tip, you only find this practice in RESTAURANTS focused on providing AWESOME SERVICE, and some are inexpensive. The PASTA cooked Al Dente (bravo). Linguini with ok meatball. Penne with ok breaded open large shrimp (4) and mozzarella cheese wrapped. Asked if vodka sauce with dinner PLAIN too, guess what, YES. LOL I asked, what is the signature dish here, I was provided the DINNER MENU listed on white board atop tripod. None? Fake leaves and plants, intertwined with Christmas lights, parts of walls with CHA CHAS, different ceiling fixtures, with a carpet black (from years of use, edges show pattern actually red and tan made tiny circles. Walls have a nice paisley pattern that I believe best suited for space with nothing added. Seen this place lots of times through some years, my first visit here.

Yelp
This past Saturday, we had one of the best red sauce meals in a long time. Casa Di Napoli in Union City. JC folks; as good or possibly better than Fox Place or Laico's (blasphemy, I know.) Everything was so reasonably priced that we ordered like real gavones. The stuffed artichoke was huge, so tender, and super stuffed with seasoned bread crumbs. We got a parm sampler 19.95 for veal, Chicken, and eggplant with a side of pasta. Stuffed rigatoni with meatballs (16.95) calamari, mussels marinara for apps. And because it was all so good...Spinach ravioli and a meatball parm sub (6.95 ) to go. $103 before tip. Easily could have fed a family of five. Cash only, byob, call for res, but it's pretty easy. We called day of and got a nice table at six on a Saturday.

Yelp
Great experience at a family friendly restaurant! BYOB was great and really helped to keep the tab reasonable. 2 Adults and one child, 1 Caesar salad, baked ziti, chicken parmigiana, chicken Francesca and a lava cake a la mode! $75! Bread and butter was hot and delicious Caesar salad was a 9/10!! Baked ziti 9/10 Chicken parmigiana 8/10 Chicken Francesca 8/10 Lava cake 8/10 Service was excellent! I'll be back!!!!

Yelp
over cooked pasta (angle hair). undercooked stuffed mushrooms. Good arugula salad... strange to have sliced tomatoes in it but they were good. Comfortable inside. Very reasonably priced... would try it again

Yelp
Food was perfect and affordable! Such a nice place with the BEST staff. Joey was super friendly to me and my party and he was great to talk to! Such a great change from all these other restaurants that cut costs and raise prices during these tough times. I'm thankful for this place and thankful for Joey. I will be coming back next time I'm in the area! Thank you!
google avatar

Yelp
Excellent old school mob kind of vibes. Cash only and byob don't forget. Joey is the best waiter and makes us feel very comfortable.

Lismarie A.

Yelp
This place is so cozy and the staff are super friendly and welcoming. Excellent service. From start to finish the food was really good. The calamari was the right pint of crispy and I wish they gave more. The shrimp Parmesan and eggplant rollatini were so good. I've never had eggplant rollatini with mozzarella so it was an interesting change to the usual ricotta. But it was delicious. It was so filling I had to take the side of pasta to go. The dessert was by far the best part of the meal. Both were melt in your mouth delicious. I'd come again for sure. Oh and it's byob but there's a liquor store down the street so you can pick up wine. And cash only.

Alekai V.

Yelp
Visiting from Houston, Texas and was looking for great italian family owned restaurants and found this place. Definitely not a 4.7 stars but a 5 star restaurant! The food is full of flavor and the service was amazing! Definitely coming back here when we vacation back!

Yelp
Food was INCREDIBLE. Period. Looking to impress your date? I think this is a wonderful choice. It's BYOB, so be classy and bring a fine wine and enjoy.

Yelp
This neighborhood staple Italian restaurant pleases in presentation, flavor, and service. This review is based on a full take out meal for a family of 4 (3 adults and a toddler). We ordered on a very busy Saturday night and the woman who took my order was upfront and honest about the wait time (1 hour) and the order was ready upon arrival. I will add that the server who greeted me at the door was extremely personable and professional, and I gave him a cash tip for these reasons. First of all, I am a trained chef with a successful catering business and 20+ years in the food service industry. My clients include celebrities, CEO's, and other high net worth people. For appetizers, we ordered fried zucchini. The zucchini was perfectly breaded and seasoned, and extremely crisp. I was not expecting this to be an amazing item, but it really delivered because of the impeccable seasoning and cooking. The main courses included veal parmesan, baked filet of sole, and angel hair marinara with shrimp. All 3 entrees were portioned perfectly and presented extremely hot and fresh. The veal was "melt in your mouth" tender, indicative of a high quality cut of veal. The homemade marinara and fresh mozzarella perfectly complemented the veal. The side of penne pasta was cooked perfectly - not too al dente and not overcooked, and the angel hair was the same. The filet of sole was flaky and moist, not over cooked, and deliciously seasoned. The shrimp with angel hair was also on point. We also ordered a side of sautéed broccoli, which was cooked perfectly with garlic aioli - definitely not soggy and not too crunchy either! The presentation of the food was well executed, especially for a takeout order. I had a pleasant conversation with the owner of the restaurant when picking up the food. I will add that this restaurant was extremely busy on the Saturday evening that I went. The staff was cool and collected, and despite being extremely busy, they delivered my food with a smile and immediately. I would recommend this restaurant without any reservation for anyone in the area looking for an authentic and delicious Italian experience. The icing on the cake was the low cost (around $65) to feed an entire family! Kudos to this establishment and I will definitely be

Yelp

Yelp
We fiancé and i went here for Valentine's Day this year. We are from Cincinnati, so we were going based on our Airbnb hosts recommendation. It did not disappoint! The service was great. Everyone from the kind lady who answered the phone to squeeze us in for a Valentine's Day dinner, to the multiple servers who came to take care of us. It was like a true family experience. Their food was exceptional-- i don't even like red sauce but their marinara was SO tasty. We both each got an entree and shared, and we finished with the tiramisu. Everything was delicious, and even though it was a holiday, we were in and out very quickly. I would definitely recommend anyone who is near here to visit!

Anthony C.

Yelp
This place is absolutely great. Fantastic food, service, great prices and byob. More importantly, as compared to other Hoboken (uptown Washington st) restaurants you feel appreciated and welcome here. More than worth a try!! Come on the weekends and ask for Cheryl

Kevin C.

Yelp
Not just great, this place is outstanding. The owners are truly appreciative of your business and the food is beyond great. Old school Italian.. The stuffed artichoke is great, the chicken parm is better, but most of all this place feels like home. Cash only and BYOB. In sum, outstanding.

Yelp
5 stars for service, portions, fair prices, and nice family business owners. If you support small businesses and love Italian food, take a short ride up to Casa do Napoli. This place is Cash Only & BYOB. It's cozy-small, so not a last minute place for 20 some people to drop in without reservations or 4 people with 3 strollers etc. It's byob so your bill will be half of what you might spend in Hoboken or The City. There is a wine store a block away at the grocery. Small, family owned, quaint, neighborhood old-school Italians. Grandma runs the door, Grandpa runs the kitchen, grandsons bus the tables, other grandson is food runner and back waiter, and the server is exquisite running the entire floor and en pointe. We've taken family from out of town here, also done pick-up, every time the food is good. Small menu but very fair prices and everything is home made & fresh. Also, let me get crazy and say best meatballs in NJ. Get your mom's feathers ruffled and try you some! I particularly liked the Lobster & Crab stuffed mushrooms and Calamari for appetizers. The Calamari was tender and not over cooked as many places tend to do. Very fresh for both dishes. The salad is good and large to share. Chicken Francese is good and light. Chicken Parm is good. Chicken Marsala and Veal Marsala stole the show at our table- disappeared before we could take pictures! I also had a special, the Crab Stuffed Shrimp and it was very fresh and tender. Dessert was great too, we tried the cannoli and really liked it. Their tiramisu wasn't my thing, (not rich enough or espresso-y enough for me but I'm bougie) but the table next to us liked it. I'm getting the Cannoli again next time. Another table had lemon sorbet served in the lemon fruit shell and it looked refreshing. Local cops stopped in here on their dinner break and you know it's a good close-to-home comfort food if the precinct wants a meal. Be nice to Grandma and she'll be nice to you. Enjoy what this family has to offer the community for local Italian fare.

Amy C.

Yelp
Great time at this great old fashioned place. Was met by the very appreciative owners and they were thankful. I will definitely be back many times. Great Italian soup, meatballs, chicken parm, eggplant rolitini. This is a new go to place for me. BYOB too.

Loupadron2010 P.

Yelp
After living in North Bergen, New Jersey and only 4 1/2 blocks away all of my life. My mother and I decided to try Casa Di Napoli this August 2023. It is a cozy, clean Italian American restaurant with Neapolitan roots. We shared the penne a la vodka dish, and we also had the eggplant parmagiana, the nice hot breads and bread sticks, mixed vegetables side dish and a baked potato with sour cream. All was fresh and great tasting. The staff very polite and friendly. We were so full that we did not have room for their desserts. Luckily we walked back home to burn out all that good food.
google avatar

Gloria K.

Yelp
This is our go to favorite BYOB Italian spot. The food is so delicious and the staff is so friendly and attentive. There are way too many dishes to point out and their daily specials board always has tempting choices. Quaint and well decorated...you won't be disappointed.

Yelp
I haven't reviewed since they re-opened fully since being take out during the worst of the pandemic. We are so happy you made it through the worst of times. I'm a local, been coming here since they opened. Here is the real deal as I saw a couple of reviews that cannot be real. This is a very comfy place like eating at someones home with the hospitality to match, solid staple Italian choices, good portions, great service, shout out to Lauro ( a fabulous waiter who has been here for years), BYOB which is also terrific and it is cash only. Joe has been here since 1981 and my entire family has come here over the years. Support local, you will have a terrific meal and feel like family when you leave.

Yelp
This is a hidden gem in union city , NJ. We made a reservation and went there. Table was not ready and we had to wait on the road for about 10-15 minutes while they were cleaning and setting the table. Rest amazinggg food. We tried stuffed artichokes (10.95$) . It had such rich flavour of butter n garlic. Loved it . Also ordered eggplant parmesan ( 14.95$) . It comes with a side of rosted potatoes/ pasta. We chose pasta. Tasted very good. And went on ordering lobster ravioli in vodka sauce which was incredible. Highly recommend all dishes. Its a CASH only place. They don't accept credit cards. Also serving size is pretty big. Will return to try more dishes

Yelp
The food was amazing. Ordered penne vodka chicken Frances and calamari. Classic Italian

Yelp
Felt like home, but tasted much better. Delicious stuffed seafood stuffed mushrooms and linguine alfredo at great prices and a comfortable, non pretentious - but charming - atmosphere. The owners are sweet and treat even new customers like family. We will definitely be back. BYOB!

Michelle P.

Yelp
The food was very good. The only reason I'm not giving five stars is because it's a tight fit in the dining room and the restaurant looks like it hasn't been updated/redecorated in decades. A

Yelp
Ridiculous service. Piss poor attitude from a jack wagon of a an owner. Drove almost an hour to have our reservation cancelled upon arrival on a Friday night. Don't patronize this place. There are plenty of great Italian places around that will actually value your time.
google avatar

Serwynjha A.

Yelp
Very unprofessional. Called for 2 days straight all day(and left a message) to make a reservation and no answer. Very upsetting since it was my first time trying to eat here. Glad to know how the service would've been(nonexistent). The least they can do is have a website so you can do so if they're not gonna answer

Yelp
Amazing food without breaking the bank. BYOB. Best kept secret in union city. Fish so fresh. Red sauce is amazing.

Yelp
I am afraid I've been selfish in not sharing my review of this fabulous gem of a ristorante. I dream of their food. Once I had the veal Milanese at Casa di Napoli, I could never order the dish in any other restaurant--it is perfection! The owners (Joe and Cheryl) are just the loveliest people and Joe is an incredible chef--whatever you order is consistently superb. The excellence does not vary. The prices are incredibly reasonable and the service team, led by Lauro is wonderful. I was not lucky enough to be born into an Italian household, but having Casa di Napoli in my backyard is the next best thing!

Gloria K.

Yelp
This Italian hidden gem in Union City has the best ambiance. So nicely decorated and wonderful owners Joe and Cheryl. There food is fresh and so delicious. I never had a bad meal here. It's a BYOB that offers refrigeration for your beverages and the daily special board is a hit. What are you waiting for...go see Cheryl and Joe and have a great Italian meal!

Yelp
Wow!!! Nothing short than amazing! This is a MUST go to restaurant in the Hudson County area! The ambience was super cozy. Beautifully displayed Christmas decor for the holiday season. The staff was very friendly, professional, and provided excellent service! Our waiter checked up on us to make sure all was good throughout our apps and entree, refilled our water, replaced napkins, picked up any misc dishes in a timely manner. Ask for oil and balsamic when the bread comes- thank me later ;) The food... WOW. Definitely cooked with love :) You could taste how fresh everything was. The mussels fradiavlo had the perfect amount of spice. No need to add extra flakes. The stuffed clams were delish, bacon bits were a great touch. I cannot brag enough about the lobster and crab stuffed salmon!!! Seriously cooked to perfection. Chicken Francese was tender and tasty! I will definitely be back!!

Joe B.

Yelp
The food and ambience remind me of home. I felt like I was at home and my grandma was cooking. I've really missed my grandma and grandpa's cooking s since they passed away, and I'm so glad I found somewhere that reminds me of them. I can't wait to go back. It's a lovely restaurant with genuine and caring people.

Yelp
Inviting atmosphere, excellent service, delicious food at moderate prices, and BYOB! This family run restaurant offers many classic Italian dishes and a variety of daily specials. Another bonus is parking is easy. Enjoy!

Yelp
Immediately started planning when we could go back once we left. Everything from start to finish was incredible. Clams, calamari, veal Milanese, chicken parm, veal parm. The atmosphere feels like you've walked into their family home, which I absolutely love. This place is cozy and creates amazing authentic Italian American dishes. Love the owners- a sweet and hardworking couple. We will be back soon!

Yelp
CUP OF LENTIL SOUP MUSCLES FRADIAVLO APP EGGPLANT STUFFED W/ RICOTTA & MOZZARELLA SIDE OF ANGEL HAIR PASTA VEAL CHOP SIDE OF BAKED POTATO & FRIED ZUCCHINI SIDE OF ANGEL HAIR PASTA FRADIAVLO TARTUFO DESSERT ESPRESSO *********************************************************** Let me start of by saying they have free parking now!!! When I checked in the restaurant yelp asked do they deliver? Let me clarify. The answer is yes, BUT only for lunch Monday through Friday 11:30am till 3:30pm. As my wife and I entered the restaurant we were greeted by our friendly server Lauro and brought to our table. The staff poured us water and brought out hot fresh baked bread with butter very quickly and opened our bottle of wine BYOB. As usual our server brought over this huge board of special's of the day. My mouth is watering and I cant wait to dig in. My wife orders a cup of lentil soup which was "really good" and I got the the muscles fradiavlo. The muscles were delicious. I hate when you go out to eat and you order the fradiavlo sauce and its not spicy at all and your sitting there adding red pepper flakes to try and bring up the spice level. Let me tell you, not this place, very spicy and tasty. They even add in slices of cherry peppers to the sauce to kick it up a notch. Here come the entrees. My wife got the eggplant stuffed w/ ricotta and mozzarella cheese with a side of angel hair pasta marinara which I also tasted and boy was it delicious. My veal chop cooked medium with a side of baked potato and fried zucchini was awesome. If the restaurant was empty I woulda gnawed on the bone like a dog!!! Check out my veal chop before and after pic. I had to get more of that fradiavlo sauce. I call the server over and ask if I can order a side of angel hair pasta w/ the fradiavlo sauce. He said I'm going to have to wait a little while because they have to make it fresh to order, I said not a problem!!! Within 5 minutes I had the pasta, and delicious it was. We shared a tartufo for dessert and I had my usual double espresso. If I can give this restaurant 10 stars I would. It is the best old school Italian restaurant in Hudson County and probably one of the best in the state. Cash only restaurant but there are many atm's nearby. Till next time, cheers.

Yelp
If I can give no stars I would but that's not an option here. The male waiters attitude was TRASH, obnoxiously rude and bitter to be there. Must be an owner or family member to owner because he gave zero fucks on how he came off with facial expressions and attitude. Anyways food was ehhh very limited and BYOB cause they don't serve alcohol and drinks Tasted watered down. Also carry cash because they won't tell you from the beginning or have a sign that they "ONLY ACCEPT CASH" like are we for real it's 2021 get with the program. What happened to contactless pay. Anyways see for yourself if you're curious.

Yelp
Walked in on a Saturday night while it was snowing out and we were seated right away. They are normally are very busy and for good reason. The food, service, and atmosphere is excellent. The chef/owner from Salerno Italy came out himself to check and make sure we were enjoying ourselves and make sure we liked the food. The owners wife is so friendly and made the recommendation of the homemade blueberry pie which was excellent. I had the baked stuffed rigatoni with meatballs. The sauce is light but flavorful. Don't worry they give you bread to soak up that left over sauce. Overall a great meal and great experience.

Yelp
This little gem of a place is quietly tucked away in Union City. I did a Google search of Italian restaurants near me and Casa Di Napoli popped up. Thankfully I check them out online before going because it was there that I discovered that they take cash only and reservations are recommended. I called in to see if they had availability for two at the moment and the guy said sure if you come in now and abruptly hung up. Uh ok maybe he was busy. I didn't let that deter me. The guy that answered the phone was the one who greeted us when we arrived and also our server. Same curt personality but nicer in person. And his demeanor lightened after seating us and taking our orders. I got the impression that this is definitely a spot for locals. The menu had the usual Italian fare with a daily specials board of off the menu items. Everything was very reasonably priced. I was hungry and i couldn't decide if I wanted to stick to traditional or something outside the box. In the meanwhile they brought out fresh warm bread and butter. I ordered the lasagna(can't go wrong there) and was very pleased. My bf ordered the chicken Parmesan with penne pasta. The lasagna was delicious and his chicken parm was tasty and tender. The consistency of the marinara sauce was a little watery but had great flavor. The takeaway is that this place is pretty authentic. Food quality and pricing were both great. You should definitely stop in if your in the area, just stop at the liquor store and the atm first.

Yelp
I'm very disappointed...this place was recommended to me from a dear friend of mine. Went there to celebrate a family member's birthday...we brought our cake to sing and everything! The food is amazing which makes this review a little difficult. To find authentic Italian food made with love in such a large city that strives to do the same is hard to find. Sadly we won't be returning to this restaurant due to the services we received. As we were still eating our food a server who wasn't even our server threw our check on the table. Didn't ask us if we needed anything didn't even offer dessert let alone the cake we had in the freezer. We then proceeded to ask why the check was thrown on the table we didn't ask for it and we felt like we were being rushed out. The server then proceeded to tell us he didn't give a sh*t and walked away. This then escalated into something that didn't need to happen. Then a customer proceed to yell at us and threatened to call the police because we were speaking about the situation I guess to "passionately" for her liking. She then proceeded to tell us to go eat at McDonald's. We are just super disappointed overall. We were having an amazing time enjoying the food and each other. To then have this happen and ruin my family members birthday is completely unacceptable which is a shame. The owners are lovely and from what I heard from previous experiences they have another grandson who is a waiter is lovely.
