I ate a typical Poc chu dish at this place. It was really excellent and the spice was very well seasoned on the dish. Only the lady who served me was not very friendly and it seemed like she did not like working here.

Some foods are great, while others are not. It’s really more like a gamble. I tried their pollo empanizado, which was good. They also have an American item, a cheeseburger. Let me tell you, that was the most unpleasant and expensive item I’ve ever had. I paid $18 for this and fries. I understand that this is a Latin restaurant, but if we’re talking about food, anything in any restaurant should be considered fine cuisine. However, this cheeseburger was horrible. Service is good, but that’s about it.

Good! We enjoyed a vegetarian burrito and a carne asada quesadilla. Really like how they toasted the tortillas. The lady was friendly for us ! Thanks!

0 STARS IF I COULD. I got off work late 12/28 and decided to pick up a burrito to bring home. Not only was the service terrible and the woman was rude, but she seemed to be servicing everyone before taking my order. We waited roughly 25 minutes. 25 minutes. For a regular burrito. I get my food and I head home. I got through like half of it and just had this feeling that I shouldn’t eat it so I wrapped it and put it in the fridge. I woke up the next day with CRAZY food poisoning and low and behold IT WAS THE BURRITO. DO NOT eat here. The restaurant itself was pretty run down too. Everything pretty dated. Something told me not to eat here but it was like the only thing open.

ATTENTION VEGETARIANS! This is the best-open faced taco value and taste! It’s a Panucho Vegetariano and only costs $2.50. The bottom “shell” is filled with black beans. Toppings include lettuce, cheese and tomato but also avocado and pickled onions. Drizzle it in lime! My only concern was difficulty in knowing how to eat it!

Sometimes it's pretty good. Last time I went my chicken taco was full of large hard pieces of cartilage. The kitchen here needs to try harder in this neighborhood of great taquerias.

Google
A hidden gem of a restaurant. The food is fabulous but the area is still TL. So that its food remains unexplored by many.

I'm from Mexico and I'd never heard of some of dishes. They were delicious!! The tortillas are made by hand and once again the texture and flavor of them were AMAZING. We brought a pack home to eat later.

Yelp
Panuchos are better than tacos. The double tortilla you find in most tacos is fried, attached on one side, and stuffed with beans. Top them with your favorite taco meat and boom. An improvement on what you thought couldn't be improved on. $5 after tax for one panucho (cash only under $10) and the lady wasn't particularly nice, hence the -star.

Yelp
We were in SF and wanted to have some authentic Mexican food. I found this taqueria that wasn't far from where we were on Market Street. I ordered the carnitas super burrito and my friend ordered a couple of empandas. After a while they brought my burrito out on a plate and rapped in a lot of aluminum foil. As I was unwrapping layers of foil I was thinking that it didn't feel hot, or even a slight bit warm. I bit into the burrito and the meat was cold. It seems like they had pre-made meat but didn't bother to heat meat before making my burrito. I totally understand pre-made meats but to forgetting to heat it seems like they just didn't care. My friend's empandas were fried and piping hot. The server was friendly and the place was decently clean but I can not recommend their food because my food was completely uneatable.

Yelp
It may be in a sketchy part of tenderloin but this place is worth it. I had my son escort me there to ease by fears, but no one even looked at us. I had the whole grilled fish and it was fantastic. It comes with a bowl of (runny) refried beans (more like a soup?), a cabbage salad and rice Everything was amazing. The people working here are sweet. We also had the flan and enjoyed it very much.

Yelp
Yucatan style food so not your typical taqueria. Think cochinita pibil and poc chuc. I got a poc chuc torta and it was excellent. Good bread, pork with a bit of tooth, tasty beans, really just a nice mix of textures. They've got a ton of soups I'd like to try as well, but those would be more of a sit down lunch and I had to take my food back to my desk. My friend got the panuchos which were a sort of fried double decker taco with beans in between the layers of fried tortilla. He let me try a bite and I thought it was very solid.

Yelp
The Panuchos oh my god. Delicious. They're reasonably priced too. Always a good place to go

Yelp
I'm shocked that this place only has 13 reviews. I recently moved to the neighborhood and stumbled upon this restaurant while searching for a late night bite on the way home from a concert. I ordered two panuchos with different types of meat. They used quality ingredients and each one had its own unique and distinctive flavors. My partner ordered the carnitas platillo which came with fresh tortillas and a delicious side of beans. Everything was tasty and affordable. I'm looking forward to trying other things on the menu; especially their soups!

Yelp
This Restaurant is super good! The staff is very nice! I order from here at least twice a week. I highly recommend Casa Mayan! Maya food is really good and if you are looking for you're favorite dish they have it here (;

Yelp
Incredible. Had the Poc-Chuc. Basically your own taco bar. Yes, it's in the tenderloin. But the price is right for how delicious it is and how much you get. (And the seats are big and sturdy.)

Yelp
been in the service industry for 16 years, I despise yelp... I decided to do the right thing and rave about how delicious my food was tonight. I had the chicken panuchos.. Absolutely delicious, high quality with all the fresh toppings and wonderful salsa. The staff was great and I'm coming back asap. Excited to try more of the menu.

Yelp
Love the food here. In and out services. Go here 2-3 times a week. Great lengua tocas.

Yelp
Shittiest place ever literally. First of all it's hidden in the middle of a building. Second, I ordered something from the menu they didn't bring it in the span of half an hour then come out telling me there's no more of that (a bit too late don't you think). Also, it's dirty af and when u come in it smells like public restroom. They don't clean their tables, they just pick up plates. They ran out of agua de melon at 1:20 pm like a wtf. They run out of shit and they don't even have like a LOT of clients. Also, the server gave us some attitude. They also don't wash the dishes that well.

Yelp
I chose a bunch of different dishes to try because it's not often I find a restaurant with Central American dishes. It was really good. Reminded me of the dishes I grew up eating and taste almost the exact same! Yummm!

Yelp
Im going to be 100% with this. I Didn't even get a chance to try this highest-rated, and dually recommended establishment. Taquerias in the TL, can either be a hit..or a MaJoR miss, depending on ownership. For every ten holes in the wall, there are a few that are truly traditional, and will give you a one-two punch to the tongue, that will have you coming back, a few times a week, as a loyal customer. The lady behind the counter was friendly, and the order was a common, Carnitas Super Burrito($12) All should had gone as normal, right? Guess not. I had a $10 bill in my wallet, and asked if I could pay for the remaining $2 on card. She replies, "Sorry...we cannot do that". I've never heard of an establishment that could not split a bill in half, one way or another. No matter what was ordered.( I know from decades of waitstaff experience, along with having to separate ginormous orders of food and drinks). Okay, it's her call, and I'm not going to debate it, and potentially disrespect the people who are preparing something that I will soon eat. Its located on the main artery of the TL, nearing rush-hours, and NO way am I running the "pressed pill gauntlet" to the other side of Leavenworth. Just so I can use the ATM at the StopN'Rob, and be charged more in-fees than the original amount needed in the first place. It's just not logical. Now, looking back on it...Why would something so common, be such a hassle for the cashier? Its had to have happened at least once before, right? After taking time to read some 5 star reviews of this establishment, and REALLY craving some good carnitas action, I admit I'm kinda confused. Should I take the way she just didn't want to split the bill by 2 bucks to face, and not come back? Or should I just go again with just cash, to see if it is a hit-or-miss.?
