"This restaurant is located in the heart of the city’s Jewish quarter. It has an interior that comes as a pleasant surprise, replete with a typical Andalucian patio, pleasant dining rooms and a charming rooftop terrace. Southern Spanish cuisine with a modern touch." - Michelin Inspector

I can certainly recommend the sweetbreads, and my friend really relished his oxtail stew. The desserts were very much to our liking as well. Good selection of wines.

Google
So grateful to the lovely receptionist who kindly swapped my reservation to tonight. The food was amazing on the whole. Absolutely wonderful to try local dishes on Christmas Day in Cordoba. The tuna tartare and the venison were outstanding. The local wine was recommended and it was fantastic. Should order a crate for home🍷 Will return

This place can not be missed. The server was patient and attentive. The food was outstanding with every bite. My wife ordered the sea bass, it was light, flavorful and well presented. I ordered the oxtail stew, my mind was blown away by how tender, fall off the bone the meat was. A comfort food that filled my and soul. Simply delicious

We had tapas here on afternoon during a short break in Córdoba. We had delicious food, amazing service and fantastic wine! The young lady behind the bar was so friendly and explained a lot about the food and wine we had. A charming young waiter called Juan was also very friendly and made our afternoon even more pleasant.

I am from Singapore and I came to the restaurant in a group of 4 and we were seated at the rooftop. We were greeted by Mr Jose Daniel who was extremely polite and welcoming from the start to the end. At the rooftop, the sun was facing directly at us and Mr Jose was attentive to notice that and he closed the movable shelter that was so nice of him. 5 stars to his service!

Very cozy tapas bar (there are both a restaurant and a tapas bar) with traditional Spanish food. Local-made “bellota” is of course worth trying.

Google
Great food and friendly staff. In peak hours it is always full and they work really a lot. The location is nice, pity that the terrace was closed 🤷🏻‍♂️ I can only suggest this restaurant. It might be a bit pricey compared to others, but when on holidays: why not?! 💯

Google
Very spectacular central restaurant with exquisite service and qualitative some list. Large and consistente distes. Best tables are in the patio: Salmorejo and mazamorra are typical. Deer was delicious and solomillo with foie was greatly cooked and tasty

Yelp
Our dinner was good, but there is a sense that they are coasting on their reputation. Sherry - 2 glasses Pan y picos. Good crust. Grassy local olive oil. Cheese plate Forlong Tintilla, €35. Tasty, but way too cold. Pluma Iberico Bellota - very good Gramona vi glas Gewerztraminer. perfect pairing with dessert Apple tart - apple, pastry, ice cream, custard + tableware - Churchill made inEngland + music - soft instrumental + Service - professional + flatware - Sambonet, hedty + cloth napkins (mostly polyester) + table cloth - red wine temperature. It was ice cold. - butter in packets €106.80 for dinner for 2

Yelp
OMG if you're here you MUST go. Food was unbelievable, such dedication to their craft!

Yelp
Bright and clean. Excellent service. The food is freshly prepared. The beer has a good balance. The eggplant fritters are drizzled with honey. The Oxtail falls off the bone. The venison is tender. For dessert, we had the French toast, which is like bread pudding. The Cordoba wine is very sweet and good for dessert.

Yelp
I ate here during a recent trip to Spain on a day trip to Cordoba. OH MY GOD was it good. We stopped in for lunch after exploring some of the city. The restaurant is a little fancier and prices are a bit more expensive, but well worth it. I didn't realize it was a Michelin restaurant until reading some other reviews on this page. We ordered a bottle of wine, jamon, and some other appetizers to share. For my main dish I got the grilled duck breast with mango chutney and a beet sauce. It was delicious and paired really nicely together. I can't remember what the others in my group got but they really enjoyed it as well. This was some of the best food we had on the trip.

Yelp
4.5 stars! Beautiful restaurant in the heart of the Jewish quarter. For lunch we ordered the jamon starter, artichoke, fried eggplant (that honey glaze...wowza) and the croquettes (half portion was very generous). Everything was delicious including the bread. Great service as well, plus they have an English menu. We only spent the day in Cordoba so can't compare to other places in town, but I don't think you can go wrong here.

Yelp
Quite good, we came for appetizers & drinks. The ambiance was good, the appetizers were tasty & the service was great. You'd expect a Michelin rated restaurant (In 2020) to be fantastic & I'd say it's worth a visit. Nothing blew me away per say but it was all very good. We sat on the rooftop & it's really nice up there. The croquettes was our favorite appetizer. It's definitely a good place to try traditional tapas- no complaints! Happy eating.

Yelp
I'm semi hopeful when it comes to michelin rated restaurants because more often than not, I find them overly expensive for what it is. This place was no exception, don't get me wrong, the food was good. But was it blow my mind away omg I need to come back here good? Not quite. But if you do happen to come here, our favorite dish was the Leek + Sardines. They also make a pretty good sangria. The clam special and cod dishes were a tad too salty. Pro tip: Beat the spanish dinner rush if you want to get in with no reservations aka anytime before 9pm!

Yelp
We chanced upon a Michelin 2024 restaurant in the alleys of the Jewish quarter. The food was very tasty. The service was very good. Ambience was fine as well. One thing that we were puzzled about was that they brought us a basket of bread with 4 slices that we did not order. We thought this was a part of the service but later found that they charged us Euro 8.80 for a table of 4 for this. They also tacked on 10% service charge automatically.

Yelp
Only went to sit in the patio. the manager said it's too hot for outside and put me in a small room. Me and another solo traveling asian guy was the only 2 asians In the room. I saw dozens of guests getting seats in the patio I requested and when I said why I wasn't able to sit there, the middle aged male manager completely shut down what i said. my server was very nice but because of the manager who directs the guests to their seats being racially discriminating and segregating I cannot give 5 stars. don't go if you're Asian. they'll deny you terrace seat with the views with the lies saying its too hot when it's only 19 degree celcius. I work for the embassy and have shared this with all the asian embassies in our internal news letter.

Yelp
I went to this restaurant years ago and had very fond memories of delicious food and outstanding service. While the service is good albeit a bit stale I'm sorry to report that the food has gone down hill. We ordered the Oxtail and the potato pure was like thin chicken soup and the oxtail was gelatinous and bland. I guess all good things change.

Yelp
Made reservations. They took us in a little early. The place was elegant and the service commensurate. The food was very good. It was nice and quiet and lovely. Great for families and romantic dinners

Christina N.

Yelp
The servers and staff are friendly, efficient and patient. The tapas are extremely small servings compared to other places we've eaten tapas. One tiny anchovy??!! what is that about???

Yelp
A tourism favorite, but the kitchen and the staff know their stuff cold, so no disappointments. Lots of happy faces around the table. More expensive than average, but don't let that stop you from ordering the millefeuille Napolean for dessert.

Yelp
We had a fantastic lunch at this restaurant. The food and service were outstanding. We tried several dishes and even repeated one of them because we enjoyed it so much. Among the highlights were the deep fried eggplant with honey and the rice with gambas, this latter one was absolutely delicious and we had to have more of it! For dessert we tried a tapas portion of three different desserts with the favorites being the milhojas (a thousand layers) and the cheese tart.

Yelp
Great meal at Casa Pepe! We really enjoyed comparing the gazpacho and salmorejo, both were delicious! Also enjoyed the beef and pork steaks as well as shared croquetas. Superb service with so many smiles. Loved it!

Yelp
We heard so many good things about this restaurant so we made a reservation for 2 at the rooftop. We sat at the rooftop which overlooked the gorgeous view of Mesquita Catedral de Cordoba bell tower. The view was absolutely amazing. There's no doubt this restaurant has gorgeous romantic atmosphere. But, the reason we're giving this restaurant a 3 star because the food is totally overrated. My husband and I were very disappointed. We're not even sure how this restaurant manage to get a Michelin star. We ordered the flamenquin Cordobes and that was a big disappointment. Since it's a Michelin star restaurant, we thought the food will come out fresh and hot. Instead, it was room temperature and too crispy. This dish already pre-made and been sitting in room temperature for a long time. We also ordered roasted tomato with burrata cheese. The cherry tomatoes are not roasted and the cheese were cold. When we cut into it, it doesn't ooze out like expected. Normally, there's usually some sort of balsamic vinaigrette sauce or something to balance out the flavor. This dish was absolutely flavorless. Maybe Cordobas serve differently than most places? It was not good and tasteless. For the main course, my hubby ordered the steak, that was cooked perfectly but there's no sauce to balance the flavor. I ordered tuna tartar. My tuna was pretty good so that's an extra star. Overall, I do not recommend this restaurant to anyone. The food is not fresh and this place is too overrated.

Yelp
The food was excellent, as was the service. What is even nicer is the location, but book a rooftop table because that is the gem that makes it special. This place was recommended to us by a local from Cordoba living in Barcelona, and we were very pleased with his suggestion. The atmosphere on the rooftop is romantic, especially if you are there as the sun is setting. Just perfect.

Yelp
This restaurant was highly recommended by the hotel. It was the worst restaurant on our entire trip to Spain. My son asked for a medium well steak and it was so bloody it was practically alive. We had the bacalao and the fish was not cooked well. The server had a serious attitudinal problem. I don't know how this place has become so popular because it basically sucks.
google avatar

Yelp
Delicious food and beautiful interior. We loved every item we got - every fish and veg option on their menu. Highly recommend for lunch or dinner. They don't open until 1pm*

Yelp
My hotel recommended Pepe for a traditional culinary experience in Cordoba. Overall I really enjoyed the experience but just wasn't blown away by the food. In my opinion, most of the dishes I tried were slightly bland and needed more seasoning. Another thing that also made this experience unusual was the fact that practically all of the customers in the restaurant were tourists. Everyone around me was speaking English. Obviously that's not the restaurant's fault but just something to know before you eat here. I always enjoy finding local spots that are full of locals. I wish I had more time in Cordoba to try other restaurants to compare but I don't...maybe next time. This town is truly amazing.

Yelp
Quite superb. Long sherry list. Long bargain wine list. Authentic Córdoba food perfectly prepared. Terrific charming staff. Wide variety of good. Allergies sensitive. Fish good. Pork good. They have it all. Bargain wine list most bottle 20-35 usd. Friendly. A must. O POP

Yelp
If you are in Cordoba, whether for a day trip or a longer stay, try to fit a visit to Casa Pepe de la Juderia in your schedule. Not only the food is really, really (yes, that's two reallies) good, but also the people running it are amazing. Everything we tried was delicious. From patatas and other usual suspects, to tomato salad, fried fish (so fresh), grilled tuna, and iberian pork steaks (You can taste the acorn they have fed to them) - And remember, your meal won't be complete without trying some of their desserts.

Yelp
Love this place so much. One of the best dinners I had in Andalusia. We had Eggplant (Berenjena), Jamon Croquette, Deep Fried Cod/Bacalao and Oxtail Stew. Everything was very delicious. The service was flawless. Our server, Hugo, was very attentive and gave us great recommendations on food choices. The best part is, he introduced me to a dessert wine that I would never imagine to be fallen in love with. I don't drink wine because I don't like the taste, but this dessert wine does change my judgment. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who visits Cordoba. Pro: Food, Service, Price Con: None

david k.

Yelp
Had lunch for two recently. The food is very good. Had the gazpacho: superb. The Cordoban cold soup: disappointing since it was over salted Aubergine croquettas with honey: yes loved them Pork shoulder: very very good The bread was yes disappointing The wine was ok (just had a few of the reds by the glass tho) The waiter did not speak any English which is ok since ordering off a menu is not rocket science. But there were other waiters who were comfortable in English and he could have got one of those for us. Or paid closer attention. If you get past the waiters you will have a good experience. This should not be a foreign concept ina good restaurant that is obviously trying its best in other respects

Yelp
Nice place, can't beat the location. Once you leave the Mezquita near the old wall there is a sign for this restaurant which gives them quite an edge on the competition. I ate dinner here at night with the required reservation on the roof top with the "can't be beat" view of the bell tower. Why three stars? Because food is a bit bland in my opinion, starting with my fish soup which was expensive and only had three scallops in it and maybe three spoons of broth. I thought I was being joked on. Almost every good restaurant in Spain had great bread except for this place. Bread was "feed to pigeons" quality. Sorry I'm being so harsh, but if you read my other reviews, I'm actually very easy to please. It's the combination of higher price with bland taste that gets me riled up. Finished with rice pudding which was good but once again nothing special. Rooftop dining view great, food not so much. If you want a better culinary experience, hit Rincon de Carmen further up Calle Romero a bit.

Yelp
We went there tonight base of good reviews on yelp. It was a big disappointment . We order the slow cooked pork shoulder. It was blunt and flavorless . If you like warm salad with over easy egg order their seasonal veggie salad . It comes cooked and hot. The tomato soup wasn't my type of food at all.

Yelp
Very nice place and people. Try the eggplant with honey, my favourite tapa fro Cordoba.

Yelp
Inside there is a tiny bar, two small simple well-heated rooms for seated tapas, and other elegant rooms for the full restaurant menu. Waiters appropriately tease those who don't try a little Spanish. Friendly and patient with me (flagrantly and apologetically butchering Spanish). We tried the lechon - slow roast pork with softer-than-crackling that some don't like but we did. Also, the bacalao (cod) here is quite good. Croquettes were yummy but we have nothing to compare then to having not previously had any in Spain. Pork with curry and mustard was outstanding. All hot dishes were hot. Not lukewarm as in some other nearby bodegas/restaurants. We ate early-for-Spain at 8:30 and the whole place was full by 9:30. All this, four drinks, and some patatates bravas for under €40. Yum!

Yelp
Food and business was great! Not too many amazing vegetarian options, which is why I give it a 3 star over a 4, but for people who eat fish and meat the menu has fantastic choices. My favorite part of my meal was the dessert, I ordered something very chocolatey and with ice cream and it was delicious. I recommend stopping by here if you're visiting Cordoba or the Mezquita (since it's very close to it).

Denise N.

Yelp
We came in without any expectations or hope to find many gluten free dishes. I thought I was going to end up eating my usual jamón and tortilla tapas, but to my surprise they had a great selection of celiac friendly dishes. They even had GF picos (tiny crispy breadsticks) and warm GF free breads that was crispy on the outside and soft and gooey on the inside. We ordered the grilled octopus with celery root purée, oxtail, manchego cheese, presa ibérica ( grilled pork), jamón and lamb sweetbreads that were breaded in garbanzo flour and deep fried. For desert we ordered something called chocolate chocolate chocolate. It was like a very creamy and fluffy chocolate pudding with a very soft large chocolate truffle in the middle, some large white chocolate shavings and sprinkled with some some sort of chocolate cookie crumbs (omit the crumbs for a Gluten free version) Everything was delicious, service was great, the place is pretty big so there was no wait to get a table. Prices were fair

Yelp
Great rooftop restaurant with nice views of the cathedral. Great staff and fabulous food. Would definitely return.

Yelp
Oh!!!! Food bliss!! Try the artichokes with eggs, the apple salmorejo, and the cochinillo asado. They are worth the calories!
google avatar

Samantha K.

Yelp
I love this place! I didn't go to the restaurant, only to the bar for a few wines and a tapa. The staff is very knowledgeable in wine and the local sherry, and the jamón iberico is the best I have had in Spain. Highly recommended!

Yelp
Since we usually eat at 7 and were trying to wait to eat until 10 we were happy to find Pepe's. On entering we were asked if we wanted Tapas or a main meal. We said tapas and were taken to a table in a small room. It was nice, but I cannot comment on the other parts of the restaurant.other reviews here are more helpful about that. The tapas menu seemed limited, but this was my first tapas restaurant, so maybe they all are. We had the bread dip called Salmoreja, eggplants with honey, croquettes and flamenquines. It was plenty of food and all good. I think my favorite was the eggplant.
google avatar

Nima T.

Yelp
Ok. So here is the deal. You have to get the suckling pig ribs. Amazing and the local specialty. I had a salad with local cheeses and quince dressing. I must say I out ordered my wife who ordered ribeye 600grams which was enough for three people. She started with the chilled Tomato soup. Dessert wasn't that great. Pass on the chocolAte cake. The local Cordoba dessert was really good.

Chryssandra B.

Yelp
We arrived with extremely high expectations because we had heard this was one of the best restaurants in cordoba. The place is very beautiful and appears more upscale then some of the other places- white tablecloths etc, but the "outdoor seating area" is a courtyard that is covered and still feels very much inside. Service was excellent and prompt and the bread basket was huge! But because we had such high expectations, we were a little disappointed by the food- yes it was good but it was not the best food in cordoba- especially not at that price. Their tapas menu was a little limited and the food was pretty run of the mill. We ordered the eggplant in sweet syrup/honey sauce, salmoreja, and the artichokes with blood sausage (the best thing we tried!!) I would recommend it, but adjust your expectations- and get the artichokes!

Chris M.

Yelp
In Cordoba for four nights and ate here twice. Outstanding food, ambience & service. We've been in Cordoba, Marbella, Ronda, & Malaga on this trip and sampled the aubergines (eggplant with honey) in all of these places. Cafe Pepe has the best! Everything we ate - four people so 8 different meals - was fantastic! When you make your reservation, request the rooftop terrace for the very best experience.
