16 Austin-Area Bars and Restaurants to Frequent This Summer | Eater

"An Austin area Tex-Mex institution, Casa Garcia has several locations throughout the suburbs: Round Rock, Pflguerville, and Manor. Serving everything from migas and breakfast tacos to queso flameado, enchiladas, and chimichangas with a generous helping of homespun hospitality (don’t be surprised if your server calls you “mija” or “mijo”). They also have some of the best margaritas — both frozen and on the rocks — and have Milagro stocked behind the bar. Swing by during happy hour, Monday through Friday from 4 to 7 p.m., for some deals you won’t want to refuse." - Cynthia Drake

After being born and raised in Los Angeles and living there almost 30 years I’ve become a Mexican food snob. Moved to STL about two years ago, this is the first authentic place I’ve had. Tacos and tamales are amazing!! Will deff be back.

I stopped by Casa Garcia to try these Burria tacos everyone is talking about. They were absolutely delicious. I even tried the street corn and got me some Mexican soda. My only complaint is birria tacos are only on Tuesday. I want them when I want them! Customer service was amazing.

Casa Garcia is a hidden gem in the community! From the moment you walk in, you’re welcomed with friendly smiles and a clean, well-organized space that makes shopping a pleasure. The store is always stocked with fresh produce, high-quality meats, and a fantastic selection of international and local products that are hard to find elsewhere. What truly sets Casa Garcia apart is the exceptional customer service. The staff is not only helpful and knowledgeable but genuinely cares about their customers — always ready to assist with a smile. The prices are fair, and the quality of the goods is top-notch. Whether you’re doing your weekly grocery run or just stopping by for a few items, Casa Garcia makes every visit a positive experience. It’s more than just a grocery store — it’s a cornerstone of the neighborhood. Also if you have a chance try their delicious food. Highly recommended!

The Birria Tacos and Quesadilla were legit! Can't wait to go back to try other items! Lots of interesting and unique items at the grocery store too.

If you have not had the chance to go to Casa Garcia, plan your visit. It’s a cute Hispanic grocery store with a kitchen in the back. They have some of the biggest and best tamales as well as the best tacos I have ever had. I wish we lived closer because everything is fantastic!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Casa Garcia is hands down one of my favorite spots to eat out in Florissant ! The food is always made fresh and seasoned, they never miss 🤌🏾🔥🔥. The staff is always welcoming and makes you feel right at home. It’s rare to find a place that’s this consistent with both their service and their food. Give their food a try and thank me later 🔥

I just happened to stop by the store to check on progress and to my amazement it was the Grand Opening. The moment my wife and I walked towards the building we were excited to see the wonderful store-front display. As the two of us walked indoors we were met by a wonderful staff and such positive energy was in the store. I must admit I looked around the store (floor, walls, ceiling etc.) and said to myself, "this is nice and clean". I started to capture photos to share while my wife began to shop. At Casa Garcia Mexican Grocery Store you will find a nice variety of items so it is worth your visit. We saw every thing from frozen, fresh canned and bagged foods. If you are searching for an authentic Mexican grocery store in the St. Louis region, you have got to stop by Casa Garcia Mexican Grocery Store. What a great addition to the Florissant community. I will admit I am not latino however the staff explained to me how I would use different items so I challenge you to be adventurous. :)

Yelp
So the other day...... I stopped by Casa Garcia in Florissant, and let me tell you, this spot is a whole vibe. 2726 N Hwy 67, Florissant, MO 63033 Imagine walking into a mini Hispanic market fresh tacos sizzling, fresh fruits and veggies stacked high, and even home goods like comforter sets and blossom scented baby powder. It's basically like a little slice of Soulard Market without all the walking. I ordered some tacos, (3 street tacos for $11) you can actually see them cooking everything fresh in the back which is always a good sign! It took about 15 minutes for my food, and with a small staff, patience is definitely They also have a ton of unique snacks I've never seen before, so definitely be adventurous and try something new. It's not as big as their Bridgeton location, but it's perfect if you live in the area and don't want to trek all the way to the city or Cherokee Street for that authentic taste. If you're looking for a low-key spot to grab some real deal Hispanic food and maybe even do a little shopping, Casa Garcia in Florissant is it. Go check them out and tell them I sent you! #CasaGarcia #FlorissantEats #AuthenticFood #SupportLocal #FoodReview #STLFood #HeHimCurtis

Yelp
Cool to have a Mexican grocery store close by! Options somewhat limited due to store size. The food tasted good - we did wait a bit for our order, but it was a weekend so I'm not too surprised. Birria tacos were very good, only available limited days when we were there - weekends only I think.

Yelp
I had the street tacos (chicken and steak). My husband had chicken tamales. We loved everything.

Yelp
Authentic Mexican grocery store in my neighborhood. I met one of the owners and he was really sweet and super helpful. I got my Oaxaca cheese, all the Mexican Coke, Sprite and Jarritos brand sodas in regular size and liter sizes too! They make tamales in house and sell tacos on weekends. Also, fresh produce is delivered every Friday and they source a ton of items straight from Mexico. I stepped inside and felt like I had been transported to Tulum. They get pastries delivered from Lilly's Panadería also, which saves me a long drive. They also have Mexican rum and so much more. Check them out y'all, you won't be disappointed!

Yelp
Casa Garcia is a small Mexican grocery store with delicious authentic food and every day essentials. The chicken and steak street tacos were delicious. It was easy to order and my food was ready in no time.

Yelp
This reminds me so much of California. Walking into the store was everything. Customer service is outstanding. The staff is nice. Everything is organized, clean and fresh. I end up ordering a Carne Asada burrito with everything on it except for lettuce and guacamole and the flavors are ‼ my burrito was so flavorful and had so much seasoning. I couldn't believe what I was tasting. It reminded me of the taco trucks in the Bay Area. And the latte the corn was fresh. It still had some type of texture crunch to it, the ratio to toppings to corn was great. I ate my food in the car it was so good. I had to go back into the store and thank the lady for making my day because it just brought back so many memories of California. And plus I needed a bottle opener to open my jarritos drink. She said they are going to expand and hopefully get a restaurant so that way they can start serving margaritas and I told her that she is going to be blessed because the customer service was on point. The food was amazing and they had everything that you need to make everything homemade in your Casa. I will be back on a Tuesday to try your Birria tacos. That's what I really wanted, but they only make them on Tuesdays (for now)

Yelp
I went to Casa García 2 weeks ago for groceries. My service was amazing and the woman who helped me was very nice. I came back today to try the food that they serve on the weekends and I was more than pleased with the food and the customer service. I will be coming back to order more food and but more of their house made salsa. Thank you!!

Yelp
Absolutely love this market! Reminds me so much of Cali (west coast baby). The customer service is amazing. The owner is super cool. He always makes good of conversation. But the real review is the tacos! Oh my goodness! Being spoiled from Cali, I don't eat to many Mexican restaurants here in STL. But when I tell yall these street tacos & biarra are my favorite! I highly suggest them & don't forget to add an order of the street corn! Tell them V sent you!

Yelp
I went to two different stores looking for Sazón and Adobo. Then I remembered that a Mexican grocery store had recently opened in Florissant, and boom--they had both at a great price! The store is so clean and organized. We also found out today that they cook tacos and quesadillas. We tried the steak quesadilla, and it was AMAZING--and only $10! I will definitely be back!!

Yelp
Ordered chicken quesadillas, it was the best I've ever had. Seasoned to perfection!! Great service too!

Support Local, great friendly family store. Street tacos, tamales, limited groceries. Great service

Yelp
An authentic Mexican grocery store. Authentic chips, drinks, candy, seasonings, etc! They ALSO cook tacos, quesadillas, and tamales! The tacos are the best authentic tacos in the city! If you're looking for lettuce, tomato, shredded cheese, and sour cream, this is not the taco for you!
