If you want authentic Mexican cuisine in South Florida then this is the place to go. This is the real deal. Chef Emilio travels to Yucatán, Mexico every 3 weeks to bring over the spices they use to make their dishes perfect. You can truly taste the quality. I was absolutely blown away by every dish we ordered. This a a family establishment and when you dine there you’ll feel like family. The servers are on point and will never let your drink be empty. They are very observant and are some of the best I’ve seen. I myself have eaten multiple tacos in Mexico and the food here is just as good, if not better. Emilio’s daughter Tita took over the restaurant 2 years ago and is doing an amazing job carrying out Emilio’s vision. This restaurant is a staple to our community and we will continue to dine here.

My husband and I had dinner there last night. It felt like a nice hidden gem away from the hotel area. We were greeted by a super friendly host and seated right away. The staff were also very welcoming and helpful. Our server was very knowledgeable and explained the flavors of menu items perfectly as I was asking for suggestions. The food and drinks were delicious. Would definitely recommend this to anyone in the area, and we will be back next time we visit.

A Hidden Gem! I had a spicy margarita and the combo fajitas—both were absolutely delicious. They even offered chips and salsa on the house, which was a nice touch. The ambiance really stood out, especially the illuminated countertop bar—it gave the place a modern yet cozy vibe. High-quality food, high-quality people, and it's family owned and operated, which you can feel in the care they put into everything. Definitely coming back!

Our party of 10 loved this place! We walked here from the Wyndham Deerfield Beach, which was a nice, 20 minute walk. Totally worth it! Our group loved the food, drinks, atmosphere, and service. Gaby was our server. She carefully took our order (without writing anything down), and somehow got everything correct. Everything was delicious.

Google
this restaurant is a local gemin Deerfield Beach. The new location maintains the same excellent food quality, but with a more authentic upscale Mexican feel. I’ve been coming here for years, and the experience always leaves me happy and satisfied.

Google
It was my first time here and I came on a Tuesday. I got this drink with guava, Guavarita it was so good. I recommend it. The restaurant has margaritas at a good price. It seems they have this awesome deal going with the tacos. We all got the tacos. The restaurant had a good selection to choose from. Most places only give you maybe 4 but this place has a good selection. They gave us a menu and a list to write down how many and which one. They then brought us the tacos. I liked them. I found them all good. The service was good and friendly. Olivia was great. We originally had to wait for twenty minutes to be seated. There is no fan bar you can wait. The counter is crowded with restaurant stuff. That would be my only complaint.

Sue A

Google
Absolutely terrible service with mediocre food. We were a party of 7 and the waitress who was named Mia Isabelle forgot to ring in an order so one person in our party had to watch everyone else eat. Not only did she forget to ring in his order, she did not even address the fact that he didn’t have a plate. She avoided our table like the plague and didn’t even apologize for her mistake. On top of it all, she proceeded to add 20% gratuity to our tab. Do not dine here if you want a good meal with good service. This is not the place. If I could leave negative stars I would.

Sari Sun

Google
The place seems very clean and decoration was tasteful. It smelled appetizing, they served about 4 sizzling fajita to neighbor tables 😋 The service was great but food was slow to reach us, at least the server acknowledged the fact and offered more nachos with salsa for the wait. Taco steak beef was very tender and fresh. They have a bar area with a couple of tables in the back, this restaurant makes very good use of their space without feeling too clotted. I would recommend it!

Yelp
Very nice restaurant atmosphere. Chips and Salsa were probably the best that I have ever had. Warm, crisp and such fresh Salsa. We started the meal with Mexican Street Corn - wonderful! I thought it was going to be too much crema or mayo - nope. Great balance of corn, seasoning, crema and fresh cheese. I am not a huge cheese fan, but I loved the cheese in this dish. For dinner we ordered beef enchilada (Boxito) and I had Chile Rellenos filled with seafood. The beef enchilada was flavorful and the Rellenos seafood was simple with Fish and shrimp. It was full of flavor, lots of sauce and the fish was a high quality fish that tasted like fresh fish - maybe Mahi. My only regret was going there when I wasn't very hungry. I probably would have enjoyed my meal even more and would have enjoyed more of the fresh chips and Salsa.

Yelp
Underwhelming experience. Tortilla soup did not come with toppings. Had to ask. The modern jazz is not the right music. The service is lacking. Everthing is extra. One chip and salsa, cheese and lettuce for fajitas...all extra We live in the Cove and walk here. We wish this was better. More authentic, mex music, Try harder. We might come back in 2026 Locals

Yelp
Found out about this place from Yelp actually, and wanted to try! Cozy, neighborhood vibe located in the cove plaza. Friendly service and the bar area felt updated and sleek. Started with prickly pear and watermelon margaritas which were tasty but kind of on the sweeter side. The chips and salsa they brought out were delicious. Mole rojo burrito was really good and you can taste the chocolate in the mole which was nice and authentic for Mexican cuisine. My friend liked the mahi fajitas and mentioned the flour tortillas were great. The only gripe I have is that the refill of chips and salsa was $4. Supposedly it was on the menu in really small writing. We weren't told there was a fee for refill when we ordered it and that's quite petty and bush league. I asked the server and he said the busboy should have alerted us upon ordering -- when in fact HE took the order. He apologized and said that's not right and then did nothing. When I got home the online menu said $2 for refill and we were charged $4. This isn't a complaint about $2, but rather that the online menu is misquoted and our server should've said there was a fee. It's always the PRINCIPLE of the matter not the cost. The food was good and worth returning to, but when management makes a goof and won't even eat $4 off the bill, it is hard to ignore that.

Yelp
Stopped in late afternoon for a lite snack and cocktail, wasn't too busy so I sat on the outside patio area which is peaceful. The passion fruit margarita is excellent plus they have many other options for craft cocktails on the menu. Wasn't too hungry so ordered the shrimp quesadillas which was perfect and tasty. Ashley was my server that day and she took great care of me, she was very attentive and had extensive menu knowledge, not to mention she was very personable and had a nice smile to go along with it. Cant wait to go back.

Yelp
We have always loved Casa Maya but are thrilled with the new location (just a few doors down) and the updated open floor plan. The food is always delicious and our server Jordan was attentive.

Yelp
Casa Maya has been our favorite Mexican restaurant for many years.Tonight was no exception. We arrived only 15 minutes before they closed and were the only customers in the restaurant but we were treated with courtesy and enthusiasm by all the staff. Our waiter Jordan was excellent and accommodated all our needs including modifications to some menu items.Everything was delicious. We shall return!

Yelp
This place was not great. There is a lot of parking and bathrooms available. There is a large restaurant with lights but this place is NOT lit up which made it hard to find at first. The server was nice but the actual restaurant was not a great experience. I had a spicy margarita and it was decent but I ordered the fajitas to share and when it came out they just brought the tortillas and the fajita plate with the meat. It was a very small amount of meat. But nothing else. I had to ask does anything else come with this like lettuce and I was told I would have to order that separately. Which is weird because why would that be separate it's not a high cost item and usually goes with the fajitas. Finally I flagged my server down because I saw the menu said it did come with rice and beans so I asked for them and he was like oh yeah I guess you do get that. Honestly the food wasn't that good, the service was slow, and you better know exactly what's on the menu or they'll try to give you the bare minimum. They also started me with a basket of chips and salsa and they said "this is your ONE complimentary basket of chips and salsa" which we wouldn't have asked for two anyways just everything seemed so cheap and sneaky here. I would not recommend.

Yelp
We used to go here frequently, but we were last here as a family about a year ago. Hubby had ordered the steak and said it was chewy and tough. It had been his go-to dish here for years. So disappointed, he didn't want to return. So the rest of us decided to give it another try. I was surprised to learn they had moved a few doors down. The newer location is much smaller and lacks the quaintness of the old spot. The focus appears to be on the bar now, including a woman going around to each table trying to get people to order the tequila. Our waitress was nice, but I felt like I was getting the constant upsell for drinks, apps, and dessert. Chips and salsa were provided, but I was surprised to be charged $2 when asking for "a little more salsa" to go with our last few chips. (Menu says charge is for a second "Chips and salsa.") The charge seemed a bit much to me especially since I didn't ask for more chips. I ordered the spinach enchiladas. I didn't think they were worth the price. The green sauce was a bit flavorless and thick, and the rice was not as good as I had remembered. I would've like to see some cheese in the enchiladas as well. Overall, I felt that the food was not nearly as good as it once had been. I left feeling rather disappointed.

Yelp
From the moment we walked in, we felt very welcomed. Jordan, our waiter was very attentive and suggested the brisket which was special for the day. We ordered the brisket nachos and the fish ceviche. They brought out the shrimp ceviche by mistake and fixed it quickly. The beer was cold and the Rita was delicioso! The owner stopped by our table to check on us. This place was really amazing!

Yelp
It was my first visit to this local Mexican restaurant. We were greeted as we entered and seated immediately. The dining room was dimly lit with pretty lighting. We were served chips and two different salsas, one hot and one mild. They were very good. I ordered a salad and my boyfriend ordered Al Carbon tacos with a side salad. He raved about the side salad but was not familiar with street tacos . I tasted one and thought it was good. My signature chopped salad had avocado, blue cheese / feta blend and grilled chicken. It was delicious. Our server was great and checked on us regularly. We thought the prices were fair and parking was easy in the parking lot. The restaurant's atmosphere was very nice and I am excited to try some other items on the menu.

Yelp
A must meal if in the Boca area!!! The food, the service and the restaurant are all fantastic! Jordan went above and beyond!! We will be back for sure.

Yelp
Would definitely return to Casa Maya! Just over the bridge in the shopping plaza. Parking is a little tight on a busy weekend so give yourself a few extra minutes. Sat outside on a nice evening. Service was good and there's a gentleman running everything who is truly awesome!! He was making sure everything was handled, helping his servers, inviting people in for a margarita, etc. So friendly and welcoming with an upbeat vibe. Ordered tortilla soup, chicken tostadas, beef birria tacos, margaritas and mocktails. Their chicken tostadas were okay (wouldn't order again), but the beef birria tacos were awesome!! Definitely order those! A cup of chicken tortilla soup is the size of an entree and quite tasty. Of course we received chips/salsa with the meal. The margaritas were excellent and really loved the mocktails!! Oh- they give u cute Chiclet gum packs at the end. Nice touch!

Yelp
Great customer service, Emma and Ashley were great. Food was good the ambiance is great, they also have an outdoor sitting area.

Yelp
Very good. They have a pumpkin sauce and it's so yummy. The drinks are great. Service fantastic. I can't believe I just found out about this place. Ty yelpers!!!

Yelp
I rarely write reviews, but this place was beyond disappointing. I ordered the shrimp quesadilla, and what I got was a dried-out tortilla with a sad scattering of shrimp--no cheese, no seasoning, absolutely nothing else. It was like someone forgot what a quesadilla is supposed to be. The rest of the food I ordered wasn't any better--completely inedible. Everything tasted either stale, overcooked, or just plain wrong. Honestly, I wouldn't serve this to anyone, let alone charge for it. Save your time and money and eat literally anywhere else.

Yelp
This restaurant gets busy. We waited for like twenty minutes before getting seated. They had chairs outside to wait. We walked the area instead. They texted us when the table was ready. The inside is long. I sat outside. I got a Guavarita. It was a guava drink that was very good. We ended up getting the queso fundido. We all liked it. It tasted good. The salsa here is very good. It was a Tuesday and the restaurant had a good taco special going. We got tacos. Olivia our waitress was great. She gave us a menu to choose from and how many tacos. They later came in a tray. Those little suckers are filling lol. They tasted good. I liked the tacos here. We all had a great time. The personalized take-home container was nice and very thoughtful. I enjoyed the Chiclets. They reminded me of my youth. I had a good time eating here.

Yelp
So, I had previously reviewed Casa Maya and given them more stars. We recently went, against recommendations from some friends, and we should have listened. The service was terrible. It's the bartender that took forever to get us a sangria and a beer. It's asking for water and it coming at the end of the meal. We are patient and typically not critical but this was bad. The queso fundido was the best thing we ate and the only reason this review isn't a 1. That along with the fact that our waitress did try but she was overwhelmed. Now, let's get to the food. The chips were stale. That's all I'll say there. We had the Mojo pork fajitas, chicken fajitas and the mole rojo enchiladas. This is what we all typically get when we go so we had historical experience to go off of. The food was not great and we all ended up with one heck of a belly ache afterwards. My husband actually ended up getting physically sick. It turned into a Pepto night. We later saw the multiple violations that the restaurant has had as of late and I wouldn't be surprised if there were more coming. What once was great is now not. We won't be going back.

Yelp
Food was very good , Ashley and Emma did a great job serving us. We will definitely go back there again.

Yelp
Good chicken tacos! Service by Kelly was 5 stars! Cozy lighting Next time I'm going to try Fajitas Sizzling platter of steak, chicken or both! With onions and peppers.

Yelp
Our favorite Mexican restaurant. Everything is fresh and tasty. Fresh guac and salsa to start. The octopus is so tender and delicious. We all loved our dinners. I got the Veracruz pescado which was delicious. Our server was Emma and she was excellent. We celebrated my grandson's 5th birthday. All the servers got together and sang to him. It's the perfect spot for families, couples or friends. Great service and food everything we come here.
google avatar

Yelp
The best authentic Mexican food in town. We love the variety of margaritas and we can walk home after a few. The staff are so friendly

Yelp
Food was absolutely amazing! Came in on a slow Monday afternoon (on a recommendation) for my bf's birthday, and we were not disappointed! The service was excellent and the food was delicious and hot. I have the codzitos (get the mixed plate!) and each one was better than the last. My bf had the campachanos tacos and he devoured the whole plate! Thank you! This place should not be missed when hitting up Deerfield Beach! Gaby was a great server!
google avatar

Brandon J.

Yelp
The food here is top tier, I've had good ceviche in my life and I can confidently say the shrimp ceviche is on the top in PBC. The service here is great! The staff make sure that the meal comes out great and that expectations are exceeded. I even heard there's live music here so I am definitely going to have to come back to experience that ambiance!
google avatar

Mike J.

Yelp
Mostly Mexican is generally all the same. This stands out. Every dish is very different. Actual house made salsa and chips. The tostadas and ceviche were fantastic. Margaritas were top notch. Service was great. Can't wait to return. If you're looking for Mexican don't miss this.
google avatar

Aaron B.

Yelp
Food and service excellent as always. It's nice that you re-did the interior. But I liked the old interior better. Thus, I am giving you 48 hours to return it back to the way it was before.
google avatar

Jen G.

Yelp
This is a superb Mexican restaurant located off of Federal Highway. The art mural art wall as you come in is splendid. The margaritas and guacamole are definitely not your average Mexican joint Margarita and guacamole. The flavor in any of their meat or bean dishes makes your taste buds dance, yearning for another bite..

Denise C.

Yelp
I am not sure what the poor reviews are all about (probably scammers trying to get comped meals nowadays or expect over processed food and do not know what authentic cuisine is). But anyways, take it from me who is a chef's daughter and a travel agent! Casa Maya Grill's new location is amazing! The food was so so authentic, generous portions and great pricing! Service was impeccable from Titi and her team! Everything was so quick and we taken care of for us so quickly. We would definitely come back and would highly recommend to my clients!
google avatar

Denise E.

Yelp
Omg! If you would like to enjoy authentic Mexican food, head over to Casa Maya! My favorite is anything that has Tulum sauce; however, others in our party enjoyed the octopus and the vegetarian enchiladas. Everything is fresh made and scrumptious! Our waitress had mentioned that they were out of Chardonnay, my favorite wine, so they brought me over a Pinot Grigio. The owner, Emilio came to the table and heard my disappointment and brought a Chardonnay from his private reserve. Thank you so much for making me feel like family! You're the best and we'll see you soon!!!
google avatar

Damian L.

Yelp
The octopus was amazing, so much flavor. Service was great. They treated out larger party wonderfully well on a Monday night.

Yelp
Website needs updated. Taco Tuesday is advertised as Tacos $3 and Margaritas $5 and that is NO LONGER THE PRICE! unfortunately.
google avatar

Vincent U.

Yelp
Our experience was absolutely terrible. I wasn't a huge fan of the drinks, food, service, or atmosphere. The restaurant was very small and had coat racks randomly placed next to each table which I found odd. We ordered an appetizer that didn't come out until our food came to the table. I ordered the spicy grilled pineapple margarita, the waitress dropped off the wrong drink. When I asked why it didn't look right she told me that it was right. It was incredibly spicy and had no pineapple flavor. When the manager came over she told me the drink was wrong and replaced the drink , but the pineapple was not grilled and there was some burnt stuff( looked like ash) sprinkled on top of the drink. My burrito came out with dry chicken and no sauce whatsoever. None of the food had at seasoning. The burrito and re fried beans were horrible and flavorless. On top of the off putting food the waitress we had was rude the entire time , when she didn't disappear. The manager who took over was friendly and did try to help make our experience , but sadly it was a lost cause at this point. I wanted so badly to like this place . I would give zero stars but the manager was great
google avatar

Menghai T.

Yelp
I came here on Tuesday and they have a special. Each taco is $3, I got a tuna, mahi mahi, steak, and pork belly. Each taco were pretty small, but for the price it's a good deal. I personally preferred the steak and pork taco. Staff was friendly. The inside had a cool Mexican restaurant feel to it. Overall a solid place for Mexican food, definitely come on a Tuesday for the special prices. 6.5/10

Erick G.

Yelp
Jordan was super nice and helpful, Samantha too don't think i forgot about u Samantha u both r the bomb . Com #staySpicy

Yelp
The tortilla soup is fantastic. Spicy Margaritas are awesome too. The service was great

Yelp
We came in on a taco Tuesday, by coincidence. The deal was great, $3 per taco considering they're usually around $6-7 each. The restaurant was very cute and clean. The staff had a great relationship with one another, always helping each other out. However, I'm giving 3 stars because the food wasn't as great as the reviews suggested. We ordered 7 different tacos, with most of them being dry and under seasoned. I put so much salsa on them to make up for it. My partner got the steak quesadilla and it was decent, nothing but steak and cheese and not drowned in butter. The real quicker was the guacamole! The price is not on the menu (it was $10.95) and it was small and not good. It is the same size as the complimentary salsa they give out. Our guacamole's avocados tasted a little funky, there were few seasonings, no lime, salt, anything. My partner said he'd come back but I don't think I would.
google avatar

Natalie F.

Yelp
Mia was great. Food was amazing! Got the pup Ian and verde enchiladas. The salsa is also always super fresh.
google avatar

Izayra O.

Yelp
Our first time coming to this restaurant and the food and service was really good. My husband ordered enchiladas, my daughter a burrito, and I ordered tortilla soup. The taste was homemade. We also ordered margaritas. I gave a 4 star rating because the burrito only had the meat inside, they should at least add veggies inside (the put the rice and beans outside) so it is different. The house margarita was too sour, but it tasted good. And they charge for more salsas for the chips. Make sure to pay the server as if you pay with the Q code, it charges you more.

Yelp
Coming to Casa Maya Grill has become a tradition for my mom and I to celebrate my dad's birthday since he passed in 2020. He used to come frequently and became friendly with the owners. I remember going with him once or twice and always enjoyed the food. During my last visit in August, I went with my mom and boyfriend. The service was quick and friendly as we had grown to expect. The food came out piping hot and absolutely delicious. We also tried one of their margaritas (forgive me, I forget the name) but nonetheless, it was delicious as well! The restaurant itself is deceiving in size because it appears to be a long alley with tables lining each side but there's actually a full bar and even more seating all the way in the back. Needless to say, we'll continue to return to celebrate my dad's birthday at a restaurant he loved. I find it to be a nice tribute to him and the yummy food is a bonus.

Yelp
My go to taco spot , even tho it gets very busy on Tuesday worth wait. My last experience I review was like that only because they were not busy

Yelp
When craving Mexican food, this is the place to go! The food is authentic and the service is superb, the staff is friendly, helpful and fast! The restaurant is beautiful inside and the bar has a great tequila selection. Emilio and Tita always go the extra mile making us feel like family, our server Mia was attentive, accurate and kind! We love Casa Maya!
google avatar

Mark B.

Yelp
This this place was a disappointment. The atmosphere was okay and the service was pretty good but the food was subpar. The enchiladas I ordered the beef was very dry and no flavor to them. Someone else had the shrimp tacos and didn't like the flavor also it was very bland. So either was an off night or they just haven't found a good cook. I hope they can improve their food so I can give them a better review.
google avatar

Tara C.

Yelp
If you haven't heard they moved 2 doors down into a New and Beautiful Space with tables, booths and high tops located in the Cove! Their authentic Mexican cuisine is by far the BEST in town! I give Casa Maya 5 STARS!!!!!

Yelp
Went to try this restaurant last night on a friends recommendation and was not as impressed as I was hoping to be. We were seated promptly and the waitress came over to start taking our order. We ordered simple food - a street corn for an app, I did mixed fajitas(well done onions and peppers) and my husband got the casa maya burrito with chicken. The chips and salsa came quickly and were the best part of the meal to be honest. Salsa had flavor and chips were fresh My fajitas were delivered first (before the app even) but nothing with it. The onions and peppers were barely cooked and I informed the waitress it was incorrect and she seemed to have an attitude to take it back. I asked about the street corn app and she said "we only have one cook tonight and he is backed up on orders" and then ran off rolling her eyes. Shortly after she went to the front stand and we could see her and the hostess looking at our table as to be talking about us. It was very uncomfortable and I wish I had left then. Took some time for the waitress to check in and offer refills on drinks. My husband ordered a drink (spicy grilled pineapple margarita) which was delivered incorrectly and after the meal The drink came incorrectly and when we asked if it was correct (it didn't even have pineapple on it ) she said yeah it's right and walked away. My husband's burrito was plain as plain could be. It had no sauce, basically just boiled chicken with no seasoning rolled into a tortilla topped with some melted cheese. Rice and beans had no flavor either. Finally the assistant manager gabby came over and was as apologetic as could be. She tried to swap out the burrito for my husband but he was already over it and ate what he could. She tried to offer dessert but we were already frustrated at this point and wanted to leave. She comped the bill completely and asked us to please come back and give them another try and to ask for her specifically. All restaurants have a rough night and unfortunately our first experience was that night.

Yelp
This was a great find while vacationing in Deerfield Beach. The restaurant set the stage for the meal with its simple Mayan decorations. Service was spot-on. And the food was excellent! We finished a full basket of their crispy chips with fresh salsa. I can definitely recommend the Panuchos appetizer and the succulent Carne Tampquena as a main with incredible grilled flavor in the steak. Our margaritas were also delicious and moderately strong. This would be a regular spot for us if we were local.

Lucy O.

Yelp
This place has a very friendly and welcoming environment, perfect for time out with friends and family. The food is good and the drinks even better! The service was quick and friendly, can't wait to come back again.

Yelp
Used to be great before they moved. Went back a few times and the only downfall is the service. Some of the staff are not trained and just shouldn't be in the industry. Food is good though.

Mindy W.

Yelp
Always great food !!! Excellent taste and awesome servers and know how to make sure you get Everything right!!! Emilio is one of the nicest people to know and a new environment! Beautiful and relaxing !!!!!
