Moved into studios at 2800(casa manages this establishment) ...2 weeks in I discover my room has BED BUGS. I tell staff amd their response is that I brought the bed bugs and that hes throwing me out the next day. Mind you, I was staying with a friend in a 2500 a month 5 bedroom home in the suburbs off fox road before I came here and my friend doesn't have bed bugs ...so I definitely didn't bring them. Come to find out the senior citizen in room 219 (room next door) that has a pacemaker and lives there paying his entire disability check...his room is absolutely infested. Bed was stained...they were EVERYWHERE....so they came over from next door. Raeford knew this because the day after I told him we had bugs...he went up and threatened this poor old man and told him not to say or sign anything or he'd have nowhere to go to! He called the police and tried to have us thrown out but I had to get my ducks in a row and get somewhere else to go so we asked for the police officers supervisor and the supervisor told him that we were tenants and had to be evicted (the the police supervisor to call their lawyer, the lawyer told them this)...so if you find yourself living in this dump...just know after 7 consecutive nights.. .he can't throw you out. He has to serve you with eviction papers. Anyways I had to rent a storage unit, buy a $25,000 camper and put it on a $650 a month lot at Christmas time. Then found out a week after moving into a camper that I'm pregnant. This place ruined my kids christmas, depleted my savings, and wouldn't even hire a professional to treat my belongings. I was only there for 2 or 3 weeks. So come to this establishment ran by casa at your own risk. 221 and 219 are infested. Roaches everywhere too. CASA runs it and Enoch holloway...their rep...also tried to throw me out. Fighting homelessness??..more like CREATING HOMELESSNESS.. but didn't even know the laws and that they had to evict me first. They tried to throw me out as soon as i reported the infestation, with nowhere to go and not even give me time to find a place. Mind you, I had a uhaul truck full of belongings, furniture and everything. They almost caused me to lose everything. City of raleigh owns this place. Casa runs it. But they won't address an infestation and pregnant women being thrown out bc of their disgusting establishment. So this was my experience with property being managed by CASA and I wasn't even homeless, until they threw me out with bed bugs infesting my belongings and refused to even treat my things, after staff threatened and scared the man next door who's room was absolutely infested, into not speaking to for himself or talking to the news for me. Corruption at its finest.

We've worked with many folks at CASA over the years and align with their values and mission. They are genuine, driven, and approachable. Our team looks forward to the work we do together and are glad we get to call them clients and friends. The solution to homelessness is housing.

This is THE WORSE organization ever! Do not trust or believe that they have your best interest.... They only care about certain tenants, and will kick you out based on what is told to them instead of researching the facts. Their housing specialist is unprofessional, and messy, and she has told a lot of the tenants business.... While the other staff view issues as jokes, sit , laugh, and talk about the issues instead of helping the issues to get resolved. This place is for people with disabilities, the entire staff do not care about what is going on with you, they will do the minimum to assist any issue at hand.... Why it is best to get a attorney if any issue arise ....they work off of here say, pick and choose who they want to assist.

Annie. The front desk clerk is utterly rude and inconsiderate. I sent out an email for a 30 days notice of move . No one got back to me. When I called I was told an email was never received. I am now moving into a new apartment and trying to get my apartment verified and it was a nightmare. If there’s a problem with your emails . Fix it . Annie supposedly didn’t receive the numerous emails that was sent . When I asked her to send an email to my new apartment she said “ I see you’re going to keep calling ! What is the email address then ! “. Yes why wouldn’t I keep calling if I need a new apartment to live in . She’s not a pleasant person at all to talk to on the phone . Might want to consider brushing up on your customer service skills . If you don’t like your job that’s your concern .

I'm just hoping and Praying that a place for me and my son come through soon , I did a application 3 to 4 years ago and I know it's gonna take a long time which I'm gonna be patient. I'm in a women and children program I started here September 24 2020 and this past June on the 24 made my 9 month mark since it's only a 9 month program. We are still here but no good hope here. Casa is the only friendly place I called that understood me and I just hope I get a spot here!

Ha! No wonder you only have 3.5 stars. Teach your technicians to drive. They probably should take up two lanes and then laugh at people trying to pass them. Rude and unprofessional, especially when representing your trash company. I hope you go out of business

My bldg does not pass Section 8 INSPECTIONS. It is a very old building with many problems and the outside needs attention as well. We need a descent and safe window that actually OPENS in living room. Some residents complain about bedbugs and roaches.
