We visited Cordoba and a friend made a reservation here. Honestly, nothing special. There are plenty of places that offer the same type of dishes in the area for a fraction of the price.
The waiter offered bread as he handed us the menus, me being used to this agreed, unbeknownst to me this came with a tag of 3eur per person, for bread. The waiter then put a small amount of olive oil in our plates with no chance to get more for our expensive bread service.
We had the oxtail as it is supposed to be the specialty. It was cooked properly but that’s it, nothing memorable. We went for the full portion since the half portion was 23eur and the full one at 30. It felt very little anyways.
We also had the Rice broth (arroz meloso) with jamon and artichoke, this one was the best dish. I honestly would have sticked to this one only.
We had a portion of croquettes, again very average, seemed like typical bar snack. Forgettable.
We were never offered a drinks menu, the waiter forgot that we asked for water, there seemed to be no options for non alcoholic drinks. The tinto de verano was from a premade bottle? Like c’mon cheaper places make their own.
At the end I learn this place has a michelin guide mention. I don’t know why honestly. It makes me wonder if michelin critics were drunk when they visited the place.
