This restaurant is very large and has two floors inside, the flat floor is mainly a bar where you can order pinchos & copas at any time of the day.
The upper floor is mainly for lunch and dinner, so it's only open during certain times of the day and reservations are highly recommended.
The waiters were very friendly and explained all the questions about the food in detail. They are always aware of the needs of all customers.
We ordered Kokotxas de bacalao al pil-pil, Chipiron Relleno, Guisado de oveja and Picaña de Buey Tudanco al corte, all of which were very tasty, with excellent quality and portion sizes.
I especially loved the Chipiron Relleno and Guisado de oveja, they both had very unique and strong flavors, but you could still taste the flavors of the ingredients themselves.
I also tried the D.O. Petite Txakolina from their own vineyard, which was the best I've had so far.
This is a traditional restaurant in a beautiful town in the Basque Country.
The food is a combination of tradition and innovation, and a Michelin experience that is rare in the countryside. If you have the chance to visit this region, I highly recommend you to try it, you won't regret it.
