The 12 Best Breakfast Spots In New Orleans - New Orleans - The Infatuation

"Casa Honduras, a former Shoney’s turned Honduran restaurant, is sort of like three businesses in one: an affordable breakfast spot full of families, a sports bar to watch soccer during the afternoon, and a discoteca at night where you can dance and do a shot of gifiti, a rum-based botanical that’s a Garifuna tradition. But you’re here for breakfast, which means that pupusas with stretchy cheese and tender chicharron and a baleada con todo are non-negotiables. For the latter, they take a thick white corn tortilla and fill it with refried beans, cream, queso fresco, avocado, scrambled eggs, and a big helping of carne asada. Always get some maduros and a maracuya or melon agua fresca as well." - megan braden perry

Avoid this place at all costs. They are very rude and racist. We ordered natural melon juice, and was brought water with sugar. We asked for it to be exchanged. The owner refused and wanted to double charge us. The owner was extremely rude and incompetent. To avoid an escalation , I paid 14.00 for the sugar and water and left.

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Wow! My experience at Casa Honduras Restaurant was absolutely amazing from start to finish. The moment I stepped in, I was greeted with warm hospitality and a welcoming atmosphere. The authentic Honduran cuisine was nothing short of exceptional — every dish was bursting with flavor and prepared with fresh, high-quality ingredients. The staff was friendly, attentive, and truly dedicated to making sure we had a fantastic dining experience. I especially loved the [mention a specific dish you enjoyed, if any], which was perfectly seasoned and beautifully presented. Overall, Casa Honduras offers a wonderful blend of delicious food, cozy ambiance, and outstanding service. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable meal. I can't wait to return!

I called to place an order for pick up. A lady answered the phone speaking Spanish. I told her I did not speak Spanish. She said okay and hung up on me. No English speaking customers allowed I guess!!! Very rude!!!

On this evening Sunday February 11, 2024 on or about 9:00 p.m. I decided to stop by this restaurant because I had a taste for some food from Honduras. As I was sitting down looking at the menu an employee starting mopping around the area where I was sitting and she also started making alot noise by moving table and chairs around. When I started to place my order my waiters started in a very loud tone of voice that she does speak any English and returned to the back of the restaurant Spanish to one of her co-workers. Little did she know that I speak and understand Spanish enough to have a conversation. After enough of terrible customer service I got up and let the restaurant.

I came in excited to try this place out but unfortunately the lady was very rude in the a.m she literally slammed her pen on the counter top because I wasn’t ready to make my order. She didn’t even ask what we wanted to order to eat just standing there. Her attitude was horrible. Sadly she ruined the vibe for me. The breakfast is a 0. Pupusa was a 3. Baleada was the only good thing. I still left her a tip. Next time she should treat people kindly. Tv was loud and a full blast speaker.
