I only wish I had come to dine here before, but I guess it is never too late to find and enjoy these great Italian restaurants hidden in a neighborhood.
I went on a Monday night to avoid any wait and too many people. We decided to sit inside, due that there were only a couple of tables occupied. Happy we decided that!
When you walk in, it is an authentic family-owned Italian restaurant. The decoration is very old fashion, but lovely, true to their culture and style. The layout included wood tables and chairs, white long table cloths, white curtains in half of the windows, and lights on top of each table. They know what they are doing; they did not start yesterday.
As soon as you sit down, you get a basket of warm bread and butter. Just perfect. You can order your drink while going thru the menu. We ordered fried mozzarella as an appetizer, and I had the special plate of that night - sautee pasta with chorizo and some vegetables. My husband ordered the lasagna. Let me tell you - it is to die for. It was outstanding. The portions are more than you would expect, and you can take home what is left. I did. And the next day was even better! We had our dinner with some wine, which, even though it was by the glass, was filled more than half.
We did not order dessert. We were so full! The service was excellent, on point, and very friendly.
We will go back for sure. We want to try every option on the menu.
