Signature Piri-Piri chicken grilled over wood charcoal, small plates
"Casa Do Frango is a Portuguese spot in Southwark that says, “I’m invested enough not to have taken you to the Nando’s at the bottom of my road, but I won’t spend a penny over £25 on this meet-up”. You can get sides like chorizo rice and the main event, the half chicken in a garlic glaze, and still have change left over. If by some miracle you find yourself considering raising your third-tier mate to that covetable second tier, transform your casual weeknight chicken-fest into something a bit more boozy with cocktails." - heidi lauth beasley, jake missing, sinead cranna, rianne shlebak
"Delivery Status: Delivery from Shoreditch and London Bridge to local areas. The most straightforward way of describing Casa Do Frango is by saying it’s “like Nando’s, but better”. And though that doesn’t do justice to everything this Southwark spot does aside from charcoal grilled chicken, like bacalhau fritters or sweet potato feijoada (a Portuguese stew), it’s the only thing your kids will be interested in." - heidi lauth beasley, jake missing
"We really like this Portuguese chicken spot in Southwark. We also sometimes like to refer to it as ‘not not Nandos’. Dedicated to the cultural icon that is piri piri chicken, this light and breezy restaurant has got all the flavours of everyone’s favourite chicken chain without the questionable presence of a refillable drink machine. When it comes to the all important sides, you can expect batatas fritas, African rice, and our vegetable ride-or-die, corn on the cob, as well as plenty of mezcal and tequila cocktails. In case they’re booked out due to The Great British Chicken Renaissance (yes, we’re really trying to make that a thing) know that they also have a spot in Shoreditch, complete with a big summer terrace." - heidi lauth beasley
"Piri piri chicken spot Casa Do Frango is offering a 20% discount for all NHS workers." - rianne shlebak
