We recently discovered Casa Di Roma in Meriden, and honestly, I can't believe it's taken us this long. This place is an absolute gem, the kind of spot that reminds you of how great pizza places used to be. The prices, the portions, the quality... it's all on point. Tonight we got the pepperoni stuffed bread, and it was awesome. Crispy on the outside, loaded inside, and the side of sauce it came with was surprisingly flavorful, not just an afterthought like at some places. We also got a bacon and onion pizza which was fantastic, perfectly cooked, great balance of flavors, and honestly just a great pizza. The boneless buffalo wings deserve a shoutout too. They’re more like buffalo tenders than your typical small boneless bites, and that’s a good thing. Really generous portions. We also grabbed an antipasto salad which was loaded and good and some chicken tenders and fries for the kids. Here’s the wild part: everything was under $50. In 2025, that’s basically unheard of. The food is consistently delicious, the service is always friendly, and the whole place gives off that old-school, no-frills vibe in the best possible way. We’ve only done takeout so far, but one of these days we’re planning to dine in just to soak in that nostalgic feel. We’ve also tried their party pizza in the past and it’s a total steal, tons of food for a great price and the same awesome quality. Bottom line: Casa Di Roma is exactly the kind of place every town should have, great food, great prices, and a welcoming, throwback feel that keeps you coming back. We’ll definitely be ordering from here again!

Let’s start with the service. Welcomed with a smile and smell of fresh pizza Chicken bacon pinwheel is phenomenal. The bbq chicken slice was NO FLOP and it was hefty. The plain slice was excellent also with no flop. This place is a must try !!!!

The pizza is good, not great, but I have really high standards for pizza...everything else I've tried has been awesome, delivery is always quick and the staff is really nice, definitely recommend

You can't go wrong with anything this place makes! I had a wrap here there other day and could only finish half it was so big! And I'm a big person with plenty of appetite!

Almost 10 years after my initial visit, I returned after discovering a nearby bakery was closed for vacation. Once again I ordered a slice of pepperoni and once again it proved to be on the greasy which came as no surprise. What did surprise was the size. How large? Take a slice of your typical pizza and multiply by a factor of 2.5. Tasty? Yes. Pricey? No. Will you return? Yes. When? Sooner than last time.

My first thought was paper menus? Second thought menu has to many choices. Take menu down to 10-12 choices Become a place where ambiance is key. Warm inviting 10 tables and turn 3-4 times. Less overhead and pent up demand.

Ordered take out from this restaurant for the first time last night for my birthday dinner with my husband! Got the chicken francese, meatball grinder, and Philly cheesesteak grinder. Great portions, super reasonable pricing, and delicious! My husband was really pleased with the cheesesteak grinder after being disappointed elsewhere. We will be back!

I stopped in for lunch recently when I was in the area. The pizza in the hot box looked amazing. I was trying to be a little healthier and chose a salad and protein instead of the delicious looking pizza. The salad was loaded with fresh veggies and it was very filling. I also ordered a side of meatballs and they were huge and the sauce had a good flavor too. The place is small, casual and there appeared to be mostly regulars coming in. The service was prompt and friendly. I will be back to try more menu items soon.

We found this pizza place by accident while visiting Rocco's bakery. So happy we found it. The pizza is very good for a "red sauce" pizza place. The prices are great and the staff is friendly. Give it a try.

Soooo good. One of the best eggplant rollatini I have had. Excellent penne Al a vodka. The eggplant portion is very large and if you get it with a pizza, two of you would have at least two or three meals; a great option for no-cook days. The place is so clean and the staff is lovely. Definitely recommend the chicken piccata, it is out of this world good pasta (we got it with linguine) love it! Will be back!

The food here is amazing ! I haven't had a bad meal thus far. My favorite is the Buffalo chicken quesadilla served with French fries prices are reasonable.

Ordered carry out last night: chicken piccata, chicken parm and some garlic cheese bread. Everything was outstanding and the portions were very generous (we were glad to have leftovers for dinner tonight). We will definitely be back!! Side note: the wait was a bit longer than they quoted when ordering and a lot of the other customers were getting a bit bent out of shape about it. If you're reading this, please remember to be kind and try to be patient. Times are tough and businesses are doing the best to keep up with minimal staff and resources.

I am from NY and has a hard time finding a good pizzeria. I tried Casa Di Roma when they were going fundraising for the school and I'M ADDICTED. I order at least 3 to 4 t times a month and it's ALWAYS A HIT

I've given Casa Di Roma a few tries having the Margherita pizza, a sausage/ricotta pizza, eggplant rollatini, and a meatball grinder. The important part is that the sauce is good, the crust wasn't floppy in the middle, and the toppings tasted fresh. However, the entrees were far too salty. It's no "New Haven apizza", but they are, so far, the best pizza I've had in Meriden and the prices are great. If I could, I would give them 3.5 stars.

Nice pizzas! Thin crust perfect sauce and cheese. I ordered delivery too and they were here within 30 minutes on a rainy foggy night. Need a menu next time! I will order again from Casa Di Rome!

I ordered stuffed bread and pizza. It was just okay. I did like the lightness of the crust. Food didn't have much flavor.

I got the chicken parm pizza but everything else looked phenomenal I lived in Meriden for almost a year and am sad to have found out I was missing out on this hole in the wall restaurant. I can't wait to try more of there food. Jesus clearly rose this Sunday and blessed me with this restaurant

Casa Di Roma is a pizza place nestled in the Village of South Meriden. The place serves up some good pizza, Italian dishes, and awesome fried dough. You can also buy pizza by the slice. They also run different specials each day of the week. The owner is super nice and very accommodating. He goes above and beyond to make sure you are happy. The restaurant has plenty of seating so you can opt for in room dining, take out or delivery.

Good pizza! Fairly standard and yummy, the baked potato pizza is a standout white pie, with broccoli and lumps of mashed potato's and a stupid amount of garlic.....YAS Also, we ordered 3 pizzas, they delivered 4. Bonus? Happy mistake? Either way hooray!

We hired this restaurant to cater our wedding. We ordered food for 20 more people than we actually had. Though the food was delicious and people are still raving about it, the quantity of food only fed our guests one helping each. The Bride & groom did not get to eat. And when we contacted them to let them know of the issue they had the audacity to Send a couple more trays and charge us! Do not ever use them to cater an event.

Best Pizza in CT by far. Casa di Roma is also one of the cheapest restaurants to grab any Italian food you might be craving. The spaghetti is the best I've ever tasted in my life, and the pizza is a great balance of dough, cheese, and good-tasting sauce. The garlic knots are some of the softest I have come to taste. Overall, highly recommend Casa di Roma even if the location is not necessarily the best.

The food is fantastic! And the owner, who goes by Bosh ALWAYS goes above and beyond!! It's great knowing we have such a great little spot like this so close to us, we always hit it up every chance we get. Thanks for the great food Bosh!!!

Generally I love the food at this restaurant. However, tonight I was not impressed. I ordered for a bigger party (12) and they say an hour. It took close to an hour and 45 minutes, I get it, big order. Then it gets here and it's missing two orders and sauces for some meals. I call and the girl answering the phone was beyond nice but the guy cooking and maybe the owner is yelling on the phone they made a mistake and he will get it right over to me. I work in the industry so I 1000% understand mistakes, but in my restaurant, we take it off the bill and make sure the customer is happy. This man said it's not fair to them to take it off the check. But apparently it's fair for my people in my party to not eat. Absolutely horrible experience with them tonight.

Really overrated pizza was horrendous only thing that save it was the sauce but other than that it was horrible, undercooked, flimsy, and floppy, didmtnone star it yet cause I want to give them one more chance and try there mash potato pie since that's what there famous for. Also I like to give every place atleast 2 chances .

I had to update this because their food has gotten much better. Their quesadillas are to die for and their staff is amazing. They also treat the neighborhood kids like family. Their prices are great too and they are fast! You won't be sorry!

There have been so many times I wished I had been on yelp to give my opinion. Not because it was good or bad, but because it either was GREAT or it really sucked. People should know. This review "beckoned" me to join. Hence....I was STARVING. Ready to stop anywhere along my way home. Spotted it...neon heaven-blinking "SLICES". I parked in back, and walked through the back door-through the kitchen-to the front house..turned around and asked for "a slice of cheese". The gentleman was happy to oblige...heated it which didn't seem long enough (didn't matter-I was hungry and cold pizza was no stranger to me). Got in my small car which felt even smaller given the size of this "slice". It was warmed to perfection...crispy, thin, cheesy, New Haveny.....oh I was happy. Thought of calling him..a few times..to thank/praise/beg him..."please don't change a thing". He got me. I finally joined yelp to share. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

I am updating everybody on Casa Di Roma- they continue to come through with quality pizza with generous toppings, delivered hot and NOT soggy. I also have ordered their Antipasto salad which was generous in portion sizes and came with 2 dressings. Their calzone is also delicious. The reason I am upping this to 5 stars is because my father recently had surgery and could not drive, and he called CDR and asked for delivery. Even though he lives in Cheshire, they still delivered, which is awesome. It really helped our family when he needed some food but couldn't drive to go get it. I appreciate that and we always give them a good tip for coming to Cheshire. Thanks!!!!!!

We love this small local restaurant! They have the best antipasto salad I have ever had. Excellent customer service and food quality.

So we decided to give this place a try. Ordered plain cheese because it's really the best way to see what you're dealing with pizza wise. Found the pizza to be the perfect taste for the price. The crust this visit would be described as thin yet chewy. Sauce and over all flavor decent for a local spot. This is your Friday night last minute delivery place that's better than Domino's (or places like it) NOT your OMG I can't wait to have this pizza type place. Over all satisfying and even pretty good cold the next day (always a needed test to pass!) so I'd say give it a try but I wouldn't wait in line....

They do a fantastic job, prices are great, food is delicious, make a pretty great pizza, grinders are big.

This place has excellent food, delivery always hot, prices are very fair. This is a must try. Been ordering here and will not any were else in meriden. Mike is an excellent cook and just a fabulous place to dine in or out. French onion is delicious.

In my husbands words "the meatballs are bomb!" Fast delivery Pizza was also good Learned about this place from a family member. I'm glad I tried it and will definitely order again. Huge menu

tonight me and my sisters ordered pizza wings and calamari everything was so good the pepperoni pizza was fresh and hot when it got too us the pizza sauce taste really good best i have had in along time. no there hot wings were spicy and good but could of been lil more cripsy over all i'd get them again. now there fried calamari and sauce was to die for very yummy. def will be ordering fromm here again.

I have ordered take out from Casa Di Roma on four separate occasions and each time their quality met and or exceed my expectations. The portions were generous to a fault. I have found the Antipasto Salad to be very good. Having ordered grinders on several visits I have found the eggplant grinder to be quite good I would however suggest that you add roasted peppers to the mix as I really believe that it puts it over the top. All in all I would hope that people in the Village patronise Casa Di Roma so that they can flourish and become a great addition to South Meriden,

Warm, tasty bread. A huge yummy salad. Mouth watering pizza. The chicken and veal is "to die for". I personally enjoyed the french onion soup ..... "there's a party in my tummy"

I have to say this is one of my favorite dishes. What are my favorite appetizers. In my opinion this restaurant has the absolute best calamari dish that I have ever had. And that is a pretty bold statement for me to say given the fact that I have been to many top restaurants. This by far blows away everybody. I am very happy with the service I received here thank you to the Manager Bash and Chef Feta and Chef Mike!!!! I would recommend this place to anyone even if you arent in the area their dishes are definitely worth the drive.

Really good dough, both thick and regular crusts are great. We often make special requests and they have never made an error. They don't skimp on toppings and the service staff is excellent. Competitively priced for the area. The only place we order from!

Our go to local pizza place, we usually order from here once a week. Great New Haven style pizza and very friendly staff! Their Margherita pizza is the best we have had. A friend and I meet there once a month for dinner- they give you so much delicious food we always bring home leftovers. I recommend the eggplant rolatini and the chickn de casa. Both are great and come with a side of pasta and soup or salad. They are very busy Friday and Saturday nights. Be prepared to wait 40 minutes for your food- but it is definitely worth the wait!

Pizza wasn't to good and the owners yell at each other when they are talking you could be sitting in the dinning room and hear everything they are saying will never go back there again

Every time I get their pizza it's great thin crust and always very fresh. Delivery takes a while but it's worth it. I have to stop back in to try the dinners.

We order food from here several times a week. The pizza is delicious (try the bbq chicken pizza!), the salads are huge, and the grinders are wonderful. Oh, the quesadillas are great too! Great food, and even greater owners...once you've ordered from them a few times, they treat you like family. Lucky to have this restaurant right down the street!

There are a LOT of pizza places in the area, so I'm usually hesitant to commit to a new place without references. Heard from a friend that this place was good- and I trust her judgment- so I gave it a shot. They make a legit pie. Sauce is good, well balanced. They have a good dough- crust is crispy and thin, yet substantial enough that it can handle the weight of the toppings. In all truth, it was hard to stop eating (until we finished the pie). For whatever reason, the pizza reminded me of some of the pies I've had at DiMatteo's in Hamden, years ago. This place is close by so I'll definitely be working their menu over in coming months.

My daughter and I came to this place by chance I thought the pizza was fantastic we ordered plain cheese and pepperoni and we wanted garlic knots but it wasn't on the menu he made some for us and said it was going to be on the menu soon they were delicious. The owner was very nice!!

Real solid place food is great and prices are very reasonable. Had the chicken cutlet grinder. Cutlet was nice and crispy and the chicken was moist, you could tell it was fresh. I'll be back! Has a small nice restaurant style seating area with a few tables and 4 booths.

By FAR, my favorite pizza spot in the area. Spend the extra for the gourmet pies, remember, ingredients cost $ so the $9 cheese can't compare to a $14 Margherita. The Friday night pizza is awesome also!

Great food! Pizza. Wings, pasta with chicken and broccoli, chicken Parmesan, or even steak quesadillas! All have been great! Hope Casa di Roma does well in this spot, we need a good pizza place close to home!

The best restaurant ever in Meriden CT. They really have delicious food. :) I really want to go back.

Friend of mine told me about this place recently. Just wanted to share my thoughts. It is a smaller place (usually the best) not commercial. Prices are very fair and the portions are not skimpy at all. Past dinners are really good. Salads are filling as well. Ive been back 6 to 8 times and haven't been disappointed yet. Consistent is key in the restaraunt business. Well if your ever looking for a quick and delicious meal they get my recommendation.

My family and I relocated from New York a few years ago and it had been so hard to find good pizza or even decent pizza in CT. Well we were pleasantly surprised when Casa Di Roma opened. They have the best pizza in Connecticut that we have tasted, even better than Pepe's. However, when I order I do have to ask for my pizza to be "lightly baked" as sometimes it will come over more charred or well done than we like. The sauce and crust are delicious!
