The 26 Best Restaurants in Medellín, Colombia | Eater

"The landscape of the Oriente Antioqueño has always been a place of pilgrimage for its landscapes and rustic restaurants. Casa M stands out for its stunning view, cozy atmosphere, and food that reflects the surroundings, with ingredients supplied by the restaurant’s own garden and a focus on the grill. A mountain bistro with a modern approach, the place serves items like fried arepas with tuna tartare, sunflower and pumpkin seed Caesar salad, rabbit confit gyoza, and grilled pork chop with smashed potatoes and creamed spinach. It’s a perfect place for a long weekend afternoon." - Liliana López Sorzano

We had a decent experience here at Casa M to celebrate my birthday with a total of five people. It's a bit tucked away but fairly simple to get to. When reserving via Whatsapp they send you solid directions to be able to find the place. It's a cool finca style restaurant that practices farm to table dining in a relaxed home environment. Everything we ate was extremely delicious - we tried many menu items but the ones that stood out the most were the beef tartare, burratta, plantain gnocchi, ribeye steak, braised pork shoulder, and a toasted white cake for dessert. The cocktails were also delicious we tried the gin basil as well as the negroni. It was definitely an amazing experience - the only slight downside that we experienced was the servers coming to snatch plates and cups out of the way without asking if we we're done. They took a friends cocktail, they took a few almost finished appetizer plates, and wine glasses when they should have asked. On top of that they were not refilling waters as quickly as they should have been. I would recommend coming here but just be mindful that the servers may be snatching so keep that in mind. All in all, delicious restaurant and I'm glad that we were finally able to come after wanting to check it out for many years.

This is not a Restaurant! This is an Experience! This is what we live for, a combination of amazing food with veggies from the farm in their own property, a selections of the most amazing curated wine list and a fantastic view, The service is also top notch, everyone is super profesional and very polite! And last but not list is the fantastic nostalgic latin music play list that make you feel you are in another world, that make this place, provably one of the most incredibles experiences I ever been on I wish everyone is able to enjoy it as much as I did!

This is by far the best restaurant at Medellín, fact you may feel in its really paradisiac location with an astonishing view; great selected music; best attendance i had by the chefs.themselves this a a chef house, they cultivate their own ingredients paying the maximum respect to them, sweat, acid, salty, spicy, and full of creativity; and wait for it... This happens.every month, every month is a new menu experience

I truly wish I could praise Casa M across the board. We love the setting and the people are kind, attentive, and professional. Our first experience a few weeks ago - during a weekday - was delightful. Sad to report our Sunday experience yesterday was disappointing. We had a noon reservation and the restaurant was not ready for us. We waited an hour between the appetizer and main course and the food, when it arrived, was only slightly warm. The tartar was not a good choice. It had the flavor taste and smell of old ground beef. It must have been the recipe or preparation but it was unappetizing and we simply couldn’t eat it. Casa M - to their enormous credit - didn’t charge us, so they truly stand behind their product. But even with that, for an appetizer, two chicken dishes and two beef dishes, two asparagus and side potato additions, two cocktails and two glasses of wine, a bill of almost $900,000 COP seemed slightly high. The Sunday ambience is family oriented, naturally, but with the bussle of small children and babies, and a little too much volume on the music, we found ourselves shouting across table in an effort to converse. To be sure it’s tricky to balance all these variables, but I feel Casa M, for all their efforts, came up short. Regrettably.

Slightly off the beaten path, Casa M is a "Finca" (country house/ farm), which was turned into a restaurant. Sweeping views of the lush green landscape. We were there for lunch and the service was excellent. I highly recommend you stick to the appetizers. They have a nice selection and every one was delicious. Worth the trip to escape from the bustle of Medellín
