An Editor's Guide to Wellness in Ibiza | Condé Nast Traveler

"Nestled in the center of Ibiza, this place is famed for its farm-to-fork restaurant and vibe—think DJ after dark, wooden tables, Edison bulbs, and cooler-than-cool waitstaff that live rent-free in my mind—yet insiders check in to stay. With just 10 rooms (3 suites and 7 junior suites), each space nods to local fincas with white walls, dark beams, and heritage details, balanced by modern comforts like dreamy linens, coffee machines, and a well-stocked mini bar. Mornings mean sunrise from the terrace and a breakfast spread of acai bowls, fruit platters, and eggs; lazy pool days drift by with smoothies or cocktails and a wander through the kitchen garden. Remote and rural, it’s far from the party scene and glossy resorts, and it leaves me rested, restored, and in love with a quieter Ibiza." - Sarah Leigh Bannerman

Nice hotel with spacious bedrooms, nice pool and lovely views over Ibiza Old Town. However, once you arrive, the hotel tries to extract as much money out of you as it can. Nothing is complimentary, not even water. The prices they charge are exorbitant. Breakfast was not included in the room rate and you can only order breakfast from an a la carte menu. A bowl of tiny muesli and yoghurt was 18 euros. Breakfast for 2 people cost in excess of a 100 euros and what’s more they add a minimum service charge of 12.5% on top. As for dinner, they take the mark ups to a different level, with a small bowl of lettuce leaves with dressing costing 35 euros. If you’re thinking about having some wine, then forget it as the average mark up is about 6 times, with a glass of white wine costing 90 euros. If you’re wanting room service you have to order from the restaurant a la carte menu with no other simpler options and as a result you see guests ordering deliveries from outside the hotel. On our departure we asked for a late checkout of an extra 3 hours but were informed we would be charged an extra 180 euros for the privilege. We declined their kind offer !|In summary this is a nice hotel for those wanting a hotel outside the bustling atmosphere of Ibiza town. However, the hotel knows it has you captive once you arrive and therefore this is really a hotel for those with more money than sense, who don’t mind being taken for a ride.

We had an amazing stay at Casa Maca! It’s a peaceful spot with beautiful grounds and view of Ibiza Town, especially from the porch outside our room. The room was very clean, nicely furnished, and the bed was super comfortable. The shower setup was with good pressure and a little window to help prevent fogging up and a cute view. The saltwater pool was refreshing and never too busy, perfect for a quick dip or a relaxing afternoon. Lisa, the Concierge, was incredibly helpful throughout our stay. She assisted us with reservations, local recommendations, calling taxis etc. and made everything run smoothly. Her help really made a difference!! The restaurant at Casa Maca is also fantastic. Every meal we had there was delicious, and the vibey setting and service were just as good as the food. Even if you’re not staying at the hotel, it’s worth visiting for dinner. The location is also a big plus. It’s close to Ibiza Town, but still feels quiet and tucked away from the crowds. Easy to get to the NE side of the island as well. Highly recommend staying here. We’re already looking forward to our next visit!

What a view. A little tip is to get here before sunset and watch the change in scenery once it sets. The food was meh but the view more than made up for it. They ask you if you want bread, jambon, and olives to start but dont tell you its like $80 euros total. For dinner we had the mashed potatoes with truffle, filet, and fish of the day which was sea bass. We also had the corn on the cob. The sea bass had too many bones in it and filet was chewy. The bread pudding was probably the best part to the meal. 3.5 stars.

A beautiful, quiet luxury hotel tucked away in nature among olive and pine trees, with gorgeous views of the town. The service was personalized and impeccable. Our room was spacious and comfortable, and the pool area beautifully nestled on the hill. ||The trendy restaurant had such a great atmosphere with stylish guests and absolutely delicious grilled steaks. ||It felt like a gem and totally elevated our Ibiza trip.

From the moment we arrived Casa Maca exceeded every expectation. The service throughout our stay was flawless - attentive yet unobtrusive - creating a sense of ease and relaxation that is rare to find. What makes Casa Maca truly special is the feeling that you are not simply staying in a hotel, but in a welcoming home surrounded by nature. The accommodation is thoughtfully designed, with suites discreetly nestled among beautifully landscaped gardens. Each suite feels like your own private villa, offering space, privacy, and an intimate connection to the surrounding countryside. Waking up to sweeping views of Ibiza Town and the sea is simply unforgettable. Casa Maca is steeped in history, set on an old finca that has been lovingly restored while maintaining its authentic charm. The grounds are dotted with centuries-old olive trees, rustic stone walls, and lush greenery, blending heritage with comfort. The restaurant is another highlight - a destination in its own right. Rooted in farm-to-table philosophy, much of the produce comes directly from the land surrounding the hotel. The open grill, with hanging meats, peppers, and vegetables, creates both a visual spectacle and a culinary experience. The flavours are honest, fresh, and deeply connected to Ibiza’s traditions, making every meal memorable. Casa Maca manages to combine authenticity with luxury, history with modern comfort, and attentive service with a relaxed, home-like atmosphere. It’s a place that lingers in your memory long after you’ve left – and one we can’t wait to return to.

One of the best dining experiences we have ever had. Service was impeccable, the vibe and ambiance is unmatched, and the quality of the food was spectacular! We had a tour of the farm before being seated to our table with the best view of Dalt Vila. Worth every penny. We will make sure we have dinner here each time we visit Ibiza. We recommend a table just before sunset so you can see the place in both lights.

Truly disappointing experience and poor service. We were seated directly beside the grill, and upon kindly requesting to move due to ash flying into our food, our concerns were disregarded. Walk-ins were being seated in the covered, more comfortable section—away from the grill—while we were told no tables were available, despite several being clearly unoccupied. It was disheartening to see new guests prioritized over ours after making the effort to travel here. We’ve been loyal visitors for years, but sadly, this visit will be our last. Great food, but unfortunately doesn’t make up for the two hostess’ attitude. On the other hand the waiters at the welcome lounge were quite attentive despite the rest of the experience.

I did not stay at the hotel but I only used the facilities for a day pass before heading to the airport in the evening. Amazing place, very relaxing and delicious food, where authenticity meets tradition. I’ve spent a day by the pool and ate at the restaurant which is superlative . I will definitely go back next time I’m in the island. In Rome we have amazing artichokes which are one of our traditional foods but the artichokes I ate in Casa Maca were out of the ordinary. Totally recommended!
