"Despite the Spanish name, Casa Madre includes influences from other cultures. The intimate dining room prominently features a backlit Himalayan rock salt wall. Start with a pickled turnip dirty martini and their pork belly wings tossed in black lime brown butter sauce with a side of crisp apple cilantro slaw in a cool yogurt dressing. For the main course, go for the adobo-rubbed rib-eye, topped with chimichurri and accompanied by roasted poblano scalloped potatoes and sauteed vegetables." - Jackie Tran

If you haven’t enjoyed a date night here, it’s a great place to start the evening. While quaint and unassuming from the outside, this cozy restaurant not only has a nice chill and upscale vibe, the food is also fabulous. Offering a depth of flavors and richness, I will be coming back for the food and atmosphere. They also offer a lovely back patio that will be a joy during the Tucson spring and summer evenings. Bravo Casa Madre!

I had the pleasure of celebrating my birthday at this incredible restaurant, and I couldn’t have asked for a more perfect experience. From the moment I stepped through the door, I was greeted with warm smiles and top-notch service. The ambiance was beautiful with the featured Himalayan salt bar which set the stage for an unforgettable evening. Every dish we ordered was a masterpiece—from the beautifully crafted cocktails to the rich, flavorful soup, the perfectly cooked steak, and the decadent handmade dessert. Each bite was a celebration of taste and quality. My friends and I were blown away by how everything exceeded our expectations. This has quickly become my favorite restaurant, and I can’t wait to return soon. Highly recommend for any occasion!

We went with my wife for my Birthday. Excellent choice. Perfect for an intimate/romantic dinner. We were served by Doma, she's the owner/chef/host/bartender/server at the bar. You can't get more personal service than that. She was passionately talking about the dishes, what she's trying to accomplish with every plate, in a very friendly matter. We asked for all the appetizers, Excellent decision caused allowed us to try different flavors. This Restaurant is Doma's dream come true, so I'm really happy to see someone accomplish its dream :) We'll definitely go back.

I wish I could give this restaurant more than 5 stars because it is a culinary gem. The ribeye is truly the best dish I have ever had in my life and the cocktails and appetizers follow close behind! Nothing compares to the love, detail and flavor put in these dishes. If you’re looking for beautiful space with outstanding food and immaculate vibes, check this place out.

We dined here earlier this evening and absolutely loved everything. Chef Dominque Stoller and her husband Morgan have created such an awesome restaurant. We thoroughly enjoyed the entire ambiance, the music/vibe, the attentive service and delicious food as well as drinks - the Horchata is amazing and refreshing. The entire staff is incredible and we look forward to coming back soon. We highly recommend this intimate and beautiful restaurant. Please call/book a reservation as seating is limited. Parking was also not an issue for us near the entrance. We most definitely will return to this wonderful gem near downtown.

Google
This is the best restaurant in Tucson. Small intimate dining room inside as well as outside dining. The food is fresh and flavorful. The sauces served with the meal really blend well with the entree. To top it all off, the service was excellent. This will be our go to place for special occasions.

Google
The vibe is on point. I didn’t care for how close the tables were together, so opted to sit at the bar instead. I appreciate the zero proof cocktail options. Personally I would tweak the chefs board a bit. It was a little light on the cheese and heavy on the other stuff. It came with some sort of pasta salad. I get that it’s a cheap filler, but it seemed like something that would come as a side to a sandwich, not on a board. Whatever the cheese was with the hibiscus(?) sauce on top was amazing! It could use one or two more unique items like that.

This tiny, beautiful little house is full of ambiance, history, service and great food. From the start of our leisurely meal, we enjoyed the individual service that only a few tables at a time allows the staff to give. Our server appeared to be the bartender as well, and the kitchen had only a few working that we could see. Had the most amazing mushroom soup I've ever had- creative and tasty drinks. Their house margarita with jamaica was killer! Our table tried fish, the chile relleno and chicken special. We were too stuffed for dessert but saw others order it and it also looked great. Tucson needs more spots like this! I'm so happy this one is here.

Yelp
One of the best dinning experiences in a long while. The Ribeye was the reason we went and the reason we will go back. great service and a chill vibe.

Yelp
We loved everything about this restaurant. The food was exceptional. Our group ordered the seasonal soup, chile relleno, rib eye, pork belly and shrimp. Each dish was beautifully prepared and delicious. The service was top notch. Our waitress was lovely and did not miss a beat on all of our requests. The ambiance was a mix of new and old --- it was romantic & cozy (brick walls, white table cloths and beautiful european dishware & glassware) and modern with a rock salt wall. This is a special place and I cheer for it's success. The team is doing everything right!!

Yelp
I loved the inside of this intimate new restaurant. I read the reviews ahead of time and was prepared for the how warm it would be inside (wore shorts), but I really hope they do something about the AC. They have a small menu (3 main entree options) which is fine but were out of the dish I came for (Tilapia) and one of their 4 cocktails (Nanas). They also brought out the main entree right after the appetizers instead of spacing the timing. We both really liked the Dirty Turnip-Tini. The Madre Margarita was interesting. The stone fruit caprese was really good as was the special appetizer of the night which was a shrimp beignet salad. We shared the ribeye and the steak was decent, just not very flavorful. I loved the roasted poblano chile scalloped potatoes it came with though. Our server was very friendly.

Yelp
So glad we found this gem! Got the last reservation on a Friday night. Lively music and friendly staff. Delicious and creative cocktails, small but excellent menu. Share the ribeye, even if you're not a typical meat eater, and choose another shareable for a memorable dining experience. Five stars all around.

Yelp
Great food, wonderful staff in a friendly and intimate setting. This family owned and run is a must on your Tucson dining list. Reservations highly recommended.

Yelp
This little restaurant (8 tables for two) is in the new building in the five points. My friends and I enjoyed dinner tonight this first week Casa Madre opened. I had a delicious stone fruit burrata salad with cherry and plum and burrata cheese. So perfect for a summer starter or meal. We also tried the bacon wrapped dates, which are a sweet and savory starter, prepared perfectly. There were three non- alcoholic drinks, three alcoholic cocktails, and a selection of wines. I got the Agua Fresca of the day and added vodka, which was guava lime special. I ordered the chile relleno of Cuban black bean puree & Arroz Con Crema. Fabulous dish. The menu will be changing and rotating so please check their website because chef mentioned the pending dishes coming in a week or two. There isn't yet a marquee outside so finding the entrance might be tricky at this point, so I posted my buddy pointing to the entrance off 18th. The restaurant was warm inside , since this is a brick building in summer in Tucson. Dress for the weather as if on a patio. This fall there expects to be additional patio seating. Reservations are recommended but walk ins are welcome. I'm looking forward to returning in the days ahead. Everyone at the table had a wonderful meal tonight. Thank you chefs!

Yelp
A small and intimate restaurant at 5 points. At first we could not find the entrance because there is no signage. Once inside the service was great. We ordered appetizers of the stone fruit Burrata and the pork belly buffalo style. Everything was fresh. The pork belly melted in our mouths. For my entree I had the tilapia. I loved the limequats on top of the fish, eaten together the flavors burst in your mouth. The potatoes were plenty and delicious. For dessert we had the lemon ice box cake and the homemade salted carmel ice cream. The ice box cake had a wonderful lemon curd and the meringue was a nice touch. It was warm in the restaurant, it felt like evaporative cooling, overall everything was great.

Yelp
What a wonderful gem of a restaurant! Cute, intimate, and very yummy. Great service. You're going to love dining here. I'd definitely recommend you try Casa Madre. Make sure you make a reservation, there aren't many tables. Hubby and I shared a shrimp cake appetizer, which came on top of an arugula salad- very nice. I had the tilapia, and he had a special chicken dish. They were both delicious. Make sure you save room for dessert.

Brianna G.

Yelp
We had a reservation for four and had the absolute best dinner at Casa Madre. The restaurant has very limited inside seating so highly recommend a reservation if you want to sit inside but the service was excellent, the drinks were delicious (I will say their margarita has a tart cherry base which significantly deviates from a traditional margarita. Not a bad thing but important if you prefer a more traditional margarita with a cherry flavor!) the horchata was absolutely delicious - not too sweet and easy to sip through out the meal. Every food item we got was incredible. The soup of the night was a cream of mushroom that was earthy and delicious, the bacon wrapped dates were the best I've ever had, The Gambas al Ajillo was a very generous portion of shrimp for a tapas and we split two mains between the four people and couldn't finish either the servings were so large. Notably the ribeye does NOT have a bone so be prepared for a VERY large serving of perfectly cooked steak. Would highly recommend this as a date night spot or special dinner with a small party.

Yelp
Amazing. Delicious. Gorgeous. This place is spectacular. It's small so be sure to book in advance. Their seasonal caprese was so good. The chili relleno was to die for. The margarita delicious. Everyone polished off their food. So fresh. So good. Wait staff were awesome. Definitely worth the price!

Yelp
This might be my new favorite spot! The restaurant is small and intimate, the staff is absolutely amazing and the food is beyond my expectation. We got the chefs board, tilapia, chili, stuffed with cheese, the steak and then shared the Sunday for dessert. Everything was perfect and we were all thrilled with our meal. Can't wait to come back.

Yelp
The food here was pretty delicious. Very promising new place if they can fix the cooling issues. We started with that nights special of shrimp beignets. Shrimp wrapped in a fresh basil leaf and then a tempura or rice paper wrapping. Served with a garlic citrus arugula salad. Nice bite from the basil and sweetness from the shrimp, balanced and great start to the evening. The stone fruit and burrata salad was elegant and the burrata was creamy and perfectly seasoned. The cheese and the tart cherries with balsamic glaze had a great balance of flavors and textures. The bacon wrapped dates were a miss for me. The dates were very sweet, bacon very salty and no flavor from the chorizo inside at all. Needed some acid or a creamy element. The ribeye was the star of the show. Herbaceous chimichurri over a perfectly cooked medium rare ribeye. The meat was perfectly seasoned and melt in your mouth. I was even able to cut with a butter knife. The poblano scalloped potatoes they were served atop were an amazing pop of flavor. I wish there were more potatoes instead of the bland zucchini pieces on the plate. We finished the night with the lemon ice box cake. It was a promising idea but can use some finessing. The meringue had unincorporated raw sugar left in it which made very gritty and overly sweet. The lemon curd had great sour punch and creamy in texture. The caramel inside had become to crystallize so it also had a grainy quality. If they could fix the meringue and caramel this dish will be stellar. **This place was so close to five stars but had a couple of facility issues. Very warm in there. No air was circulating which is an issue for a small space with tables very close together. Thank God I had my hand fan!

Yelp
They are off to a great start-beautiful space, warm attentive service and a great menu with super fresh food The pickled turnip cocktail is reason enough to return

Yelp
What a lovely culinary experience we just had at Casa Madre! Chef and owner Dominique Stoller aims to please with bold flavors in her dishes, clearly concocted with love. My husband is a chef and extremely hard sell, so when he is loving it, I know we have found a gem! Try the bacon wrapped dates, delish! I had the rib eye cooked and seasoned to perfection, he had the chile relleno dish, and not wanting our dining experience to end, we shared a tangy lemon cake (more like a lemon meringue cheesecake cake). Beautiful meal, relaxing, romantic ambience between the warm hued salt wall behind the bar, to the mood music, it was a memorable 10 year wedding anniversary celebration made special by the food, ambience and fantastic staff. We will be repeat offenders on a regular basis! Cheers!

Yelp
3rd time was the charm! Food & ambiance were excellent, but even more superb was the service. Outstanding!

Lacey J.

Yelp
Easily Tucson's best new restaurant. Relaxed, yet refined. Every dish from Chef Doma is full of flavor and love. Your eyes will be drawn to the magnificent salt wall behind the bar. But the presentation of each dish is just as beautiful. They're super thoughtful about allergies. The bartender, Erinn is outstanding. The cocktails are interesting and delicious. If I could give more than 5 stars, I absolutely would. Very romantic restaurant too. This is a must visit in Tucson!

Myth W.

Yelp
The most fun I have had in a long time going out to dinner. The ambiance immediately makes you feel at ease. I think it's the salt tiles they imported especially for the bar wall. It's illuminating the entire space with shifting colors. I ordered the Parsnip Martini which was the strangest cocktail I have ever had until it became the most delicious accompaniment to the gazpacho and also our salad. Truly inspired pairing that just got better with every other sip. The service made us feel special and at the same time at home. The steak was amazing and more than enough for the two of us. We finished with wonderfully presented fresh made ice cream with gold leaf and crunchy bits mixed in and a sponge toffee creating Proustian memories on the spot. Tucson is lucky to have Casa Madre add to the luster of the city of Gastronomy! Looking forward to going back!

Yelp
What a wonderful new restaurant. This small restaurant is intimate in every way. The food totally exceeded my expectations. The best steak I have had in years. Cooked to perfection. Tilapia moist & full of flavor. Thank you Doma & Morgan for creating this little diamond in the rough.

Lizzy T.

Yelp
What a delightful neighborhood addition! Everything was wonderful. The space is exquisite, the service warm and attentive and the food was beautiful. We will be back!

Jacques T.

Yelp
Tiny, intimate space. Great for a date or meeting. Service was friendly and accommodating. The place oozes passion project with attention to detail. I ate most of the menu and it was all excellent. My highlights were the turnip martini (impressive light umami) and the pork belly (crunchy and melt-in-your-mouth). The prices seemed a little high at first, but the quality and portion sizes fully justified everything. Excited to come back.

Yelp
I knew this was going to be a great experience from the moment I walked in! Doma's husband greeted me, and proceed to show me the work that was put in to the restaurant 3 years in the making. The Himalayan rock salt wall is beautiful! The black fixtures in the bathroom are equally as beautiful! So much heart and soul has been put into this place! My friends arrived, and we ordered drinks. I had the Madre Margarita, which was chock full of berries, it was a beautiful purple, and bursting with flavor. My friend loved her Turniptini! We ordered the stone fruit burrata and bacon wrapped dates - both were delicious, but the stone fruit and cheese were over the top! I loved swishing the burrata through the fresh cherry juice, what a great combo! I had the chile rellano, which was fabulous, the beans the were under the chile, and added to the flavor of the rellano. I thoroughly enjoyed the arroz con crema as well! Doma offered us a vodka shot infused with honey as a digestif - that was a nice unexpected surprise! For dessert, I had the lemon iced box cake! It came in a glass full of fluffy meringue on the top! I could have licked the glass! Do make reservations, as there are just 8 2 person tables, and 4 seats at the bar. It's a great cozy date night dinner place! It is warm inside the restaurant, so dress accordingly! There will also be outside seating in the near future on their cute patio!

Benny A.

Yelp
Amazing food with Amazing people creating it, killer vibe inside and the cocktails rock! Don't sleep on Casa Madre!

Erinn J.

Yelp
The drinks and the food are so good! Chef Doma put together a beautiful restaurant and menu that Tucson has never seen before. The salt wall creates a beautiful vibe and an unforgettable experience! 10/10 recommend!

Yelp
We celebrated my daughter's birthday here, so happy we did! Intimate setting with a modern flare. We loved every dish served..chefs board, amazing! Pork belly, so good we ordered another one! Caprese salad, fresh and on point with flavor. Ribeye and Fish entrees were bursting with deliciousness. Dessert was superb, thank you for the special birthday desserts! Book a reservation online and be ready to have the most enjoyable and memorable meal. Great date night place, very romantic! Thank you to all who served us, we look forward to seeing you again

Michael P.

Yelp
Delightful meal. Fresh, beautifully presented and delicious. Intimate setting with beautiful decor. I had the daily specials: Coconut ceviche served with fried plantains and avocado and the black bean soup accompanied by fresh garnishes of onions, cilantro, avocado and more to add as you like. Drinks were a nice surprise, starting with a refreshing tamarind Fresca and a marvelous chilled cocktail of chamomile tea and honey infused vodka served with a sugared rim. A perfect dinner for a summer night. Staff couldn't have been nicer. Located in a cool Tucson neighborhood.

ann k.

Yelp
Six of us enjoyed a truly memorable evening with Doma and her team. She and her husband, Morgan, have created a romantic hideaway at 5 Points. The atmosphere, wonderful staff, and first-rate food and drinks contributed to what I can honestly say was one of the greatest dinners of my life. I can't wait to go back!

Janet H.

Yelp
Weekly house lamb and duck shawarma special: seared saffron rice cake, saffron garlic butter drizzle, seared lamb, crispy shawarma duck, house tomato cucumber salad, hummus with chimichurrie, grilled pita, house made turnip pickles

Brianna M.

Yelp
Oh my goodness, I had the best chile relleno I've ever had here! The drinks were amazing too. If you like pickles, try the pickle martini. YUM! The service was excellent too.

Katie W.

Yelp
Seriously the best dinner and dessert my husband and I have had in a very long time! We don't go out very often and it blew our expectations out of the water! Our server Jenna was so sweet and knowledgeable, made us feel right at home! The restaurant itself is so romantic, we couldn't have asked for a better date night! Highly recommend the chile relleno and the ribeye!

Vanessa M.

Yelp
Intimate atmosphere and delicious food. Such a unique experience! Defined recommend for a cute date night spot. We ordered the ribeye. If you don't care for chimichurri order it on the side. Also tried the chile relleno and the tilapia. Everything was great!

Nancy N.

Yelp
