"Manioca, a name that is a combination of the Maní group’s other eateries (the eponymous Maní, run by famous chef Helena Rizzo, and Padoca), is its more informal offshoot offering comfort food and signature dishes from the group’s flagship restaurant. The day-to-day cuisine comes courtesy of young chef Thais Alves Braga who, having found inspiration in leading restaurants around Brazil, returned home to train up in readiness for the head role here. Manioca is located inside the Iguatemi shopping mall, in an extensive space with high ceilings and lots of natural light through its plant-adorned windows. The menu features a variety of “belisquetes” and burgers cooked in the Josper oven or, if you prefer, the famous PF Manioca (fillet steak served with a poached egg and roasted plantain), one of the house specialities. There’s also a mouthwatering selection of fresh fruit juices!" - Michelin Inspector

I had a 18 hrs layover at São Paulo and thought I can't miss the chance visiting Maní. I took the lunch menu and it was totally worth it. As a student I can't afford a high end dinner at a Michelin Restaurant. So it's nice to have the opportunity to experience the philosophy of of the restaurant in the lunch menu. It was simple traditional Brazilian food but you could taste the expertise of the chef's. What I really loved was the bread basket with the tapioca chips. I couldn't stop eating it with the cheese curd. I just wished there would be a tiny hint of extravaganza in the lunch menu and more options, but it's just a personal opinion :)

Very cozy place of the great Brazilian Chef Helena Rizo, after I saw her TV show on Netflix and I had the opportunity to travel to Sao Paulo I din't miss the chance to know her restaurant Mani. All in white and very natural. I meet her personally with my friends and we order a sample of the menu. The dishes start to come and we was delighted with every dish with traditional elements of Brazil like tapioca. All was like a dream for the senses, simple and very rich in flavors, only I can say that if you visit Sao Paulo, you can't miss this place for visit and try this great food. Also the service is great, all staff friendly. I love it

Tried the tasting menu and was disappointed. Half of the dishes tasted mediocre for a mid to high end restaurant, one of them (the one with fish soup with edamame beans and fried banana) was near random. The presentation of the dish was consistently beautiful, but why don't they spend more time to give the more substance to the taste beyond appearance and mixture of ingredients that just sounds creative. Would probably still come back to try the a la carte as some dishes were nice. Also I asked beforehand for a small desert with candle at the end of the dinner as it was the birthday of my boyfriend, this was confirmed by email on the same day of the dinner, but it never arrived. I also explained dietary restrictions by email beforehand and the staff confirmed that this would be passed onto the kitchen, but when we arrived they had no idea and had to explain everything again.

Super elegant food. Brazil meet Europe on the plate. Maní is at the top 3 list of restaurants in São Paulo you want to visit if you want to try Brazilian food at a high gastronomic level

Sophisticated, detailed and tasty. Arugula, broccoli, edible flowers...Lamb, Brazil nut crumbs, eggplant and onions... crawfish, fish stew and delicious sauces... worth it.

We enjoyed a thoughtfully crafted and delicious dinner last night at Mani. We did not have the tasting menu, but chose 3 dishes each from the menu. We received a complementary ceviche de caju, starters: lua lamen and sopa frio de jacuticaba and langoustine, mains: grilled octopus and lamb, and desserts: chocolate torte and the Motel California. It was very pricy, but worth a visit as a special occasion dinner.
