Oh this place was amazing. I expected it to be good and it exceeded my expectations. The meatballs were super flavorful and delicious, worth writing home about. I’d never had meatballs with so much flavor. I thought maybe the chef uses veal, pork and beef, BUT NO. Turns out they’re made with dry aged beef. And that’s what gives them such a great flavor. The malfadine with the meat sauce is also delicious. I loved the chocolate lava cake. And the tiramisu was superb. The portions and prices are completely fair, which is a nice find in NYC.

This place wowed me. My husband and I booked this on a whim on New Year’s Day since we were in the area.. Can I just say how happy I am that we did? Food: incredible, homemade, authentic Italian dishes. The fried mozzarella was amazing and that sauce!!! The sauce!! So good. We split the chicken parm (which was massive) and we soon wished we had double of the pasta that came with it. As if it couldn’t get any better, the gelato was probably one of the best desserts we have ever had. The service was great and our server/bartender was attentive, friendly, and overall a joy! Especially for having to work on a holiday. We will absolutely make it a point to be back- and we are from PA! So happy we found this.

Ambiance (5/5): There was plenty of seating both indoor and outdoors so we were seated immediately on a weekday. The inside is minimalistic but sleek, and has plenty of space between the diners. Booth seating along the walls and areas that can accommodate larger groups. Service (5/5): We were helped throughout the dining experience. Additional freshly grated cheese offered at the start of the meal! Hot Louie : The pizza was delicious (although something could be improved in the dough)! After we finished eating, we asked our server if he preferred the Sicilian vs the regular and he preferred the regular. Pro tip: you can also ask for the Hot Louie but cooked on normal pizza. Mafaldine Bolognese (5/5): I loved the pasta more than the pizza! It just had so much flavor and was generous on the meat portions. I would definitely recommend and come again to try their other dishes!

My daughter and I both have celiac disease We were looking for a restaurant for our first night in New York City. He was a party of five including 3 teenagers &.2 adults. We found this restaurant and were blown away with the food and the service. We had an amazing server – grandpa Ben – he made our experience better than we could’ve imagined! If we lived here, we would be back at least once a month. I highly highly recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting the city.

We went here for the first time last night. The atmosphere was perfect, food was amazing, service was top of the line. The pizza here is top of the line and plenty of gluten free options. I heard they make the crust from scratch and you can tell it was delicious. Highly recommend trying Casa Louie. Thank you to the chef and his staff. Job well done!

So happy to find another favorite dinner restaurant. Tried this out while in the area for a business event. Helpful staff members, quick service, and amazing pizza. Do yourself a favor and request honey on your choice of white sauce pizza. 10/10. Loved the vibes, and places like this make me so happy! ✨

Every sauce you get is 3 dollars. The main mozzarella was light and had a nice light pinch of lime, it made its taste a way better experience but not too overwhelming. The 6 piece pizza was a piece I couldn’t finish. The pepperoni was sweet but the thing was burnt and funny enough didn’t come with extra shredded cheese. The drinks were strong so don’t have too many hopes on the taste. Overall the service was on time, he asked so I didn’t have to for seconds and was aware of us even while people came in.

STELLAR! I’ve been here 3 times. And will be back many more. From the food to the staff, a great addition to the Hudson yards area! The mozzarella was super fresh and all of the pastas were so flavorful. The Hot Louie, I need more of - it was so tasty! Perfect portions to share.

This place is such a gem -- great vibes and a great place if you're looking for gluten free options! We tried the Upside Down and Hot Louie, both on gluten free square crusts, and both were delicious. They were hot, crispy, flavorful, & great portion size. The owner of the restaurant was also super nice. He came out to greet us & we chatted about my being gluten free & he ended up topping up our wine glasses on the house! Definitely will be coming back here soon to try more of the menu.

Gluten free pizza is one thing. This gluten free pizza is beyond anything I've had. Crust was phenomenal, not that frozen stuff most places use. Fluffy and crispy edges. Omg I don't want to go back to Boston. Oh yea, the restaurant is great too, cute little Italian place. Staff was spot on.

Had to get Italian while in NYC. Pretty small menu, cozy seating, good spot for a date, pretty intimate ambiance. Great customer service from the staff. The peppers in the calamari app was a nice touch. The pasta was nicely cooked, the sauce was deep and rich and meaty

First time! Was an all around great experience. The location is very quaint and clean. Our waiter was very accommodating and knowledgeable. Made good recs including the fried mozz. Also ordered the hot louie and rigatoni vodka. Loved cheesy pizza crust. Large portion sizes full of flavor. Will definitely return.

Casa Louie is a nice, casual Italian eatery. The food is very good but the service is excellent. We will bee back often!

Service was good food is normal NYC price Pizza was good but we didnt like the lemon taste... Fried Mozzarella can be skipped ... The coating is too thick seems like a store bought mozzarella stick. Without the lemony taste pizza was good! Just not used to the lemony flavor.

A nice newer addition to the neighborhood but the restaurant is still figuring out the kinks. Overall we were disappointed with the food and the service, we also found the restaurant to be pretty corporate -- felt more like a lunch restaurant for the nearby offices than a high quality neighborhood restaurant. One of the people in our party was gluten-free, most Italian restaurants have options, instead the server decided to lecture us on how Italian is very gluten heavy (shocker!) -- you'd think in this day and age they'd have a pasta or pizza base to accommodate. It's not like it's a choice. The rest of the food including pastas, salads and burrata was good.

Our first stop on our Gluten Free vacay. I'd marked this and downloaded a pic of the arugula pizza. It was everything I wanted, and twice the size I expected. It was a square thick crust deep dish pie. Enough for the two of us to share, with a small piece to eat for breakfast the next morning. I've thought about this pizza every day since. It was a hot day in June, and the a/c wasn't working well that day, but it didn't take away from the ambience, the service, or overall satisfaction.

Updated review since we went back for brunch. Still a solid spot! I really liked the focaccia that was used for the avocado toast and appreciated that they scrambled the eggs instead of poaching them per my request. Don't know how long this is going on but they offer a complimentary mimosa during brunch :)

Just a block away, Casa Louie has become a quick neighborhood favorite. Met my son for a nice lunch and an overdue chat. We went the Italian route (!): chicken parm for him and eggplant parm for me. Both were delicious, following that with espresso and a shared tiramisu! It was a relaxing and enjoyable experience and our waiter could not have been better. The music was even great!

I came to Casa Louie tonight with my family. The food was amazing and so fresh. We had a salad pizza for appetizer, and then we each had these entrees- Chicken Piccata, Bolognese, Rigatoni w Vodka sauce and GF Gnocchi. There were a tons of yummy GF options. My family is not Gf and I am and they said they wouldn't have known it was GF. We all shared tiramisu and vanilla gelato with olive oil and maldon sea salt. Everything was so delicious. Our waiter Ben Was so personable and attentive. The restaurant was cozy and the atomosphere was fun. Highly recommend!

I'm always in search of gluten-free pizza so I was so happy to see this pop-up on my feed and had to go try it. I was lucky enough to arrive when they had happy hour so they offered $10 glasses of wine. I started with the gluten-free Caesar salad and will say it was a bit salty. My friends ordered the calamari and loved it. We shared the pizza and it was so delicious especially if you order their homemade ranch on the side to dip. My friend ordered the shrimp pasta, which was supposed to be a scampi, but it was not exactly that flavor palette so she didn't enjoy it. They were super accommodating to her and offered to give her something else instead or take it off the bill, which was very nice of them. The restaurant itself is very spacious and seems to be able to accommodate larger groups. I will definitely be back to try more of their gluten-free pizzas.

The staff at Case Louie were absolutely fantastic! And a huge thanks to Ben for making our evening so special. We followed his recommendations and got the meatballs, hot honey pizza pie, and a side of broccolini to share. Everything we had was absolutely delicious, and the Sicilian style pizza had a unique paramsen crust.

first off I walked in asking for Louie, and Christian the Bartender (Not a hosted) responded. I am so glad that he did because his answer led me to stay. Christian created a drink before he ever knew I existed and it is now my ABSOLUTE favorite drink. It's called the Mr. Grey. I highly recommend. I proceeded to sit at the bar just because his hospitality was so over the top that I wanted to spend more time in his presenc. I haven't ordered any food yet so I can't tell you about the food. However the Mr. grey will absolutely bring me back.

Simply an amazing experience here at Casa Louie. Each meal was so tasty and filling, ingredients were fresh. Shoutout to my server Amelio and manager David for your suggestions and just making me feel valued. Not pictured was my dessert the gelato with sea salt and olive oil . I've been back 4 times already since this visit last week

I really enjoyed Casa Louie! We walked in with no reservation on a Thursday around 5:30 and were able to be seated right away. By the time we left it was full! The staff was super friendly and efficient. We started out with the Spiced Olives and the Calamari and both were great. The Calamari was perfectly crispy and came with pepers so it was slightly spicy, which we really enjoyed. The olives weren't overly pickled and had a nice smooth flavor. For our main we got the Sicilian Style Vodka Pie. I expected it to be spicy, but it wasn't spicy and more on the sweet side, overall it was delicious. We asked for extra parmesan which I expected out of a shaker but it was ground in front of us! We also got the Shrimp Scampi and the pasta was al dente and the shrimp well cooked, with a light flavor. We got the broccolini on the side and thought it was perfectly cooked and delicious. For desert we tried the vanilla gelato, without any toppings, and enjoyed how creamy it was. Overall I enjoyed this place and will be coming back. The ambiance was nice and saw a lot of friend groups getting together here!

Some of the best gluten free pizza in the city. Service was great, everyone was very friendly. Ate here with a toddler and they couldn't have been more accommodating. Would highly recommend.

Fabulous experience!! Delicious pizza (Sicilian or regular), pasta, salads. Service was excellent. Same owners as Friedmans. Will be back soon & highly recommend!! Note for GF/celiacs: a lot of the menu is or can be GF. The waiter was very knowledgeable & explained that the kitchen is a shared space but they have a separate preparation area and separate utensils for the GF items. The oven is shared with regular pizza but the GF pizza is cooked separately on its own tray. We had beet & burrata salad, mushroom pizza & carbonara pasta and it was all *excellent*. The pizza dough is made in house from Californian GF flour mixed with buckwheat flour and it's a lot like focaccia. It's phenomenal!! So excited to eat this. No side effects. And the food comes with GF flags.

I am the biggest pizza snob and I must say that Casa Louie is TOP TIER!! one of the more elite pizzas I've had. The aesthetic, the undercarriage, the crisp, the tang of the sauce. Portnoy would easily put this in the 9's. Elite pizza in an upscale environment. Run don't walk!! And PS everything else on the menu is just as elite!

Solid spot for pizza!!! You must order the cacio pepe pizza!! I saw a review below that they didn't have many gluten free options so they must have changed that because they now have a ton! My GF friend said the sicilian crust was one the best shes had! Great espresso and dirty martinis!

We live across the street from Casa Louie and have been six times. The food is consistently great! The pizza crust is so good, the chicken parm, the meatballs, the pasta- you can't go wrong. The cocktails are well balanced as well. But most importantly the service is EXCELLENT! Every server is so kind and attentive. They do a great job of coursing the meal and resetting the tables. The owner is always around-- observing and pitching in to support service, which is really inspiring as someone in the service industry. He is very kind and personable. They go above and beyond by recognizing us and adding special touches. Highly recommend!

So happy this place opened on the west side. The food is incredible. Amazing pizzas, pastas and salads. Great cocktails. Chill vibe. Already have been here 3x in the last month. Everything has been so delicious. Consistently great each time. Great job!!!

Amazing food and amazing service! Highly recommend the Hot Louie Sicilian square pie, carbonara pasta, and olive oil gelato. But what truly made our night was our server, Ben - a sweet, energetic Italian man who greeted us right away with a joyful "Buona sera!" and had the most amazing energy. He was so nice and attentive, and made us smile every time he came by. The ambiance is perfect for a date night and I loved the decor and prints they had. The manager was great too. Can't wait to come back!

So I hate to do this because I live right next door and probably will be coming back regardless just due to proximity but they're definitely still finding their footing. I was craving pizza and love thicker style square pizzas like detroit or sicilian so I ordered the upside down sicilian for pickup. After putting in the order I never got confirmation that the restaurant had received it (might be a grubhub problem) and then never got a notification that it was ready so I called their phone number several times and it seemed to be disconnected. Finally I decided to just run over and check on it and the pizza was ready, I just wasn't notified. Guy at the front was very friendly and apologetic. The worst part unfortunately was the lack of tomato sauce on my pizza, and the lack of crisp on the bottom pizza crust. The reason I love square pizzas is for the thick bite + crispy bottom but the bottom of this one was soft, almost soggy and since there was a lack of tomato sauce it felt like I was eating just bread+ cheese which ends up feeling dry and rubbery. Unfortunately I didn't have any tomato or marinara sauce at home either or I would have ended using it as dip. I'm hoping that I just had a one off experience maybe because they were close to closing time but I'm disappointed in the quality of the pizza. This sucks because I love to support and get excited about new businesses and restaurants opening up right in my neighborhood. Again, I'll probably come back because I literally live right next door but I just hope things improve a bit!

Best shrimp scampi I have ever had. The pasta was amazing, the sauce was incredible, and even the shrimp themselves were cooked to perfection. Also had the pizza and the rigatoni pasta, which were equally as good. We had the sweetest waitress and the host himself doted on us. Tiramisu was creamy and delicious. 10 out of 10!!! Amazing service.

The four was absurdly AMAZING! We also got our food really fast and the waiters were really nice. Best Italian food I ever had in my life.

What a hidden gem in the Hells Kitchen neighborhood. My wife and I came on a Thursday night and it was such a great vibe. Don't be fooled by this place, the chef running the kitchen has a long excellent background working with top notch Italian chefs from all over the US. As we decided on our drinks which were awesome and priced great for NYC. As we discussed how to take on the menu, we started with the meatballs as an appetizer. They were delicious with the slightest hint of a kick, it was perfect. We then got the eggplant parm which is a straight up classic and made perfectly. The sauce is sweet and you can taste the tomato flavor. The bolognese was an incredible. The combination of the ingredients with that meat sauce was rich, buttery, had a great texture and cooked to perfection. We were pretty hungry by then but had to try the pizza which could be one of the top spots in NYC alone. The pizza is their secret but not so secret weapon. Do not sleep on this place, it's going to get packed soon, get there now to try it!

I have been to Casa Louie many times and I have to say Ben is the best waiter I have ever had in my entire life. He made the experience and restaurant incredible. I will be going back specifically just because of him!

We ordered two pizzas for delivery. The thin crust extra crispy tomato pizza and the thin crust extra crispy broccoli pizza were delicious! The delivery was on time. Look forward to ordering again!

Probably one of the best pizzas I've had in a while. I sat at the bar and started with a delicious cocktail. Staff was very friendly and knowledgable. Space is welcoming and modern. Will be back! Great addition to the neighborhood!

While the service was good; I can't recommend the shrimp scampi. I had read here that it was great, not true. Who ever heard of shrimp Scampi with no garlic!!?? There were 5 large shrimp on top of some noodles and white beans in a bland white sauce. Very boring. The mixed salad was OK, but, nothing special. I won't be back.

Amazing restaurant! They have the best gluten free pizza!! The crust was thick and delicious. They offer gluten free pasta and a few appetizers. 10/10 recommend

My family and I stopped in here tonight while on vacation in NYC. My son and I had the pizza, my daughter had the pasta carbonara, and my wife had the ravioli... the staff was friendly or courteous, the service was fast, and the place was clean. We started with calamari, with the jalapeños, some cappers, and red pepper, it had a very unique tasty spice to it... the pizza was fantastic, it was very tasty and light... had a great crust, no flop, not greasy... I'm a Chicago pizza guy by preference, so this sort of pizza isn't really up my alley typically, but it was so good!! My wife and daughter both really enjoyed their meals as well. Save a few slices of pizza we couldn't finish (I'd say the pizza would feed 3) there were no left overs. The portions were the perfect size.... My son already wants to go back tomorrow. This place was super tasty, and a few blocks outside of Times Square so it also avoids the crowds. I never leave reviews either but felt this place deserved one !

had the upside down pizza and it was great! the crust is amazing: light, crunchy, melt in your mouth. the carmelized cheese made me think of bacon. so yummy. Ben was our waiter and the best, friendly, professional and dropping off little bits of Sicilian flavored short stories while servicing our table. this is a new go to spot for me. it's perfect for Sunday night dinners. very open, airy space with plenty of light. a nice spot too to sit and watch people and traffic go by
