Casa Sanchez Restaurant

Really nice folks here, pretty decent Mexican American food. The chips and salsa must be changed (please 🙏🏽). Two entrees, one drink, one side = $34 which feels fair. I would go back. When I was there, there was a really obnoxious table and we didn’t get peace until they left. Not their fault but also, other paying customers shouldn’t suffer because of a rowdy table ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Honestly idk how you guys have gotten all those reviews unless they r fake. My husband and I came here for Father’s Day based off these reviews and honestly we were both very very disappointed. First off. Our server looked angry from the start bringing out our water. Then she had us waiting 15 min after we told here we just need a couple more minutes because it was our first time there. Then we had to flag someone else down just to get them to call her to come back to take our order. Then I asked for the carne asada burrito and no beans then I asked what all comes inside and she said just beans and meat. And I said ok so if I get the burrito without beans it’s just meat and tortilla?? Made no sense why u guys would a plate that cost more just to have the rice on the side. So she said well tell me what u want inside and we will put it inside, do u want everything on the plate inside? I said ok yeah sure. And add cheese. I’m pregnant and starving by this point and they finally bring our food out. The salasa wasn’t that good on my husbands chilaquiles, also the asada was either rotten or close to it but I felt extremely uncomfortable eating the quarter of the burrito that we got. So more then half went to waist and my husband was also so disappointed with the service and food to top it off he is a first time father now here soon in two months and I wanted this meal to be decent and we left very unhappy. Our server is lucky he is nice cause I honestly told him not to tip her anything for her attitude and then I changed my mind as well and we left her $5. So a total of $50 for nasty food that was probably bad and risked me or my baby was hi is unborn getting sick. Waist of our time and money and we will not be coming back here ever. Excited for Taco Los Cholos to open because at least we will have good food there every time and we are not getting rotten meat

The food was delicious as always. Friendly employees. Ordered to go this time. I had the chile Colorado burrito(wet). The meat was so tender and just enough sauce on the outside of the burrito, so it was not soggy. My Dad had the cheese enchilada plate. He enjoyed it. Came with beans, rice, 2 enchiladas, and either soup or salad. Plus, we got chips and salsa.

Went here to celebrate my friend's birthday. The food was absolutely delicious, but the best part was probably the Michelada!!! The staff was very attentive and kind. The music gave total nostalgic Mexican vibes.

I went to have lunch with my sister. The food is pretty good, and the prices were ok.. But now the price to eat at Casa Sanchez has soared! A salad is almost$20. 00!! The people working here now are not very nice. The waitresses have not smiled even once. They were a little rude. Not a comfortable place to have lunch. If you have kids, I don't recommend they come. It's too expensive at this restaurant.

This review is long overdue. I've been coming to Casa Sanchez for years and the food is always delicious and drinks are great. Hands down best menu menudo and pozole in the area. I come here with friends, alone, or just to drink and work. Staff is excellent and always attentive. I tried the bigger place next door but food here is far better in respect to authenticity and flavor.

The food is really good and not expensive. The salsa has a lot of flavor as does the food. Service can be slow but the food is so worth it, they get a pass for this. Been going here for years and it is still amazing

This place is a solid three stars. Food here is what you would expect similar to an El Torito. service is quick and friendly ambience is nothing to write home about although they do have a bar area with lots of choices this place has the blandest salsa and worst chips on earth probably wouldn't drive far to go here little expensive for what you get...

Favorite local Mexican restaurant. Fajita quesadilla is outstanding. Free chips and salsa and inexpensive margaritas for the win. Usually pretty busy place. Great staff, very friendly. Classic Mexican restaurant vibe.

I came with a big group and the food came out fast. The servers were patient with us and the inside was very clean and comfortable. The music was great. All that being said, the food lacked depth of flavor. I got the Chile Colorado and it was more reminiscent of a tomato sauce than a chile base sauce. The rice was well cooked but not flavorful. I truly believe if the plate was spicier it would be so much better. I think this is a fair rating because of the great service but I won't be coming back.

Really good food and service at very reasonable prices. Service here is spot on. We were greeted by the hostess and manager upon arrival. Our server was attentive. Food was delicious and hot. The prices are extremely reasonable.

We met friends here yesterday. Our first time, but definitely not the last. We were able to seat ourselves and chips, salsa and beverages were served quickly and with a smile! Everyone together, we ordered and none of us were disappointed in our choices. The ceviche, aguachilies, came in a half shell bowl and was well presented in it and the flavor was excellent. Menudo with or without pata was a choice. We chose no. Chile rellano burrito was perfect. A combination plate was also selected and just perfect. The salsa had a great flavor too. We were there for 3 hours and it was a perfect setting to catch up with Framily. Sad note......the only other location is in Prescott Valley, Arizona. Maybe we'll make it there too. My caldo was ok BUT the waitress didn't nor come and ask if we needed anything. Both of the could not smile And never brought our bill We had to go to cashier and ask for it. Probably not going back.

We went there tonight and the place was crowded but the food was still delicious as we always found it to be on all previous visits. We had our wedding anniversary at this restaurant and no complaints were heard from the medium size group that attended. We have even used this place for some larger size food orders to share with family get togethers at home.

This has been my favorite Mexican restaurant for nearly 30 years. In fact, it was my favorite restaurant of any cuisine hands down for many, many years. It's not exactly the same as in the past but still the best in the area in my opinion. Dining in seems to taste better than to go, so be sure to eat there if you can. It's always nice to see the same friendly, staff that has been there for decades - speaks to the ownership. Now onto the food! The BEST salsa ever. I compare every other restaurants' salsa to theirs and nobody comes close. I can eat it by itself. It's not spicy and has a ton of flavor. By the time the meal comes (which is always so fast) I'm usually full on chips and salsa. You have to get the soup, too. Their tortilla is great. I don't eat meat, but my mom always orders the meatball and loves it. She'll order a big batch for pick up when she's sick and it makes her feel better. As for the main dishes, there are a lot of options and all are delicious. You can get a meal for under $20 and portions are so big it's at least two servings. Check out the pic of my burrito. The length is almost as long as a knife and the width is about half of that! You can't go wrong with whatever you choose. Tonight we also got margaritas. $11 and huge. They used to only have wine margaritas but now they're tequila. If you're in the Ontario/Chino area, def check out this mom and pop restaurant for authentic, quality food!

My family has been coming to this restaurant for over 2 decades, and the food and atmosphere never disappoint. My grandfather was a weekly guest at their establishment, creating friendships and bonds with as many members of the staff as he could. When he passed, this restaurant became a place of remembrance of him. I moved out of state a few years back but my first stop back home was here. The salsa is amazing, and the staff are very friendly. This place deserves the recognition, and I can't stop saying good things about Casa Sanchez.

Good food, portions are very large, good service. Family went there for a birthday party and all enjoyed it.

My wife and I had a very nice lunch at Casa Sanchez. We were greeted and seated as soon as we arrived. Our drink order and complementary chips and salsa came quickly. It did take a while for us to be able to place our meal order. We waited no time for our food to arrive, but I requested extra napkins and again had a very long wait for them to arrive. I will say my shrimp meal was delicious as well as my tortilla soup. I loved my meal. Even my refried beans were extra good. However, my wife was not pleased with her Chili Verde meal. She said she has had better. The place was hopping and everyone was waited well by a cheerful staff, nice ambiance. Just a few service lapses. I know we will try the place again as it is very close to our house.

Went in to eat never was greeted stood there 5 min with no one acknowledging I was at the hostess desk it smelled like poop in there just a bad experience I'll never set foot in there again bad customer service

Great place! Been coming here since I was a teenager, now I'm in my mid 40's. The carnitas has always been my favorite. The waitress was super kind and helpful. They've added a new wing with more seating and a bar.

Ordered food to go. Seems like a cool little mom and pop Mexican restaurant. Food was great and good size portions.

Lived here my whole life and this USED to be the spot. The last two times I've been here I'm disappointed with how they up charge and don't communicate it with the guests. They have size small and large portions for a lot of their items and each time I order something they automatically make it a large and I'm stuck with the bill. I've always ordered the small portion. Today I ordered a nacho which is $11, but the bill said it was $17 and some change. I also asked for a side of jalapeño and the bill was an extra $2. A whole $8 up charge on my meal. Ethically the wait staff should be INFORMING customers "that's an extra charge" or ASKING "would you like small or large?" NOT just automatically charging people larges to make more money. This wasn't the first time they done this. I won't be going back...

I had always driven past over the years not knowing this gem was available. It was by chance I came with my group as a rest stop and we were pleasantly surprised! Menus, drinks, and meals were received promptly and very well prepared. Follow ups came regularly and requests completed quickly. Now I plan to make this a regular stop whenever possible!

I don't what happened but I got sick on a Friday on shredded beef hard tacos the meat for the 1st time looked redish I've never seen the color the next day I was throwing up and the waitress did not take our order until 30min later and they're really wasn't alot of people 1st time we were treated light trap I'm sorry ... I love this place but I'm not gonna be going any time soon and have been attending here for 15 yrs the waitresses know who I am .. So sad I always leave a decent tip ....

Casa Sanchez has been a favorite stop for us over the years. We've moved out of state but can't wait to visit when we are in town. Tonight the family of Casa Sanchez delivered a great meal once again. We had the albondigas soup, carne asada soft taco, shredded beef taco with beans and rice. Authentic Mexican food as always. And the service is amazing. Highly recommend this place for a great meal. Gracias Casa Sanchez!

The albóndiga soup was just water & pepper. The fajitas came with undercooked bell peppers and over oiled onions. Rice was hard & the beans were canned. The salsa was watery tomatoes. Overall the service was horrible too. No one checked on us and I would not come back. Try Porto's on central way better!

Nice place larger than it looks from outside. Nice roomy seating . Employees were polite and had great customer service. The menu has a vast selection from appetizers to dinner. We got guacamole, delicious as was the Jamaica. The food was delicious, served piping hot. We were not hurried out but left to enjoy our conversation and food. Reasonable prices, we shall return.

I have been going here for years. The food is delicious. They have the best tacos. I usually order the chili relleno & taco plate. Friendly staff and the service is always great.

Had lunch today, service was great from Ana food was good too. I have gone several times and it is consistently a nice experience.

We went here a few evenings ago and had the best time! I have been going here since I was a little girl, and I always remembered the food and service being amazing. This time was of no exception. My mom ordered the chili verde burrito (massive)! And I ordered the one item plate. They kept the refills coming, the chips and salsa were fresh and the food was on point. They have an amazing selection that should make anyone in your party happy. It looks like they have a decent amount of seating for larger parties and a new(er) bar. I would highly recommend!

The service and food was absolutely amazing. We came in on a Sunday and had the menudo. The flavor was on point and fire . Serafin the owner also made sure to make us feel at home , checking in on us through out our meal. THANK YOU

The place is like a hacienda beautiful first time today the food wow delicious I had carnitas with eggs yummy my husband order menudo by far the best menudo we try quesadillas de pollo huevos con chorizo every plate was very good highly recommend it will not be desapointed

The food could be amazing if they seasoned it. This place have 0 flavor in the food. It was the most plain Mexican food. But it was still decent. Just use that spice rack. Service was ok, Everyone was nice.

The food is great! But the service is bad the waitresses seem like they're in a bad mood, they make us feel unwelcome. They need to work on their GET which means greet, engage, and thank customers.

For some reason the Cook negleted to Dad flavor Chili verde no verde was just pork And gravy no spice Cocido. Meat tasted like It was just boiled in Water And Broth had no beef broth taste. Guacamole Also . No jalepeno or Salt very bland

Delicious restaurant. No complaints. Got the carne asada plate. Yummy. Meat was tender. Plate was huge. Think I paid around $14 for my meal. Well worth it. Service was good. Our server was prompt. One of the better Mexican restaurants around.

Service can be very slow at times. Almost as if you have been forgotten about. Other times, it can be random check-ins, not frequent enough to not need anything but just enough to always need a refill or napkins. Inside is a bit crowded and occasionally has dirty tables. Easily fixable, and I'm sure they will. The food is some of the best in the area. Our favorite is the crunchy tacos. They are consistently flavorful and crunchy. The salsa is good, but the chips are a bit stale. Especially if you get a batch that has sat for a wee bit too long. Parking can get tricky during peak eating hours.

We have seen this place alot driving home and decided to have an early dinner. And we were not disappointed. Flavor was there, the staff was friendly and it was a very good experience.

I will keep this short and simple because this is all it deserves. I have been coming here for well over 15 years now and while we have noticed that the restaurants has been going down hill quickly. I hadn't been here in a while so we thought we should try it. I ordered a number 13 (chili relleno, enchilada, hard shell taco). A plate of steak picado A kids order of nuggets and fries. I ate my taco first which was tasty. Took a couple bites of the enchilada and started on my chili relleno. When I got half way I noticed I was eating nothing but egg. So I began to pull the egg out of the sauce and notice what I thought was green chili spots. Boy was I wrong. I pulled the green spots apart and I was so disgusted I didn't even take pictures of the GREEN MOLD, GREEN HAIRY MOLD, GREEN HAIRY SMELLY MOLD. what I thought was chili was green mold. I immediately put my fork down and ran to the bathroom to vomit I was so grossed out. My family did not eat the rest of their food they ordered, they didn't even want to drink the sodas. My husband brought it to their attention and they took the plate I ordered off the bill. Which is fine. But I didn't think we should have even been expecting to pay anything after that. The server did apologize but that was about it. I do not recommend this place not to my worst enemy. Which I find so sad after so many years of coming to this place.

This place continues to please both our appetites and wallets. Drinks are stiff Y comida bien Rico!

My favorite Mexican restaurant! I've been coming here my whole life. When friends ask my favorite local spot, this is always the place. Amazing salsa, fresh every time. Amazing rice, beans, fajitas, shrimp enchiladas, wet burritos, etc. The ambiance is exactly what I look for in a restaurant, clean, laid back, and comfortable. For my family, this is the place we go to for all our birthday dinners. When I moved 30 minutes away I would drive back here specifically for this food. Can't say enough good things!

Everything on the menu is good. The hard shell tacos and the enchiladas are my family's favorites. I like the chili rellano's, tamales and chili Colorado. All the burritos are big and delicious. I like that the combination plates come with a salad.

This place has become our whole family's favorite location since we discovered it a few months ago. I hate to admit that we've been here atleast once a week since. You can't beat the large shareable portion for the decent prices and they're delish! The staff is kind and we never seen anyone working with an attitude or upset. Which is pretty rare now days. Every server helps every table which is nice. The ac works great and I like the authentic Mexican decor with the wooden frames and attention to detail with the wood crafts. Our favorite dish is the chiliquiles and chili Reno. The michiladas are so refreshing that I sometimes even order the with seltzer water instead of beer just to keep having more. The owner Serafin, is most of the time there and hustling just as hard as the serving staff.

We have found that this place is always so good. We are new to the area. I love that we found an authentic Mexican restaurant. They always keep it clean and that's important to me. It can get busy on weekends so there might be a wait. The beans are just to die for! I love these beans and I feel like I need to order them with each dish. I love the food it's always fresh. The portion sizes are big. They don't skimp on the rice and beans. They give you a lot. I've ordered taquitos, tacos, huevos rancheros and chiliquellas with egg. The tacos are crispy and the chili quellas are super good. The waitress seem to have a lot of tables but you know what that seems to be everywhere. The staff are sweet and friendly. The coffee is really good too!

First time there and I order to go, had a craving for menudo and I found this place on google I read a bit and it look okay, I stop by Sat morning and the place looked nice, clean, good vibe, guy that help was really nice and friendly, and the whole crew looked nice, THIS REVIEW IS FOR THE MENUDO ONLY, I don't and can't coment on anything else, I'm sorry I don't mean to hurt any bussiness and hope you read this and perhaps improve it, MENUDO is flat it don't have much flavor, i had better and I had worse, order came with chips and salsa, the salsa needs improvement also, it taste like it's been in the fridge for a while, I feel it should taste fresh. Yhank you all for your time, and as I say, all bussinesess are worth at least one try out. Now as far as the pricing 10.25 for a small and 12.25 for a large I feel the prices are a bit high to the portion size. I feel both should be a bit bigger or price a buck or two lower..I will try one more visit as to dine in and see how other stuff is.

Had the menudo today..... Really disappointed. Zero flavor, added salt, chile, onion and lemon still not impressed. I have to say on the plus side they use honey comb menudo and the servings are decent. The chips and salsa tasted funky, the chips were stale and salsa was sour and the onion over powered the salsa. Will think twice before returning, at least I won't be ordering menudo.

I hadn't been here in a long time. I just had the worst chile relleno of my life! The only thing decent was the soup before the meal. My friend and I couldn't finish any of our food, not even basic Spanish rice. Soy Mexicana and i know good Mexican food. I will not be returning!

Bad service bad food the staff is rude and mean it takes so long to get anything from them stuff that should be serviced with you food weather you eat it or not should be on the table over price and they like to charge you extra when your not looking so kit eat at this place

I went back to this restaurant yesterday after not being there for about 2 years thinking it might be better by now. Took my grandson which he lives a distant from me & comes to visit when he can. Glad to say he ordered the Tilapia plate which he enjoyed,thank goodness! I ordered the taquitos lunch special which the rice & beans were ok but the taqitos were like the ones you buy at the grocery store in a box! I didn't complain bcuz I didn't want to spoil it for my grandson. As far as the waitress she never came to ask us if we needed anything, we asked a young man when he saw him filling napkins at tables for extra napkins & my grandson asked 4 more water. I wouldn't of made a bad review for this reason but wait it gets worse! I ordered a cosido to take home to eat today & told the waitress I wanted less cabbage as possible.she said it was all together, well to make the story shorter, getting ready to eat the cosido today all I got in the soup was mostly cabbage ,1 piece of small meat, 1 potatoes & 2 carrots. No tortillas, no cilantro, no hot sauce, no onions & about 6 slices if lemon wedges. I wasn't going 2 leave a tip for the waitress but I'm a Christian & know that there pay isn't much so I left $ 5.00. Had I known about the cosido I would of left her a penny! God doesn't like ugly & obviously she doesn't like her job. Doesn't realize without customers going to pay her wages she wouldn't have a job! She as well probably not happy with her life! Next time ill take my grandson across from Sanchez which he loves & spend my $ where its deserved food & service!​

The salsa for the chips was really good the chips were a little stale even with that it still was a great snack before eating my burrito. The Colorado burrito was just ok I added rice and cheese to mine. I'm the sauce was good the only thing is that the meat is bland and tuts not cooked in the sauce other than that I definitely enjoyed the burrito. I d t think I'll get it again tho I'll try something else.

Horrible service. Waitress would not even address my mom but would go to my dad for everything. My mom can order for for her self thank you. This is the second time this same server has completely ignored my mom. Food was horrible, tasted like it had been sitting out all day. Same with the drinks they ordered. We've given this place a try multiple times now and the outcome is always the same. We will not be back.
